Sexuality Headcanon: this one's a toughie. i don't think Miu really knows herself, to be honest. with Kaede, my chosen Wife for her, she'd probably refer to herself as Gay or [insert Slur here] even if she had an attraction to men, but wouldn't really have a true label. outside of the narrative, though, the closest i'd call Miu is "pansexual though leans towards women." she isn't completely shut off from Dudes but also a lot of her attraction to them is, in fact, comphet

Gender Headcanon: cis, BUT. my self-indulgent headcanon about her gender presentation is that it, once again, is mostly tied to comphet. she shows off her Body because she thinks it's the right thing to do and she's comfortable with people ogling the Irumussy. additionally, i headcanon that she "filled out" all at once during puberty, and doesn't quite know how to Dress for her new body type still. yet if you divorced her from all that she'd wear overalls and a lab coat (but still probably whip out her tits at every possible opportunity and bend over like a porn star at weird angles. it's Miu, after all)

A ship I have with said character: everyone who follows me knows that Irumatsu is my big Miu (and Kaede) ship. however, i like any ship where people portray her as genuinely happy and being treated well, yet also not Walking All Over her partner. i just happen to think, in terms of purely in-character vibes, Kaede is the only one who would love Miu properly but wouldn't let Miu act up so to speak

A BROTP I have with said character: my crack-ass friendship for her is with Angie, who would civilize our dear Miu but also psychologically kick her ass if she started Being Weird. i've mentioned before that i also prefer stories where Miu and Keebo are more sibling-like

A NOTP I have with said character: since i like Miu happy but (for lack of a better term) disciplined (ha), my NOTP is any relationship where, canonically, she and her Partner would probably tear each other apart. i'm also kinda becoming ehh on Miu x Keebo though not for that reason. something about it Weirds me out, but this opinion could change over time

A random headcanon: she has a beloved sticker collection, as well as a pin collection. eventually this becomes how Kaede, fellow autist and hyperfixator, keeps her in line

Confessions over breakfast (691 words, M/M)

For Day 26 of @danganronpashipmonths Saioma month. Inspired by the prompt : Fake Dating

Shuichi isn't sure why he signed up to Danganronpa : Salmon Mode. But he has been enjoying his time here, even if it's only because of a certain someone. And after he's barely awake, that certain special someone brings Shuichi breakfast.

Shuichi still regretted signing up for… whatever he had signed up for. In fact, had he even signed up for ‘Danganronpa - Salmon mode’? He honestly couldn’t remember doing so, and it wasn’t exactly like Monokuma was a trustworthy source of information. Especially considering how odd the bear was… and how he seemed to defy all technological common sense. Even the Ultimate Inventor seemed surprised by his existence.

But this place hadn’t been too bad, so far. People had actually started to make friends. It was fairly obvious that Kaito and Maki liked each other, even if they didn’t exactly admit it. Other people had made friends as well, Miu and Keebo had been hanging out together - and he had actually found friends in this place as well; Kaede and Kokichi. Although, of everyone, he’d certainly been with Kokichi the most - out of everyone at least. They’d had a tea party together, played rock-paper-scissors for almost an hour, and Kokichi had even stabbed himself (maybe accidentally).

So when there was a sudden knock on his door, Shuichi could immediately tell who it was. Straightening up slightly, Shuichi called out, “Come in, Kokichi.”

“What if I’m not Kokichi?” the person at the door called out, before opening it. It was Kokichi, of course, with a large grin on his face and food in hand, “How d’you always guess it’s me?”

“You knock… very uniquely.”

“Aww, you pay that much attention to me?” Kokichi waltzed over, placing down the tray of food and then sitting on Shuichi’s bed, legs dangling off it, “I’m flattered.”

“It-it’s not that.” Shuichi said, averting his eyes slightly as he looked towards the desk instead. The tray Kokichi had brought up was surprisingly packed, with quite a bit of variety. Some more healthy breakfast options with yoghurt and granola, even some fresh fruit, and then also pancakes - and more traditional japanese cuisine.

“I suppose you memorising my knock is a detective thing as well as a obsessive lover thing,” Kokichi mused, “Kirumi made everything, by the way.”

“She did?”

“Well, I prepared the yoghurt and granola.” Kokichi suddenly pouted, “Apparently cause of the knife game, I’m not allowed around knives anymore.”

Shuichi let his eyes wander slightly to the finger Kokichi cut himself on, remembering the fear he felt when Kokichi cut himself. “Maybe it’s for the best?”

“Nuh-uh. Noooo way,” Kokichi darted up suddenly, taking some fruit before sitting back down, “Will you steal a knife for me Shuichi?”

“Absolutely not.”

“My beloved won’t even do it for me?” Kokichi’s eyes began to mist with tears, “Waahhhhh! You’re all so horrible!”

“Have a pancake.” Shuichi offered, holding out the plate and smiling as Kokichi immediately stopped crying - instead reaching out to grab a pancake and devour it. For a few minutes, the two ate in silence - companionable silence.

Eventually, Kokichi broke it, calling out, “Shuichi, can you pass me my juice?”

“Can’t you get it yourself?”

“I’m comfyyyyy.” Kokichi leaned back slightly more, as if to emphasise the point, “Besides, it’s what good house-husbands do.”

“House-husband?”

“Well, I can’t be the house-husband,” Kokichi sounded scandalised, “I’m too busy running the world, y’know.”

“So that means I have to be a house-husband why?”

“Well, you don’t have to be a house-husband…” Kokichi was looking at Shuichi from the corner of his eye now, “As long as I have you, I’m pretty much satisfied.”

“I-” Shuichi tried to convince himself the reason he couldn’t speak was because of the piece of pancake he’d just inhaled, not because of the fact he was incredibly red, “-Thank you, Kokichi.”

“Thank you?” Kokichi echoed, “Y’know, I thought you’d react stronger to my confession.”

This time, Shuichi really did choke on a piece of breakfast, his face also turning incredibly red as he forced out, “W-Wait - that was a confession? As in… you really like me?”

“Well, duh.” Kokichi had sat up now, “Weeeell, d’you like me back?”

“I,” Shuichi stopped for a second, it was odd because he hadn’t really thought about it - but he immediately knew the answer. His heart immediately knew the answer. “Of course - of course Kokichi. I like you.”

I love Sakura and Mondo because I am, and always have been, a complete sucker for buff people who are actually so soft. Mondo really made himself cry when he talked to Makoto about his dog and I will never be able to get over that. Sakura is the ultimate martial artist and people are always terrified of her at first glance but then it turns out she’s sweet and soft and feminine and cares deeply for her friends and her moral principals. Also they’re so gay so like that automatically gives them a million points

MAKOTO my darling dearest boy is so delightful, so optimistic, and also such a little freak (affectionately). He is truly the glue that holds the group together, he is so relatable, he’s secretly a snarky little bitch, and he’s the littlest guy ever in the world 🥰 Also something else that not only pertains to him but also the other protags as well that I love is the journey from being so insecure so realizing their true capabilities, which I just love for them

Gundham my beloved, was instantly so high in my list because he is A Goth, he has Hamsters, and he is so unapologetic about who he is. He wears all black, he loves eyeliner, he loves animals, he Talks Like That, he knows who he is and he likes to have fun, and he really does come to love and care for his friends and classmates by the end. He makes connections. He’s so autistic but that doesn’t stop anyone from loving him. He is everything to me ❤️

Keebo was immediately my fave in v3 because he is also such an autistic representation and he is immediately so sassy in scene 1, he is straightforward and intelligent, and his whole existence raises so many interesting philosophical questions about AI which I will probably talk more about in its own post, and he’s just so pure, so lovely. I love him. Best boy.

Shuichi baby. How can I even do him justice. He’s shy, he’s insecure, he’s a little emo boy (I see all black and I pass out and hit reblog), and he just needs a hug so bad. Also his arc is so satisfying to me, he undergoes grief, anxiety, depression, and he still comes out the other side stronger than he ever was. Also sassy, he has that signature protag sass and I love it.

Miu was a fave because she’s literally sooo annoying like why is she like that? Is she insecure too? Probably! But her methods of coping are so opposite to anyone else in the series (apart from toko/syo who I also like for the same reasons) that it’s just so comical. She hilarious, she’s also unapologetic, and she’s really out here just saying whatever. We love to see it.

Hajime and Nagito are so prevalent in my mind that I don’t even know where to start. There’s so much to say, and so much of it has been said already, but that won’t stop me from trying. They are mirrors, they are complimenting colours, they are victims of circumstance, they are the only ones who understand each other. They are so snarky, they’re smartasses, they’re simultaneously the smartest and dumbest people in the room at any given moment, they’re so insecure it hurts, but they’re so strong in their convictions that nothing short of the end of the world can shake them. As characters they are complex, they are funny, they are tragic, they go and in hand like chilli and dark chocolate, and that I think is what makes them each compelling as their own individual people as well. I have so many thoughts I cannot even hope to articulate. They’re just so. Soo. AAHG. Ya know?

Now that youre done with v3 may I ask about what your final thoughts on each character are? (Briefly, if you dont feel like elaborating too much-- like a senstence each maybe?)

Ok warning for opinions: I'm not head over heels for a lot of the cast

Shuichi- sweet boy I like his emo vibes (both in jest and also how he's actually pretty emotional)

Kaede- sweet girl gone to soon :'( why do this to the girl Protag

Kaito- fun guy I like him I hate his hair. Hypocrite (character trait) (not moral judgement) (affectionate)

Maki- grew on me a lot her expressions are cute. Also hypocrite (same brackets as above)

Himiko- good voice acting and I guess the character development was pretty good! Never grabbed me as a character tho

Keebo: my beloved. I didn't think he'd be so important! Thank you for being helpful and rational sweet robo boy.

Tenko: I've been told the translation made her a lot more aggressive than the original Japanese text but she sooooo annoying about the Degenerate Male thing and it was too much of her dialogue

Angie: most fun design, biggest cutie. I know she was kind of sinister sometimes but I forgive her BC I actually enjoyed the time she was on screen.

Korekiyo: coolest design, actually kind of intriguing character, but then the backstory hit... I dunno I could continue to be interested I guess but it's a little weird now.

Miu: I liked her more at the start but then I feel like she didn't grow at all? It's like she started being a bit different when Kaede was still protagging and then she just didn't stop being The Overtly Loud And Suggestive One.

Gonta: darling. Precious. Probably one of the saddest cases :(

Ryoma: I'm biased because fsr I liked him from the start. Didn't get a chance to develop much. Get him some therapy.

Oh my god there's so many of them aughshdh

Rantaro: pretty and good voice. What a waste of a good design since we didn't get to see him do like anything

Kirumi: I like her potential and I probably would have ended up liking her if she'd lived, but kudos for being one of the few calm and helpful characters.

Tsumugi: props for being incredibly unassuming if I hadn't already known. They really made her just boring enough to be not suspicious, but not too boring to be suspicious again. Annoying voice tho

Kokichi: only surpassed by the monokubs in how much l don't like him.

Monokubs: die
