Holli’ Conway and Ayla Ciccone-Burton had their put-ins and debuts for Cleves and Parr recently! You can find my posts about Holli’ Aragon/Ayla Boleyn here and Holli’ Howard/Ayla Cleves here.
Tumblr media
Holli’ seems to be in Brittney Mack’s 2020 Cleves jacket and shorts. She did not wear a reveal leotard; instead it looks like some of the other non-reveal, which just have a normal leotard style with sleeves added on to make the illusion of the reveal.
She’s once again in her alt boots in the double strap Aragon/Howard style. It’s hard to see many of the details of her wig, but she has braids on the sides swooped up into the updo. There’s some light highlights but no red.
Tumblr media
Ayla’s is a little unclear. Just like her Boleyn costume, it doesn’t match up with any costumes we’ve seen. At first I thought it might have been made for her since it had been a bit since Boleyn Tour costumes were finished, but she did post about still being in Parr fittings a few days later. So…unclear. It could be a 2020 costume that never got worn, an old costume for an actor that just never got to debut, or it could be new but not fully finished at the time of her put in.
Her boots are the same ones she’s been wearing. They have a single Cleves style strap, but the boots themselves are not Broadway La Ducas. She has a full wig with the curls pushed over to the side. She has tried a few different Parr eyeshadow styles that we’ve seen, so there’s the clear photos I could get of two of them.

View gallery Image Credit: Kelly Taub/BFA/Shutterstock Hailey Bieber, 26, and Kendall Jenner, 27, enjoyed a fun night out on Saturday. The models, who are also good friends, were photographed going in and out of Giorgio Baldi restaurant in Santa Monica, CA, and looked amazing in black dresses. They also both had updos in their hair, with Kendall’s including two loose strands framing the sides…

MENSWEAR SS18 PARIS: HERON PRESTON + Bella Hadid
MENSWEAR SS18 PARIS: HERON PRESTON + Bella Hadid
While the heatwave seems to be getting us globally,  some hot fashion for men is also on the horizon.  A closer look at emerging designer HERON PRESTON’s second collection shown on the Paris MW ss18 runway, we got a glimpse behind the scenes.  Sporting the tangerine striped street-meets-fashion forward appeal, Bella Hadid flaunts some attitude backstage with the designer. Here’s a glimpse…

Catherine of Aragon:

^ Adrianna Hicks on Broadway, By Joan Marcus/Kelly Taub
(I love how the peplum looks like a tasset from men’s armor of the period, especially since there’s a story she went to battle in armor while pregnant!)
Anne Boleyn:
Tumblr media
^ Millie O’Connell, who originated the Boleyn role on the West End, Unknown photographer
(Do note the “B” pendant on the multi-strand pearl necklace from the supposed portrait of Anne. Also the green to reference the fact that Henry may have written “Greensleeves” for her [also seen in the green gown Natalie Portman wears in ‘The Other Boleyn Girl’])
Jane Seymour:

^ Abby Muller on Broadway, by Joan Marcus/Kelly Taub
Anne of Cleves:
Tumblr media
^ The original-ish West End costume. There actually was a black version that was phased out a long time ago. Alexia McIntosh in the West End, Unknown Photographer
(The collar doesn’t look much like the one in the Anne of Cleves portrait, but it DOES look like dresses in Lucas Cranach paintings of German fashions of the period! I never stop raving about German Renaissance fashions)
Katherine Howard:
Tumblr media
^ Joan Marcus/Kelly Taub
Catherine Parr:
Tumblr media
^ Joan Marcus/Kelly Taub
(love how she “wears the pants”: Catherine Parr did some rather masculine things for the time, like writing a book [first woman in England to publish a book in English under her own name] and arguing theology with Henry. I love that the show pays tribute to her feminism.)

For swing day the broadway alts posted some photos including our first look at Cassie Silva in costume.
What is really interesting is the costume Cassie is wearing. It seems to be a 2020 corset. In particular it seems to be a match the one featured in an article about the costumes released right before lockdown (for the original opening night). This costume is likely to be Courtney Mack's 2020 costume which was in progress at the time. The cutouts and studs match and the color seems to be the lighter 2020 one.
The corset is paired with a 2021 skirt (belonging to either Sam, Mallory or Courtney) and a new leotard likely made fore her. This leotard uses a different stripped mesh to the one commonly used.
While it is safe to assume Howard is one of Cassies covers, this doesn't mean that's her final costume or that she is ready to debut. The costume could have been pieced together from available elements only for the photo.

yall these are all different costumes, so that means they are either alt costumes or unused costumes!!!!!!
Tumblr media
we know that they tested many structures until they got the perfect one so it’s a possibility that these are the unused costumes, or the finished (now finished) alternate costumes!
