feels really awful not drawing my red energon necklace on me anymore. it also feels awful when I do draw it though, like i used to feel rly happy bc it's a reminder of how loved TF made me feel but now it's just a reminder that i've lost it and i'm! always! scared i'll never get that back! i keep trying to imagine starlight would want me to wear it but its so fucking hard to imagine him being kind towards me when i have months of trauma and abuse that have convinced me the exact opposite. that's why im making so much fanart instead of self ship. thats why i still only doodled one (1) ship art w/ ken and i'm facing away from the camera bc i cannot stand to draw myself with or without the necklace. i hate thinking about it i hate lingering over that empty area. i hate missing him. i fucking hate missing him. im not supposed to miss any of those characters like this. this was never supposed to happen to me. i didn't deserve ANY of that shit my abuser put me through. i just want everything taken away from me to finally be mine again

louise glück was an tremendous poet in her own life and also taught, advised, and nurtured uncountable other poets. her picking richard siken’s crush for the yale younger poets prize is a well known fact, but she selected a number of other poets for publication during her tenure as the contest judge that i think are worth knowing.
peter streckfus, cuckoo (2003)
richard siken, crush (2004)
jay hopler, green squall (2005)
jessica fisher, frail-craft (2006)
fady joudah, the earth in the attic (2007)
arda collins, it is daylight (2008)
ken chen, juvenilia (2009)
katherine larson, radial symmetry (2010)
poetry is a community! read her—and also read the poets she wanted to promote.

adding onto older boyfriend soap if i may, how would it be when he decides to actually fuck you with his big dick?
original post. oh boy!!
cw — age gap, p in v, degradation, mean soap but in a soft way if that makes sense.
Tumblr media
you had been so sweet and obedient to your older boyfriend soap, and it was just one random night when he decided to let you have what you wanted. one reason was that your adorable tears had gotten to him, and the other being that his own patience had long worn thin.
johnny had you laying on your back, legs spread open while he stuffed your cunt with three fingers, trying to fit in a fourth. you whimpered at the stretch, brows knitted.
“p-please… just want you cock.”
“ssh, i ken. jus’ wanna stretch ye nicely.” he cooed, pressing soft kisses on the tip of your nose, his voice gruff yet laced with so much tenderness, his previous mocking tone having just vanished into thin air.
well, that’s what you thought was the case.
seeing the way your lips parted in awe and eyes twinkled in delight when he started easing his hard girthy cock inside you boosted up his ego tremendously, and before you knew it, he was back to being all mean.
he made sure to push his cock deep inside you, watching you try to adjust to his ridiculously big size while he fucked you nice and steady, your legs snuggly wrapped around his hips.
“look at ye… lookin’ so dumb and fucked jus’ by this cock. this is what ye wanted, eh? wanna be stuffed full all the time?” he tutted in mock disdain, and all you could do was moan shyly and nod because his words were true!
his cock felt way too better than what you had imagined, hitting all the sweet spots inside you and making your head go all mushy while you sobbed out incoherent babbles, all cockdrunk, eyes rolling back.
“fuck— keep yer eyes on me.” he grunted, his hand giving a light tap on your cheek, making you look at him with teary eyes that were struggling to remain open.
he didn’t even bother pulling out, especially not when you were squeezing around him so eagerly, making him fill you up with his warm cum.

Angels, demons, language, and culture part 4: Literalism and metaphor
Part 1 (angels are never children, and that matters), Part 2 (written language is mostly coded human rather than ethereal/occult in Good Omens), Part 3 (human writings contain useful social rules, which is partly why Aziraphale values them)
It may be time to restate @thundercrackfic's original questions?
How good is Aziraphale’s reading comprehension? How much does he understand subtext and metaphor? Because his behavior this season struck me with the impression that he didn’t really understand the books he collects. He’s clever at puzzle solving, and contains vast knowledge; but he always seems to take things at face value (when he’s not willfully misunderstanding), and refuses to give up black-and-white thinking, which would make it very difficult to analyze texts.
I think there are definite reasons to believe that reading comprehension of human literature (as defined in the question) is difficult for Aziraphale. One of them, as stated in part 1, is that Aziraphale doesn't get the tremendous advantage of childhood and its brain plasticity, which (among other things) is known to help with learning language. I'm not surprised his French is pretty bad. Learning another language from the ground up as an adult can be a cast-iron PITA (yes, experience speaking).
Another is simply that Aziraphale is not human. He's an outsider to humanity. He's fairly empathetic, and he does learn (unlike almost all his fellow angels!), but that leaves him without much of a yardstick to gauge when human literature is being literal and when it's not. There also seems to be a general angelic tendency to believe what they're told? Muriel definitely has it, Michael seems to as well, and even s1!Gabriel can only (and barely) muster skepticism on one occasion that I recall (the photo incident). I can see this making Aziraphale's reading, especially early in his existence on Earth, a good bit harder for him than reading is for, say, me. I'm used to unreliable narrators and figurative language and other sorts of clever fun productive lying. Aziraphale's acquaintance with lying is -- well -- his lies don't usually involve much metaphor? I suppose one could argue that "big sharp cutty thing" is a kenning, but not really in the human way of kennings because he only uses it the once.
Moreover, it appears (based on the s1e3 cold open, mostly) that he bops around the world quite a bit until finally settling in London (with the occasional jaunt elsewhere when he gets peckish). Nothing at his creation other than the auto-polyglottism She bestows on Her angels seems to give him any tools for navigating the bewildering variety of human cultures and customs... and literary metaphor (along with lots of other literary things) is commonly culturally-bound, culturally-specific.
I mean, if you read something (maybe in high school (or analogue) or college) that was written A Long Time Ago and/or Very Far Away, didn't it probably have a ton of what lit-critters call "apparatus" in it? Explanatory introductions, bibliography, and above all footnotes/endnotes/margin notes, many of which explain figures of speech that otherwise wouldn't make sense? Not to mention stuff like (just as an example) which local then-current political morass Dante threw this particular historical person in this particular circle of Hell for. Stuff that if you're not there, not embedded in the culture and the time, you're just plain gonna whiff. Hell, even Shakespeare editions have a ton of apparatus, and Shakespeare's in Early Modern English for pity's sake!
(Which is not to say that something has to be ancient or not-from-here to benefit from some apparatus. What is The Annotated Pratchett File if not apparatus for Discworld?)
So our peripatetic angel reading literature of whatever time he's actually in (which mostly won't have apparatus he can rely on for help) will often find himself not clued-in enough to a given human culture to completely understand its literary figures, metaphors included. And sure, that's going to lead to some misreadings and misunderstandings and overliteral takes! I can't read Dante's Inferno and understand everything in it! It takes Italianists years, if not decades, to do that!
And to make the problem even more difficult, literature feeds on itself, and on other arts as well. (Hi hi hello, comparative literature major, I totally studied various flows of literary and artistic influence in college and wouldn't trade that major for anything ever, it was the best major.) Think about all the time and effort GO meta-ists have spent of late teasing out callbacks and allusions and references in GO s2. That kind of work is also part of what Aziraphale has to do to understand fully what he reads... and it's a lot of work, even for a reader as voracious and possibly sleepless as our angel.
So yeah, in sum, I don't think Aziraphale has a perfect -- or even good -- track record on understanding what he reads. I adore him because he reads anyway! He never gives up on trying to understand! That's absolutely praiseworthy! (Crowley has something of an analogue to this in his love for human inventions. He doesn't understand how anything actually works, for the most part, but he loves it all the same.)
I think there's also an outstanding question about what Aziraphale gains from reading, a sense of social rules (Part 3) aside? Well, it's known that reading (especially fiction, especially fiction about characters who are Not Like The Reader) increases empathy. I don't know if Aziraphale reads specifically for that reason, but I'm absolutely willing to believe that fiction works on him that way, just as it does on us, even if he doesn't fully understand everything he reads. Did you fully understand everything you read as a child? Or even as an adult? I would never claim that of myself. Yet I certainly will claim that I picked up a lot of what I suppose I will call my character -- it runs deeper than personality -- and my general understanding of life (insofar as I have one) from reading.
If I had to answer why Aziraphale reads, though? I'd think back to my own childhood, as a bullied child with somewhat neglectful parents who held outsized expectations of me. Reading for me was peace, was escape, was enjoyment, was something to think about that wasn't my own unhappiness, was -- now and then, honestly not often enough -- seeing myself reflected in a book and feeling less alone. I hope and believe that human literature and music served similar purposes for our poor angel.

wanted to send this to boyfridged but I saw that you were shadow banned 🫡 but it's always so jarring seeing writers try and turn Jason into a "ladies man" or whatever, he's so clearly not interested and non equipped to be in a relationship and the way they handle it each time is so funny because there's clearly 0 effort put into it and it's a shame because when he first came back part of what made his character interesting was that he was almost a subversion of the gritty 90s antivillain without most of the macho hyper masculine aspects in short to me he's like a Ken doll ❤️
essentially! i think winick def did also allow himself to drift into the macho stereotype a bit, but jason's youth and sensitivity was a much more prominent theme at the time. the tears! the focus on his role as a child to a parent rather than any other kind of bond...
the thing for me is that i'm not even against him getting a romantic storyline in general. though that's in far, far future, because as you said yourself, i don't think this is something he is even interested in at all, and most def not at this point. but i don't think that it should be these fleeting romances? others have already expressed the sentiment, perhaps more precisely, but jason is not someone who takes love lightly. if there's anything he takes lightly at all. there's both the expectation of commitment and his own abandonment issues that would affect any relationship tremendously. but dc doesn't even afford the exploration of it in his friendships. we just get characters dropped at him (like steph and dana even...) with a couple of lines about how they are best friends and with them already knowing pretty much everything there is about jason... but as readers we know that this is the kind of vulnerability that he's been chasing for very long and was always denied. at times, by himself too. is this not something that deserves more than a stray panel dumping that info on us?
and speaking of stray weird panels, not sure if you've read rh: the hill #2 yet but i just wanted to confirm that the make out session panels did not, in fact, contribute anything to it!

Flying the SR-71 with just one engine in full afterburner was Blackbird aircrews’ most dangerous operation. SR-71 pilots explain why.
The SR-71 Blackbird
The SR-71 spy plane, the most advanced member of the Blackbird family that included the A-12 and YF-12, was designed by a team of Lockheed personnel led by Clarence “Kelly” Johnson, then vice president of Lockheed’s Advanced Development Company Projects, commonly known as the “Skunk Works” and now a part of Lockheed Martin. The Blackbird completed its first flight on Dec. 22, 1964.

CLICK HERE to see The Aviation Geek Club contributor Linda Sheffield’s T-shirt designs! Linda has a personal relationship with the SR-71 because her father Butch Sheffield flew the Blackbird from test flight in 1965 until 1973. Butch’s Granddaughter’s Lisa Burroughs and Susan Miller are graphic designers. They designed most of the merchandise that is for sale on Threadless. A percentage of the profits go to Flight Test Museum at Edwards Air Force Base. This nonprofit charity is personal to the Sheffield family because they are raising money to house SR-71, #955. This was the first Blackbird that Butch Sheffield flew on Oct. 4, 1965.
The SR-71 was designed to cruise at “Mach 3+,” just over three times the speed of sound or more than 2,200 miles per hour and at altitudes up to 85,000 feet.
SR-71 Blackbird flying with just one engine in full afterburner
Taken on Nov. 1, 1981 by US Air Force (USAF) Scene Camera Operator Ken Hackman, the interesting photos in this post feature an SR-71 Blackbird flying with just one engine in full afterburner, using just one rudder.
Why is that?
‘That is what we called a “single-engine go around,”’ says Stormy Boudreaux, SR-71 Blackbird pilot. ‘It was a practiced emergency procedure. It simulated what you had to do if you were making a single engine approach to land and for a variety of reasons something made the runway or the landing impossible so you “went around” on only one engine. The tremendous thrust with one engine in full afterburner and the other in idle was eye-opening! To counter the yaw from that engine required full rudder as well as banking the aircraft into the good engine in order to maintain your flight direction down the runway.
Tumblr media
Flying the SR-71 with just one engine in full afterburner was Blackbird aircrews’ most dangerous operation. SR-71 pilots explain why.
‘Most twin engine aircraft have to do something similar but it’s darn right frightening the first time you try it in the SR-71. That one engine in AB is really pushing the nose around trying to turn the jet away from that engine and the amount of bank angle when at low speed makes you glad you are strapped tightly in the seat. It’s almost a knife edge pass!’
Single engine go around
Boudreaux is echoed by David Peters, another SR-71 pilot.
‘As Stormy said the picture[s] indicate a single engine go around. Thrust was never an issue. What became imperative was the ability to point the airplane. Under most conditions full opposite rudder and a slight bank into the operating engine was enough. By under certain conditions other factors came into play. Minimum control speed being most important.
‘We had a couple of missions out of Mildenhall that went hot to the tankers. That required a heavy takeoff using a 65,000-pound yo-yo fuel load. In the winter time with freezing temperatures in England min control speed was a huge factor. Once the burners lit if you lost an engine on takeoff once the burners were lit your only option was to eject. Why you ask.

Blackbird aircrews’ most dangerous operation
‘Well the runway there is only 8,000 feet. There was so much thrust developed in the cold, heavy air climate that your speed combined with gross weight would not allow you to abort since you couldn’t stop the airplane. There was plenty of thrust available to fly on one engine but there was so much thrust you could not control it below min control speed which in those cases was generally around 260 knots. So, the only thing you could do was pull both engines to idle pop the chute and eject.
‘I always felt that was perhaps our most dangerous operation.’

Kate Cox planned on having her third child only to find out that her pregnancy was non-viable. No chance of a live birth, with tremendous risk to her own life and a near guarantee of infertility if she survives.
After a court approved her for an abortion, the Attorney General of Texas, Ken Paxton (a man facing a litany of criminal charges, none related to his confession that he stole the 2020 state election by scraping +2 million votes) forced the state Supreme Court to throw out the lower courts decision, with no urgency to make their own ruling. This meant Cox would be forced to deliver the stillborn (likely causing her infertility or death) or flee to New Mexico for necessary medical care, and abandon her case against the state of Texas.
After months of constant emergency room visits and agonizing pain, Cox has fled the state for her own survival. The federal government remains indifferent to the dehumanizing oppression of women in the south, and in red states throughout the nation.

Do you know if akechi actually says that matukis reality is a fairytale kingdom or something like that or is that just something people started saying.
Also about your akechi featherman theory in p3d ken says that in featherman red is a heroic colour and blue is a villainous colour which feels like a direct reference to akechis two outfits.
Never to my knowledge. It's a line from Our Light:
甘い甘いおとぎの国 君と会えた歪んだ世界 偽りの幸せでもいいと告げる口 君がそっと塞ぐ amai amai otogi no kuni, kimi to aeta yuganda sekai itsuwari no shiawase de mo ii to tsugeru kuchi, kimi ga sotto fusagu You silenced me when I told you it would be fine: the fake happiness of that sweet, sweet fairyland, of that distorted world where I could meet you.
But that line is in the singer's first-person perspective, the boku ("I") of the song—who we usually read as Joker, but who I increasingly suspect really may be Maruki, with Joker as the second person (goddammit).
One thing's for sure, though: it is absolutely not Akechi. If you read the song as being from Joker's perspective, then it's him saying it to Akechi.
otogi no kuni, BTW, is probably more correctly translated as "fairyland" or, to retain the metaphor, "dreamland"—it's a pair with おとぎ話 otogibanashi, "fairy story; fairytale".
Also, that is a fascinating detail, wow! I wonder if there's a Red Oni, Blue Oni thing going on here, too. Joker and Akechi are both calm and collected in the real world and, uh, not so much rly in the Metaverse—they each contain both the red and blue oni.
In practical terms, for most of the game, Joker is the passionate, defiant red oni, and Akechi is the intellectual, collected blue oni. But note well:
It's worth noting that while blue types appear tremendously calm and composed, sometimes, this is just the surface, and scratching that façade may show that they are, if anything, wound far too tight beneath their calm and unemotional appearance. Villainous Blue Oni tend to be willing to sacrifice anything (and often anyone) for their goals, mostly only when their villainous goals are laden with true purpose....

I honestly think that Gen V is better than the Boys. And not just because alexander calvert gets his dick exploded. Poor guys is getting genitals all out of whack this season. First the baseball bat, which i cant lie i couldnt stop laughing at. And i was just waiting for the moment he yelled jumanji. Why is nobody laughing about eric kripke doing tremendous things to the spn cast. Still i was like “Jack! Not the baby!” And he looks like a KEN!
His entire character just makes me laugh cause hes so horrible! But its alexander calvert so i cant hate him.

Calgary Co-op has agreed to become the majority shareholder in Care Pharmacies, a network of independent retail pharmacies across Canada. Neither company released details about the agreement, like valuations or terms. Headquartered in Vaughan, Ont., and founded in 2013, the pharmacy chain has 56 locations in provinces like P.E.I., Nova Scotia, Ontario, Saskatchewan, Alberta and British Columbia, and the company says it’s the largest group of independent retail pharmacies controlled by licensed pharmacists in the country. There are 25 Care Pharmacies in Ontario and 15 in British Columbia. Alberta’s lone location is in Manning, Alta. Calgary Co-op’s CEO Ken Keelor said the acquisition, which still is subject to closing conditions and regulatory approvals, is a “tremendous fit” with the cooperative’s focus on growing its health and wellness business.

[ digiweek 2022 day 2: sports day/relationship “Tell us a relationship in Digimon” ]
Well now I’ve got six.
Friendship: Taichi and Koushiro. Probably my favorite Taichi relationship AND my favorite Koushiro relationship. There’s nothing more iconic than these two in that film, but honestly the way Taichi values Koushiro’s opinion and Koushiro values Taichi’s leadership throughout Adventure us just... *chef’s kiss* beautiful.
Family: More Koushiro. I always found the story of Koushiro learning about his birth parents to be extremely meaningful-- I think we all feel that way. But the relationship he has with his adoptive parents is just so heartfelt and important to his development as a character.
Romance: Daiken my #1 Digimon OTP. Daisuke never gave up on Ken and Ken let Daisuke into his heart 💖 And of course they can hear each other’s hearts. Falling in love with the first person who meant something to you as a kid....oh gosh. I’ll be a fan of this ship forever. Catch me adding them to every Digimon fic I write.
Romance: Jyoumi is an extremely close second. I adore both of them tremendously and honestly how can you ignore the cute and often hilarious chemistry between them? They compliment each other so well and their moments together in both Adventure and tri. always make me cry.
Rivalry: What’s better than a regular rivalry? A rivalry where one of them takes it seriously and the other thinks the mere concept of their rivalry is hilarious. Giving Takeru a “rival” in the first place is so funny because he really just could not give a damn. He loves messing with Daisuke though, just to keep up appearances.
Partners: What always struck me as powerful is how different Jou and Gomamon are. Their conversation in the finale of Adventure is my absolute favorite thing: “You and I might not have been a good team, Gomamon... but I had a lot of fun being with you.” “So did I.” These two had to work hard at their partnership and it always paid off in the end.

Chapter eleven: Ruinous (Nighteye)
Nighteye turns thirty. The world turns upside down.
All Might undertook to make this a nice night, presiding very amiably over the birthday dinner, joking with their friends and with the waitstaff, retelling his best old stories. He toasted Nighteye as the finest sidekick in Japan, a companion in the struggle, a comfort in adversity, a comrade in victory. Gran Torino gave Mirai a sidelong glance: “Get a load of those hard c’s, kid.” But if the old hero was impervious to All Might’s charms, Nighteye found that he himself was still taken by them. There was something about All Might—this All Might, bluff and jovial, as though all the evils of the world were paper tigers—that made him want to sit closer and warm himself, the way one would nestle under a heated kotatsu table. Even knowing that his easy cheer was a pose, a pretense, he felt it, and he tried to let the comfort of it seep into his blood along with the expensive wine. At their dinner table, the spirit of the holiday season still reigned. Torino and Tsukauchi both got a little drunk and started a cutthroat game of jyan-ken-pon; All Might cheered Tsukauchi on with outsized enthusiasm. Nezu ought to have been inebriated as well, given the amount of wine he was consuming with his imported cheese, though you never could tell with him. He and Centipeder had not met before, but they took to each other immediately, as Nighteye had expected they would. “Don’t human faces look outrageous when they sneeze?” Nezu asked, and Centipeder thrummed with laughter: “It is so humiliating for them, poor things! Thank heaven my physiology makes it impossible.” Before long, Nezu had Juzo talking about his ambition to divest from the cooperative of young heroes where he worked now and start his own agency. “I know it’s a pretty big feat,” his friend joked, “but I hope all my small ones will add up.” Nezu chortled, then squeaked as though he had thought of something tremendously clever, “Perhaps you should join him, Sir Nighteye, now that you’re getting on in years! You can’t be a sidekick forever, you know!” It was a natural enough thing to say, in theory. Sidekick status befitted young heroes, virtually all of whom had ambitions of rising independently through the rankings. Few were over thirty, and fewer of those had any reputation to speak of. Moving beyond the title didn’t necessarily entail a separation from one’s mentor, personally or even professionally. Often enough, people who got along, who had grown to depend on each other—and sometimes more, as everyone knew—would formally announce a shift to an equal partnership. It had happened with Team Kazan, and the Water Hose heroes, and plenty of others besides. But for himself and All Might, such a thing was obviously nonsense. For Japan’s top hero, the Symbol of Peace, unrivaled in combat and adored in the public eye, suddenly to become half of a set, the other of whom had no physical prowess to speak of and no taste for exposure? It didn’t even bear discussion.
