Sir Edwin Arnold – KCIE, CSI, (1884)
The Making of Man
When the Lord would fashion men,
Spake He in the Angels' hearing,
"Lo! Our will is there shall be On the earth a creature bearing Rule and royalty. To-day We will shape a man from clay."
Spake the Angels,
"Wilt Thou make Man who must forget his Maker, Working evil, shedding blood, Of Thy precepts the forsaker? But Thou knowest all, and we Celebrate Thy majesty."
Answered Allah, "Yea! I know What ye know not of this making; Gabriel! Michael! Israfil! [May Allah be pleased with them]
Go down to the earth, and taking
Seven clods of colours seven,
Bring them unto Me in Heaven."
Then those holy Angels three Spread their pinions and descended; Seeking clods of diverse clay,
That all colours might be blended;
Yellow, tawny, dun, black, brown,
White and red, as men are known.
But the earth spake, sore afraid,
"Angels! of my substance take not; Give me back my dust, and pray that the dread Creator make not Man, for he will sin, and bring Wrath on me and suffering."
Therefore empty-handed came Gabriel, Michael, Israfil, Saying, "Lord! Thy earth imploreth Man may never on her dwell; 'He will sin and anger thee, Give me back my clay! 'cried she."
Spake the Lord to Azrael (Angel of Death), “Go thou, who of wing art surest. Tell my earth this shall be well; Bring those clods, which thou procurest From her bosom, unto Me;
Shape them as I order thee.” Thus 'tis written how the Lord Fashioned Adam [peace and blessings be upon him] for His glory,
Whom the Angels worshipped, All save Iblis; and this story Teacheth wherefore Azrael saith, "Come thou!" at man's hour of death.
Lord of the Earth and Heavens

Inktober the 17th! So late!!! But I've been so sick. :(
*Yesterday's* prompt was necromancer. I wasn't super excited about it until a couple friends at work gave me some awesome ideas. ;) This is a junior necromancer summoning an army of the dead who happen to have umbrellas while the "Big Dark" approches in the background. I forgot the little "splishes" though.

Inktober the 6th!Today's theme is oracle!!! Maybe her staff is how she sees her visions... I really like how the cape turned out here and the top of the staff. I wish it was a little easier to see the metallic ink though.

Inktober the 3rd! Vagabond/Merchant Witch
I really like the idea of a traveling salesman/saleswitch who sells wands and potions. You can't really see them well, but those are supposed to be coins in her right hand.

I’m doing Inktober again this year!!! Sorry I haven’t posted for a while!
I’ve decided to follow the Witchtober prompt list by ochibrochi. The first prompt was a Seasonal Witch. I chose my favorite season, Fall! I feel like I won’t be able to make all of them colored like this one, but I’m happy that I had time to make this drawing pretty, haha.

I'm not a fan of how today's drawing went, but it happens. -_- I do like the idea behind it. ^_^ A grandma witch and her granddaughter witch gardening together. <3

Inktober the 11th!
Solar Witch! This one ended up getting a lot weirder than planned. Slightly more of a Medusa-esk hairstyle than intended. Light source, what light source. -_-

Inktober the 8th!
Today's prompt was "blood witch", but I decided to keep it pretty tame. Just a pretty red witch (with a vial of blood around her neck, bwahahahaha!!!).
