genuine questions for witchblr regarding devotees of Cernunnos, but anyone is welcome to answer.

Cernunnos is my patron deity, and I've been working with him for upwards of 8 years now. I've been gifting him things like acorns, food, bowls of water, etc. Is there anything else I should be doing to give favor? He's done so much for me and while he's never asked for anything more, I feel like as such an important figure and as my Patron he deserves more.

Kernunnos 𐂂 Talon Abraxas

Kernunnos is a horned god found in Celtic mythology. He is connected with male animals, particularly the stag in rut, and this has led him to be associated with fertility and vegetation. Depictions of Kernunnos are found in many parts of the British Isles and western Europe. He is often portrayed with a beard and wild, shaggy hair–he is, after all, the lord of the forest.

With his mighty antlers, Kernunnos is a protector of the forest and master of the hunt. He is a god of vegetation and trees in his aspect as the Green Man, and a god of lust and fertility when connected with Pan, the Greek satyr. In some traditions, he is seen as a god of death and dying, and takes the time to comfort the dead by singing to them on their way to the spirit world.

Does anyone else worship Apollo in a syncretic manner? I worship him in his Gaulish forms, but also in a manner syncretic with the Aradian Luciferus, who is also syncretic with Cernunnos. Like, the Aradian Dianus-Luciferus is basically the combined form of Apollo and Kernunnos/Faunus/Whatever Name Ol'Hornie wants to go by with me at the time. Also for me Diana and Artemis, though similar, are different deities. Yes there's Diana-Artemisa, but i honor Diana-Abnoba/Diana-Arduinna as my Huntress.

DFP Actors August: Stuart Devenie

NZ actors tend to end up in a lot of the same shows over the years it seems. I have a lot of fun spotting familiar faces, so I thought this would be a fun and silly little project, seeing which actors have repeatedly been in things that Deano was also in (not necessarily alongside). Just a bit of trivia. Enjoy!

Hercules: The Legendary Journeys (1995-1998/1997-1999)

Dean played a few different characters on this show: Iloran - S1E12 “The Gauntlet” Young Iolaus - S4E3 “Regrets… I’ve Had a Few”, S4E11 “Medea Culpa” and S4E20 “Twilight”. Ruun - S4E7 “Prodigal Sister”

Stuart played three roles as well: Magistrate - S4E8 "...And Fancy Free" Kernunnos - S5E3 "Resurrection" and S5E5 "Render Unto Caesar" Count von Verminhaven - S5E15 "Greece is Burning"

Shortland Street (1996/2018)

Dean played Nurse Harry Martin in 1996. Stuart played Neville Carlson for 8 episodes in 2018.

Young Hercules (1998-1999/1999)

Dean plays Iolaus in 46 of the 50 episodes. Stuart plays Fake Skourous in E44 "Parents' Day" -- Iolaus hires actors to play his parents (because he thinks his parents will be disappointed in him? 😭) so Stuart is his fake dad!

Legend of the Seeker (2009/2010)

Dean plays Carver Dunn in S1E17 “Deception”. Stuart plays Cormac in S2E16 "Desecrated".

The Almighty Johnsons (2011-2013/2013)

Dean plays Anders Johnson throughout the series. Anders is the vessel for the god Bragi. Stuart plays Anders's father Johan 'Joe' Johnson, the vessel for the god Njordr (in 3 episodes, S3E4-S3E6).

El acebo, un árbol sagrado del calendario de los árboles celta, ocupa el mes siguiente al solsticio de verano.

El acebo nos muestra las espinas que el Sol tiene que sufrir en su despedida de la tierra.

Las bayas rojas son las gotitas de sangre que el sacrificio del Dios Kernunnos realiza para que la vida continúe

En primavera el acebo suelta sus flores blancas, mostrándonos la pureza del Dios del Sol que ahora ya avanza hacia el cenit de su andadura, convirtiéndose en el héroe.

Es por eso muy frecuente ver como en las casas decoramos el solsticio de invierno, con ramas de acebo.

La Antigua Religión europea fue el Árbol donde se sujetan los viejos dioses y nuestros antepasados.

El sagrado Árbol fue talado, pero no fue arrancado, del tronco ahora, brotan las ramas vigorosas de la Antigua Religión a la que nuestros antepasados de hace 5000 años llamaron WICCA (brujería tradicional)
