This is another impromptu sketch I did during the freak-storm last Tuesday (13 FEB). With the background now added, it gives a vibe to the KH3 scene before the Heartless engulf Aqua and she is made to confront them which manifest into her shadowy doubts.

The Keyblade(s) and the Kingdom
Before the Great Keyblade War there was only one true Keyblade. In the games, the name of this Keyblade is the Combined Keyblade, and isn't much beyond being pretty, but for the Redux I've decided to dub it the Unity Blade as well as make it the true form of both the Kingdom Key and the Kingdom Key D. "Unity" coming from what it represented for the people at the time, its appearance- two halves that make a whole- and the way it's (briefly) summoned by the unity between Sora and Riku.
The defining moment in the Great Keyblade War was the moment it split; both the Unity Blade and Kingdom Hearts itself. The Princess of Heart of the time was the one to do it, desperate to stop the fighting, and after all was said and done locked Kingdom Hearts behind a door and literally threw away the keys.
Thus the Unity Blade became the Kingdom Key and the Kingdom Key D, respectively. Although separated, both of these Keyblades possess the same abilities as each other, such as being able to restore Heartless and Nobodies to their completed selves and lock/unlock a world's keyhole. However, only the Unity Blade has the power to open the true door to Kingdom Hearts, bring it back from its hidden realm and awaken it from its sleeping state using the Power of Waking on the Kingdom's Keyhole.
The Kingdom Key, though not sentient in a traditional sense, is able to sense and be wielded by the current Princess of Heart. The Kingdom Key D, conversely, has the power to declare a new Princess of Heart if one didn't currently exist. Both of them are invincible, and no known method exists for being able to break the Keyblade in any of its forms.
The reason Remus wields the Kingdom Key D (Remus being the replacement for Mr. Mouse) is because he was entrusted with it. He knows he doesn't truly control the Keyblade, and the Kingdom Key D knows that someday it will be reunited with its other half.
The reason Riku is able to (however briefly) wield the Kingdom Key in Kingdom Hearts is because the Keyblade sensed a light in Riku that spited the Darkness slowly consuming him. A light that spoke of a desire for Unity.

Kingdoms Hearts au where Ventus remembers he’s form before the Keyblade Wat and since he’s a Dandelion and a Union Leader he’s technically the highest ranking Keyblade Master around and decides to pull rank against Eraqus and Xehanort whenever they’re about to do something stupid as hell that’ll probably destroy the world in the process
All Hail Grandmaster Ventus. He should get a crown
Also why is Yensid exempt from this. #GroundYenSid

KH OC Profile Part 1 : Ursus
It as been long overdue that I share the story of my OCs. While not all of them are quite finished (plot, ending, screenshots...) I owe you at least one. I'll try to complete the others but know that, one way or another, not matter how long I'll take, they all will be there.
ANYWAY !!!! Let's start with...
Tumblr media
"I'm not sure I'll make that much of a difference, but I'll be darned if I didn't try !"
Wilhelm was 12 when he was called to the Station of Awakening and received his Keyblade. Before migrating to Daybreak Town proper, he was a quiet dreamer living with his family in the countryside, wanting to see many new things but always laking the courage to do so.
His first few mounths were a bit lonely : Wilhelm was never someone to make the first step toward others and during missions with other Ursus members, he was polite and focused. His first real friend was a seasonned weilder nammed Lyra :
Tumblr media
The 17 year old girl was the one who helped Wilhelm come out of his shell. While this gal was also mission focused and "by the book", she was also a secret nerd. It's also her that nicknamed Wilhelm "Billy". Their friendship lasted a whole year before Lyra simply vanished. Her Keyblade was never found so Billy keept hope that she was alive somewhere.
Tumblr media
Billy's favorite world to discover was Wonderland ! Because he was always facinated by the intricacies of the world/worlds, visiting a place where logic don't apply was a fascinating experience , even if some locals might be tiring to deal with. Wilhelm might also have a small crush on Alice.
Tumblr media
It was during a contemplative stroll on the beach that Billy met and befriended Summer, Google, Mio, Dennis and Ethel. Having a friend group was a breath of fresh air and allowed Billy to grow more confident and snarky while still maintaining his patient and loyal demeaner. He eventually formed the Multi-Union Squad with Ethel, Théa, Fulgur and Clover. And it's 3 years after becomming a Keyblade Weilder that Player arrived in Daybreak Town and later became his friend.
Tumblr media
When Wilhelm first met Aced, he was intimidated but also awe inspiring. And, funily enough, Wilhelm had an easier time talking to an adult than his fellow teen comrades. That's how Billy became the Ephemer to Aced's Ava. Aced knew that Willhelm was capable of great things and kept encouraging him, in turn, Billy became an attentive ear for when his master needed to vent. That's how Billy became one of the first and few to know about the "traitor". But Billy knew deep inside that something was wrong about this affair. And when THIS happened :
Tumblr media
Wilhelm knew that something was wrong because he knew his master and Aced never acted this violent, nearly killing Player. That man who talked about power, worthyness and war was nothing like his master who wanted the Unions to bend together against darkness and prevent the war from taking place.
Tumblr media
Despite his potential, his fighting style combining calculated strong blows with spells like Graviga, Mines and Magnet, Wilhelm was a pacifist at heart. Like Skuld, Billy did his best to defuse tensions between Unions, being diplomatic and resorting to his Keyblade as an ultimate resort. Maybe naively, Billy wanted to believe that the war could be prevented, so when he was approched to join the Dandilions, he refused.
Tumblr media
During that fated day, Wilhelm ran through the battlefield, defending himself but never harming anyone on purpose, desperatly trying to find a way to stop everything. But he is cornered by Ira and Billy stand his ground as best he can. When Billy thought that Ira was gonna end him, Aced arrived and got Ira to battle him further away, saving Billy, who for a moment recognized the master he once knew.
Tumblr media
Despite his best effort, the War continued and Billy ends up gravely wounded. Player was nearby and tried to help his friend. Regretful yet fulfilled for the life he lived, Wilhelm draws his last breath, his heart joining the Final World.
There you have it : the full story of Wilhelm from Ursus. But for those who wants a peak in my crazy brain...
"Crack" adition : When given the choice to move on, join the Sleeping Realm or reincarnate, Wilhelm decided to reincarnate as this guy :
Tumblr media
Yay, yay, it is very presumptuous but it's just for the sake of a story I'm writing (mostly for myself 'cause I don't feel confident enough to post it online).

Well, gotta start somewhere.
KHTTRPG is the working title for a tabletop roleplaying game based on the Kingdom Hearts series with one mode of play in the Keyblade War, where Keyblade Wielders are an everyday part of life and must do constant battle, and another mode planned in a more traditional Kingdom Hearts setting with separated worlds and an ongoing threat to their existences.
The game has three parts to character creation - species, weapon, and job - and seven stats - heart, body, memory, speed, magic, light, and darkness. A combat system composed of d4s and d20s imitates the original game’s uses of combos and slates in battle, and a special light/darkness system keeps track of character “morality” as a part of the core mechanics.
If this interests you - hi! This blog is where we (read: I) will be posting updates and looks behind the scenes as the game development progresses. Keep an eye out here for updates as it gets closer to a beta version that could be actively playtested!
This is a free project that will never cost any money, and questions are always welcome!

Just had the startling revelation that the Bigger Bad of the Kh universe is evil catboy!Zhongli, which explains me squinting at him repeatedly
Zhongli 🤝 Master of Masters
- ancient beings from a bigone era
- enacted a master plan which took centuries to seal the darkness
- Took in five beings, gave them new names, managed to get them to become living vessels for the ultimate evil so it could be forced into a stalemate
(Well, they both took in more than five - but the five Yaksha's and the five Foretellers in KH were the main ones for both groups)
- really really fucking wanted to retire out of sheer tiredness
Major difference: MoM tricked the Foretellers into becoming vessels and purposely turned them on each other, while Zhongli was up front with the Yakshas, but they still (other than Xiao) succumed to the karmic debt eventually
Aka? MoM is Zhongli with absolutely no chill

Master Gula and Ava’s battle renders KHUX.
When Ava's expression turns into a grimace rather than her usual smile. It is a sign that something is about to happen.

I am not a major top kingdom hearts fan, although I think I know the lore. Why couldn't Sora and the other keyboard wielders bring allies from the other worlds to fight Xehanort? It's not an exclusive keyblade party, as Donald and Goofy were invited, and I understand that most of the Disney characters are not strong enough to fight keyblade wielders, but several are! What about Hercules, Zeus, the other gods, Jack Skellington, or asking Genie to give someone capable yet not powerful, like Mulan, great power so they could help? I can keep going, Merlin, Calypso, William Turner with all the powers Davy Jones had, if Arthur is grown up he could bring Excalibur. With the Shield of Virtue and Sword of Truth Prince Philip beat Maleficent, so he could probably beat a heartless boss. Maybe Elsa, unless she's busy. That's just the characters they've met, what about Maui, supers from The Incredibles, a very long list!

Thematically, I think Star Wars would be a great world for KH4. Not only just because of the whole Light vs Dark themes, but also mirroring Anakin's decent into darkness to what Sora is (possibly) going through. I know a lot of people wanna fight Dark Vader not befriend him, but hear me out.
Kingdom Hearts always liked to have "Disney" worlds connected thematically with a character's development or overarching plot (ex. KH3 Carribean connecting thematically with Sora's sacrifices in the end). People often talk about how they'd like worlds that theme with 'death' (ex. Coco, Soul) or worlds that give Sora therapy (ex. Encanto, Inside Out, etc), but what about a world that brings out his darkness? To emphasize his pain and isolation?
Come KH4, it seems like Sora is beginning his 'Dark Road', with most of the DS Saga only hinting and building the turmoil underneath, just like how Anakin's darkness had been throughout his life in the Prequels.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
My dream scenario would be having the Prequels, specifically the Clone Wars era instead of the OT or Sequel era, just so Sora can physically interact with Anakin and have those parellels with him. Imagine Anakin talking with Sora about how he'd do anything for the people he loves, and Sora realizing he feels exactly the same. And while Sora isn't the typical 'Chosen One' like Anakin is, Sora was pushed into that role by circumstance and feels the stress all the same. Both these characters are pressured to repress their emotions/trauma, which often manifests as rage. Maybe some paralells could be drawn between between Obi-Wan, Padmé, Ahsoka, and Rex with Riku, Kairi, Donald, and Goofy.
Sora would leave the world before RotS happens, so he has no idea what kind of path Anakin was about to follow. He might even be happy that he finds someone who feels the same way as him, completely unaware that he's also spiraling into that same darkness that turned Anakin into Darth Vader.
If you wanna get into this idea even more, let's factor in the 'realm moves at different times', so by the time Riku and friends arrive in Quadratum, It's the OT era and their version of events is helping Obi-Wan or Luke deal with Darth Vader to coincide with Sora's Dark Road.
Honestly, It's more likely that the OT will be the focus if a Star Wars world appeared because its just overall more popular (and like how can you deny the suspiciously placed AT-ST foot on "Endor", which takes place in OT era), but can you imagine the parellels? A Darth Vader boss is scary, but Sora befriending a "Pre-Darth Vader" because they are on the same Dark Road feels a bit scarier, right?
I may also be putting all my chips on Sora becoming a boss down the line for Riku, Kairi, and/or Yozora to fight please

I have something to say
Isa is unironically the funniest character in KH3.
This bitch just casually shows up on the clock tower in Twilight Town (right before the Keyblade War, mind you), takes one of Axel's ice creams, mocks him, then leaves. The fucking audacity™️
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
And then this bitch still mocks him after he loses the fight AND has the nerve to be witty before he disappears
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
His pettiness knows no bounds.
