Alabaster C. Torrington…thoughts?

(Had to skim through his Wikia page for a bit to refresh my memory; it's been years since I last read his story).

He used to be one of my blorbos... my pookie... He intrigued me because he's a son of Hecate and she's one of my favorite Greek deities. think he's super cool and I kinda agree with his stance on the Olympians, and it's great that we could take a look at one of the lives of a member of Kronos' army post-Manhattan through his story. I wish he could meet with Percy and they could compare each other's perspectives. Sadly, his only appearance was in a pretty obscure side-story so not a lot of people paid attention to him, and that's probably the only thing we'd get of him.

Well, the first bullet point is already completed. But look what I started at 1 am before I went "wtf am I doing?" and went back to sleep.

(Ugh, I should've cropped this better before I put this here 😣 ) Anyway, Coronation chapter, yaaaaaay!!! This one is gonna be so fun I am looking forward to see how this will come out. I know you guys missed my beautiful friendship moments with Bowser and Peach, so that'll be there. If you remember my "Finding the Balance" fic you know I kinda touched upon Peach and Toadsworth relationship shifting a bit as they transition from that father/daughter to advisor/ruler dynamic so to speak so a little bit of that in there. I feel like the second point can also relate to all the other toads as well seeing as they all had a hand in raising her and now she's going to be the one over them now. I think I have her age here set around 16-17 ish and it's that struggle of being seen as someone they can trust and taken seriously despite her age vs how they still maybe see her. I'm leaning towards making her give this cringy speech during the process, which is where this screenshot is surely leading. Gotta remember this is where her and Bowser's alliance is officialized. I'm gonna do my best to make it really good for you all 👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾☺️☺️☺️.

When it's done 🤭. I feel like I've written what I've wanted to the best I can, and it's another thing done . It's ready to be shared on the internet, and I love that for me. Also, I'm able to go indulge and treat myself to other fun activities for a while.

67. Do you prefer prompts and challenges, or completely independent ideas?

For now definitely independent ideas and those formed from conversing as you (Spocky) really would know (AO3 comments between me and Spocky 👌🏾). I feel like I would do so good with prompts if I tried them but there's also a little part in my brain that's like....no 🤣. When I think of the prompts I see here and people sending them, I'm like "Ok if I did this, what if it's not what they were expecting it to be 🤔 and they just don't like it" or something along those lines... it might sound crazy but that's just how I think about it and heck It's already a challenge to make my own stories how I want them to be. Oh and if the prompt/challenge is combined with a deadline to submit...ugh that's something else 😳

@piskey ‘neurotic’ just refers to someone with a neurosis, which is basically mental conditions of stress- it can include anxiety, obsessive thoughts, panic disorder, depression, hypochondria (illness anxiety), psychosis, etc. these symptoms can be called ‘neuroses’.

‘neuroticism’ is also used to describe a personality trait and you’ll see it in personality tests. people who score high in neuroticism are usually more anxious than other people

but neurotic is also used in a non-clinical way, sometimes in a derogatory way, to describe mentally ill people or people perceived as overly anxious/paranoid.

so if you have a mental illness like anxiety, OCD, depression, etc or if you’ve actually been described negatively with an adjective like neurotic (similar adjectives: deranged, mentally disturbed, hysteric) then you can reclaim it

DP x DC: The Most Dangerous Card Game

Ok so Danny has essentially claimed earth as his. And he is fully aware that there are constant threats to the planet. Now he can’t stop a threat that originates on earth (that’s something he’ll leave to the Justice league) but he can do something about outside threats. Doing some research on ancient spells, rituals, and artifacts, he cast a world wide barrier on the planet to protect it from hostile threats so they cannot enter. This will prevent another Pariah Dark incident. However, barriers like this come at a price. You see, there are two ways to make a barrier. Either make one powered up by your own energy and power (which would be constantly draining) or set up a barrier with rules. The way magic works is that nothing can be absolutely indestructible. It must have a weakness. The most powerful barriers weren’t the ones reinforced with layer after layer of protective charms and buffed up with power. Those could eventually be destroyed either by being overpowered, wearing them down, or by cutting off the original power source. No, the most powerful barriers were the ones with a deliberate weakness. A barrier indestructible except for one spot. A cage that can only be opened from the outside. Or that can only be passed with a key or by solving a riddle. So Danny chooses this type of barrier and does the necessary ritual and pours in enough power to make it. And he adds his condition for anyone to enter. 

Now the Justice league? Find out about the barrier when Trigon attempts to attack, they were preparing after he threatened what he would do once he got to earth. How he would destroy them. The Justice league tried to take the fight to him first but were utterly destroyed, so they retreated home to tend to their injuries, and fortify earth for one. Last. Stand. Only when Trigon makes his big entrance…he’s stopped.

The Justice league watch in awe as this thin see-through barrier with beautiful green swirls and speckled white lights like stars apears blocking Trigon and his army’s advance. The barrier looks so thin and fragile yet no matter how hard the warlord hits, none of his attacks can get through and neither can he damage said barrier. That’s when Constantine and Zatanna recognizes what this barrier is. Something only a powerful entity could create. For a moment, the league is filled with hope that Trigon can’t get through yet Constantine also explains that it’s not impenetrable. And clearly Trigon knows this too for he calls out a challenge. 

And that’s when, in a flash of light, a tiny glowing teenager appears. He looked absolutly minuscule compared to Trigon and yet practically glowed with power (this isn’t a King Danny AU though).

And that is when the conditions for passing the barrier are revealed. And the Justice realize that the only thing stopping Trigon and his army from decimating earth. The only way he can get through….is by beating this glowing teenager in a card game. 

Not just any card game though. The most convoluted game Sam, Danny, and Tucker invented themselves. It’s like the infinite realms version of magic the gathering, combined with Pokémon, and chess. And Danny is the master. So sit down Trigon and let’s play.

(The most intense card game of the Justice league’s life).

After Danny wins, this happens a few more times with outer word beings and possibly even demons attempting to invade earth, yet none have been able to beat the mysterious teenager in a card game. Constantine might even take a crack at it and try to figure out how to play. He’s really bad though. Every time this happens, the Justice league worry that this might be the time the teenager looses. Yet every time, he wins (even if only barely). 

Meanwhile, Danny, Sam, and Tucker have gotten addicted to the game and play it almost daily. Some teachers might seem them playing the game are are like ‘awww how cute’ not realizing this game is literally saving the world. Jazz is just happy they aren’t spending as much time on their screens playing Doomed.

It doubles as practice for his actual ghost battles too. #They had SO much fun making this. #Sam added an entire series of plant cards that act as traps and healing ointments and duds that just take up the field. #Tucker added legitimate hyroglyphics combined with Latin as well as English and ghost speak. #Yes. You actually have to speak that language to play. With proper pronunciation. (Amity Parker’s think the three are talking gibberish.) #I headcanon Sam and Tucker are fluent in Ghost. #Constantine WILL figure this game out SO HELP HIM! #Some of the cards also have combinations related to constellations either in name or placement on the board. #By the way the board is based on a Hexagonal summoning circle with Rhunes along the edges #And the placement of the cards on the board and on what rhune MATTERS. #Also the cards move disintegrate and have certain abilities. Think of Harry Potter Wizard Chess. #But they are normal when Danny plays at school. This is just for ✨effect✨ Against invaders. #Danny faces multiple opponents. He also halts alien invasions. #While Danny COULD stop crime on earth he’s not sure how to fight a normal human and hold back so he sticks to ghosts. #The Justice league are going crazy trying to figure out who this entity is and after deep research are convinced this is some sort of #Ancient being who has protected earth for millenia. They have paintings on ruins and everything. #Danny is not aware they think this. #Raven starts praying to Danny as if he is a god and wrangles the other Teen Titans into doing so as well. Danny is still unaware of this. #Danny is not a King or an ancient. Just a very VERY strong ghost.

* Ok getting his attention in general is a surprise for ANYONE. Even HIM. Honestly for the first half of him liking you is him in heavy denial, thinking he’s finally lost his mind, and making rubber ducks through his five stages of grief. Until finally yes, he realizes the feelings are real the moment he leaves his office to see you again. Oh crap-

* I mean of course he’s gonna try talking to you! He wants to know more about you! Though his first greeting wasn’t too great. He tries to be suave by leaning against a table, winking and saying “Hey bitch✨” but that made you scatter away with a bow of your head to say hello. Shit. Was it something he said?

* He tries to gather a bit more information after that and realizes that you’re ALWAYS that skittish. Had him worried there, he thought he scared you off- oh. Oh never mind. He also heard you were wary of HIM too. But then he realized why. He’s the king of hell. Shit any sinner would be scared shitless if he personally sought them out! Dammit he didn’t even think of that!

* So at wits end….he actually goes to his daughter Charlie to help him out. Man she was EXCITED to help. She and Vaggie personally helped him in what to say then introduced him to you so it would be a little less scary for you. The king himself was still nervous and messed up a few times but he decided to be honest and admit that he’s genuinely interested in you with a soft smile and a rose in his hand. Thaaat had thorns and it cut your finger- you were wanting to leave but Lucifer stopped you and took your hand. That is when you personally saw a rare side of him: A gentle and caring side as he healed your hand.

* You were….speechless really. I mean you never expected such a soft look upon the king of hell’s face! So once he healed your hand, you shyly wrote on a piece and handed it to him before scattering off. Lucifer was disappointed….until he realized you gave him your number.

* You could hear his cheering from hallways away. Such a goofy lil guy. Maybe this wasn’t such a bad idea….

Mini story time!!!

“Ok. You fucking GOT this. You won them over. You can send them a text. Just be cool….,” He was pacing around his room before finally sitting down to message you.

Oh dammit….! What should he send…? Hi bitch obviously didn’t work to well. Maybe something different? He looked around and spotted something he made earlier. YES! That would be a fun conversation starter! So he took a picture and sent it to you!

You yawn as you go to lay down and notice a message. You gulp and nervously check your messages, “Ok. Calm down….it’s probably nothing bad- ……what the?” He sent you a picture of a…..rubber duck? And it was designed kinda like you! You took a moment to process it. “….that is so fucking adorable-“ So you sent him a heart emoji and said you loved it.

He practically JUMPED to check up on your message before combing through his hair nervously, “They….Like it? THEY LIKE IT! FUCK YEAH!!! OH SHIT-“ He fell back from his chair but happily chuckles as he was too happy to care. Charlie secretly checked in on you two and saw you both smiling.

Shes just glad you two are happy ❤️

I forgot I'd made this!!! I'd gotten to a point where I realized I wanted to understand Hyrule's games better before continuing, so I stopped. Not sure if I'll return to it but I think what's here is pretty cool and worth sharing!

Hadcanon Jercy, - Percy paints his nails electric blue because he adores Jason's eyes.

Oooh I can see how he totally would! Over the years, the specific shade of Jason's eyes would become his most favorite shade of blue. It was akin to the sky when the morning is at its brightest and not a speck of cloud in sight. When he's by himself outside he'd probably look at the sky and immediately think of how much he misses Jason (even though he'd totally see his boyfriend when he gets home). To counteract that, he'd try to bring a piece of that color with him all the time; painting his nails, wearing cute accessories and bringing small knicknacks of the same color home so he could say to Jason that "they remind me of your pretty eyes." Jason would always bashfully smile to that and give him a sweet little kiss 💙
