Because I have this problem of comparing characters of things I like and it always turns out to be the most cursed thing ever, get ready for who (or at least type of person) I think would ending up marrying Azul Ashengrotto:
yes, the capitalist queen Sayaka Kanamori from Eizouken
Tumblr media
i made a "special" and poorly edited collage for them bc tumblr decided that "nope you won't get the icons aligned at all, sorry not sorry" and yeah... crossover crack ship at its finest, my guys

A Silly List of Yuri-focused Fandoms on Ao3
Because I have nothing better to do, I tried looking through the Ao3 anime & manga fandoms and see which ones have f/f as the most used relationship category. To limit things a bit and see which are the “biggest” fandoms there, I only noted down those that have over 100 f/f works.
(It’s possible that I’ve missed a few, so please tell me if you know of a fitting fandom!)
If there is a point to it (not really, I was just curious), I guess it’s to see which kind of fandoms gather a big percentage of yuri fanworks there. Some of the genres that come out are pretty much those you’d expect:
(and a few could work in multiple “genres” so take my categorizing with a grain of salt)
Magical Girls & MG adjacent:
Little Witch Academia
Mahou Shoujo Lyrical Nanoha | Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha
Mahou Shoujo Madoka Magika | Puella Magi Madoka Magica
Pretty Cure series (Futari wa Pretty Cure is the only particular series to have over 100 f/f works though)
Shoujo Kageki Revue Starlight (also Idol adjacent)
Shoujo Kakumei Utena | Revolutionary Girl Utena
Idols:
BanG Dream!
D4DJ First Mix
Love Live series (all versions have over 100 f/f works)
Zombieland Saga
Girls with Guns (& other modern weapons):
Akuma no Riddle | Riddle Story of Devil
Lycoris Recoil
Girls und Panzer
High-school Girls Groups & Clubs:
Azumanga Daioh
Eizouken ni wa Te wo Dasu na! | Keep Your Hands off Eizoken!
Hibike Euphonium
K-On!
Kakegurui (... yeah, I know, very different mood!)
“Yuri” manga adaptations: (quotation marks since not all are from purely yuri magazines)
citrus
Kobayashi-san Chi no Maid Dragon | Miss Kobayashi's Dragon Maid
Yagate Kimi ni Naru | Bloom Into You
YuruYuri
Science Fiction & Fantasy:
Kill la Kill
Mai-HIME
Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch from Mercury
Princess Principal
Senki Zesshou Symphogear
Toaru Kagaku no Railgun | A Certain Scientific Railgun
Close/ambiguous cases:
Idolm@ster has around as much m/m as f/f since both the female and male idols versions share the same fandom tag.
Higurashi no Naku Koro ni has just a bit more gen works than f/f ones, when I looked while writing this post.
Mai-Otome has 94 f/f works as of writing this.
Toaru Majutsu no Index | A Certain Magical Index has a majority of f/f works but that’s counting its spin-off “A Certain Scientific Railgun“. If we exclude it from the search, the amount of f/f works drops below 30 so I was hesitant on putting it in.

Watching Keep Your Hands off Eizoken! and wow sometimes it is all tool real.
I physically feel it whenever Kanamori pulls up an Excel spreadsheet and is like, “Time for a hard conversation about development tradeoffs.”

Netflix Revives 'Scott Pilgrim vs. The World' With Anime Hello again, friend of a friend! Netflix has ordered a full series of the rumored Scott Pilgrim anime series, which will reunite basically the entire cast of the cult classic rom-com/beat-em'-up/Metric-concert-video. News of the series first spread in January 2022, back when it was still in development at the streamer.Better yet, Bryan Lee O'Malley, who created the graphic novel series of the same name, will co-write and executive produce the Netflix version with BenDavid Grabinski, while Science SARU will animate it. The studio is known for some of the best-looking animations of the 21st century, like 2018's Devilman Crybaby re-imagining, Japan Media Arts Festival Grand Prize winner Keep Your Hands off Eizoken! and Tatami Time Machine Blues.Edgar Wright, the film's original director and co-writer, will also executive produce the series.Variety wasn't kidding when it said most of the cast of the original flick will be returning for the anime. Here's the official list: Michael Cera (Scott Pilgrim), Mary Elizabeth Winstead (Ramona Flowers), Satya Bhabha (Matthew Patel), Kieran Culkin (Wallace Wells), Chris Evans (Lucas Lee), Anna Kendrick (Stacey Pilgrim), Brie Larson Envy Adams), Alison Pill (Kim Pine), Aubrey Plaza (Julie Powers), Brandon Routh (Todd Ingram), Jason Schwartzman (Gideon Graves), Johnny Simmons (Young Neil), Mark Webber (Stephen Stills), Mae Whitman (Roxie), and Ellen Wong (Knives Chau). Additional cast members will be announced at a later date. As the outlet notes, this is just who we know of so far. Prior to the anime remake, Scott Pilgrim was made into a video game in 2010, which was later re-released in 2020. \u201cThis is not a drill! This is happening!\n\nAfter much musing over the years about there being potential for an anime adaptation of \u2018Scott Pilgrim\u2019, I\u2019m thrilled to say one is IMMINENT, with the whole cast back together and\u2026 you are going to lose your minds.\u201d — edgarwright (@edgarwright) 1680184881 On Twitter, Wright wrote of the news: "After much musing over the years about there being potential for an anime adaptation of Scott Pilgrim, I’m thrilled to say one is IMMINENT, with the whole cast back together and... you are going to lose your minds." He later added: "One of the proudest, most enjoyable achievements of my career was assembling the dynamite cast of Scott Pilgrim. Since the film’s release in 2010 we’ve done Q&As and charity read throughs, but there was never the occasion to reunite the gang on an actual project. Until now..."Nobody mind us — we'll be over here listening to Brie Larson's version of Metric's "Black Sheep".Photo via Getty/ Ian West/ PA Images https://www.papermag.com/scott-pilgrim-netflix-anime-2659694603.html

What things inspire your art? For me, one of my biggest inspirations is old block prints and bold colors. Album covers are also pretty inspirational, as well as horror manga such as the works of Junji Ito and recently "The Summer Hikaru Died." Webcomics inspired my art before then, with works such as "Winter Woods", "Moon Yoo", "Duty after School", and "Live Forever" having a pretty large effect on my work. Movies like House (1977) and shows like Keep your Hands off Eizoken are also super inspirational to me. Even though I typically don't watch thriller/horror content, it still leaves a huge thumbprint on my work! Link to ask game

The thing about terminally online teens(TM) is they pretty much act exactly as you'd expect IRL?
For example, I had a discussion at my little sister's graduation party with one of her friends about anime. I asked if they watched any (modern/current) anime, because my sister does. They said no, not really, there's a lot of weird sexualization of minors in them.
So I said, yeah, that's fair, but there's still some really good stuff that doesn't, like Keep Your Hands off Eizoken. They responded with something along the lines of "it's not worth it basically all anime is super sexualized" (paraphrasing heavily bc this was several months ago now and I don't recall what exactly they said, but I remember them really heavily generalizing it into "All [Modern] Anime Is The Same and Bad (and therefore so is watching it)" in a way that rubbed me the wrong way just a bit)
So I go, like, sure it is a very pervasive issue in the medium I won't deny that but you can't really generalize the entire medium like that. It's not like American media doesn't have the same problem with sexualizing teenagers, just look at stuff like Riverdale or Pretty Little Liars. And the argument that it's a problem exclusive to anime tends to stray a little bit orientialist, because it gets harped on by the "other culture weird" crowd. Especially when a big drive towards a lot of the sexualized stuff even getting as big/pervasive as it is these days is because of an increasing international audience consuming it. (Again, heavily paraphrasing, this is just the gist of whatever I actually said.)
I dont even know how to articulate their reaction because I found it so baffling? Like they rolled over IMMEDIATELY and apologized like they expected me to double down on my "callout" then dropped the conversation entirely. No real acknowledgment of what I said just "I didn't mean to be racist sorry" and I was like??? yeah I know and that's not even what I said I just said that a lot of the people who really ride on that argument take it that direction. It's cool?
They did not willingly speak to me for the remainder of the graduation party.

Week 7
Tumblr media
So I tried making a completely new story because my original idea was just way too ambitious for the amount of time I have and where my skills are currently. Writing my script like this is difficult, it's hard to keep up with the flow of ideas that pop into my head and write them out in this style. I've tried looking up some videos online on how to write a screenplay but they're so long, 10 to 15 minutes, when all I really want to know is how do I format my words when describing the setting, where the camera is, and characters actions; which does not take 15 minutes to explain, just say if it's bold or italicized and where I should align these things. I started getting somewhat of a writer's block, I know the story I want to tell but describing it to others is difficult.
youtube
Finally finished Keep Your Hands Off Eizoken, it was actually pretty useful regarding this project. I went more in-depth in my week 5 post regarding the plot, but I didn't really get a chance to talk about the characters themselves. I really related to Asakusa because often I will have this idea for a video that I really find enjoyable but once I start typing out ideas I start to think, "People will think this is cringe" and then I start to pivot away from what I originally wanted and I slowly start to lose passion for it. That's when the producer, Kanamori, steps in to stop Asakusa from pivoting and procrastinating not because she's a concerned friend but because they are trying to make a substantial business. Mizusaki also has the same struggles as Asakusa because she is very much a perfectionist, she doesn't care that average people won't see the cut corners of their projects because she cares about the anime enthusiasts that will and in return it creates a lot of stresses on her and the team. It is relieving to see that this is something that all artists share on a professional level and it's not an exclusive thing to me. But despite these personal challenges we are still able to make amazing works that can have everlasting impacts on people.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
I went to a Redshift meeting Wednesday night that was about making zines. I've never made a zine before and loosely know what they look like so I thought it would be a good idea to go because I think I'm going to have to make a zine eventually for my Capstone or if not for some project in the future. It's a pretty easy process especially when you have the proper tools so it only took like 5 minutes to make the booklet itself. Afterwards, I didn't really know what to do, I saw people writing in their zines but I wasn't really sure what to do for mine so I just made a comic. This was an eye-opener for me because it showed that I can still tell a story without developing a script first or with super amazing drawings. I'm not a reader and certainly not a writer so why was I trying to create a story the way a writer would. So I'm going to work backwards from how I usually do things which is making the visuals first and then I'll write the script around those visuals.
This is a podcast episode that my capstone professor recommended to the class to help us get over our roadblocks in doing research and experiments for our capstone. I am definitely a perfectionist, usually whenever I do an edit in a video that I'm really proud of I will watch that one edit hundreds of times as I'm working on the video just to make sure it has absolutely zero mistakes which you can tell causes a lot of delay. I definitely feel that perfectionism is getting in the way of me trying to learn digital art or animation, it is a mixture of making sure I find the perfect program and trying to use my time more efficiently, which is ironic cause I never make time in my schedule to try and learn Krita. My OCD definitely plays a part in this but not everybody in my class is diagnosed with OCD so there is something more at play here which up until this podcast I couldn't quite put my finger on it. It's that feeling of failure that I'm desperately trying to avoid, there are two instances in my life that really stick out to me when it comes to trying to make creative projects. There was one video that I made with my friends called "Why I Haven't Uploaded in a While", I was really excited because up until that point I was only making videos by myself and it was going to be a parting gift for my friend Brett who was going to the military in a couple of weeks. However, I soon realized that explaining the ideas in my head to a group of people is a lot harder than expected and as they got frustrated I got even more frustrated, not to mention I wasn't prepared for the battery in my camera to run out or the SD card to get full. I was just such an asshole, it was supposed to be a fun thing me and my friends would do before we all went our separate ways after we graduate but the video never came out the way I wanted it to and it's just a bad memory for me even though I'm still friends with these guys to this day. Another video I made, called "I'm Innocent", took me several months to make and it's where I really pushed myself in terms of editing and why my skills are so good today. I still consider this video to be my magnum opus even though the subject matter and jokes would probably get me in trouble today but I'm still really proud of what I was able to make. But when I sat down to watch it with my friends they didn't laugh at a lot of the jokes that I thought they would find hilarious and it didn't get a lot of views on YouTube. For a while after that, I was just so discouraged from making another project because of that feeling of failure constantly lingering in me, just waiting to rise up again. It wasn't until I had a video project for my "Moving Image: On Screen" class that my passion for video-making resurfaced. The fact that I treated it more as a project that had to get done before a deadline rather than a masterpiece that would define me for the rest of my life really helped me get things in motion. There were a lot of rewrites and a lot of last-minute touches but I got several compliments despite it not being as perfect as I wanted it to be. So the point of this very long tangent is that you can't always focus on the optimal route and that doing something is better than doing nothing.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Finally, I have a story! It took me a while but I finally got something out of my head and onto paper. Here's the premise, everybody's brain likes to constantly remind them of the embarrassing things they did years ago but I feel that I tend to think about them way more than other people do and I certainly react a lot more violently. I will swear at the top of my lungs, I will smash my fist on my desk as hard as I can, I will punch my own head, and sometimes I just want to shoot myself. In this storyboard, we have a character who is trying to go to sleep but the brain cells in his brain find a huge bag of VHS tapes with all his embarrassing memories and they start watching them. As the brain cells watch these tapes the main character gets more and more uncomfortable and agitated. The brain cells find these tapes hilarious and continue to watch and rewind them at the expense of the main character's sanity. Eventually, the main character has enough and heads toward his closet, meanwhile, the brain cells run out of VHS tapes from the initial bag but don't worry they drag in another huge bag. When the closet door is opened we see a shotgun and some shells; the main character grabs the shotgun, starts loading it, and puts it in his mouth ready to pull the trigger. Meanwhile, the brain cells are loading up another tape as they sit back with their popcorn in hand readily anticipating what's about to play. However, they are shocked to see that it is a happy memory and as soon as that happy memory plays the main character takes the shotgun out of his mouth with confusion, as if he just snapped out of a trance. The Brain Cells realize that this bag is filled with only happy memories which to them is boring and walk away from the TV out of lack of interest. The main character finally has peace in his mind and as he stares at the clock he smashed earlier he sees that despite its cracks and discrepancies it still functions and with that, he happily goes to sleep.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Writing a script for this became 1000 times easier with the rough storyboard by my side. I also found the Rick and Morty scripts from season 1 which gave me a reference as to how things are formatted in a screenplay for an animation. Every time I had a hard time trying to describe a scene I would just look at the storyboards and describe what I see there. This method allowed me to focus more on the dialogue for this animation since I purposefully left it out of the storyboard for that reason. I want to see if people can tell what the story is about just from my rough drawings and because I'm not 100% certain if I am going to use embarrassing moments from my life or use embarrassing moments that people can relate to but if I ever do decide to change it it will be easier to edit this way.
REFLECTION:
There was a lot of progress this week, I feel that this breakthrough of working backwards has lifted a lot of tension off my shoulders and I also feel like I'm halfway through this project. Obviously, I need to get some second opinions before I put things into motion but at the very least I have something I can use to practice character animation or start recording myself so that I can see if my scenes work.

2, 8, and 12 from the female character ask :D
Thank you, Snow!!! <3
Female character asks
2. One of your favorites from when you were a child?
Cliche answer and also probably brow raising considering I was 10 when I read the books but Katniss Everdeen
Tumblr media
Honestly, memes and pop culture do her character so dirty, but! She is one of my favorite book protagonists of all time. Her character arc and growth are so good. She was the most complex female character I had ever seen when I first read the books lol
8. A minor female character you love anyway?
A recent side character is Joan Lambert
Tumblr media
God, even knowing Ripley was going to be the final girl, I was routing for Lambert and Parker to survive with her. Lambert was honestly iconic and kudos to her and Ripley being mentioned by Allison Bechdel for being the reason that her friend made the joke that later became the Bechdel Test. Also, with the symbolism and themes in that movie, I could write an entire essay alone about what her character represents in the greater narrative of gender and sex based violence that the movie tackles because God the layers!!! Also, little fact but, Lambert is one of the first trans woman characters in a blockbuster film. Genuinely, I would have loved more of her character.
12. An interesting female friendship?
This one!!!! It's going to go to the Eizoken from Keep Your Hands Off Eizouken!!!
Tumblr media
These three (L to R Sayaka Kanamori, Midori Asakusa, Tsubame Mizusaki) literally are on my list for best depictions of teen girls. Each of them work off each other so well and I miss them so much 😭 This anime was my comfort show every Sunday back during covid. I highly recommend it. Each of the girls are unique with their own distinct strengths and personalities with none of the weird male gaze that permeates most other animes. The three of them formed their schools' animation club, and the whole anime is about their process in making their first short film together. It's a chaotic ride and honestly just mentioning it makes me want to watch the show over again for the 4th time lol

Keep Your Hands Off Nico-chan
NicoMaki, Love Live X Keep Your Hands Off Eizoken!, 1.5K, 1/1
Summary: Maki brings Nico to a summer party. Nico draws some attention.
Keep Your Hands Off Nico-chan
“Maki-chan, Maki-chan, c’mon, HURRY!” Yazawa Nico pulled her girlfriend into the huge backyard of the house they’d just been dropped off at. Nishikino Maki could feel Nico’s excitement through the connection of their hands. Nico was practically bouncing, which there would be a lot more of, since the backyard of the Mizusaki family, all famous for acting and modelling successes, had been transformed into a trampoline adventure park. Nico was already tearing off her kicks.
“This is so cool.” Nico easily pulled herself up on one of the central trampolines, “C’mon, Maki-chan! You have to try this.” With a happy laugh, Nico launched herself into the air, twintails flying up.
All her ingrained hospitality training urged Maki to greet the hosts first so with a wave to a disappointed Nico, Maki went in search of any member of the Mizusaki family to hand over the gift her parents had sent. The daughter, Mizusaki Tsubame, was hunched up over a sketch pad, precariously balanced on the end of a lounge chair, hat pulled down. Maki recognized concentration mode so continued past, but a hand reached out to grab her t-shirt.
“Nishikino-san.” Mizusaki muttered without looking up from her sketching.
“Mizusaki-san, thank you for inviting us. My parents sent this…” Maki hesitated, Mizusaki was obviously not going to reach out and receive the host gift. Maki decided to drop it next to the lounger.
“Can you get that girl you came with to get closer?” Mizusaki glanced up at the trampolines.
“Huh?”
“That girl you came with, can you get her to come closer. Do you see her facial expressions?” Mizusaki unpretzeled her legs, sitting forward, turning a new page.
Maki was surprised by another person, scrabbling out from under the trampolines, camouflage hat askew, her combat ready backpack not really something Maki expected to see at a summer party.
“Did you spot her too, Mizusaki? Definite talent. If we use the trampolines as a launch pad, checkerboard flooring but multicolored, maybe pastels, she looks good in that pink, maybe get something going with super hero poses?” Backpack girl's ideas rushed out.
“Oh, that’s a good idea.” Mizusaki made a few quick notes.
A tall, slumping woman appeared suddenly next to Maki, “Nishikino-san, like the Nishikino medical group?”
“Um, yes.”
“How did you hear that Kanamori? You were all the way over there.” The under trampoline gremlin threw out her arm.
Kanamori shoved down from the hat, collapsing backpack girl like a telescope, “Investment opportunities shout, Asakusa. Now get back to work.” Maki was suddenly subject to a snaggle tooth, slightly feral smile, “While I talk to Nishikino-san about the synergy of serendipity.”
“What’s her name?” Mizusaki tugged on Maki’s shirt again.
“Who, Nico-chan?”
“NICO!” Mizusaki stood up and waved, making sure she caught Nico’s attention, then she knelt next to an Asakuza who was debating which direction to scramble off in, “She goes through like 100 facial expressions a minute. If I could capture that…”
Asakuza tilted her head, “Really clean motion too. Maybe give her ears, like a bunny.”
“I like that.” Some more notes.
Kanamori had crept closer, sliding her phone back into her pocket, “So has this idol group of yours ever considered an animated music video? We could easily turn that around…”
Backpack girl had flopped on her back, “Don’t wanna. No singing. Superheroes.”
“Singing superheroes? Ultra Idols with combat dance moves…” Mizusaki offered, more quick sketches.
“Hey, Maki.” Nico had sprinted over, sweaty and excited, “Who are your new friends?”
Maki sighed, “Actually, I’ve known Mizusaki-san for years…”
“Mizusaki, Mizusaki Tsubame?” Nico pushed past Maki, hand out, “Yazawa Nico. Big fan. Your latest candy campaign was literally the sweetest.” Nico winked, “Got any pointers for Nico.”
Mizusaki relaxed, eyes sweeping Nico's face. “I’ll swap pointers for posing.”
Nico frowned, “Nico doesn’t understand.”
“Do you always call yourself Nico.”
“Yes.” Maki and Nico collided, verbally, in totally different moods.
Another note for the sketchbook.
“Posing? Like Nico Nico Ni.” And Nico went in to full incandescent charm mode, bouncing into her signature gesture.
A pause, while everyone not Maki blinked.
“We could animate that, cheap.” Kanamori now loomed over Nico.
“Nico doesn’t do cheap.”
“Superhero.” Backpack girl was up, knees bent, one hand raised, fist clenched.
“Super Nico.” Nico considered. “So you draw Nico.” She turned to Mizusaki.
“We use you as a figure model. Your facial expressions are amazing. I could draw you all day.” Mizusaki flipped through her pages, showing Nico.
“Did you see this, Maki?”
Maki shook her head.
“Nico is an inspiration.” Nico nudged Maki with her hip; Maki rolled her eyes.
Backpack girl decided to go to the left, “If we take the left turret there and raise the height and attach the chessboard and add a control panel the length of the house, and some kind of rotating signal, surround the house with a moat, pour in dolphins mutated with sting rays…”
Kanamori lifted Asakuza off the ground by the straps, “Let’s talk over here.”
“Okay.”
Nico remained focused on her new bff. “So what do you want Nico to do?"
Mizusaki pointed to the trampoline, “Climb up there and give me your best flying poses.”
“And then we take a selfie for TWIG. And you follow Nico back and share Nico’s cute summer outfit and how Nico inspired you with your fans.”
Maki nodded, Nico the negotiator. That was her girlfriend. Never too starstruck.
“Deal.” After the handshake, Mizusaki settled into a comfortable position, sharpening a pencil.
Nico pulled herself up on the trampoline, bouncing gently as she considered poses. “Ready.”
“Ready.”
“Nico Nico” and Nico bent her legs and pushed off, bringing both hands together above her head. “Ni.” And Nico flew and bounced and somersaulted and Maki watched Mizusai paying too much attention to Nico. So she started to pace, wanting to go get a drink or dessert that might lure Nico back to earth but unwilling to leave Nico alone with the enraptured Mizusaki.
Nico pulled up her knees, in the air, hugging them, then exploded, arms out, super super idol smile and Maki just wanted to pull her off the trampoline, around the corner of the house, and into a personal, private hug. Mizusaki only seemed to be gaining energy, ignoring the heat. Maki glanced at her phone, surely 30 minutes was enough Nico time for anybody but family or her. She strode to the edge of the trampoline, hand out.
“Let’s get a drink, Nico-chan.”
Nico could see the tension in Maki’s jaw and shoulders. She was learning Maki's limits. Maki had brought her to this party and so far gotten zero Nico attention. That would tank anyone's mood. As much fun as Nico was having, it’d be even better if she could coax Maki into laughing or smiling.
“Hold out your arms, Maki-chan.”
“Huh????”
“Hold out your arms.” Nico opened hers; Maki imitated the move.
Another bounce, but as Maki followed Nico’s trajectory, she realized the fast, tricky pink ball of cute was heading right for her.
“Catch me, Maki-chan.”
“Please don’t die,” Maki thought, frantically bracing for too much momentum.
###
N; Does Maki-chan still hurt?
M: No, I’m fine.
N: Then why’d you miss dance rehearsal today.
Maki was lying on her stomach in bed, ice sitting on top of her.
M: ( ̄ー ̄;
N: Nico could kiss it and make it better.
M: §;゚ロ゚§
M: It’s Nico’s fault.
N: Nico was going for romance. Maki needs to do some pushups ᕦ(ò_óˇ)ᕤ
M: ᕦ⊙ ෴ ⊙ᕤ
N: ❤❤❤
Maki got a message from an unknown number.
Hi Maki, Nico gave me your number. Thanks for introducing me to Nico.
The next text from Mizusaki was a full color watercolor sketch, Maki stepping backwards, Nico in her arms, Nico’s arms wrapped around Maki’s neck, Nico kissing Maki’s cheek, which is the exact moment Maki lost her balance. Mizusaki had even managed to catch the start of panic in her eyes. And the glow of excitement in Nico’s.
Mizusaki: I’ve messengered the original over as a thank you.
Maki zoomed in on the sketch, noting every detail of Nico’s expression. She'd reply to Mizusaki tomorrow.
M: You’re the cutest.
N: Are you on painkillers?
M: Ice for my [redacted]; this for my heart.
She forwarded the message.
N: We look cute. We made new friends. Nico is good for you.
Maki laughed, almost rolling over, then wincing with pain at the movement. And yet still she typed.
M: ┌( `ー´)┘
N: Nico is faster.
M: ヽ(⌐■_■)ノ♪♬
N: Nico is dancier.
N: But Maki might be cuter. Nico can’t be sure. Send a selfie.
M: Tyrant.
N: (✿ ♥‿♥)
M: I’m tired (--; walk me to school, tomorrow, Nico-chan.
N: ( •̀ᄇ• ́)ﻭ✧
N: I’ll be there. Get some sleep.
N: d=(´▽`)=b
M: Too soon *groans with remembered pain*
N: (๑˃́ꇴ˂̀)
N: ღゝ◡╹ )ノ♡
M: Good night, Nico-chan.
Maki shifted, smiling. Tomorrow, she’d see Nico. No one pushing between them. Just time for the two of them. That was always something to look forward to.
A/N: One of the IF Heaven challenges is a crossover fic. Keep Your Hands off Eizoken! is amazing and full of joy so I thought it would go well with Love Live, also amazing and full of joy. The first time I watched Eizoken, I realized Maki and Tsubame were likely to get along. As long, as Mizusaki-san isn't too inspired by Nico ; )
