My Porn Pet Peeves

No kids, this ain’t about a new type of animal you can keep as a pet. Thought I’d write up something in order to express, loud and clear, stuff I don’t like about smut content. Basically, things I prefer to avoid than to see or take part of any of them. So be sure this is going to be a really opinionated one. Consider this a guide to what I will and will NOT draw when I’ll open NSFW commissions in the future. KEEP IN MIND: It’s okay to be into most of those things, I’m just not comfortable to associate myself with any of them.

Don’t like these rules and boundaries I made for myself? There’s plenty of fish in the sea, fellas. Fetish Porn The usual “normal” (very ironic use of that word) fetish content is already something I distance myself from and have a distaste for. Y’know, stuff like vore, feet, bondage, transformation, inflation, diapers, tickling, the list goes on. Not touching those, not even after the sun burns out. Who tf even fantasizes about getting burnt alive by gastric acid, anyway? I know these are the tamest ones, compared to more extreme, messed up shit like scat, snuff/guro etc. (Please Fur Affinity, put a blacklist on your site, I swear to god), but they still count as deviance, thus things that in my opinion, were never meant to be associated with sex. BDSM isn’t really my thing either, tbh.

Feral Porn I already brought it up in a previous journal of mine, still gonna bring it up again anyway. Honestly, pornographic depictions of feral animal characters gross me the fuck out. If I were to draw NSFW of certain inhuman characters, you better believe that they better be bipedal, thus not only mentally, but also physically anthropomorphic. Also, I never truly got the appeal of smut based around The Lion King, or any other pieces of media featuring feral animal characters. That shit's nasty. I would tolerate it more if not for the abundance of not only the feral stuff, but also the following aspects of porn I’m going to talk about next.

Adultery/Cuckoldry Yeah, nah. Can’t get into that stuff, nor do I want to. This whole concept just doesn’t sit right with me at all, not even if it’s justified. Cheating is something that’s heavily frowned upon in society, and, for once, all the right reasons. I don’t like seeing a character being psychologically harmed for the cruel pleasure of their significant other, not even if they’re into it as a form of masochism. It saddens and angers me more than it arouses me. So nope. Don’t want it. Incest, Pedophilia, Necrophilia, Scatophilia & Zoophilia If you genuinely support or draw ideologies based around these, and are fantasizing about them, I don’t want anything to do with you. Bye bye! “Reverse” Rape/Non-Consensual Just call it what it is. Rape. That’s it. Also no to it. Bye! “Hyper” Exaggerated Body Features/Stretching Hyper breasts. Gigantic asses. Michelin Man with a serious eating disorder. MoistCr1TiKaL’s moby huge dildos. Can’t take any of ‘em seriously. Don’t even get me started on the one thing that makes me physically cringe. Stomach Bulges Y’know, that kinda shit happening on the abdomen of a character when getting penetrated by full force? Like they’re Kermit the fucking puppet frog getting fisted? Yeah, that kinda shit. May as well get a fucking alien burst out from there.

Every body type is valid! From reading all this, you’ve probably have come to a conclusion. That I am just some basic bitch who’s into boring vanilla shit. I don’t blame you. I might not make bank off these controversial ideologies, but I’d rather be recognized for the things I truly love and enjoy, even if they might seem a bit tedious. I have a weakness for anything sweet, simple and wholesome. They’re just enough for me. Plus it’ll encourage a much healthier and positive idea of what intimacy is truly about. I think we truly need more of them honestly, and I’d be more than happy to provide the world with them.

Real question: why does everyone in Slipknot have such bad tattoos? Like they're not even the ironic or quirky or nostalgic kinda bad just. Bad bad. And not like it's a money thing cuz Corey kept getting his sleeves/legs done after becoming commercially successful so I just. Don't know. Ideas/opinions?

I HAVE BEEN WAITING MY ENTIRE LIFE FOR THIS MOMENT CUZ I DO IN FACT HAVE BOTH IDEAS AND OPINIONS

BASICALLY IT BOILS DOWN TO: AGE, SETTING (TIME, PLACE, CLASS), AND HABIT

As a unit, they all started getting tattooed in the 90s. So what we see now in 2020 as being “bad tattoos” (tribal! dragons! more tribal!! that real chunky bad new-school shit!! Corey’s sexy girl forearm tattoos & Jim’s knife girl tattoo!!) were actually Very Cool and Very Good when they got them. Not cool by like, our 2020 standards, but cool in 1997. Some people have had the good sense to get stuff covered or reworked (Jim blasting over the majority of his tribal, thank u gawd) or touched up as time’s gone on (I feel like Corey’s “truth / dogma” tattoos have been reworked at some point, they were EVEN WORSE in the first picture of them) but mostly they have not.

Also, when they started getting tattooed, they were a bunch of low-paid miscreants in the heart of the midwest. Yes, Des Moines is a city, but it’s not a Chicago or a LA where there are SO MANY OPTIONS and while tattoo culture was strong back then it wasn’t a boom of boutique shops like we have now. Like I guarantee 90% of Sid’s original tattoos (and then half the ones since tbh) came from a guy at the flea market. I’ve seen this play out time & time again with my fellow low-paid midwestern miscreant friends: they take their idea and their $XXX to a shop they found a coupon for in the back of the local alt-weekly and then go haggle about size, placement, and color on a set budget. Then you end up with this shit that ages like milk and you have to pay to get covered by a more skilled artist later. Most of their early tattoos are a step above scratcher, and that’s fine, cuz y’know, fucking whatever. It was the time & the place & where they were at as people & you can’t knock em for it.

But then y’know. You build relationships with these people and you keep going to the same shitty studio or whatever cuz you’re bored at home on time off, and then you end up with this chaotic disaster.

And then y’know. We’ve all seen candids of them SUNBURNT TO SHIT so like lmao y’all aint taking CARE OF your shitty tattoos for 25+ years and now they look like boiled ass. Great job guys. (Corey’s Bowie & HST portraits are both aging horribly already even though they’re super fresh bc the man does not understand sunscreen and they didn’t have that strong of linework to start with I’m so MAD cuz they were so SICK when they were FRESH. His Joker tattoo is faring better cuz it’s on the inner arm and higher up and thus gets more natural sun protection.)

(It’s also worth noting that V-man & Jay have RAD tattoos and that’s because they are young and tattoo standards/culture has evolved so much in the last 25 years that they hold out for good artists whomst they can then pay with their fat stacks. Bless them both.)

FURTHERMORE. GOOD TATTOOS AREN’T CHEAP, CHEAP TATTOOS AREN’T GOOD. A lot of their tattoos came from fans who happened to be artists or were paid for in merch/memorabilia. Jim traded his silver Iowa mask to his artist for work. Chris’s mask/clouds/tribal logo leg sleeve was done by a fan in a hotel room. People just be offering you tattoos, and most of them....are not exceptional!!!!! but y’know. They’re realistic. They’re democratic. They’re tattoos of the average person. Most people in the world are truly walking around with horrible tattoos, y’know. That’s just......how it is. I respect it.

and then y’know there’s also the poor idea/poor execution. Shawn has a fucking elephant crossed with Pinhead, thank GOD he’s always wearing long sleeves cuz if I had to look at it I would kermit. Corey knows he is a fucking disaster and he has stated this in every interview about his tattoos--he started with a bad one, and then became convinced he could fix it by adding to it. Spoiler: he could not. Now he’s got......all that.

best tattoos in Slipknot award tho goes to Sid (whose are basically all bad and thus look organic even on the ones where there’s been an obvious major leap in quality, thank you for your service Sidney you’re very cohesive) and Corey’s Paul tribute which might be not only the best tattoo he has but probably the best tattoo anyone in the band has which is super fitting cuz Paul is great. if he does not put sunscreen on it, i will go apeshitt.
