How We Hacked Into The Top 10: A Blog Around Seo And How To Get Your Business Up The Rankings.
Now, let us take a detailed look at the main SEO Ranking factors and how you can go about mastering SEO for Google. Many of the SEO ranking factors that we are going to cover in this article will help you build the foundation to get good rankings on the search engines, but you should also take care of user experience once people arrive at your website. One of the goals of fixing SEO ranking factors is to let Google know when pages on your site are relevant for specific search queries so that people click the links and come to your site. Most SEO tactics should be focused on optimizing the content on your website, but there is another method for appearing organically in search results.
Tumblr media
By applying SEO strategies, your blog posts will begin ranking on Google for relevant searches, and they will generate steady traffic that does not disappear over time. Placing your blog within the Google Top 10 for the keywords you are targeting could lead to thousands of daily visits to your site.
These numbers are possible, and many websites have achieved them (I grew my website to 36,000 visitors a day using these techniques), but if you are going to achieve those numbers, then you are going to need to rank your blog in the Google Top 10 Search Results. If your blog is not in the top 10, then very few people will see your listing in the search results, and fewer still will actually click through to your site. You have to get your content ranked in the first results if you want people to click -- and you need to at least rank in the top 10 results to get even marginal traffic. To rank in page one, you have to create content that addresses users' search intent -- i.e., why users are searching for the keywords you are targeting.
You can use Google Search Console reports viewing what keywords users used to find your site, as well as the rankings you are getting for those keywords. Our tool, GrowthBar, allows you to see the suggestions of keywords, and competitiveness scores for that keyword, all when Google is searching as normal. You are likely already ranking for a few keywords already (hopefully, not just for your brand name), but also take a look at Google Search Console.
From there, you can look up popular long-tail phrases from Google Suggest (autocomplete) related to these keywords. When you click on top-traffic links, it opens up a new page where you can see all of these keywords ranked within the Top 100. In the Ahrefs tool, when you click on the down SERP arrow on your keywords row, it will show you the top 10 rankings pages for your keywords, look in the traffic column and you will see the top trafficked links.
To note, the combination of number of links on the page and the overall search traffic is connected and can affect ranking the pages higher, even if the links are generic and not having exact keyword relevancy. Also, keep in mind that authority links are vital for higher rankings in SERPs, particularly on Google.
After finding new topics ideas and nailing down the main keywords, you need to optimize the existing pages to get them ranking higher on the SERPs. If you would like to dig a little deeper on the factors that determine rankings, take a look at Ahrefs blog post about How To Optimize Pages To Ranked High on Ahrefs. By analyzing the highest-value pages on your site, you can boost their rankings in the search engines and bring traffic back to your site. Click here for know more about SEO Company in Brighton.

That is, it is important for your Google Maps listing to rank highly in Google Maps for those terms that your prospects are searching. Emphasizing to Google via your website that you are well-known within your local area may help Google to feel more confident about ranking your business listing in Google Maps for this area, too. Another way to rank better in Google Maps is by embedding a Google Maps in your site, something that most businesses do on their "contact us" pages. Incorporating your main keywords in customer reviews takes Google reviews effectiveness to a new level.

I’ve only been playing magic the gathering for a few months and I feel like I understand how it works pretty well, but I tend to pick things up quick anyway so it makes me wonder how comprehensive it is to complete strangers to the game.
For people who don’t play magic: one of the types of cards is “creatures,” which are left on the playing field and have numerical values called “power” and “toughness,” meaning strength and health. During one player’s turn, they may have their creatures attack another player, which requires them to be “tapped” (turned sideways); being tapped prevents the creature from doing other actions, including blocking. However, creatures that were played the same turn can’t be tapped to attack. For each attacking creature, the defending player chooses one of their own creatures to block it, and blocking creatures do not tap. If an attacking creature is blocked, both creatures deal their power against the other’s toughness as if fighting. Creatures that are not blocked damage the other player’s life total.
With this in mind, creatures can have additional abilities that modify the above combat process. Each of the following “keywords” is used to summarize a sentence or two of additional rules that apply to creatures who have the keyword on their card. I’ve sorted them in what I personally consider to be most to least intuitive, and would like any willing non-players to try and guess their effects without looking them up:
Deathtouch
Trample
Double Strike
First Strike
Lifelink
Flying
Reach
Haste
Vigilance
Menace

Does anyone know where that post is that had people from cities arguing with people from non cities about whether it was rude to make small talk with a barista
I think it started with a post about how in France it’s rude to say anything before “bonjour”

Putting under a cut bc I don’t want this reblogged so widely I have to deal with nonsense. I do actively want discussion from my mutuals and people who follow me, THAT’S WHY I’M POSTING IT, just please don’t reblog. I’ve dealt with so much nonsense lately from posts about much less inflammatory topics... please just don’t. But like....
An ASTONISHING number of times this week I have seen people describe Israel as “occupied indigenous land”. And I just.....
I will not argue the right of Palestinians to live where their families have for generations, and of course I won’t defend what the state of Israel does re: that particular conflict. But WOW, it takes such amazing conceptual contortionism to refer to Palestinians as indigenous to that territory in particular while excluding Jews from indigeneity to that exact place. Unless you want to argue that a people’s indigenous status has an expiration date... in which case I’m going to need you to tell me when that is. How many centuries. How many millennia.
I will argue that there is a conceptual expiration date, when descendants of a people cease to meaningfully exist as a defined group with its own continuous culture, and/or when that land ceases to have a cultural importance to that people. Literally neither of those are applicable in this case. They are the opposite of applicable, they’re laughable to even propose.
I feel like this is the result of attempting to apply the framework of colonialism in the Americas to the GODDAMN LEVANT, WHERE IT MAKES NO SENSE. I’m trying very hard not to assume malicious intent in this framing, because at least in most of the cases I’ve seen this lately, it doesn’t seem like it’s malicious. BUT HOLY SHIT DO YOU REALLY NOT SEE THE IMPLICATIONS INHERENT HERE, BECAUSE WOW, THEY’RE BAD.

Saw an annoying post about {annoying discourse thing you probably know about and if you don't, don't bother learning about it}. Roughly the take was "if you're complaining about {counterproductive act}, tell me how you're personally doing something more effective to solve {X}".
First off, this is annoying because {X} is a topic that in no way suffers from a lack of *awareness raising*. It's an industrial policy issue, and you're going to solve it (or not) on that basis, not from some kind of messianic marching in the streets. Furthermore, it's an issue where the average person in government is way more willing to commit resources to solving this than average voter. If governments actually were really ~listening to the people~ on the topic, they would be doing far less than they're already doing.
Secondly... why are you putting this rhetorical burden on the critics? If you're doing some obnoxious counterproductive bullshit, people have every right to criticize you, and you should just fucking stop. I'm automatically doing a more effective job at solving the world's problems by the simple expedient of not actively trying to blow my own dick off, thank you very much.
