Drunken Love

Genshin Impact - Kazuha x Tomo

A/N: Ayyy, our first collab is finally out! I'm so happy I got the chance to collab with @softmacchiato HEHEH *cahem*

Anyway, I hope you guys had as much fun as we did writing this

Summary: After hanging out with some friends, Tomo decides that Kazuha had enough drinking for the night and decides to take him back home

Word count: 2254 words

Warnings: Clear mentions of alcohol consumption

The crowd cheered, raising their cups before starting another round of drinking. The samurai weren’t sure, at that point, what was behind their little celebration anymore. It, however, didn’t stop any of them from chugging another cup dry. Well, not all of them. Sitting in one of the corners, Tomo watched the rest of the group unamused, giving all his attention to the white-haired guy next to him while moving his index finger in circles on the edges of the cup.

“Are you sure you can handle this much, Kazuha? ~” Tomo sighed, with a pinch of worry in his heart as he saw the smaller guy take another sip.

“‘Course…” Kazuha hiccuped as he finished his drink, comically leaning his head back as he turned the cup a near full 180 degrees to get the last drop of booze in his mouth.

Tomo chuckled as he watched his friend desperately fish for the last of the booze before gently pulling the cup away from him. ‘That’s enough for him for the night…’ he thought, holding the cup a little higher, making sure the other wouldn’t snatch it back.

Kazuha loved drinking and he didn’t blame him. But Kazuha also didn’t listen to his body, continuing to drink, drink and drink until he was too drunk to even stand. Luckily, Tomo wasn’t much of a drinker and he understood his limits. So he took it upon himself to watch how much Kazuha drank and, usually, stopped him at a good point where Kazuha was drunk enough to slur his words and stumble about, but wouldn’t have a hard time navigating through the next morning.

Tomo sighed, watching Kazuha begin hiccuping and giggling to himself over seemingly nothing. Kazuha had been staring out towards the rest of the room, giggling at Archon's know what, a loopy smile plastered on his face as he swayed in his seat. Tomo chuckled. He already found Kazuha’s mind fascinating on a regular basis but when Kazuha was drunk it was definitely something else. He clutched onto Kazuha’s cup to keep it out of his hands, Kazuha was drunk enough already.

“Give… it back, Tomooo.. ~” The smaller one whined once he noticed the cup away from his hands, trying to take it back from his friend, who was holding the cup out of his reach. Pouting, Kazuha was barely aware of the redness of his face, staring at Tomo with annoyed and half-closed eyes.

“No,” Tomo replied with a chuckle, placing both his and Kazuha’s cups away, more to the center of the table. Barely disturbing the group’s conversation, he leaned a little closer to the other man, before resuming their little argument, “I think we should head back, yes? We have a lot to do tomorr-”

He stopped at the middle of his sentence, noticing how Kazuha’s mind had already drifted away. Tomo placed his hand on the boy’s forehead, pushing some of the bangs away from his face and making him lift his head and look back at him. Staring him at a close distance, he could admire the redness in his face’s features. “Are you even listening to me, Kazuha?” Tomo complained, trying to sound annoyed, despite being amused at the cute and helpless state of his friend.

“Heheh…” A quiet giggle was Kazuha’s answer, with a lost look in his eyes.

“Sigh, what’s so funny now?”

“You are so… handsome, heh…”

“Yeah, yeah, you are pretty cute, too,” Tomo muttered, letting out a nervous chuckle. He stood up, placing his hand at Kazuha’s shoulder to make sure he would stay still and turned to the group, speaking a little louder to make sure he would be heard through the loud crowd.“I think we are heading back now, guys, but thanks for tonight!”

“Oh, bye! Bye!”

Kazuha waved and sang goodbye as Tomo ushered him out of the tavern. Kazuha’s happy smile was beginning to pull at his heartstrings and he needed to get out of the public eye before he lost his mind.

This was actually the main reason behind why he wanted to leave in the first place. Yes, Kazuha was drunk, but Tomo was sure he wouldn’t be able to stop himself if Kazuha continued acting so cute. Not that Tomo was embarrassed about their relationship, show Kazuha some affection or anything like that, he just wanted to keep most things between the two of them… Like how he wanted to kiss all over Kazuha’s blushing face until he was giggling in his arms.

“Hmmm… where are we going?” The smaller samurai lazily asked, dragging the words out of his throat. With his attention span shortened due to the alcohol, it took him a couple of seconds to stray from their path.

“We are going- hey, Kazuha! Don’t go there,” he scolded his partner, reaching his hand out to him again, but, this time, firmly holding at Kazuha’s wrist. “Sigh, we are going back home, Kazuha.”

“To… your home?” Kazuha asked, stumbling every now and then as he tried to keep up with Tomo’s pace as he pulled him by his wrist.

Tomo rolled his eyes at the question, but supposed it would be better to not give it much thought. “Yes, my home.”

And just as these words reached the other man, he felt Kazuha trying to jerk his hand away from his grip. Scared at the idea of possibly hurting his boyfriend, Tomo quickly let go, turning around and facing Kazuha with a concerned look. For some reason, he seemed angry. “K-Kazuha? What’s wrong? Did I hurt you?”

“I can’t go to your home,” he said firmly, pouting and holding his wrist where Tomo was holding him just moments ago.

“What? Why not?”

“I have a boyfriend, you know?”

Tomo opened his mouth to protest, but the words just wouldn’t come out. As the confusion struck him, the man squatted in front of his partner, face palming as he started giggling. “O-oh, you do?”

“Yes,” Kazuha nodded. “So, I can’t go home with you…”

Tomo giggled again as Kazuha frowned at him. “What does your boyfriend look like?”

“Well… He’s really tall, he’s got blond hair, and he ties it up which makes him look really handsome…” Kazuha began describing his boyfriend as Tomo smiled at him. It was flattering to hear Kazuha talk about him like this - Kazuha was always too shy to spill these thoughts without them being in some sort of elaborate haiku… But in these moments, Tomo gets to hear Kazuha’s raw thoughts about him.

“Is that so?” Tomo asked, inching closer to Kazuha as the drunk nodded.

“Yes, so I have to go home to him,” Kazuha insisted.

“Let me take you there, then,” Tomo sighed softly, thinking it would be the best way to avoid that silly discussion, “I’m sure he is worried about you, don’t you think?”

Kazuha stopped in silence, giving it some thought or, at least, trying to, since the alcohol was still running in his veins. “...fine, you can take me there,” he mumbled, looking at Tomo. And, just like that, before he could say another word, the taller male turned his back to him, wrapping his arms around Kazuha’s legs and picking him up.

“W-what are you doing?” Kazuha gasped in surprise, wrapping his arms around Tomo’s neck tightly, afraid of falling to the ground.

“Hahah, calm down, Kazuha, I’m just giving you a ride. I can take you to your boyfriend’s place faster like this,” Tomo chuckled, sparing the other of the fact that he was going too slow for his taste and, by giving him a piggyback ride, he wouldn’t have to worry about the samurai straying from their path or stumbling over nothing.

“Fine… but how do you know where he lives..?”

“Ahh, he is… a really known man around here, heh… Everyone knows him, you are lucky to have him,” Tomo said cockly, starting to walk while he felt Kazuha resting his chin on his shoulder, close to his neck.

With arms wrapped around him, the taller male continued his path, carefully taking step by step as they went down a set of stairs. He felt when Kazuha slightly leant his head on his, almost as if in the blink of a good night's sleep.

“A-ah..!”

A surprise gasp escaped Tomo’s lips, however, when he felt his boyfriend’s warm breath on his neck. A hot, slow stream of air that made him freeze on stop, tensing up his muscles as his only worry was to not drop his partner on the ground.

“H-hey, Kazuha… can’t you move your he-hnng!! H-hehey!”

Now, it was a giggle’s turn to break free from his lips. As Kazuha slightly shifted his head’s position, his hair brushed against Tomo’s ear, making the taller one shudder as he tried to hold back his laughter. Stopping in the middle of the street, he stomped his feet, trying to recover some balance as Kazuha continued to nuzzle against the side of his neck, sending ticklish shivers down his back.

“C-cohohome on, stohohop this, K-Kazuha! ~” The blonde whined,clenching his hands into fists as he lowered his head, trying to evade his boyfriend’s.

“Hnng… stop moving…” Kazuha muttered, quiet enough to be almost inaudible. He tightened his hold around Tomo’s neck, forcing him to fix his posture and move his head back into Kazuha’s reach.

“A-ack! K-Kahazuhaha, d-don’t!” The man gasped, nearly stumbling over his own legs as his boyfriend sighed deeply on his neck, teasing him with his warm breath again.

“...I wanna go home…”

“F-fihihine, but stohohop with thehe t-tickling!”

Kazuha squinted his eyes, making Tomo let out some stiff giggles again as he moved his head again. “...I’m not tickling you… you are being loud,” he complained, resting his chin on Tomo’s shoulder while the other caught up his breath.

“And whose fault is it?” He snapped, turning his head to look at his boyfriend’s sleepy face, the scent of alcohol was still strong. Sigh, there was no point in talking to him right now… “just… stay still, alright? We will get home in no time.”

“...hmph, fine,” Kazuha sighed, sending another shiver down his boyfriend’s back before he finally started to walk again.

One step after the other, Tomo finally managed to pick up his pace. It was pretty late already and staying in the streets at that hour would do the couple no good - well, it wasn’t like they couldn’t protect themselves in case anything happened, but better safe than sorry, as the saying goes.

The taller male was sure that, at some point, Kazuha dozed off on his shoulder. He amused himself with the quiet, but heavy snoring as his boyfriend seemed to fall into a peaceful rest, being extra careful as he walked to not wake him up.

After a couple more steps, Tomo smiled at the sight of his home, slightly shaking his shoulder to wake up his partner. “We are almost there, Kazuha…” he hummed, content.

“...hm? Ah… good, I’m tired,” he mumbled, sleepness adding to the alcohol in the grogginess of his voice.

“Just bear it a little lon- GYAH- K-Kazuha!” Tomo squealed, freezing on the spot again as he felt his partner’s lips against the side of his neck. He could feel the heat spreading over his cheeks, panicking as Kazuha seemed to have woken in a completely different mood.

“...I want to go to bed and…” he pressed his lips against the bottom of the blonde’s ear, whispering his drunk, dirty thoughts into his boyfriend's ear. The taller male tried to scrunch up his shoulder in an attempt to protect himself - he could feel Kazuha smiling against his skin, that little brat…

“L-lehehet’s get i-inside, Kazuhahah….” He whined softly, a shy smile already cracking up his facade. They were so close, why did he have to start messing with him now?!

“You are… so sensitive today, Tomo…” The other mused, fiddling with his boyfriend’s clothes before he slid one of his hands inside the chest window on the blonde’s clothes, feeling the warmth of his skin. “It’s almost… funny, heh.”

“You- ahah, n-noho!” He giggled, feeling the ticklish feeling spread from his neck, laughing whenever the other kissed a slightly different spot. “P-plehease, I’ll drohohop you!”

Kazuha, however, seemed to ignore his boyfriend’s pleas, sliding his hand further inside his clothes and planting another kiss against the back of his neck. With his other hand, Kazuha raised a finger, holding it out in front of Tomo’s smiling lips. “You’ll wake up our neighbors… let’s go home, Tomo.”

Tightening the grip around his legs to make sure he would fall off, Tomo tried to furrow his brows - despite not being able to hold his giggles or hide his smile. “Aha- y-yohohou,” he stopped himself from talking, biting his inner lip as he held back a chuckle. “Y-you were sohohober?”

A soft chuckle came from behind as Kazuha rested his head on his boyfriend’s shoulder again. The little nap while being carried around helped him come back to (most of) his senses, but he didn’t want it to end like that - not so soon.

“Hmm… no, I’m still a little tipsy, Tomo… Please, take me home ~”

The taller male sighed, using the little break from the teases to take a deep breath. “You are done when we get ho- ahahah, c-cohohome on!” His laughter interrupted him, once again, as he saw no other option, but to keep walking. That night would be longer than he expected…
