Míriel was too lost in her thoughts to respond to such a question, for her mind was focused on other things, voices she could not see. The murmurs grew louder in her ears as they stood still, the lashes on her skin stinging with every second that passed. She could imagine the eyes of the court upon her, their judging stares trailing over her with scorn and contempt as they stood hand in hand. If only her feet would carry her away to safety, then she would run. If only she had the means to guide herself through the storm, then she would not pray so desperately to sink. Nevertheless, she was powerless, and she could do nothing as her feet sowed roots into the ground, forcing her to listen to the never-ending turmoil that suffocated her.

But soon she heard a familiar voice cut through the smoke that clouded her mind, its tongue whispering a name she knew so well.

“Míriel.”

OR: As Míriel’s support in Numenor dwindles and the height of the King’s Men’s power increases, she is forced to marry Pharazôn to stop the kingdom from crippling any further. But on the night of their wedding festivities, Míriel finds herself dwelling in the comfort of Elendil’s company and soon their rumoured intimacy is clear for all the court to see, including her new husband. I haven't been able to stop thinking about that trailer! I'm so unbelievably hyped for this and Kojima's next espionage game (MGS 3 is one of my all time fave games! ahhhh! ❤️)

I miss the old Higgs' design, it was very strong but maybe this clown will grow on me, who knows lol. I can't believe I actually wanted to draw those equations on his forehead (I used to find it tedious. I took them for granted 😭)

something cool I noticed when drawing this: the makeup below his eyes appear to be inspired by the stripes you see on Nemes - the striped headcloths worn by pharaohs. unrelated to DS but about the song I chose: it's one of my fave Arctic Monkeys songs, I heard it live and I haven't been the same since - it gives me Higgs vibes! one of the interpretations on Genius suggested that "crying lightning" refers to the streaks that form on someone's face when their mascara runs.

The Pete Show.

For my rewatch of The Pete Show (sometimes and more uncommonly known as KinnPorsche The Series La Forte), I will be noting down time stamps in which the main character Pete (from the Pete Show) makes an appearance. I will also, as a little bonus, add appearances of his romantic interest “Vegas”. Today:

Episode 10

You know an episode is going to be good when it starts with Pete pointing a gun at his best friend and the guy who he doesn't know yet is the love of his life. Pete gets into a brief fist fight with Porsche, which is an absolute tragedy because imagine if he'd gotten into a fistfight with Vegas instead!

At 10:40 we get Pete offering to sacrifice himself to spy on the minor family aka Vegas "torture-raincape" Theerapanyakul. What a noble soul. Look at him. This is the face of a man who says "I may get tortured" and tries very hard to not make this expression: :3

At 13:10 we get "delivery man" Pete, who is both decent at infiltration and a great inspiration for various AUs. Personally, I am a great fan of Pete in a cap. But then again, you can't really place any worth on my opinion because Pete could wear tennis socks and crocks and I'd consider it the peak of fashion

At minute 39:00 it begins. The Pete Show proper, the greatest piece of television ever created. I let the screenshot speak for itself.

Look at all the prior Petes. And then look at this one. Yeah. Me too.

I won't put in time marks because Vegas is basically in the entire episode, and he is at his most sluttiest. Once again trying to woo Porsche, this time by suggesting to elope. Then revealing he was actually engaged to Tawan. Then engaging in CBT. The man is booked.
