Okay so I'm finally posting about my Keykid.

His name is Vash (from one of my middle names). He's 18 years old, a member of the Vulpes Union and wields the fully upgraded Starlight.

He's NOT the player, but rather a part of their group. He Ephemer before he met everyone else, being closest with Ephemer, Player, and Brain. He values his friends above all else and would do anything to ensure their safety.

He doesn't fear the darkness. In fact, he's of the mind that if you can control your darkness before it controls you, you'll be better for it.

I'll make a lore post eventually about what happened between the Keyblade War and the end of Union χ/the start of Missing-Link.

so, I was late but I got something out!

extra explanation is I decided to use @thetwilightroadtonightfall, aka Roadie, version of player since I am used to that version of them in a way and I think it's neat

little explanation would Valentine's festival is back and also the tradition of receiving chocolates from your friends like in game back then.

The keykids have the day free in my imagination at least

this was fun to come up with even is a bit messy but wanted something out since I did promise that from that poll I did

Okay, finally feeling better so it's OC Week time!

Prompt 1: Introduction.

From left to right: Zorya, Yoru and then Taiyo. These three are some of many characters in my Kingdom Hearts fic (I'll post it all on Ao3 one day I promise), but these three in particular start off this little serious I'm writing and have a vital connection to the overall main plot and themes. Each of these characters are near and deer to my heart, but I also don't want to give tooo much away (also I'm a bit lazy), so let me just to a brief introduction of these main three.

Zorya: A mysterious girl who seems to be after something; wonderful or terrible, that is yet to be seen. She's stubborn, rude and has a temper to match it, yet those who she allows to come close enough may very well find a soft and kind centre to the seemingly rough and rowdy child. Her eyes also seem to shine with a mysterious glow, though none can tell if this is merely a trick of the light or an indicator of something magical or even inhuman.

Yoru: A gentle soul whose dislike of fighting may sometimes make it hard to pick any particular side. At first, he only really wanted to find his loved ones and bring them all back home, yet, the worlds beyond his own stirs his curiosity. Shocked to discover his home had been "swallowed by darkness", Yoru joins forces with two others close to his own age in search of both answers and a way back home. All the while, he is plagued by the strangest of dreams, yet... he can never seem to recall them upon waking.

Taiyo: A researcher from a distant world. While he does pride himself in the teachings of light; a philosophy that deems light as the superior to darkness, he finds himself wishing for more. Taiyo is in search of one thing: Ansem's Reports. As to why he wants these volumes of knowledge, one could only assume it's due to his curiosity as a researcher, yet who could really say?

Nadia doesn’t usually turn out when I draw her BUT SHE DID THIS TIME!! I’ve finally optimized her design enough where she’s easy for me to draw now! Also, I really need to draw an official fullbody for Verdi….

Ephemer and Skuld wake up - Elias falls asleep.

(This fic was started when the KHUX ending came out and I finished it last night - my Player Elias is being absorbed into Xehanort's heart and Skuld is going to be Subject X. Ao3 link in the reblog.)

The world is on fire.

Ephemer wakes up with his pod floating in the water. He scrambles to sit up, the pod pitching as he moves. He looks around, seeing nothing but water and rubble. He steps out to find the water at knee height where he's drifted, but it looks deeper in some spots.

"Skuld?" He scans the area frantically, but there's no sign of anyone nearby. "Elias?" he calls, and bites his tongue. Of course he's not going to find Elias. They're dead. He killed them.

And Skuld - she must be gone, too, or lost somewhere else. She never would have left him on purpose.

He sloshes through the water, calling her name until his throat is hoarse and his face is wet, his nose snotty. At some point he bangs his shin on some rubble and sinks down in the water, freezing his knees.

He's alone.

When the water becomes too cold to bear, he climbs back into his pod and lays down staring at the sky.

Skuld wakes up in her pod and smells flowers. She frowns, gripping the side of her head where it pounds. She tries to get up and tumbles out the side of the pod, face first into yellow and pink petals. The flowers remind her of something, but she's not sure.

She lifts her head - it spins, pain spiking behind her eyes and temple - and she swallows, her throat dry and chapped, and cries out for someone she can't see. "Ephemer!"

Her head is... Is she bleeding? She can't think clearly. Where is she? Does she know this place?

There's cold cobblestone under her hands. Another name is stuck in her throat, but even though her head is foggy she somehow knows that calling it won't do any good.

They're gone.

She doesn't remember what happened. She just knows that she's lost them.

Skuld realizes belatedly that it's raining. Water hits her back and shoulders, running through her hair as she sits up. The pain in her head is still pounding. She pushes to her knees, her hands clenching around fistfuls of flowers. "Elias."

She can't picture their face. She can't picture Ephemer's. She thinks she might pass out.

He promised he'd be with her on the other side.

"Elias!" she screams, her voice echoing off stone buildings. "Ephemer! Where the hell are you?"

Her head hurts it hurts and she cannot hold on to what's happening right now, much less what happened before she got here. She lays down on her back, letting the rain fall on her face and her eyes close. Maybe if she rests the hurt will stop and she'll be able to figure out what she forgot. Maybe her friends will find her. Maybe the rain will wash it all away.

Elias holds Chirithy against their chest as everything dissolves. It feels weird, a little like falling asleep, a little like pins and needles, extremities going numb and mind shutting down. Is this what dying feels like? Elias had expected it to hurt. Remembered it hurting.

Chirithy nuzzles their tears away. They dream of a small boy with white hair, and an island with gorgeous, gentle blue waves.

Their friends are safe, that's all that matters.

The waves sound like a lullaby.
