one summer evening me and @how-very-salty made a Steven Universe au in Danganronpa setting. i guess we called it Danganverse? anyway, i finally drew some character sprites, so let me introduce the main cast.

° "Peach" Diamond: she is not realy peach, but her name is too big so they abreviate to peach, she has division related abilities, and is from the 5° diamond authority, being in pink position in it, she is patient and cool, but when she is angry she is like a.... Idk how to describe, she stress her self easily, she likes to cook and likes human culture, she added human characteristics to her form.

° "Peach" Pearl: She doesent have a big dependency in her diamond as cannon pearl, just a bit, she feels that she is not serving the right gem, but at the same time feels that she is, she is cool and likes do do things with Kevin, and is besties with her diamond, MAYBE something more.

° Kevin: "Peach" diamond's son, he and his mother can live togeter for a reason, that i cant say by spoiler reasons, he has related to division abilities like his mom, he is a normal and younger than cannon steven, he likes to run, use skate, bike, rollers, and others, he is a exited, and lovely child, and he loves sweets, but he's mom dont let he eat all the time for healthy reasons (that always bothered me in cannon su)

Getting deeper into the spicy angst, oh boy.

How does our corrupt boi do with his Crystal Gem kin?

"Hi! I'm Lil Quartz! What's your name?"

"...Connie... Connie Maheswaran."

1.) I've mentioned it before before that Steven's already learned how to manage some of his gem powers, like his bubble shield and bubble ability in general since he's used them to play with his aunts.

That being said, he and Connie don't end up stuck in a bubble meaning Bubble Buddies doesn't exactly happen. While he still creates a bubble out of instinct when the quake happens, he has no trouble dispelling it.

Also it should be stated that upon meeting Connie face to face, he's not very awkward around Connie.

I mean, he was raised by a doting fluffy mother that did nothing but shower him in adoration, a one-eyed aunt who constantly reminded him to do what he thought was right, and a six-eyed aunt who told him to not be afraid and to just go for it.

And coupled with the fact they lived without the restrictions or knowledge of being civilized, he was pretty much very confident. Maybe a tad over confident.

That being said, while he many not have full knowledge of purebred humans, he still has no trouble in approaching Connie, with some flowers in hand- after all, from what he's seen, humans like flowers- and introducing himself as Lil Quartz.

As one would expect, Connie's initially put off by his appearance, but given his friendly nature, she's quick to warm up to him, and is even excited to befriend him; he looks as though he walked out of one of those fantasy fictions she sometimes reads. After a brief, lighthearted chat about themselves, with them both technically being newcomers to Beach City and letting Connie touch his horns, they make a promise to meet up again sometime.

Yeah, a bit overly simple, but I see a bit of a contrast; OG Steven looked normal, but he nearly drowned at the bottom of the ocean befriending Connie.

Here, there's a brief bubble snag, but the encounter isn't exactly trauma inducing.

2.) “You know, I’d think dragons would horde things like gold rather than donuts. Do you breath sprinkles, horns?”

*disgruntled gem-boy noises*

while some residents are still a bit weary around the little pink tiefling, his charm earns him a somewhat good reputation in the small town.

...but on the other hand, he's not exactly on friendly terms with the more… annoying of residents.

Lars, he was surprisingly civil with since neither boy wanted to engage much with each other, but where it fell short is with Kevin and Ronaldo.

Probably cliche to put Kevin in the bunch, but I kinda see him taunting him, but only when around his friends.

And… Ronaldo needs no explanation.

And as much as Steven would like to maul the two in retaliation, he can’t lest he wanted his reputation to shatter.

3.) “Steven, your slacking has gotten far out of hand! Just look at this place! It’s a mess! The least you can do is—*steven zones out*”

As far as the Crystal Gem duties go... Well, he's just not very enthusiastic to carry out missions as his OG counterpart was.

No matter how many times Garnet tells him "it's for their own good", he'll never be able to take part in the ritual of poofing and bubbling other gems, and imprisoning them in their lava room. Doing so would be an insult to his foster family.

And because of this, he'd mostly stay in his loft by himself, watching TV, reading those fantasy books Connie lent him, chewing on toys his father had gifted him or stuffing himself with junk food. He'd maybe go on missions, but only if bribed with food and didn't involve gem hunting.

Even then, he wasn't really too excited, since his mother wasn't there to see it all with him. Even upon meeting Lion, he felt a pang of somber nostalgia just at the sight of his mane. Because of that, he hardly had interest in tampering with any artifacts or trapped gems, stars forbid they come across.

Garnet wasn't too bothered by this, seeing that he was still going on missions, and Amethyst was content with his "lazy days" and would often join him. But the Pearl insisted that he needed to get over his Corrupt Gem past eventually in order to be a proper Crystal Gem.

4.) Speaking of Crystal Gems, his relationship as a whole with the team is actually quite strained.

I mean, all's he's ever seen and heard them do was assault other gems and bubble them against their will. And the term Corrupt is harsh and insulting in and of itself. Heck, they even had a gem that wasn't '"corrupt" stuck in a mirror and they didn't seem to give two sand specs about her.

He's at least thankful Garnet's cooperative with him, even using the term Feral Gems to not insult him nor his foster family. He's already quite close with Amethyst, since her laid-back, carefree nature reminded him so much of his dear aunt Tri-T. But the pearl always seemed like she had an entire oak tree jammed up her rump, and had a haughty air about her.

Nevertheless, the whole team still managed to under his skin sometimes.

And by sometimes, I mean often.

If "Warp Tour" is any indication, they never exactly took his feelings into account. They also seemed to focus more on his Gem half rather than his Human half, meaning they didn't always acknowledge that he was a hybrid of the two, only focusing on the gem traits more often then not.

And who could forget the fighting between Amethyst and the Pearl?

While he's learned to block it out, he'd often side with Amethyst, for obvious reasons. What bugged him was how Garnet didn't seem to do anything to stop it. She only seemed to intervene when Steven's hostility picked up.

It was a pain in the flank to deal with this on a somewhat regular basis, but it's not like it could get any worse...

...Right?

...goes about as well as you'd expect.

See everything from season one play out, only its all completely different.

I mean, it's an alternate universe, of course it's gonna be different. So it shouldn't be any surprise when I say that some events are altered entirely or just didn't occur.

But yeah, Stevie's not a very hammy, happy boi in this circumstance, and is in face quite grumpled with this hooey destiny.

But if you think that's bad, hohoh, just wait til we get to parts that revolved around Rose...

As a challenge, try to decipher what episodes didn't happen using everything you just read.

Jamie yawned and leaned against Kevin. They were watching tv on Kevin’s couch, some show that Jamie wasn’t paying any attention to. Kevin wrapped an arm around Jamie’s shoulders as Jamie let himself slump against his boyfriend. His eyelids felt heavy, and his limb felt as though they were made of lead.

“Tired?” Kevin asked, pausing the tv

“Mmph” Jamie mumbled as a reply

Kevin rolled his eyes and pressed a kiss to Jamie’s forehead “get more sleep, babe”.

”I have work to do” Jamie protested 

Kevin snorted and pulled Jamie closer.

“It wouldn’t kill you to take a day off y’know” 

Jamie pressed his face into Kevin’s chest before mumbling a reply. Kevin wrapped both arms around him and laid down, Jamie laying down with him. Jamie yawned and let himself fall asleep as Kevin began to play with his hair.

He was woken up a few hours later by Kevin getting up from under him

“Wuh,” Jamie said, barely awake

“Oh, hey babe” Kevin replied turning to face him

“Hi” Jamie groaned

Jamie rubbed his eyes and sat up. Kevin sat down next to him, kissing him softly 

“How are you feeling?” He asked, concern filling his voice as Jamie slumped back against his chest, not feeling any better.

Jamie replied quietly, his voice muffled by Kevin’s shirt

“You ok?” Kevin asked, concerned

“…Uhm, yeah” Jamie muttered, yawning slightly. 

“Ok…” Kevin replied, giving his boyfriend a worried look before pulling him close.

“You doing okay, Jamie?” Barb asked upon seeing Jamie walk into the mailroom

“Yeah, I’m fine” Jamie replied, yawning as he grabbed the mail. He wasn’t actually fine, he’d been coughing all day, and he felt terrible, but he didn’t want to miss work.

“..okay,” she said before watching Jamie leave with a worried look

Jamie made it to a few houses, coughing slightly before he ran into Kevin.

“Hey baby” Kevin said, kissing Jamie’s forehead

“Hi” Jamie coughed as soon as he replied, causing Kevin to give him another worried glance before wrapping an arm around him.

“Are you sure you’re ok, babe? You look pale” Kevin tried not to sound as anxious as he felt, squeezing Jamie tighter

“Hmm? Oh yeah, I’m fine” Jamie assured him, though the fact that he started shivering didn’t do him any favors “it’s just cold out”

Kevin gave him an uneasy glance before leaning down to kiss Jamie and pulling him into a tight hug.

Jamie giggled, melting into the warmth, before he started coughing again, causing Kevin to let go of him and return to their previous position

“I’m fine” Jamie insisted once he’d stopped coughing, wrapping both arms around himself to try and keep out the cold. He knew Kevin probably didn’t believe him but he tried anyway. Appreciating it when Kevin pulled him back into a hug, kissing the top of his head.

It was barely a few seconds later when Kevin felt Jamie go limp in arms

“Jay?” Kevin said, tensing when he didn’t get a reply. Kevin hesitated before picking Jamie up, kissing him on the foreheads to try and ease his worry. 

“What’s going on?” He heard a voice ask. Kevin turned to see Mayor Nanafua looking at him with a concerned look on her face. She didn’t wait for a reply before walking over and looking at Jamie.

“What did you do?” She demanded, suspicion evident in her voice

“I didn’t do anything!” Kevin tried not to sound upset when he replied, though he didn’t do a very good job “he just fainted”.

Nanafua put her hand on Jamie’s forehead, “he’s burning up”. She looked back to Kevin, worry evident “you should take him home, he is definitely sick” 

“Uh, ok” Kevin wondered why he was listening to her as he replied. Nevertheless, he carried Jamie back to his house, using his spare key to unlock the door.

Kevin layed Jamie down on the couch, resting Jamie’s head in his lap. He tried not to worry, running his fingers through his boyfriend's hair to keep himself busy.

Jamie mumbled something a few minutes later, causing Kevin to look down at him, relieved.

“Jamie? Baby?” Kevin asked, looking intently down at him “you awake?”

Jamie mumbled something incoherent before opening his eyes and looking up in confusion.

“Wha…” he said, sitting up in his confusion “are we in my house?”

“Heh..yeah” Kevin replied, unsure of how proceed “you kinda fainted”

“I did?” Jamie would’ve been more surprised had he not been both tired and sick.

“Yep” Kevin wrapped an arm around him “and I, uh, brought you here” 

Jamie rubbed his eyes before moving closer to his boyfriend, leaning his head on Kevin’s shoulder. He felt simultaneously too hot and too cold, moving closer to try and stop himself from shivering.

“Geez you are burning up” Kevin commented, pressing his hand to Jamie’s forehead. Jamie leaned into the touch, letting Kevin run his hand through his hair 

“I’m gonna go get a thermometer,” Kevin said before sitting up. 

“Nooo…” Jamie whined, trying to pull him back. He missed the warmth and having his boyfriend next to him.

“I’ll only be gone like a minute babe” Kevin told him before going to find a thermometer. He came back a couple minutes later, sitting down next to Jamie, who cuddled back up with him as soon as could.

“Put this under your tongue”, Kevin handed Jamie the thermometer before wrapping his arms around him. They stayed like that until the thermometer beeped.

Kevin hissed as he saw the temperature “you’ve got a fever”

“Great” 

“You should get some sleep, babe, it’ll make you feel better” Kevin wrapped an arm around Jamie’s waist.

“I can’t, I have work to do” Jamie protested, rubbing his eyes. Sleep sounded nice but he'd been putting off work for the past few days.

“You’re crazy if you think I’m letting you work in this condition” Kevin retorted before picking Jamie up.

“Hey!” Exclaimed Jamie, “you’re gonna drop me!”

Kevin rolled his eyes “you’ll be fine babe”

Jamie glared at him before burying his head in Kevin's shoulder and wrapping his arms around his neck, shaking slightly. He was exhausted, head pounding.

“Hey, it’s ok, I’m not gonna drop you” Kevin reassured him, squeezing Jamie a bit tighter in an attempt to comfort him. Jamie leaned into the touch, making him feel a bit better.

Once they made it to the bedroom Kevin put Jamie down on the bed, making sure he was warm enough, before laying down next to him. 

“Go to sleep Jay” he whispered before kissing him and pulling him close, letting Jamie bury his face in his shirt and burying his own face in Jamie’s hair.

“Night” Jamie mumbled, his voice muffled

“Night babe” Kevin mumbled back.

"Hey Kev," said Jamie, turning around from his spot on the window seat, the side of his face illuminated by the glowing computer screen.

"What're you doing up? It's like 1 a.m.," mumbled Kevin, rubbing his eyes and yawning.

"I couldn't sleep; thought I'd get some work done." 

"Come back to bed, babe," Kevin whined. "It's hard to sleep without you."

"I know, but I'm in the middle of this." Jamie turned back to his laptop.

"What's so important anyway?" Asked Kevin, looking over his shoulder at the screen.

"I got a great idea for this play I'm writing," Jamie replied.

“Fine, I’m gonna make myself a coffee; you want one?” He asked, walking towards the kitchen. 

“Sure” 

Soon after, Kevin came back with two cups of coffee, handing one to his boyfriend and taking a sip of the other.

"Thanks,” smiled Jamie, setting down his computer and moving to the side while Kevin sat down next to him. Jamie reached for his laptop, but Kevin was faster, grabbing it and putting it on the floor.

"Hey!" Jamie exclaimed, crawling over and grabbing for it, though Kevin held it out of reach.

"Hmph," Jamie grumbled, sitting down between Kevin's legs and resting against his chest. The pair stayed like that for a while. Kevin closed his eyes and rested his head against Jamie's. Until Jamie eventually got his laptop back and started typing again.

"You know I know your typing, right?" Kevin said quietly, nuzzling into Jamie's hair.

"And you know I'm not going anywhere," said Jamie, leaning up to kiss him. Kevin murmured something before wrapping his arms around his boyfriend and closing his eyes. Jamie yawned and moved closer.

"The coffee must be wearing off," Kevin laughed.

"Yeah," Jamie yawned and closed his computer.

"Alright, come on," Kevin said, standing and pulling Jamie up with him.

"Wuh?" asked Jamie dazedly.

"We're going back to bed, babe," Kevin replied, kissing him on the forehead. 

"Can't walk; 'm too tired." Jamie mumbled, leaning against him.

"Then I guess I'll have to carry you," Kevin said, picking him up bridal style. Jamie, who normally would have protested, just moved closer.

"Please don't drop me," he mumbled.

"I wouldn't dream of it," Kevin replied, carrying him into the bedroom and laying him down on their bed, getting in next to him. Jamie pulled him closer and put the blanket across them.

"Night, Kev," he muttered.

"Night, Jay," Kevin replied, pressing a kiss to his forehead. "Love you."

"Love you too," Jamie mumbled, cuddling closer. The two of them fell asleep like that.
