Request (anon): reader (kie’s sister) being afraid to tell jj that she likes him cause she feels like he doesn’t like her back and when kie notices she asks her sister questions and she (reader) says that she always compared herself to kie cause she thought that jj would like a girl like kie and not her

You stared at the fire, chewing at your thumbnail as you let your mind trail off. The rest of the pogues were all deep in conversation about an upcoming party. They were all too engulfed in their convo to notice how out of it you were- well, all except your sister.

Kie had noticed the last few weeks you had been abnormally quiet and too caught up in your own thoughts to really pay attention to those around you. But what had really tipped her off was that you had started biting your thumbnail again- an old nervous habit you had broken long ago.

"I'm gonna go grab some more snacks," Kie announced, standing up and turning to the house, "Y/N, do you mind helping me?"

"Huh?" You snapped out of your daze, looking at your sister with furrowed brows as you tried to decipher what she had just said.

"Will you help me grab snacks?" She repeated with an eye roll.

"Oh yeah- sure," you said quickly, standing up and following Kie inside.The second the door shut, she turned around to face you, "What's going on with you?"

"What? N-Nothing," you said, ignoring the blush forming on your face.

Your sister gave you an unamused look, "Y/N/N, come on, you're not fooling me," she deadpanned, "Now just tell me, what's been going on,"

"It's nothing really... I just," you sighed, brushing your hair out of your eyes, "I just don't know what to do,"

"About...." Kie dragged out the word as she pried, trying to get you to tell her the truth about whatever had been going on.

"I like a guy," your voice came out as a whisper, and you could barely look her in the eye as you said it.

"Seriously? All this over a guy?" Kie laughed, a grin across her face, "Aw, little Y/N's got a crush!" She teased, wrapping her arm around you and giving your shoulder a squeeze.

You shook your head, "No, Kie... it's not just any guy, okay...

"Oh, come on, Y/N,"

"It's JJ," you blurted out. It felt like a weight was lifted off your shoulders as you finally told someone about what had been gnawing at you for weeks.

"Really?" She said, raising her brows in shock as you came clean.

You rubbed the back of your neck, "I know, I know, it's stupid- but I can't stop thinking about telling him how I feel. I just wanna get it off my chest," you took a breath, "But I could never do that, 'no pogue in pogue macking'..." you repeated the rule solemnly, "Plus, it's not like JJ would ever like a girl like me

"Like a girl like you?" Kie gave you an odd look, "Y/N, what do you mean? Any guy would be more than lucky to have you,"

"Oh come on, Kie," you rolled your eyes at your sister's attempt to make you feel better, "How would JJ ever even look at me like that when you're here,"

"Y/N," Kie's eyes softened as she saw how much this was bothering you.

"I can't compete with you, Kie," you felt tears pricking at the corners of your eyes, "You're basically perfect- you're funny, and gorgeous, and sweet, and-"

"Y/N," she cut you off. "Y/N/N, don't compare yourself to me, or anyone else. You're gorgeous- and hilarious and one of the kindest people I know. And any guy would be insane not to see that," she gently wiped the tears from your eyes and pulled you into a hug.

"Thanks, Kie," You said, your voice muffled by her hair.

Summary: You wake up in the middle of the night because you had some really bad nightmares so your girlfriend Kiara comforts you.

You were tossing and turning in bed because of a nightmare. You felt like you couldn't escape it until finally you woke up with a loud gasp. You were covered in sweat, your heart was racing, and your cheeks were tearstained.

Kiara had waken up slightly when you jumped awake. You did not know that she had woken up and you began to cry silently because of your nightmares. She frowned and then sat up and moved closer to you.

"Baby, what's wrong? Why are you crying?" She asked softly as she pulled you into her arms.

"I- I just... I had some really bad nightmares and they just... felt so real." You stuttered as you sobbed.

"It's okay, the bad dreams are all over now. You're safe." Kie said softly as she laid back down, pulling you down with her. She laid on her back and you rested your head on her chest. She held you close and kissed your head softly.

"I love you, baby." She said softly.

"I love you too." You sniffled. She pet your head and kissed your head again. She was trying to do everything she could to make you feel safe and calm. She hated to see you upset like this and she always tried her best to make you feel better.

"You're okay now." She said softly. "The nightmares weren't real, it was just your imagination." She said. You nodded as your sobs calmed a little. She always knew just how to make you feel safe, calm, happy and loved.

You were so lucky to have a girlfriend like Kiara. You honestly don't even know how you ended up having such an amazing girlfriend like her but, you were so grateful that you got to be with her. She gently caressed your arm and you sobs now turned into quiet sniffles.

"That's it, you're okay now. Just try to think happy thoughts." She said. After a few minutes of her softly talking to you and snuggling you, your eyes got heavy. Your eyes slowly fluttered shut as you fell asleep in Kiara's arms.

"Sweet dreams." She whispered in your ear as you drifted to sleep.

YOU and jj sat in the library holding hands while you were studying for a test that was coming up in a couple of days. jj, not caring for his schooling, sat there fiddling with everything he could land his eyes on.

your pens, your notebooks, your hair, your necklaces, your laptop, his hair, his necklace, his rings, everything. eventually, all of that bored him and he started fiddling with your fingers, holding your hand close to his lips and pecking soft kisses on your knuckles, tracing where he drew smiley faces earlier, and muttering soft "hi , what are you working on?, i love you"s to you.

after he got bored of fiddling with your fingers, he grabbed your red pen from your bag and gently forced your hand to lay flat on the table, palm up.

"what are you doing, jay?" you whisper, taking your eyes off of your notes. he looks at you with a smile and soft eyes. you watched as he wrote his name in your palm with a small heart next to it. you giggled and kissed his cheek before going back to your notes.

"sunshine?" he asked 5 minutes later.

"hm?"

"can i draw small hearts on your hand?" you nodded and smiled at him. he smiled widely and took off, drawing the smallest red hearts he could all over your hands, kissing each one after he finished.

JJ and Kie were set up from the very beginning and you cannot convince me otherwise. From the way he's always the one with her when she's dealing with her parents, to the way she's there when he is dealing with his, to the way they hugged each other first when they found out John B & Sarah were still alive, to the way---even though she was dating Pope---JJ stopped to ask Kie if they were going to follow Pope after he bolted out of the car to chase Gavin, and then opened the door for her, and ran beside her.
