i’ve literally never known anything about star trek ever but. star trek au of tww for the asks?

ahh yay thank you!! okay these are gonna be less in depth but there will probably be a lot!

half betazoid donna is everything to me! she has empathic abilities! i've gone back and forth on what her job would be on a ship/station, but i think i'm gonna go with counselor! (am i just making her deanna? a little but also no i promise)

i also can't decide if they're all like on starfleet's flagship to give them like prominence and drama, or on a station to really get more of a chance to dive into politics a la ds9 (there's also the possibility of having them be like. the federation government, or heading starfleet or something of course, but i kinda like making it different) i think i’m gonna go with flagship tho

toby is like. maybe half vulcan no i will not elaborate. he's a science officer and he just wants to do his space research and experiments in peace. (i know he could be comms. but i am choosing to make him science instead.) sam is also a science officer and very excited about being in space and exploring and the whole where no man has gone before thing. he gets poetic about it on late shifts, and everyone kind of rolls their eyes, but toby does it, too, so. 

oh jed is captain, leo is first officer, and abbey is cmo. yes they are kirk, spock, and bones now. 

josh probably should be ops (and sam should actually probably be navigation) but for some reason my brain is insisting he’s engineering. 

idk why i wanna make cj an unjoined trill (i do know why......) but anyways she’s like. comms/diplomacy, i guess? like somewhere between tos uhura and tng deanna on the bridge, but like, they actually let her do stuff :)

cj, toby, and donna all bond over being non-humans on a largely human ship

charlie is helms/pilot! 

kate is security (fitz and nancy are both admirals)

yk what. debbie and/or margaret are ops or navigation. margaret is vulcan, maybe?

jed gets promoted to an admiral or something, and most of the crew ends up leaving with him, but josh gets promoted to first officer for the new captain matt santos

and you know what? at the end, cj also gets her own command for some kind of diplomatic mission

ik it's bc tv producers couldn't bear to see a woman otherwise but i'm reading into how put together kehleyr looks when she shows up with alexander. she may be a single mother with a stressful job but diplomacy is all about appearances, and she's not gonna be caught appearing anything less than flawless. she Will have her hair done and gently confiscate her products from alexander when he tries to paint with them and she Will coordinate her outfits while juggling five padds of sensitive information and classified state secrets and she Will smile confidently when walking onto the same ship as her ex whose child she may or may not have had without telling him. looking confident is the first step to being confident and two major galactic powers, a baby and a man about to find out he's a father are all expecting her to be confident!

OTP: Troi/Riker? I support them both as a couple AND as close platonic friends though, hence the question mark.

Favorite canon pairing: see above.

Worst pairing ever: Troi/Worf. I don't like Worf, that's probably why. Also if not Riker, I wanted to be Deanna's partner!

Guilty pleasure pairing: Kyle Riker and Kate Pulaski. If only for the look on Will's face. Also Lwaxana/Picard - I adore Lwaxana, and her coming after Jean-Luc never failed to crack me up. Cringy (and hella non-con at times), but so very funny.

Pairing you want to see more: Beverly/Deanna. I was too young, when I got into TNG, to realize femslashing was a thing. I probably would have slashed the hell out of Any Female Character/Deanna, were I to discover TNG today. Back then I just wanted her to be my girlfriend. I know I loved the idea of her and Kehleyr (sp?) when I read about it years later; much more so than I ever loved Deanna/Worf. Also Deanna/Tasha tbh.

"lol no" pairing: anyone/Wesley. Like, ship who you ship, I don't have an issue with that, but I didn't and don't ship Wesley with anyone. Except that one ensign who was his own age (just remembered about her!) I guess I m not a fan of May-December romances. I don't have a problem with age gap relationships - they're just not my jam.

Favorite non-romantic pair: Data and Geordi, to me, are close platonic friends, not a romantic couple. Again, though: ship who you ship! If you're all about them, more power to you!
