KH OC Week Day 2
Little late in the day, but better late than never? Anyway, on to Day 2! Day 2: New World ◾What would it be like if your OC visited a world they'd never seen before? As I did for Day 1, today I'll have short bit about both Velcia (KHx-Era) and her eventual descendant, Velcia ("Modern" KH Era).
KHx-Era Velcia:
For the KHx-Era Velcia, the experience of truly visiting a new world is rather more muddied. Daybreak Town is not her true homeworld, and although she does not remember much aside from fleeting memories of her true home she is never able to to really shake the fact that she isn’t quite in the right place. Further complicating her perspective is the fact that, as a Wielder of Daybreak Town, she has visited many of The Master of Master’s Projected Worlds created by the Book of Prophecies. While she still finds each new world to be incredible in its own right, it isn’t until she finally ends up in the true world of Olympus that she learns how much more satisfying the real thing can be. And so, in the end, her reaction to visiting an entirely new world really changes depending on where she is in her life. Prior to the Keyblade War, any new world would be met with the same drive and determination to learn and document everything she can. She is driven to see things, draw them, to learn more or less how it is and how it works, before bustling off to take one more little nibble off the plate of infinity that is the unknown.
After the Keyblade War, after the horrors and dust have settled and she’s begun to adjust to life in her new world, however, little Velcia’s frenetic nature would come to focus into something more personal and passionate. Though she’s unlikely to ever become a people-person, her relationships with the people she sees and the world around her would grow to have a much slower pace and a deeper appreciation. If she were to visit a new world at this point, her countless stacks of pages covering a large range of topics would be replaced with more neat and organized subjects of considerably greater depth, and her focus would be to learn and find the heart of what makes each place uniquely special.
KHII-Era Velcia:
The first new world Velcia gets to visit and really truly explore is Eos. Coming from Olympus, a world with nearly no technology, she finds herself constantly impressed and amazed by the marvelous machines and society that they have built. Despite this, she finds herself more engrossed in learning as much as she can about the properties of magic on this world and devotes much of her time to learning the fundamental construction of several Lucian Spells - even on other worlds, her thirst for knowledge and love of learning are hard to set aside. The first several New Worlds she visits are during her travels with Hinata. Velcia grew up hearing quite a bit about the “World Order” (Or at least, an approximation thereof), but her understanding of this is put into a bit of a conflict by the requirements of their mission. Velcia does her best to respect each world, though ultimately tries to defer to the decisions made by DiZ or Hinata in most cases.
Having very highly attuned magic senses, Velcia comes to find that the way she remembers each world best is by the unique sorts of magic each world is imbued with - much like some may remember a location, food, or event by the smell, sounds, or flavors. The base magical elements of each world are similar, but the way these elements are used by the locals is seldom the same from one world to the next; and learning about these is generally her favorite part.
Being a potion-maker by trade, she also finds herself very interested in each world’s local plant life and other sorts of materials that are naturally saturated with magic properties, or those that can be imbued easily with it. It takes some time for the notion to come to her, but she does eventually start trying to collect especially interesting or unique plants or seeds from worlds when she finds she has the time or opportunity. Someone, someday, is going to need to have a discussion with Velcia to teach what an ‘invasive species’ is. Also, I have this picture from a few years back of this Velcia wearing the outfit she got when she traveled to Eos for the first time. This picture was commissioned for me as a present, and was created by an artist called Benvey.

KH OC WEEK
Day 1 - introductions
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Ittssss Aronia! A little nobody with a big…heart shaped void, being the youngest member in a traveling group of keyblade warriors known as the lightbringers she brings a smile in low places and makes you question why this child was allowed access to a weapon. While she can’t remember her somebody or her home, she feels just fine with who she is now with her new family….Even if she isn’t very good at her duty

Okay, finally feeling better so it's OC Week time!
Prompt 1: Introduction.
Tumblr media
From left to right: Zorya, Yoru and then Taiyo. These three are some of many characters in my Kingdom Hearts fic (I'll post it all on Ao3 one day I promise), but these three in particular start off this little serious I'm writing and have a vital connection to the overall main plot and themes. Each of these characters are near and deer to my heart, but I also don't want to give tooo much away (also I'm a bit lazy), so let me just to a brief introduction of these main three.
Zorya: A mysterious girl who seems to be after something; wonderful or terrible, that is yet to be seen. She's stubborn, rude and has a temper to match it, yet those who she allows to come close enough may very well find a soft and kind centre to the seemingly rough and rowdy child. Her eyes also seem to shine with a mysterious glow, though none can tell if this is merely a trick of the light or an indicator of something magical or even inhuman.
Yoru: A gentle soul whose dislike of fighting may sometimes make it hard to pick any particular side. At first, he only really wanted to find his loved ones and bring them all back home, yet, the worlds beyond his own stirs his curiosity. Shocked to discover his home had been "swallowed by darkness", Yoru joins forces with two others close to his own age in search of both answers and a way back home. All the while, he is plagued by the strangest of dreams, yet... he can never seem to recall them upon waking.
Taiyo: A researcher from a distant world. While he does pride himself in the teachings of light; a philosophy that deems light as the superior to darkness, he finds himself wishing for more. Taiyo is in search of one thing: Ansem's Reports. As to why he wants these volumes of knowledge, one could only assume it's due to his curiosity as a researcher, yet who could really say?

Big ol' Fanfic Writing Post
Starting with @khoc-week content from a while back that I finally got around to posting on Ao3
I competed 6/7 of the prompts from (was it last month? I think so)
Tumblr media
Then the crossover fic with Zorya and @bluest-planet 's OC Yoruhua meeting each other.
I have added two more chapters to what was originally just a one shot!
I'll be working on other smaller projects like this for fun while I finish up Act 2 of my main fic and edit it. Hopefully, I'll be able to post that as well at some point as well 👀♥️

KH OC Week Day 1 Part 1 - (Re)Introductions
Hello again! I’m back with my Scala Survivors AU OCs, although they and the AU as a whole have had some changes since last year’s entries and the Dark Road finale. (RIP 75% of my DR era headcanons lol, but I did mostly enjoy how the story played out in canon.)
Major spoilers for Dark Road ahead (for this post and the rest of my entries this week)!
The premise of this AU: Due to the meddling of a certain dark witch, the events of Dark Road played out a little differently in this worldline. TL;DR - Hermod, Urd, Vor, Vidar, Hoder, and Bragi survived Baldr’s rampage. With the exception of “Bragi” (as Luxu had to wait a while to finally swap vessels for Plot Reasons™), they lived all the way to the BBS era where they’ve taken on apprentices just like Eraqus and Xehanort. My OCs for this week are said apprentices.
(Fair Warning: This is not a fix-it AU, this is a “break more things” AU. Just throwing it out there now.)
We’ll start with the two characters that underwent the least amount of changes since the finale dropped:
Name: Sophia
Gender: Female (She/Her)
Age: 19 years old during the events of BBS
See her art and full character profile here
Biggest changes: Sophia got a redesigned keyblade with a new name and new outfits, but not that much has changed for her story-wise. Her post-timeskip design now includes matching scars with Brandr and Virdandi (but in different places for each of them) due to the attack in Traverse Town. (To go along with the emotional scarring, of course!)
Name: Ferrum
Gender: Male (He/Him)
See his art and full character profile here. (He’s gone by the time of BBS, but he haunts the narrative like it’s his job.)
Biggest changes: Besides aging up by two years, Ferrum also made it out of the rewrite relatively unscathed. Most of his changes happened as a result of fleshing out his backstory and motivation for being a keyblade wielder, as well as adding a “supporting cast” for him in the period of time before Brandr and Virdandi were apprentices.
Speaking of those two, of course my two OC fankids were the most affected by the post-DR rewrite, especially:
Name: Brandr
Gender: Male (He/Him)
Age: 18 years old during the events of BBS
See his art and full character profile here. (Note: Major spoilers for Dark Road mentioned)
Biggest changes: Oh boy. Obviously my “Bragi is just a red herring because giving him a name that’s only one letter off from Braig is way too obvious, even for Nomura” theory didn’t really pan out. (At least his cool but anachronistic jacket makes a lot more sense now.) With the timeline established by the events of DR, a lot of plot contrivances would have to occur for Brandr to exist at all now… but I did it anyway!
In his new backstory, Brandr is being raised by his single mother (a free spirit who’s into older men) and Bragi/Luxu isn’t a presence in his life at all. In fact, Luxu has no idea Brandr even exists due to being distracted by the previously mentioned Plot Reasons™ and he didn’t think to check up on the gorgeous lady from Scala that he’d had a brief fling with before finally swapping vessels.
If he had known about Brandr, Luxu would be freaked out to discover that his son has developed the same rare power that the Master of Masters had. Whether due to centuries of Luxu’s body-swapping doing weird things to his genes or just a cruel twist of cosmic irony, Brandr has the ability to glimpse visions of the future. Except Brandr doesn’t have the same level of control over his powers as the MoM and the uncontrollable visions that resulted from this socially ostracized him from most of his homeworld and basically ruined his childhood until Master Urd taught him how to (mostly) manage his condition.
Brandr’s driving motivation as a character has also changed pre and post-timeskip. When he meets Sophia, his greatest desire is social acceptance. After the events in Traverse Town, his main goal is to learn how to change the terrible futures he foresees for himself and his friends. Destiny doesn’t really work like that though. And the power of foresight alone doesn’t make one a competent chessmaster…
Design-wise, pre-timeskip Brandr has clothing more appropriate for the world and time period he lives in instead of t-shirts and sweatpants. I wanted to keep the anachronistic clothing concept for his post-timeskip look, but this time he’s dressed like someone from a past era. Due to Brandr’s newfound interest in history (as the past is the only time period he can only experience through books), Sophia and Virdandi (but mostly Sophia) got him a coat in the style of Scala’s Gothic era for his eighteenth birthday. He might’ve cried a little.
(And that’s my in-universe justification for why he’s dressed like a knockoff Bloodborne cosplayer lol.)
Brandr’s keyblade has been slightly redesigned, with the most important new detail being the Gazing Eye on the token. Brandr might not know who the eye belongs to but he knows they’re watching him, so Virdandi’s dad made him a metal cover in the shape of an apple to encase the end of the keychain.
Name: Virdandi
Gender: Gender: Female (She/Her)
Age: 17 years old during the events of BBS
See her art and full character profile here
Biggest changes: Virdandi’s story also has a lot of notable differences compared to the previous year. Due to Dark Road using the previous name for one of the upperclassmen, Virdandi’s dad is now named Magni. (Sigyn, who is now Virdandi’s little sister instead of Brandr’s, doesn’t need a name change because the Norse mythological figure she’s named after is different from Sigrun I think?) Neither he nor Urd get a statue this time due to the surviving keyblade wielders trying to cover up the details of the “Calamity” and Baldr’s corruption. (But that’s a story for another time.)
Speaking of Virdandi’s parents, due to the canon timeline established between the events of DR and BBS, the only reason Virdandi exists at all (since Urd should be old enough to be a grandmother by the time her daughter is born) is because of a helpful scientist who owed Urd a favor after she saved her from an experiment gone terribly wrong. Virdandi is biologically Urd and Magni’s daughter, just grown in a tank for the first nine months of her existence. (She’s mostly just sad she didn’t get any superpowers from it.)
Aside from Sigyn, Virdandi also took on Brandr’s burden of expectations from having a Keyblade Master as a parent and the strained parent-child relationship resulting from that. In Virdandi and Urd’s case, however, the issue is that Virdandi actually wants to be a keyblade wielder but Urd doesn’t have time to train her because she’s busy trying to help Brandr manage his powers. Virdandi’s reaction to this lack of attention from her mother is to act out, causing issues with not only Urd but Hoder as well until another keyblade master steps in.
With Bragi out of the picture due to the Dark Road finale reveal, Vidar is now Virdandi’s keyblade master (mostly because I thought it’d be interesting to see what would happen if he lived to face the consequences of his actions in DR). Their relationship is a lot less antagonistic because Virdandi admires him for having wandered the worlds as a Seeker and Vidar has the patience to deal with Virdandi’s idiosyncrasies and shut down any of her temper tantrums.
Aside from the story additions, Virdandi also got a new keyblade design and a different post-timeskip haircut. She adopted Urd’s weird turtleneck thing into her post-timeskip outfit as a sign of their relationship improving.
With all of that out of the way…

KHOC WEEK 2023 DAY 1: Introductions Pt. 2
Tumblr media
What's this? Two entries for the first day of @khoc-week ? It's more likely than you think!
Ombra here is one of those resurrected concepts I mentioned in my first post. She is a being created from a sliver of Kimbri's Heart that splintered off when Xehanort used her as an experimental subject at one point. She's similar in nature to Vanitas in that she's not exactly a Nobody, but a being created from a part of someone else. She, however, is a bit more numb because she was created from a much smaller piece of material. She is not, by her nature, a being of pure Darkness, the Heart piece she was born from contained both Light and Dark, but the dark nature of the experiments and Xehanort's involvement in her birth ended up skewing her more towards the Darker side of things. She is not, however, evil, not really. She is rather naive and desperate to find a place to belong though, which leaves her open to manipulation.
An interesting detail that I couldn't find a way to work into her ref sheet is that she simultaneously craves physical touch and is severely averse to it. She wants someone to hug her so tight she can't feel anything else, but she also has trauma associated with physical contact that prevents her from actively seeking it.
Her fate after being released from Xehanort's experiments is up in the air currently, and while the concept she was created from is a resurrected one she herself is a rather new OC, she only just got a design last night, so I don't know much about her yet. But, hey, neither does she so I guess we'll learn together, lol. That said she probably won't appear much if at all for the rest of the week.
Ref Sheet info below the cut if you can't read it!
Ombra Celestine
A being created from a shattered piece of Heart, she now searches for a sense of self and belonging. She longs to feel complete, but sometimes struggles to feel anything at all due to her fragmentary nature.
Age: Seemingly 16 (As of the Fall of Radiant Gardens)
Homeworld: Radiant Gardens
Occupation: Former Test Subject
Likes: ???
Dislikes: Xehanort and the Apprentices
Special/Other: Created from a splinter of Kimbri's Heart, she can create a prehensile mist of Darkness. Ombra is her given name, Celestine is a second name she chose for herself.

Ol' reliable, this prompt.
The conflict, the coding, the division...
But also greymatter, in its own way. Malleable like playdough.
For this prompt of @khoc-week I'm going my own fun path and talking about both! In a way that's more personality based because why not?
We're scratching that "or" out and scribbling in an "and"~
Let's get this bread!
Day 5 - Light (and) Darkness
Tumblr media
Most of what they are interconnects and stems from one source: destiny interwoven by a KFC meal reject. However their views of light and darkness are all different based on their experiences, as one would expect.
But for the ideas that intertwine, it allows them to keep a different, more personal connection with one another while also being on the same page.
For instance, a point in the direction of darkness has them all agreeing that Igni is a danger to all of them, and not just the heart they all nest in. Together, they all know that if they don't keep her at bay they may all cease to exist at some point or another.
And for light, their deep connection is something they all cherish in different ways, and it helps them make it through the roughest patches even when a good portion of the group isn't physically there for most of it. They keep each other in line for the betterment of all of them.
But they all have their personal ideas to look into as well!
♡♡♡
Iris:
Her ideas of darkness stem from some partial abandonment issues as well as her conflict with how she got here.
She struggles seeing herself as a valuable teammate when she can't do everything all at once, and worries that whatever she can't do or hasn't done will make everything fall apart at the seams.
However, she has also seen darkness puppeteering those who are most susceptible, so she also fears darkness wearing the faces of those closest to her.
Darkness to her is pain manifested to become your worst nightmare.
Light, on a brighter note, is victory and success.
Everything she worked so hard for coming to fruition. It's harmony and rest for her team even when the work may still not be over.
On the shorter end is obviously her companions and getting to see how far they can go, what they can achieve.
She's a go-getter, so light means results in her eyes.
Could this be a problem? Yes, but she seems to take even the smallest steps as little victories. Making sure your local arsonist gets out of bed every day is hard work, but it pays off in the end!
♡♡♡
Irene:
Her view of darkness is more physical.
Experiments leading to destruction, heartbreak, and betrayal. Heartless. Unversed, even. Evil ancient Foretellers who threaten your loved ones. Etc.
If it can physically manifest and holds ill intent, even when redeeming is on the table, it is automatically a threat in her eyes.
Of course that's a radical way of thinking, but it's more of a way for her to test her line of trust. To accept there's potential, but to not take what's there at face value lest you be tricked as it has happened to many others before.
But it also stems from emotions gone too far, too deep letting it rot your core until it twists you into someone you can't recognize.
She works so hard to show everyone love so then that way she can never see that happen.
Her light is giving and receiving love, showing others that they're worth everything despite the flaws, that they can be better when life throws them a heavy stone. Seeing others flourish and live wonderful lives as she too gets to live is what she strives for, including taking care of young, broken teenagers.
Her love may have limits with the darkness within others, but when her trust is revealed suddenly that darkness becomes illuminated so splendidly.
Perhaps she is a true Princess of Heart herself...
♡♡♡
Iliana:
Darkness and light are muddled in her vision, as the concepts have always been mixed in her life, however the further she goes along the more she begins to understand what they may mean as separate values.
Her personal darkness strives with all the horrible things she went through. Loss, isolation, being placed on a pedestal she didn't ask for, her lack of individualism, etc. It all tends to add up, leading to a low self worth, lack of empathy, regrets and guilt. She sees herself as some sort of colossal failure, which in turn she slowly unlearns the more she interacts with those she makes new ties with.
Her views of darkness were mostly internal, but she also learned what it was like to be on the receiving end of those who manifested their internal darkness outwardly a bit too much. Seeing how it ate away at other's psyches pushed her to promise herself she'd never get that far, even if living day by day was difficult enough as it was.
Out of those in the Heart Hotel dynamic, she's the only one who can manifest her darkness in a, albeit very brainless, physically productive way. Productive being a loose way to describe it.
Ah, yes. Rage Form. Where white hot rage is literal and what she embodies. She has other forms, but this one manifests the most, despite all her efforts to be as self controlled as possible. Years worth of frustration on a flimsy hair trigger that when pulled could mean that you get mauled to death, regardless of if you are friend or foe. There is no brain in her wrath filled skull.
And it's exhausting to harbor all of that which she doesn't let others see, especially when it can be a danger to others, but in turn it's also a danger to herself.
So, she had to learn to see light somewhere, regardless of everything going on in and around her, and ended up finding appreciation in mundane things. A good cup of morning coffee, a beautiful sunset, even a bad quality frozen dinner were just a few things she learned to appreciate.
Her light stems from at least being alive to see things she had only heard about in stories, and thought she wouldn't live long enough to experience, that she can carry on and strive to do good despite the hand she was dealt. Even after dying once already (twice if you count the bad timeline of KH3), she still appreciates the little things and it's how she keeps herself sane while she searches for ways to return to one of the real lights in her life.
Her brother is a treasure to her, and her connection to him is so important, and it's his light that keeps her going the most. Even with new friends at her side, something is always missing without him there.
♡♡♡
Now, if we have to go the "or" route to assign them elements, Irene and Iris are definitely light while Iliana is Riku 2 walking the path to dawn or whatever-
Anyway, that does it for today's prompt! See y'all tomorrow for Day 6!!

@khoc-week : DAY ONE: APPEARANCES
Me back at it again with almost forgetting about KHOC Week, But thankfully I decided to do my heartsmiths this year so I already had some refs laying around that I just needed to finish coloring! Sorry for the repeat art, but it’s been awhile since I’ve posted these too so I thought I’d brush the dust off and repost them!
My main man Atlas, he’s gone through some changes recently! Mostly with his hair, but his entire Knave of Hearts design got a makeover that you can see in THIS COMIC I made awhile back.
Tumblr media
Kei!!! The main and best girl. Her design hasn’t changed much from the beginning, mostly I just changed my style of drawing her, and figured out how I wanted her hair loopys to work. Along with her body ref we have her keyblade ref! I absolutely love drawing her keyblade tbh it might be my favorite one to draw out of all my personally made ones. It fits her personality so well and shows how strong of a member of Ursus she is.
Tumblr media
Quest’s design is probably one of my favorites out of the group. I don’t know where in the hell I came up with this, but I did and it’s just always worked out for him. I can’t picture this outfit on anyone else, it’s just so very Quest. He’s my ‘protagonist’ as it were, my original plan was for him to be the KHUX protag but things ended up changing as I developed him. But he’s still a strong wielder and party leader for Leopardos.
Tumblr media
Wynter is so neglected so I decided to include him in with the kids. He’s the OG heartsmith and known as Father Time, the creator of Time Magic and best friend(?) To the Master of Masters.  I do think his design is the weakest out of the four, but I also haven’t been able to design an outfit in a way i’m 100% content with so the battle continues.
His keyblade is special because he can freeze hearts in time, which he ends up using on Atlas before the keyblade war. He has a bittersweet ending as he ends up reincarnated in the main KH storyline after dying in the age of fariytales.
Tumblr media
For those who don’t know what my concept of a heartsmith is, please read the below! It’s the abridged version so if you have any questions feel free to ask them!
In the age of fairytales, when the foretellers were chosen and given their roles, others rose up to their own calling. With the abundance of keyblade wielders now in Daybreak Town, a local smith decided to take it upon himself to learn how to help these young warriors. With the Master of Master’s permission, Wynter Penn started experimenting on how to repair keyblades that were damaged, and the hearts of their wielders by extension. Because of this he was known as the ‘heartsmith’.
Heartsmiths are those with the ability to repair keyblades and hearts. The former being the focus and the latter actually just a useful side effect. As keyblades are manifestations of the heart, being able to repair one means you’re able to repair the other to some extent. The ‘extent’ varies from smith to smith, it depends on how easily the smith can connect with a heart that is not their own.
It was also their job to upgrade keyblades, making them more powerful and suited to their wielders wants more often than not. Though wielders could do this themselves by other means, the smiths offered a more in depth process. They could also repair the keyblade while upgrading it, making it more durable for a time.
There is pretty much two kinds of damage a keyblade can take. Physical, such as the keyblade actually physically breaking and everyone can see that. These are actually more difficult for the smiths to work on but through their magic and their actual smithing backgrounds they are able to build a keyblade back no problem.
Then there’s what I like to call ‘Aches’ because I can’t think of anything better. Aches are the damage wielders have a harder time seeing. It’s when the wielders mental and emotional states physically start affecting their keyblades. As keyblades are manifestations of their heart, it stands to reason if there is something burdening them, something weighing down on their heart, then their keyblade is affected as well. This is the sort of damage only a heartsmith can fix - but it’s also half on the wielder. The wielder has to talk out their burdens, say why their heart is aching, before it can be 100% healed. Sometimes the smiths simply close it the best they can, because at the very least by this point the wielder is aware of their heart’s ache and can work on healing it in their own time. This can lead to multiple sessions but the smiths do their best to repair it to a point that the wielder isn’t just walking in the next day.
So visiting the smiths is akin to a therapy session. They have to talk to the wielders, gain their trust, realize what is bothering them, and talk them through on how to improve.
Upgrading a keyblade is very similar! While combining the materials to make the keyblade stronger, the smiths will talk with the wielders about their goals, why they want to get stronger - and what that even means to them. The upgrade will always succeed, but depending on the wielder’s state of mind and heart during the process and the answer to the questions the smiths ask, that will determine the new strength of the keyblade.

KH OC Week Day 1
Hello! How fun that KH OC Week is finally here! Actually, even though I've known about it since it started, I've never actually taken part in it. But I'm trying it! I'm trying so hard! I've been writing for a very long time, but only started dabbling in KH-related stuff because of @hinataoc. My characters were really originally mostly made to help support her characters and her stories, but the ol' writing bug would bite me every here and there and eventually I started writing little stories and adventures of my own for them. I've got a few now, but this week I think I'll just focus on the two OCs that started this journey for me. So... uh, here we go.
Day 1: Introductions
◾Tell us about your OC!
To start off my first OC Week, I’d like to introduce two of my characters - Velcia and Velcia! …Wait, what?
Yes, I’m afraid that it may seem a bit confusing at first. Both characters share the same name and very similar appearances, but they are in fact very different people! So let me introduce them both and tell you a bit about each one.
Tumblr media
First, credit to the amazing @amyhayanora for the wonderful art of these two for me! She did such a good job of bringing them to life.
Now, to get started! On the left we have the first “Velcia”, who lived in Daybreak Town as a Keyblade Wielder up until the Keyblade War.
KHx-Era Velcia:
Her true name is “Valencia Florere”, but when she arrived in Daybreak Town all alone at the age of 3 years old she was unable to pronounce her own name properly. Nobody in Daybreak Town could have known otherwise, and so her mispronunciation “Velcia” was how she was known. For just this one introduction, I’ll use her ‘real name’, though don’t expect her to recognize it!!
As a toddler, Valencia was rescued from the Lanes Between Worlds by The Master of Masters, who did not deem fit to provide to anyone else an explanation of how she ended up there. Not having the faculty to raise a babbling baby, The Master of Masters created a digital data world modeled after Enchanted Dominion. This snippet of a world was completely devoid of danger, and it was here that Valencia was raised alongside a digital Aurora by the Good Fairies.
Pleasant and peaceful though it was, being raised by digital facsimiles of real people does tend to leave one a little odd, and by time Valencia was old enough to leave this fictional nursery she was quite an odd girl indeed.
Shy, awkward, and almost entirely lacking in social skills, Valencia was nonetheless an aspiring artist who quickly honed her craft as she worked to document as many Wielders and events in Daybreak Town as she could as a sort of reclusive self-styled historian. Her fingers and hands usually have pencil smears on the sides from all her drawing. She does wipe them off constantly, but she’s also drawing constantly so it’s a bit of a self-defeating endeavor.
She doesn’t try to be annoying or obnoxious but has a vague sense that there are things that she does that bother other people that she can’t really seem to change. This leaves her with a bit of a lack of confidence, but she’s always so eager to learn more and add more things to her books she pushes past her awkwardness anyway.
Poor Valencia is terrible at fighting and quite a pushover, who did her best to stick to the periphery and hope nobody would notice her working quickly to sketch them into one of her many books. It wasn’t until she finally met a young man named Balthazar that she was really able to find a stable friend and companion.
Valencia found she had a strong affinity for the World of Olympus, dearly loving everything about it. Of all the Projected Worlds, Olympus was where she spent the most time and as soon as she was able she bought a set of Olympian Robes from the Moogle in Daybreak Town; but stuck to wearing her more familiar boots, pants, and other various accessories. She didn’t know what her true homeworld was supposed to be, but she hoped beyond hope it could be Olympus.
The events leading up to the Keyblade War were nearly as devastating to Valencia as the War itself, and during the war she was struck with what should have been a fatal blow and left for dead - but a very odd thing happened. An unusual Heartless appeared on the battlefield and whisked her away from the chaos, bringing her to Olympus and healing her before ultimately being destroyed.
Now living on the world of her dreams, Valencia eventually managed to put the traumas of her past behind her and start a family. Her now-powerless Keyblade and the name “Velcia” were both passed down through the generations, and each time one “Velcia” passed away the next-born daughter received the name and the heirloom Keyblade, and after some time that brings us to…
KHII-Era Velcia
Velcia Anthes, daughter of Hephestus and Ioanna Anthes, was raised in Thebes as a Potion-Maker and Alchemist by her father after her mother mysteriously vanished when she was two years old. Named after her Keyblade-Wielding Ancestor from her mother’s side, Velcia received the Heirloom Keyblade and grew up hearing stories of wielders from her grandmother and marveling at the tales.
Coming from a family of scholars on her father’s side, Velcia is keenly interested in learning everything she can about the fundamentals of both magic and potion-making; and her devotion to learning magic hit an all-time high after her father and cousin were killed by Vanitas during the events of KH:BBS.
After this, she was taken in by her aunt and uncle who helped her to stay strong and focus on her studies as they worked together to overcome the pain of losing their loved ones. Thanks in no small part to their support and the integrity of her father, Velcia is kind, graceful, and has every bit of the elegance that her KHx-era ancestor lacked; but most of all she is driven and determined to help anybody she can, especially if it means they can avoid the sorts of losses she dealt with growing up.
Thanks to time spent participating in events at the Coliseum when she was younger, Velcia combined her effective if rudimentary physical fighting skills with her growing array of spells to become a competent red mage who was very confident in her magic abilities. In her mid-twenties during the events of KHII, Velcia thought that her life as a potion-maker was perhaps all she would ever be.
One fateful day she meets a visitor from another world named Samantha, and almost the next thing Velcia realizes she’s being asked to come use her magical powers and knowledge to help Sam and Hinata chase down a dangerous Replica called Thaanix. This, it turns out, is only the start of her adventures…
--------
That’s about it for my introductions! I will include answers for both Velcias going forward for the rest of the week, but will likely have more information and pictures posted for the Modern-Era Velcia as I have more stories and art for her. Truth be told, the picture above is really the only proper picture of KHx-Era Velcia I have! Thank you for reading these little bits about my characters, I really hope you’ve enjoyed them.
Anyone who would like to read any of the stories I've written can find them either on my AO3, or on @hinataoc's Fanfiction.net page (which also has a plethora of other very good stories by her that you should check out). Archive of our Own Fanfiction.net
In addition, I have been in the middle of posting a new story about the Modern-Era Velcia called "Return to Eos", with a new chapter posted every weekend. I'm trying to post a little snippet of the chapters here on Tumblr as they go up, so if you are interested you can keep an eye out for those, too. Lastly, thanks very much to the @khoc-week crew (small as it may be this year) for hosting this event. :D

Hey everyone! First time joining everyone and I’m super excited. I’m very happy to share my KH OC Kuragari who @amyhayanora brought to life for me 🖤🖤🖤. Catch up time
Day 1: Appearance
Day 2: Inventory
Them Song 🔽
Physical Appearance
Kuragari is a tall lean and muscular young man with dark brown skin, dark purple eyes and silver hair. Kuragari can summon the pumpkinHead Keyblade as his weapon at will which chose him to become its wielder. Kuragari takes on a much darker look while residing in Halloween town wearing a long, open sleeveless leather trench coat with a sharp collar. He also wears Black long pants with two Black belt Buckles on both legs. Kuragari also sports accessories like his Leather Neck/Chest Harness as well as his black arm sleeves with black belt buckles. He wears tall Black Metallic Reactor Boots which are platform height making him seem taller than normal. The Pumpkinhead Keyblade that Kuragari uses is almost entirely black in color. It has a simple handle, a facsimile of Jack Skellington's head adorning the hilt, and a jagged guard with thin, white veins that is modeled after Jack's bowtie. The shaft of the blade is thin and long, and the teeth resemble a stylized bat hanging from the blade. The Keychain token is a jack o' lantern. The name "Pumpkinhead" references Jack's position in Halloween Town, the "Pumpkin King". Both Jack's head and a jack o' lantern are part of the Keyblade's design.
Personal Inventory
Kuragari enjoys collecting Erie spell-books that he finds throughout his adventures while traveling to different worlds outside of his own (his most beloved spell book is made out of stitched flesh, teeth and a moving eyeball ). In Kuragari’s spare time he likes to read his spell books in peace, practicing different types of black magic further increasing his knowledge and skills.

Hi and welcome for the 4th day of the @khoc-week ! And today we’re talking about :
Determination
I wanted to focus on Xail and her role in the canon story. This is probably going to be a lot of rambling, long post incoming !
The story of before Xail became a nobody and why might change later, because I’m not satisfied with it, but here’s what I have for now : she moved to Twilight Town as a kid because heartless attacked her original world and will meet Roxas here. At first she's kind of worried (he's still pretty emotionless and the coat doesn't help), but they'll befriend each other and she'll show him what "being a real kid" looks like.
This side of the story is unclear, but : she'll become a nobody, and Xemnas will decide to make her a part of the Organization XIII. The idea is that seeing Roxas and Xion are having doubts and distancing themselves from the Organization, he'll bring someone who he knows is close to Roxas to at least have one keyblade wielder who'll stay for as long as he needs them. (I like the idea that he has eyes everywhere, and that he knew about their friendship.) This means Xail is just a pawn, but he'll make her believe she's as important as the other... And it will backfire when she learns the truth.
She isn't here to see Roxas fight Xion, but she will try to find where he went after he left the Organization. She'll only find Sora, right after he woke up... And understand what happened.
After a LOT of events (I'm feeling like this post is too long already lmao), she will join the warriors of light's side, and try to help with the soon-to-come war. While Sora is searching for the power of waking, she'll continue to search about how to bring a heart back (and here is finally today's drawing :)
Tumblr media
She's reading Ansem's notes, but an updated version since she's also working with him to bring her friends back (also she's reluctant to trust him because of what he did to Roxas... So reading his book is better than a talk). And she's stuck on the 'connection' thing because WHO ISN'T ?? (When Roxas comes back he says he only needed a 'connection' left... And it means everything and nothing to me lmao)
At this point of the story, Riku care for Xail and consider her an ally (which was not the case before, he didn't know who she was and was very wary of her). Riku is worried to see her work so late, because I guess this guy knows what overworking yourself looks like. However he doesn't feel legitimate to help because of what he did to Roxas : he feels like he is the starter point of Xail's problems.
As a bonus, here is a little comic I made months ago where they talk about this. I feel like it would feat in the theme "Question" of the Alphabet Prompts !

I'll leave it here ! I hope I haven't lost anyone on the way, and that my rambles made sense !

KH OC Week Day 1 Part 2 - Introductions
Link to Part 1
Time for someone new! Since Hoder lives in this new timeline, it doesn’t make sense that she wouldn’t also have an apprentice when the number of keyblade wielders is already dangerously low. As the Fractured Trio are supposed to be a dark mirror for the Wayfinder Trio, I also figured they should get an Anti-Vanitas of sorts: someone here to cause problems on purpose and who gets along with the trio like oil and water. With that said, say hello to Nemus:
See Full Character Profile Here
[CW: Mentions of canon-typical unethical science, implied child abuse]
With the addition of Nemus, that brings us to six masters and seven apprentices from the Scalan keyblade lineage who are still aligned with the Light by the time of BBS…
