Fahc Ramwood?
Ohhh... Ramwood’s a good one, Kays, I love me some Ramwood.1. Ryan was the one Geoff had to court the longest to join the crew. He was the cities’ biggest ghost and it took a very long time to even track him down enough to get a message to him, let alone to convince him to join. It took an arduous, painstaking year and for a while Geoff was certain Ryan was just playing hard to get just to be a piece of shit. When really Ryan wanted to make sure that Geoff wouldn’t be like previous bosses, using and abusing and discarding him like all the others. It was a long, painful process that ended with another year of Ryan wearing his mask and going by The Vagabond, but when he finally got Ryan to crack and show them his face and his smile, Geoff though this heart was going to melt from joy.2. Ryan will bring Geoff gifts. Not dead bodies or anything equally as vulgar as some people may assume the Vagabond will give, but real, genuine gifts. He plays it off as something simple, like a gorgeous watch or a nice pair of shoes, but it’s really a way of showing Geoff that he appreciates the stolidity of his place in the crew and that he’s loyal to Geoff entirely.3. Speaking of loyalty, Geoff revels in the idea that he can fully control the Vagabond. It’s a game he likes to play in front of particularly belligerent client. He’ll speak with them personally instead of sending Gavin and he’ll take Ryan with him. Only the two of them because that’s all they need to scare the man into compliance. The mystery of Ramsey, all black mustache and shiny shoes, with the lurking presence of the Vagabond over his right hand shoulder. All Ramsey needs to do is snap his finger and the Vagabond will kill every other person in that room. A simple shake of his head will stop the man mid-act. Rumor has it that if Ramsey twirled his finger, the Vagabond will roll over like a dog. Normally it would be assumed that Ryan would despise these rumors, but he spreads most of them himself. He likes it to be known who in this world can call the Vagabond to heel. 4. After a particuarlly busy day, Geoff will get headaches. Ryan knows pressure points and is a pretty damn good massusist. He’ll lay the other out on the bed and gently work the stress out of his muscles. Geoff always is a pile of relaxed puddy after the work. Sometimes Geoff will try to return the favor after a long, physical day for Ryan, sprawled out on the bed, but he’s not as good. Ryan appreciates the effort all the same.5. If Ryan ever gets hurt, Geoff sees red. There are stories of Ramsey ordering the destruction of entire warehouses, the elimination of entire crews, for one wrong shot connecting on the skin of the Vagabond. The anger of Ramsey is something to fear at any time, but if you hurt his dog, woe betide you. The only thing awaiting you is misery. If god forbid anyone killed the Vagabond..... the only thing this city would see for weeks is the main streets running thickly red with blood and a man standing in the stream with the corpses of those who dared to take Ryan from him.Ramwood is one of my fav ships, by far. Such a good one.

from a little piece about my Warden, Mazin, and Alistair. The whole piece has a light-hearted, silly vibe as I got to explore Alistair’s POV - particularly an older, kinglier but still silly Alistair POV. I think this line gives a good indication of what to expect from the story as a whole:
After breakfast, Mazin positioned the vase in the windowsill closest to their bed while he, like a true king, struggled to put on his pants.

*regarding your lastest Keyleth post Wow, I'd never even thought of it like that but that makes total sense. Korrin isn't the type of dad who openly abuses but would gaslight her for not doing as much as she should. Definitely something to think about.
tbh, I think it mostly has to do with Matt’s reluctance to give ALL the VM member’s bad dads… Which, like, I get.  The whole group has horrible daddy issues and over-all great moms who are dead/missing.  It’s a Thing that probably ends up happening a lot and for him as a DM to deal with 100s of player characters who have a bad dad, there can only be so many different ways he can tell that story before it gets old.
But then, Korrin’s expectations on Keyleth are exceedingly mundane compared to the usual bad dads seen in fiction and it’s something that is so relatable to most people and is also something that can be redeemed and be worked through by father and daughter to mend their relationship.  And, like, by having Korrin to respond as he did during her talk with him… And for everything Keyleth said to be true…… Then, yeah it’s like you said, it ends up characterizing Korrin as gaslighting Keyleth, which just makes Korrin an even worse father than was even intended.

1 and 3 for the ask meme
1. Describe yourself how you would describe a character you’re introducing.
They weren’t someone you’d think you could get close to. It was the height, it was the layers of clothing, it was the sunglasses, it was the headphones that all spelt out ‘don’t talk to me.’ There was power in their stride, in their stance, taking up space in a way no one else could, and yet they could disappear from your sight if they wanted to. Because while you were watching them, thinking that they couldn’t see you, they had been watching you in turn, waiting for you to make your move.
3. What is your absolute favorite kind of fic to write?
i really love post apocalyptic fics, future fics. that type of genre is increasingly gritty and i LOVE gritty. i love gritty fics. i love getting into the gritty politics, putting people into this difficult positions of power, giving them the space to make grand speeches. i’m writing this one original story right now and it’s hitting ALL of my major buttons. that and i’m pretty sure That White Picket Fence will follow this stream as well

1. Describe yourself how you would describe a character you’re introducing.
i don’t really introduce characters since its fanfiction and everyone just knows who you’re talking about haha. but i can try i guess: ‘And there they sat, hunched over their computer, distracting themself from all the shit they know they should be doing, but just can’t quite work up the motivation to do it.’
10. What inspires you the most?
everyone else’s great fucking au ideas and the great asks i get honestly. this fandom is creative as shit and i love it. so many amazing aus to play around with. but, on the more silly answer, its looking at an au or situation and thinking ‘how can i make these characters hurt?’

6: What are you looking forward to in the next week?I’m heading back home to Nova Scotia on Friday! We’re going down to visit for ten whole days, I’m super stoked to see my family and friends.
25: Have you ever cried from being so mad?Hmmm. I might have before, but I can’t really recall anything right off the top of my head? I usually get quiet and just ignore people when I’m really mad.

5: Talk about the best birthday you’ve had.
I don’t really do birthdays? I kind of just chill like a normal day but the family might take me out to eat? I guess last year’s was really cool cause I got to go to California as part of my birthday gift/vacation! We went to Vegas, Hollywood, LA, Arizona, the Grand Canyon, and some other smaller places that were really sweet to see!
8: Talk about the thing you are most proud of.
Already answered!
9: Talk about little things on your body that you like the most.
Right by my right eye, I have three little freckles that are in a line going towards my ear and I don’t know why I love them so much? And then of course there are my babies that I paid for that I love A LOT! My three tattoos on my right shoulder blade, left shoulder, and behind my right ear.

10, 15, 18 for the fic writing ask.
10.  Favorite line or lines of dialogue that you've written
I’m really proud of how I wrote the Jack confronting Geoff scene in Primal Instinct. I feel like I don’t write Jack that well or Jack and Geoff’s relationship, so it was nice to have fun with that one.
15.  Does font matter to you when you're writing a draft?
Not really
18.  If you could go back and revise one of your older stories, which would it be?
If I could, I would rewrite Primal Instinct. While I like it more now than I did before, I wish I had sat down to outline what I wanted instead of freewriting it. Plus, with it being one of my first fics, I feel like I’m a better writer now.

12) Who is your favourite character to write for? Why?
First inclination was to say Gavin because he’s pretty fun, angst or shenanigans or better yet: both. Then I was gonna say Jeremy because sometimes I feel like I can just capture him like *finger snaps* but then I have phases where I’m Oh God What Do so not really. I’ve had a lot of fun writing Geoff and Michael lately? And writing asshole!Jack is always awesome?
I think my final answer is Ryan, though. Ryan the drama queen, Ryan the dork, Ryan the badass - just all the flavours of Ryan. He’s super fun to write.
24) How do you feel about writing smutty scenes?
Oh y’know :^)
lol but what a good question though. Smut can be super tedious to write - it just feels like so much physical description, especially since that’s been my style focus for a while, I’ve kinda lost perspective on how to make it emotionally satisfying? And that is most obvious for me when I’m writing smut?
But if I’m really into it - inspired by something, have a clear goal or image in mind - it just flows, man. No pun intended.
25) Have you ever cried whilst writing a story?
Ohh, good question. I’ve definitely cried while reading or beta-reading a story (looking at you @whalehuntingboyfriends and your damn Burning Bright(specifically the Michael fire scene. Go read it, everyone!))
I don’t think I’ve cried writing before though? Like I get emotional, but I’m also aware of where the story is going (and how it’s gonna get better) that it tends to take a lot of the emotional punch out of it for me?
It’s very similar to how I have problems trying to determine if a mystery is ~mysterious enough (did I drop too many clues? am I being too obvious? is it too out of left field?). In my brain the story already exists in full finished glory, and it’s hard to take that knowledge away and look at a story “objectively”.

4. In your opinion and without looking at any numbers, what’s your most popular fic?
i’m gonna say Expedition Wild West. everyone just went nuts for that one apparently. and i’m very proud of how it turned out and how people reacted to it because the momentum behind it definitely gave me the go ahead to set up camp here and keep going with the stories.
23. What’s the nicest review you’ve ever gotten?
when someone compared my 7 days story Survival of the Fittest to pizza. here’s the full review.
humanwhatshiscape :I really just can't get enough of this, to be honest. Somehow this fic just feels so warm and comfortable to me, while not being the sort of aimless fluff-fest those descriptors would typically be used for. For me this is like the fanfic equivalent of comfort food. Like... pizza. It's got everything I want in a way thats not overwhelming. So gently compelling, and considering my love for homesteading and wilderness survival, theres no surprise really that I ate this up.
If you are up for it, I would absolutely love for more in this verse. I'm sure others would agree, but theres no pressure. Thanks for writing this, and for your your timely updates at that.”
and THAT is one of the best reviews i’ve ever received. my writing is on par with pizza
eat your damn heart out
