Sayaka Maizono

♡ Her passion for her career and friends.

✘ The way she tries to screw over Makoto when the game had just begun. Like wait and see what happens before screwing over such a great guy? Leon didn’t deserve it either.

Leon Kuwata

♡ His voice actor (English), and how real and human his execution was in that we all would be so scared and irrational. It was just so iconic and sad as it’s our first introduction to the death in this series and we all think: “shit, this is real... they are really killing these kids.” I didn’t think it would be that brutal, just seeing his body limp at the end with the haunting music.

✘ His design is disgusting. I hate how he looks.

Chihiro Fujisaki

♡ So innocent, so kind, so intelligent

✘ Shouldn’t have been killed for such a stupid reason, also they did Mondo dirty with that motive for killing as well. Just a mess. As for the actual character, Chihiro cries right off the bat when you do your introductions and that was kind of annoying to me personally.

Mondo Oowada

♡ He has a lot of respect, understanding and emotions for someone I thought would be a hard-ass douche biker.

✘ The worst motive to kill ever in a game where you know you’re getting executed if you’re found out. Like you’d be extra careful and that’s his reason to kill? Lazy writing.

Celestia Ludenberg

♡ Bad bitch energy and her goth lolita design.

✘ Manipulation and double murder. Bad bitch energy only goes so far. Confidence is different then selfishness. Also, of all the chapter 3 triple murders... the worst motive to kill.

Kiyotaka Ishimaru

♡ Emotions: secure in his masculinity, able to cry, show emotions, and apologize when he’s wrong. He’s funny and likable.

✘ The Ishimondo white hair thing was stupid. Taka was fine on his own.

Hifumi Yamada

♡ Writing takes talent, fan fiction as much as any other style or genre. Also the talent of his voice actor (who also voices Kiibo/K1-B0).

✘ Literally everything else about him.

Sakura Oogami

♡ I love everything about her. I love her wisdom, loyalty, design, voice etc. Just step on me, mother.

✘ Why the hell would she ever agree to be a spy even if it meant the end of her dojo? I just don’t think she would do that rationally because she isn’t selfish. The others would suffer for her spying. She remedies this with redemption in her letter in chapter 4 but still she should’ve said no off the bat. Everyone had something to lose. The dojo wasn’t worth spying for monokuma. Also I just don’t think she would commit suicide. She can’t help the remaining students survive and redeem herself truly if she’s dead.

Kyoko Kirigiri

♡ Bad bitch energy, calm and collected when I could never be.

✘ Especially in future arc of the anime, damn can you show some emotion please? Through your words and expressions not just your actions. Sure she was willing to “die” for Makoto but like I just want more emotion from her sometimes, even in THH.

Makoto Naegi

♡ So pure. I Love Bryce Papenbrook. Makoto reminds me of Sora and I love his design.

✘ In THH I didn’t mind his innocence but in the Danganronpa 3 future arc anime, when people started straight up abusing him and accusing him, he needed to grow a little backbone.

Byakuya Togami

♡ Love my dad, king shit, also love how over the progression of the games and animes he becomes a little more kind to his friends.

✘ Why the fuck did he mess with Chihiro’s body? Just so cruel and disrespectful.

Yasuhiro Hagakure

♡ Funny magic man. Sexy voice.

✘ Please. Please Hiro use your brain just once. Why do we have to prove Kyoko isn’t a ghost?!

Toko Fukawa

♡ Character development in UDG and I love Genocider.

✘ Putting down herself and others constantly gets old in THH.

Aoi Asahina

♡ Love her voice actress and her personality

✘ We really just gonna get everyone killed in chapter 4 huh? Surely you know they don’t all deserve that.

Junko Enoshima

♡ A very memorable villain with great hair and design.

✘ I just can’t stand her. I hate her so much.

Mukuro Ikusaba

♡ Her mercenary background is super cool as a concept.

✘ Too bad it wasn’t explored nearly enough.

Hajime Hinata

♡ Seeing the protagonist be a little less naive, innocent and positive than Makoto was a refreshing change, although I loved Makoto. I liked Hajime’s cynicism and expressions that sometimes just screamed “this shit again, huh?”

✘ I enjoy the way Izuru looks but I hate him as a character. He is sexy to look at but Hajime is just a better character overall

Teruteru Hanamura

♡ His love for his family and mother especially is so cute and heart breaking if you know the full story.

✘ He needs to know when to dial it back and quit with the perversions. And no it’s not just how he looks, Miu needs to chill at times, too.

Twogami

♡ I feel like he genuinely cares about his friends, just hides it well

✘ His death felt like a cop out and poorly written. It just didn’t sit right with me. Also his design is disgusting to me, his outfit and such.

Mahiru Koizumi

♡ Loyal to her close friends.

✘ I just have no interest in her as a character and I find her boring.

Peko Pekoyama

♡ Loyalty. Loyalty is something I value very highly in every form of relationship. Peko is also very hot.

✘ Come on girl... I know how you were raised but you should’ve known Fuyuhiko didn’t think of you as just a tool and you two should’ve expressed your true feelings long ago. Like even in secret. How do you live like this? Also I feel like killing Mahiru could’ve been avoided with a calm talk.

Ibuki Mioda

♡ Cute design, positive vibes.

✘ Cringe sometimes in the way she talks.

Hiyoko Saionji

♡ Beautiful character design and some very good insults and snarky remarks at times.

✘ Just irredeemably mean and annoying. Even when you do her free time events she is just so annoying.

Mikan Tsumiki

♡ I like her design as well as her hair, expressions, sprites and clothing.

✘ I hate her. I just hate her whether she’s in her true psycho form or timid stuttering form. She’s just annoying in my opinion.

Nekomaru Nidai

♡ So supportive, can hold my drink at a party. Respects everyone and wants the best for them.

✘ Bro Mechamaru was a stupid plot point. I just couldn’t stand looking at him and couldn’t take it seriously. Still sad when he died though.

Chiaki Nanami

♡ From chapter 5 of sdr2 on she is impossible not to love if you didn’t already. Just the selflessness, the sadness of the reveal and execution, how she returns to help Hajime at the end???? I love her. I love her hair design, color palette, her personality, everything.

✘ I’m bitter and miserable about her being the only class member to actually die (the despair arc anime) also her falling asleep at random times is kind of odd and she doesn’t seem to be like that later on in the game??? Like it seemed like a cheap joke but not actually who she is? Hard for me to explain.

Gundham Tanaka

♡ King shit, couldn’t praise him enough. He’s sexy, loves animals, and is funny as hell sometimes. His voice actor is a saint and a cool dude and I named my guinea pigs after the Dark Devas (yes I know they are hamsters in the games.)

✘ Come on dude. I get that being from Hell and magic and having evil powers is your shtick, but we all know that you and Nekomaru sacrificed yourselves so the others wouldn’t starve. We know you care about your classmates. There comes a time when it’s time to let personas and facades fade and be true to your heart. I just feel like him denying he cared at the end hurt. We all know he cared. I didn’t like how he was haughty until the end. He deserved better. I love him.

Nagito Komaeda

♡ I love him so much. So cunning and intelligent, always a step ahead. And he’s big sexy.

✘ Him killing himself in chapter 5 hurt me so bad I was like in denial for days. Also hate how Bryce Papenbrook gives him a raspy stoner psycho voice in the game then a light airy higher-pitched voice in the despair arc anime. It just bothers me. I love his voice still but the inconsistency just hurts my OCD

Sonia Nevermind

♡ I love that she’s so interested in her passions and love her feelings for Gundham

✘ Her outfit and bow are atrocious. Also why didn’t she start liking and talking to Gundham sooner on? Their romance bloomed late and it would’ve made for a better chapter 4 ending if they were a bit closer.

Kazuichi Souda

♡ Cool design and outfit, love his voice (also voices Kaito in V3) and his backstory is relatable at times. He’s also very human in that he’s scared a lot of the time or insecure or blames others in panicked situations. It’s not always a good thing but it’s human and realistic.

✘ Gosh he can be so annoying. Sometimes flirting or whining too much is well... too much.

Akane Owari

♡ Strong-willed and definitely someone I would be friends with

✘ What the hell is her outfit? Gymnasts and athletes don’t wear that shit. Stop objectifying her when it doesn’t even make the product or plot better. Like there’s absolutely no point to making her dress that way. I was a gymnast for 15 years. Even those who do parkour (which Akane seems to do more often than actual gymnastics in the anime and game) don’t wear what she wears. Also she’s underrated.

Fuyuhiko Kuzuryuu

♡ I love him. He’s the DR character I’m most like out of all the games and anime. Tenko is a close second. I think he’s adorable, love his character arc, development, redemption, and love his voice.

✘ In the anime/despair arc, Fuyuhiko is not done justice. He doesn’t get enough lines, has a different voice actor, just doesn’t give off the same vibes.

Izuru Kamakura

♡ Sexy man long hair good.

✘ Boring character. I wish he were just Hajime.

Kaede Akamatsu

♡ Loyalty and leadership are such attractive qualities in her. Also she faced her death with such class and dignity and I respect her because I could never.

✘ Some of the voice lines Erika does for her are just weird and cringe. Just random moans or grunts... I don’t know it’s like when Ann Takamaki from Persona 5 (also voiced by Erika) makes suggestive noises as well. Just grinds my gears. Also hate her outfit down to the hair pins.

Shuichi Saihara

♡ I love his nasally voice. I love his design and he’s so adorable. I love how emotional and compassionate he can be. He ties with Makoto for favorite protag of mine.

✘ That sprite where he sniffs his hand. And his ugly ass hat.

Rantarou Amami

♡ Sexy man, sexy voice, sexy piercings

✘ Ugly outfit, and wasted potential

Ryoma Hoshi

♡ I respect him and feel bad for his outlook on life and for how poorly he views himself. I love his little hat as well and he’s the first “different styled” character (Hifumi, Bandai, Teruteru) that I liked the design of.

✘ I hate when he says “got a long ways to go,” it’s overused and annoying, and wish he gave himself more credit. Also hate that when you first meet him he warns you that he’s killed people and is dangerous to be around. Come on buddy, you know you wouldn’t hurt your friends. Stop pushing them away.

Kirumi Tojo

♡ Competence, well rounded, skillful

✘ Boring as hell. I wouldn’t waste one free time event on her.

Angie Yonaga

♡ Dark skin, super cute, love her talent as an artist myself.

✘ Gives religious people a bad name and is super manipulative which I hate.

Tenko Chabashira

♡ I relate to her and feel bad when she’s misunderstood. She’s a good person deep down. Also love her sprites.

✘ There’s more cunning, funny and clever ways to write her digs at men.

Korekiyo Shunguuji

♡ I’m in love with this man. Long hair, voice, mystery, mask, intelligence, passion, talent.

✘ He definitely was a victim of abuse and a lot of people refuse to see that and just hate him. Team Danganronpa should’ve given him a redemption arc where he realized his sister abused him and changed.

Gonta Gokuhara

♡ I love his design except for his suit. Also he’s so cute and naive. I cried for his trail.

✘ No need talk like caveman. Better way to do this.

Kokichi Ouma

♡ Like Nagito, I value his intelligence and crazy cunning.

✘ Shouldn't have died. Also shouldn’t have manipulated Gonta. That was just cruel.

Miu Iruma

♡ She has her hilarious moments and her death surprised me and was sad.

✘ Sometimes she lacks basic empathy, i.e. calling Tenko “Tencrotch” when she just fucking died.

Maki Harukawa

♡ Amazing character development. Didn’t see her surviving until the end at the start. Also her love and passion for Kaito.

✘ “Do you wanna die?” gets old.

Kaito Momota

♡ Just the overall best bro you could ever have.

✘ Has some toxic masculinity issues and anger issues.

K1-B0

♡ Pretty much everything about him. His design, his attitude and personality, especially how amazing and cool he is chapter 5 onward, his execution made me so sad. He’s so innocent and funny without trying.

✘ When you do his free time events he’s very arrogant and just talks about himself a lot... it seems odd and not similar to the Kiibo we see throughout the game.

Himiko Yumeno

♡ Super cute design, love her voice and “Nyeh...” and her sprites. Her character development is great as well.

✘ Why did they take so long to make her important and likable?

Tsumugi Shirogane

♡ An excellent and well hidden reveal

✘ I hate her. So annoying, from the voice to the references and her personality.

• At first he found it a bit ironic.

• Out of all the people on the island, you felt the safest around a member of the Yakuza.

• When you first started following him around the island like a lost puppy he got a bit pissed off.

• "Listen, I don't know why the fuck you keep following me, but if you're planning on murdering me or something, you got another thing coming."

• You shook your head and held your hands up defensively. "N-no! I don't want to murder you! I just feel safe around you, that's all."

• "Oh. Well don't think I'm gonna protect you or some shit!"

• (That was a lie he protects you like his life depends on it)

• Whenever you get scared and hold his hand he stutters and blushes.

• If anyone dares to mess with you he will beat the shit out of them.

• If there's a moment where he can't be with you he will have Peko protect and watch over you.

Gundham

• Gundham actually let you follow him around for a while, not really questioning it.

• But it was being to make him feel uneasy.

• "Mortal, why do you keep following me around? Are you planning on trying to defeat the Almighty Gundham Tanaka? Because if so, I will not hesitate to destroy you!"

• "What? No! I don't want to kill you. You just seem so powerful, it makes me feel safe."

• Gundham thought for a moment before smiling at you. "Hahaha! It seems as though a weak mortal needs me to protect them! Very well then, I shall do so."

• When you first start hanging out he's a bit awkward.

• He's not used to people hanging out with him, so sometimes the conversations don't last long.

• If there is ever a time where you two need to be separated for some reason, he will cast a protection spell on you to make you feel safer.

• He also gives you two of his Four Dark Devas of Destruction.

• If you ever touch him he will immediately pull away on instinct.

• "Y/N! You can not touch me! You will be infected with poison!"

• "But I thought I had a protection spell cast upon me."

• He just kinda stops for a moment. Your not wrong though, he did cast a spell on you.

• "That is true. Fine! You may touch me mortal, but only when you feel scared."

Kiibo

• You had been following him around for a week now.

• He wasn't enjoying it at all.

• "Excuse me Y/N, but why do you keep following me? Do you need something?"

• "No, I don't need anything. I just like being with you, it makes me feel a bit safer in this killing game."

• "I see. Humans often look to other humans for comfort, so if you need me to provide comfort and security I would be glad to do so!"

• After that he just let you follow him around to academy.

• Since he only needed to charge once a week or so, he never really went to bed.

• So whenever it was nighttime and you had to go to bed, he would stay awake and guard your bedroom.

• He has Miu give him updates that allow him to protect you better.

• If you ever hold onto his hand he will hold it back.

• Call him and he's there in a minute.

Gonta

• When you first started following Gonta around he didn't think anything of it.

• He just thought it was a weird coincidence that you two were always in the same place at the same time.

• One day though it clicked in his head that you were following him.

• He wasn't mad or anything, just confused.

• "Y/N? Gonta noticed that you've been following him around for a while now. Is something wrong?"

• "Oh. Nothings wrong. You just make me feel safe, so I've been following you. Sorry.

• He was a bit shocked at first. Most people were scared of him, you were the first person who ever felt safe with him.

• "You... feel safe with Gonta?"

• You nodded your head shyly.

• "Gonta will protect you Y/N! No matter what! Like true gentleman."

• You guys are best friends now since no one else in the academy wants to hang out with him.

• He's with you twenty four seven and refuses to leave your side.

• If you ever need anything he will do it for you no further questions asked.

• No one messes with you now that your friends with Gonta. So his presence alone pretty much protects you.

• When you get scared and hug him or latch onto him you he will blush a bit.

• Usually shields you with his body if there's any danger.

• If you ever get scared and hug him he is going to hug you back and comfort you.

• He's just so happy that he finally go to be useful and help someone.

Kaede Akamatsu!

Why I like them

She is an atypical autistic icon, especially post first flashback light, so as someone who relates to that experience and see similar flaws and strengths in her as the ones I have, I really do have a soft spot for her. Also, her frankness is often hilarious, I love it.

Why I don’t

Honestly, there isn’t much I don’t like about her character? I have some things on the fandom side that bugs me with her, but as far as her own character goes, there isn’t really much. I actually do like her flaws (impulsiveness, quick to switch to an all or nothing/black or white thinking, tends to miss what’s in front of her in a lot of ways, has a certain self centered understanding of people that she can only achieve by comparing the way other people feel about other things by how she feels about piano/music especially with other ultimates etc) so I can’t even say I don’t like those flaws, really.

Favorite episode (scene if movie)

I do like the elevator talk with the context of her thinking she is going down there either to her death and/or to catch the Mastermind, and how it is both a double talk about her own fears while also coming off as encouragement to Shuichi. It’s the sort of thing that hits differently with the context of her thinking she is Rantaro’s killer

Favorite season/movie

She lasted like one chapter, two if you count the prologue, so... And the prologue is mostly introduction, so there isn’t much to characterize her beyond acting like a normal scared girl about the circumstances she was suddenly thrown into. She was interesting in chapter 1, but I am also biased to her fun reactions to meeting the cast too so I’ll cheat and say both lol

Favorite line

"I think everyone is afraid of learning the truth. But the people who are willing to find the truth are the ones who can decide their fate. If you never know the lies from the truth, then you can't choose a path. You won't even know you're on a path. So...fight for the truth... Even if it is frightening. I know you can do this. If you're scared, borrow the strength of others who will be there to help you. Think of everyone you're helping, and let that be your strength."

Favorite outfit

She has like two outfits besides crossover events, but I think it is her argument armament dress. What can I say, I love that kind of frilly clothing too~

OTP

I don’t really have hardline ships with her (or anyone, really) but she is the bi queen of V3 so I’m down for basically all cast, maybe sans Kiyo unless it’s an AU situation where he wouldn’t kill her. Ones that stand out most to me are her FTEs with Shuichi in the Salmon Mode, her events with Tsumugi, Kokichi and Kaito though. I really like Kaemiu and Kaede x Tojo content when I occasionally see them too.

Brotp

Again basically everyone but I’m very partial to her friendship with Kaito given it very much read to me like an autistic girl meeting a likely neurodivergent boy too and both connecting over their hyperfixations/special interests (Music and Space, respectively).

Rantaro more because he reads very aroace to me as an aroace myself, so I’m really down for the two bonding too.

Kokichi’s events with her was actually some of the rare times Kokichi is praising someone openly, to their face no less, to the point of offering “ruling over the world together” so again I’m very down for that too.

Head Canon

I’m pretty sure my take of her being actually a surprisingly realistic (if unintentional) portrayal of an autistic girl/someone who grew up with AFAB experience of their neurodivergence being ignored and mocked until her special interest “proved her worth” counts as a headcanon, so that.

Also tangentially, I think she would have songs she associates with people/situations beyond her just name dropping one song at the prologue retake and during that classroom event with Shuichi, even in a peaceful world too.

Unpopular opinion

I didn’t dislike the protag swap, I just wish Kodaka didn’t pull the troll of advertising her as the protag for so long (especially since as far as my understanding of V3 goes, both her and Shuichi were just POV side characters in universe, with Kiibo being the “real protagonist” of the season) and I really do like that she attempted a murder.

A wish

For her to get a chance to have friends who understands the way she experience the world and bond with to spend rest of her life with, without feeling like she is a “freak” (or an “idiot” if going with piano baka) as people would call her over her obsession with piano, so just having a happy life in general.

An oh-god-please-dont-ever-happen

Gestures at the V3 canon Losing her ability to hear would be probably most devastating thing to her besides death, so that.

Bold, Cheerful, Friendly, Obsessive (With SI and even how she describes that she wants to know everything about her new friends), Impulsive.

Kiibo, Makoto, Hajime, and Shuichi who think they can hide their crush but their ahoge betrays them.

KIIBO: Well... this was different.

Perhaps the professor made a mistake in his code, a glitch or a small error.

Either way, he had NO idea why he felt the way he did when you were around.

At first, he was lost. He felt like he couldn’t move in his own body when he was with you, but as time went on, he gained control back and felt like he could mask these feelings around you.

Or so he thought.

Because there was one thing that everyone could see that he couldn’t. The small piece of metal atop his head. The cursed piece that would curl up into a heart when he saw you.

And you thought it was the cutest thing.

You knew you liked Kiibo for about a week now, but you knew he liked you for a much longer amount of time. You simply thought it was just a little crush he would move on from, and you two would just stay friends. But as you thought about that, you thought of Kiibo’s adorable, curious personality. His captivating robot eyes. His calming laugh.

You liked him too.

Well, you got lucky, cause you knew he liked you back. So, you went into a confession right away.

He was sitting in the library, focused on a book, when you walked up to him. He looked up and saw you, his eyes instantly lit up, and his ahoge curled.

“Hey S/O! How’s your day been today?” he chirped.

“Pretty good! I have something important to ask you though.”

He marked his page and shut the book, “Oh, what is it? Is everything okay?” he questioned, a nervous expression on his face.

“Well, I couldn’t help overhear Rantaro talking to Kokichi earlier, and he said that a little fair is opening up tonight. I wanna go, but I don’t wanna thrid wheel on their date, do you wanna go on our own date?”

You didn’t know that his pale face could turn that red, but he responded after a bit.

“A-ah sure! That sounds like fun! A date! Wow!” He stuttered out.

“See you at around fiveish?”

“Sure! See you then S/O!”

He brought you a flower when you met up, and if you thought he was red before, that’s in second place now.

You two casually walked around the fair, playing a few games, winning some prizes, riding some rides. You won him one of those big bears, he was so happy.

Then you spotted the Ferris Wheel, and literally nearly took his arm off grabbing it and running over.

You two got on and starting going ‘round. The wheel slowly started to stop and, oh my god, it stopped with you at the top!

You admired the beautiful view of the city around you, not knowing Kiibo was admiring you.

“S/O!” he called

You look at him and saw his face beet red a third time.

“I love you.” he said, immediately hiding behind his bear.

With a smile, you took his hand and said, “I know.”

He was shocked. Not knowing what to do he simply started apologizing.

“Oh! I’m so sorry, please I don’t want this to ruin our friendship! You’re an amazing person, I’m sorry if I ever made you uncomfortable! I don’t know what I was thinking!” He yelped.

You needed to calm him down ASAP. “Kiibo. Kiibo! KIIBO.” you shouted. That last one got him quiet.

“You didn’t let me finish Kiibs! I love you too!”

Once again, he was shocked.

“Yo-you do??!” he exclaimed. “How’d you know I liked you?”

“Your little ahoge! It curls into a little heart when I’m around.”

His hands went to his hair and felt the small heart shape.

“O-oh... I din’t even notice. I thought I was doing a good job hiding it too...”

You laughed. “Well, you don’t have to hide it anymore Kiibs.”

Blushing from the nickname, he finally did what he wanted to do for the past 2 months.

He kissed you.

MAKOTO:

Honestly, out of the three of them, he’d probably be the worst at hiding it.

Because he’s always with you! He loves spending time with you. Hi hair just... betrays him. Nobody knows why it happens, but they all know it only happens around you.

You actually didn’t figure it out yourself, Celeste caved in and told you.

“s/o... there is something I just HAVE to tell you.” She said after lunch one day.

“Oh? What’s up Celeste?”

“I apologize if I ruin the surprise for you, I already have to deal with Mondo and Kiyotaka, but Makoto has taken a certain liking to you.” she said.

You weren’t expecting that. “Huh?? How do you know?”

“Whenever you’re around, that little piece of hair curls up into a little heart. It’s quite adorable actually.”

The more you thought back on it, the more it made sense. Makoto was always smiling so sweetly and blushing profusely whenever you hung out. But you never really thought that he’d like you back. Time to have a talk with him. You texted him to meet him later.

You waited at the designated spot anxiously. What if Celeste was wrong? What if Makoto was just a little shy or something? You quickly knocked that thought out of your head. Celeste’s whole career was based off of reading people’s facial expressions, she can’t be wrong. But isn’t she also called the Queen of Liars? Oh dear...

Makoto arrived shortly afterwards.

“Hey s/o! Sorry I’m late! What’s up?” He said, pointing two finger guns at you.

You couldn’t help but notice the curly heart on top of his head.

“Hey, Celeste told me something, and I wanted to know if it was true or not.”

His face contorted into one of worry. “What’s up?”

“Do you like me?”

It’s almost like you pressed the stutter button.

“Wh-wh-what? No! Th-that’s just crazy I mean wh- h- uhh no way! You’re just my friend!” He sputtered out.

“I like you, Makoto.”

Aaaaaand the off button.

“Really?” He whispered.

“Really. Now do you like me back?” You said with a foreign amount of confidence.

“...Maybe.” He said, twiddling with his thumbs.

You smiled at him. “Then how about we make this hangout our first date?”

Smiling just a bright, he said “That would be awesome, s/o.”

HAJIME:

Gundham and Sonia were going on vacation, and they needed you and your roommate Hajime to watch after the Devas.

“We shall leave for only two nights, but the Dark Devas of Destruction need the highest amount of care to maintain their Earthly form...” Gundham spoke.

“So... in other words, feed them every once and a while?” Hajime asked.

He then got quite the reprimanding from Gundham, at least until Sonia dragged him away, leaving the two of you as the caretakers of the mighty Devas.

“So the sheet they made said that we should feed them once a day, in the evenings, and keep a livestream of classical music playing for them at all times.” You read out.

“What?”

“Hamsters just like classical music I guess, don’t be a hater bro.” You joke, punching his shoulder playfully.

“Hey!” he says, turning away, but you already saw his blush. The little piece of hair on his head curled into a small heart.

“Aww Hajime!! Your ahoge is in the shape of a heart right now! Don’t move, let me get a picture of it!” You shout

“Hey, no!” He protested, straightening it out.

“Come ooooon! You looked so cute!”

“Sh-shut up! I’m going to get the food.” He said with a huff, then left.You decided to set up the livestream. Who knew hamsters liked Mozart?

It was later in the day, and you were still thinking about how cute Hajime looked with his hair curled in a heart. That probably wouldn’t happen again though, you wished you got a picture. You knew Hajime could be a little defensive at times, but you hoped you didn’t hurt his feelings. You always kinda had a crush on him, but you knew you never stood a chance compared to his other friends Nagito and Chiaki. It was only a matter of time before he started dating one of them. Great, now you were sad. Time to go to the kitchen for a quick snack. That’s when you heard talking. It was coming from the living room where the hamsters were. You slowly made your way over there to see Hajime standing by the cage.

“I know you can’t understand me or anything, but it just feels nice to tell someone. I feel like I do a good job hiding it but...” he said. Was he talking to the hamsters? What is he hiding so well?

“Hajime?”

God, you nearly killed the poor guy.

“SHIT- s/o don’t scare me like that.” He shouted.

“Were you talking to the hamsters?”

“No!” he said a little too stubbornly. You noticed his hair curled back into a heart.

“Hajime, what are you hiding? I’m kinda worried about you...”

“I’m not hiding anything! You can go back upstairs. I was just telling the hamsters a little story.” He said. The atmosphere was so tense. You needed to lighten the mood up a little.

“...The little heart’s back!” You said softly.

“Enough about the heart!” he yelled, straightening it out again. Yikes, that didn’t help at all.

“I...I’m sorry s/o I just...” he waved his hand up, “I don’t know. Goodnight.”

And with that he was gone. You wish you hadn’t come down for a snack.

Then you heard a squeak. Then another, and another. The Devas were standing and waving their small paws. You bent down to see them better.

“What’s all this about, you goobers?” You asked in a sing-song voice.

The Devas then made themselves into an arrow shape pointing towards the hallway.

“Huh?” you asked. More squeaking ensued. “Hallway?” No not that. Maga-Z took a stick chew toy and laid it horizontally, then two hamsters got on each side to make a H shape.

“Hajime?” Cheerful squeaks now. The hamsters then moved into a fluffy heart shape.

“Love?” More happy squeaks. Never would you have thought that you’d be trying to communicate with hamsters one day. They then all got up and furiously waved their paws at you.

“Me?” A choir of squeaks. Your mind spun as you put the pieces together.

Hajime loved you.

Is that what he was talking to the Devas about? And the thing he was so good at hiding? Was that why his hair curled up? You thanked the Devas with some treats and headed to Hajime’s room to talk.

You knocked softly on the door and waited for the “Come in.” and opened the door to find Hajime sitting on his bed.

“Hey...” you said after a beat of silence.

“Hey.” he responded. “Look, I’m really really sorry for shouting down there. It was out of line and you were just being playful. I just-” His hair curled up into that perfect heart. “I just really like you, and I don’t know how to act around people I have a crush on.”

So the hamsters were being truthful after all. “I know Hajime.”

“Huh? How? Did you over hear me talking to the hamsters? Oh god that sounded so stupid.” He said, putting his head in his hands.

You laughed at his pain. “The hamsters actually told me, if that makes you feel any better.”

“Really?!” He exclaimed. “That does actually make me feel better.” He got serious again, “So... do you like me back?” he asked nervously.

“I always thought I was out of you league, Hajime. I’ve liked you for a while now.”

He looked at you with big eyes, “Are you serious?”

You giggled, “Yes! And I was very happy when some hamsters told me you did too.”

Both of you sat happily there for a while, until you piped up with a question.

“Can I take that picture of your hair now?”

“Only if I’m kissing you in it.”

SHUICHI:

You were minding your own business when you felt a tiny tap on your shoulder. Turning around, you came face to face with your best friend, Kokichi Ouma.

“Good morning s/o chan!!” he chirped

“Morning Kokichi.”

He frowned. “Hey, at least show some sort of excitement at the sight of me!”

“Why? I hate you.” You responded, smirking.

“Wh-wh... WAAAA!!!! I CAN’T BELIEVE YOU HATE ME!!! I THOUGHT YOU WERE MY FRIEEEEEEEND!” he cried, crocodile tears running down his face.

You chuckled to yourself. You knew it was a joke and that his feelings weren’t actually hurt, but this is what comedy was to you two.

“If I buy you a little treat, would our friendship be salvaged?” You ask.

The crying ceased, “Well... maybe...” He said with a sly smile. “When we got out for lunch today, I have something I need to tell you.” He then skipped, yes, literally skipped away.

“Hey! Just tell me now!!” You shout to no avail, for he shows no signs of stopping, the bastard man.

At twelve, you met him at a local pizza place to chat. You were eager to hear what he had to tell you.

“Soooo... Kokichi...”

“s/o chaaaaaan...” he said

“Tell me!! I’ve been dying to know since this morning!!”

“Ah, the daily drama. I thought you were better than to dive into gossip...”

“I can leave right now and you pay.” You said, crossing your arms in a “I got you.” kinda way.

“Sheesh! Fine I’ll tell you................but are you sure you can believe a liar like me?”

“Kokichi if you don’t tell me I’ll... send Rantaro that video of you falling down the stairs!”

He gasped. “You would NEVER.”

“Oh but I would! At least, if you don’t tell me.”

“Fine! Shuichi has a crush on you.”

Well that was not what you were expecting. At all. You got serious.

“Kokichi if this is a joke, it’s not a funny one.” you said.

“I’m being serious! Do you think I would lie about something like this?” He said just as seriously.

He was right. Kokichi was the only person you trusted with the secret that you liked Shuichi. Although Kokichi loved pranking you, you knew he wouldn’t break your heart as a joke.

“How’d you know?” You ask.

“Oh it’s SO cute, listen to this.” He said “His ahoge curls up into a heart whenever you’re around! I noticed it watching you guys.”

“Wait... you watch us?” you exclaim.

“Well I gotta make sure my bestie has the best!” He says.

“Whatever. So if I tell him I like him...”

“He’ll say he likes you back!”

Looks like you gotta talk to him about this

After lunch, you got a text from Shuichi

dumb bitch named shu: Hey s/o!! Are you free at 3:30 today?

You: yeah, sumthin up??

dumb bitch named shu: I wanted to go to that new froyo place with you!! I heard they have blackberry froyo!! You know that’s my favorite!!!

You smiled to yourself, he’s so adorable. And then would be the perfect time to confess.

You: sounds dope!!!! see ya then dude.

You quickly texted Kokichi

You: SHUICHI JUST ASKED ME OUT

It was 3:28. You were nervously standing outside of the froyo place when Shuichi gently tapped your shoulder.

“Hey s/o! Sorry if I kept you waiting for too long...” he said. You noticed that his ahoge was curled curled up.

“You didn’t, don’t worry! Let’s go in before the blackberry is all gone!”

As you sat with your cookies n’ creme and Shuichi with his blackberry, you looked around and spotted Kokichi and Rantaro. You would’ve waved, but Kokichi was too busy oogling over Rantaro. So much for looking out.

“Uhh... s/o?” Shuichi timidly asked. “There’s something I wanted to tell you...”

Here it is...

“I really like you...”

So Kokichi was telling the truth. You sat there in silence for a few beats, still somewhat in shock. Shuichi tensed up.

“I-I-I um, knew that I liked you for a while, I just...” he trailed off. Then he started talking. Talking and talking but you didn’t hear a word. You were transfixed on his ahoge. The small heart, how had you not noticed it before? Were you too busy staring at Shuichi’s face? His deep eyes with impeccable eyeliner? His pale skin? His soft lips? He truly was beautiful.

“S/o?” He said, snapping you out of your mind. “Will you go out with me?”

You smiled back at him, “I thought you’d never ask, Shu!”

“What? ReallY? He said, a huge smile appearing on his face.

“Yeah! I knew you liked me, dummy! I was waiting for you to ask me!” You lied, deciding not to tell him Kokichi told on him.

“I- that’s-okay! When can we go on our next date?” He said.

“How about this Saturday at noon? We can go for coffee and pastries!”

“That sounds awesome s/o.”

Do you have any real happy moments from any of your main AUs?

Mahiru sends the first photo albums out after the first year and there are scenes of everyone flipping through them and… it's happiness. It's Sakura and Hina's wedding. It’s Gundham and Ibuki being Gundham and Ibuki. It’s a picture of Nekomaru and Akane messing with Miu’s hair. (Miu is in her undercut phase. It's not working out too well but that's okay.). It’s Kokichi sprawled out on the couch in a Fortnite shirt and gym shorts, laying on as many people as possible.

It’s Taka and Mondo dancing in their kitchen. It’s Junko making Mukuro give her a piggyback ride. It’s Hiroko’s girls in the kitchen together. It’s Himiko and Tenko and Toko laughing together in Toko’s living room, and Himiko’s giggling with Tenko next to her, Toko’s snort-laughing but she doesn’t care. It’s Ryoma crying over a kitten. It’s Nagito, Chiaki and Hajime with their arms around each other, just beaming. There's a whole page of Mikan and Kazuya in their house, and then there's one slightly blurry one of Mahiru in a garden that's a distinctly different style than the others. Mikan took that one.

There’s a picture of Leon and Gonta in school, and Leon has his feet up on the desk and he’s shooting spitballs at Gonta. Gonta’s just sitting politely with his books stacked neatly. There's like seven of them stuck to his wing housing and he's just neatly highlighting things. There’s a picture of Hiyoko and Yuta on a “date” that’s just a date. There are pictures of Hiyoko and her dad.

There's a picture of Teruteru fishing for some reason. Through the lens, he looks like himself. Why is he fishing though.

There’s a picture of Tsumugi sewing stuff for her Etsy shop. A picture of Mukuro and Kyoko on a date at a fancy restaurant, and Mukuro’s outfit is godawful. A picture of Kyoko, Makoto and Byakuya leaning on each other.

A picture of Kaito falling off a roof and into a pool (he was going to do a cool trick, but he slipped. He’s okay, Maki healed him. "Stop MOVING you broke your foot." "I’m FIIINE!"). There’s a picture of Hifumi and Kirumi sitting at the table and Celestia doing the dishes, and they’re all smiling. There’s a picture of Tenko tackling Kaito for saying something rude.

A picture of Kiibo and Miu being adorable (Kiibo is wearing Miu’s sweatshirt that says “Hot Stuff” on it.).

After the first year of photo albums, they all start sending their own pictures in too, so it’s not just Mahiru’s. There’s Ibuki’s blurry phone selfies, a picture she and Peko took when they were waking up, Gundham doing a silly pose, Kazuichi falling over or something. You’ve got Himiko’s pictures that she takes when she’s lying on the couch so they’re from a lower angle. Hiyoko just sends in a bunch of selfies. Yuta is in some of them they're on a "date". They're at the top of the ferris wheel and he's kissing her cheek and she’s rolling her eyes and it's like. A "date". Makoto sends in a funny one of Byakuya where he's in the middle of talking. He’s saying "Tell them Naegi" about like not wanting pickles. There’s a picture of Mondo and Kirumi, and they look so happy and relaxed.

Hiyoko and Yuta get married at like 22 for the gift registry. Everyone's like not sure whether to attend or not, except, like, Chihiro. Chihiro is HYPED. Also Hiroyuki and Taichi are definitely going to be there. And Hina and Sakura. And Gundham and Ibuki. And Komaru. Actually, there are quite a few people who are excited (or mostly excited) to be there. Hiroyuki is like “So maybe it's just for the gifts but she's happy.”. Ibuki thinks it’s hilarious. “PEKO BABE WHY DIDN'T WE THINK ABOUT DOING THIS BEFORE”. Hiroko’s girls all go and sit together. There's an actual semi emotional speech from Hiyoko and they Actually Kiss and then everyone's like. Wow huh they were dating. And then Yuta yells sike and everyone's like you're literally married now you can stop. "SIKE" "..You're holding your wife's hand.". Ibuki starts laughing so hard she loves her little sister so much. Ibuki, Gundham, Chihiro and Hiroyuki help Hiyoko get ready beforehand. Sakura, Hina and Komaru help Yuta get ready. They’re both legitimately nervous about it. It's about the hiyoko commitment issues partially. If she's not actually involved with Yuta, he can't get hurt.

At the end of the reception, Ibuki says something to Hiyoko along the lines of "Yuta really cares about you, you know. He wouldn't have done this for so long if he didn't.". "What do you mean, it's a joke! It's so funny!" "People don't offer to marry you as a joke, Hiyoko." and they both look over at Yuta who's talking with Komaru and laughing and he sees them looking and looks over and just beams. He loves his wife! He has the whole time! And if Hiyoko wanted it to be a joke, Yuta was fine with that, because he could still be with her in some way. And Hiyoko doesn't WANT to feel love but her heart swells when Yuta smiles at her just. So full of joy.

At night, when they're alone, Hiyoko just says something like "If I wanted to do this for real, what would you say?". She's not even looking at him. "I would say that if that's what you wanted to do, I would be down.". And then he pulls her into the biggest hug. Sometimes you realize you love your husband after you marry him and that's okay. The next day Hiyoko's frantically texting her groupchat with Gundham and Ibuki like "OH MY GOD I LIKED HIM FOR REAL IT WASN'T A PRANK". Gundham is like yes I'm aware. Gundham Knew. He’s got the brother senses.

Nekomaru would be so affectionate with Angie to make up for the fact that she didn’t feel like she was able to touch people for so long. He and Tenko both go out of their way to do stuff like that. Tenko's always holding her hand. Nekomaru's messing with her hair, patting her on the back (and of course he gives the best hugs). Angie was so scared to touch Nekomaru the first time, what if it was a fluke what if this time she DOES turn him gold but just. He doesn't and she's so happy she could cry.

Some Danganronpa spoilers ahead for the entire franchise so please don't read if you don't want spoilers, serious topics will be discussed

Ok so a while back me and a discord friend had this au-ish idea where the entirety of danganronpa is just Tsumugi's trauma fanfiction based off of people she knows irl and online as a way to cope because she was abused and neglected at home

These are the main details of the au under the cut, there will be no in depth details about the abuse but it is mentioned, I sincerely apologize if I inaccurately portray these issues just in case I did

Tsumugi cosplays at home and that's why she calls herself the ultimate cosplayer, and she makes herself the mastermind because she likes being the villain to cope with her trauma

All the characters from dr1 and sdr2 and the dr3 anime are all based off of people online that she looks up to (or despises in some cases), and characters with alternate versions of themselves are the combinations of their siblings (ex. Toko and Syo are twins and Izuru, Hajime, and super saiyan Hajime are triplets), with the exception of Junko who is an actress who mainly plays villains but irl is really sweet

Monokuma is Tsumugi's homeroom teacher who occasionally lets his sister substitute and the monokubs are his young children that Tsumugi really hates, he's also Junko and Mukuro's uncle and he and Tsumugi have a father-daughter relationship

Junko helps Tsumugi with her cosplays and makeup which is why Tsumugi idolizes her so much and wants to be like her

A lot of the poor writing in dr is due to Tsumugi not having the proper writing experience or knowledge on certain subjects which is why they come off so poorly

The Love Hotel scenes are Tsumugi trying to work through her own sexuality crisis alone (albeit poorly), and her own LH scene is her projecting what she believes is the only relationship she'd ever be loved in even if it's really messed up

All of the blackened and antagonistic characters in dr are people Tsumugi either hates or fears, and those with redeeming motives are the ones Tsumugi fears but recognizes that they are good people

Most characters in dr are cosplayers irl, streamers/youtubers, or social media influencers, aside from in v3 where everyone is a classmate of hers

The survivors of v3 are Tsumugi's irl friends, and the survivors of the prior games just came down to process of elimination mixed with who she liked

Her insistence of being "plain" in the games is because her parents always called her useless, and a part of the reason she hates Monokuma's kids is because she envies them for having the happy childhood she never had

She made monokuma the mascot because he’s known for his brutal punishments to kids who severely break school rules

All of the backstories for the dr1 and sdr2 characters are based off of one of the following: their main cosplay, their favorite game that they’ve played, or their aesthetic on their main social media account

Tsumugi works a lot of part time jobs to pay for her cosplays and her clothes and food

At some point Tsumugi posted her trauma/vent fanfics online under a different pen name and renaming all of the characters so they couldn’t be tracked (each of the games and the anime were posted as their separate fanfics and each chapter in the games is a chapter in the fanfic) and the fanfic blew up super fast, which she didn’t expect, and then people started cosplaying it for the irony and when she’s asked about if she’ll cosplay from it she says she’s not in it for the irony, she also got jaw-dropped when the cosplayers she turned into some of the characters from dr1 and sdr2 started cosplaying from it

One time Kokichi found her fanfic for v3 and commented about how his character seemed super familiar and she responded “no reason :)” and blocked him because his username was super obvious, he soon makes confused posts about it on tiktok

Eventually during Tsumugi’s 3rd year she reposted all of the fanfics but with much better writing and character arcs because she took online writing classes and the internet BLEW UP EVEN HARDER and so many people geeked out over it

Eventually Tsumugi tells her close friends about how she wrote the fics but it accidentally gets out to the whole class and when anyone tries to bully her about it all of her friends fight the bullies

The Love Hotel scenes were completely separate fanfics she impulsively wrote and posted at 3am when her sexuality crisis hit too hard, even she hates them and deleted them a year after they were posted because she just can’t believe she wrote them, let alone post them, and never rewrote them

The following are her relationships with the characters in V3 since she has no real relationships with the characters in dr1 and sdr2

All of the character’s ultimates are in fact based on actual skills they each have, and if they don’t have a distinct skill Tsumugi deep dives and tries to think of one, Junko was mostly inspired by her ability to analyze super well, which helped with her makeup ability, and because she played villain characters who caused despair

Edit: forgot to mention, but when Tsumugi kills her self insert at the end of v3, it's her essentially venting out how if all the important people in her life leave her she has nothing to live for anymore

Shuichi: They met after being some of the few kids in class who had nowhere to sit during lunch so they sat next to each other, after talking some more and realizing they had a lot in common, they became really close and he would sometimes cosplay with her, he also has a crush on Kaede even though it’s only from afar due to his social anxiety, Tsumugi however feels as though she’s a burden to him which is why she has him hate her in the last trial, when she told him she wrote the fanfic he constantly reassured her that she’s not a burden and was super embarrassed that he was made the protag after kaede, though he did find pregame him a bit odd

Himiko: Himiko is also an outsider due to her depression and general tired personality, she’s one of the few people who don’t judge Tsumugi for her cosplaying and anime interests and they’re both in anime club and will occasionally cosplay together, she was the one who accidentally let it slip about the fanfic thing but Tsumugi couldn’t bring herself to be mad

Maki: Another outsider but on purpose, she met Tsumugi after she found Tsumugi getting bullied and pushed around by some older kids, and afterwards she hung around Tsumugi to protect her and they eventually got pretty close even though Maki is generally socially dead, she also helps get Tsumugi food when Tsumugi’s parents are too neglectful to feed her, she also is the main protector of Tsumugi from her bullies, before and after the fic

Kiibo: An exchange student from being homeschooled, he and Tsumugi used to be pretty close, he was pretty famous on social media so sometimes they would go and do influencer stuff together and he’d cosplay with her, eventually he started dating Miu and they got a bit more distant due to Tsumugi not being a big fan of Miu, but they have no harsh feelings towards each other, even though Tsumugi thinks he hates her, he’s also a top student, he was a little weirded out by how both he and Miu were portrayed in the original fic but after talking it out with Tsumugi he let it slide and they talk more often because of that

Kaede: She met Kaede in secondary school and they got fairly close up until Kaede met Rantaro, after they met Kaede started hanging out with him more (romantic or platonic is up for interpretation) and Tsumugi was really hurt and jealous which is why she has Kaede kill Rantaro, she and Tsumugi reignited a relationship after the fanfic thing came out because she was super concerned about how Tsumugi was doing since you don’t just write that stuff without having some sort of trauma, they became closer afterwards and told Tsumugi she was flattered she was made into such a nice girl but also kinda freaked out that Tsumugi technically killed her but they also talked that out, she didn’t hold pregame Kaede against her because Kaede did in fact act like that when she was younger

Rantaro: Him and Tsumugi knew each other in middle school but didn’t like each other, she envied him because of how easy of a time he had making friends, and later on hated him for “stealing” Kaede from her, he is on ok terms with Tsumugi after the fanfic incident because Kaede and Tsumugi reignited a friendship and they tolerate each other

Kirumi: Tsumugi fears and looks up to Kirumi, as Kirumi is head of the student council and class rep but also very strict, one time Tsumugi got pushed down before school and was forced to come with a dirty uniform and Kirumi ripped into her for it and made her cry (although Kirumi quickly apologized and tried to comfort her but the trauma already set in), after she learned about the fic she talked to Tsumugi and gave her a singular pass for it because she did a fairly good job capturing Kirumi’s determination and sophistication

Ryoma: She’s never talked to Ryoma personally but she knows he has a criminal record for some minor crime and that scares her alongside how he one time suplexed a student three times his size after the student tried to pick on him for being short

Korekiyo: He freaks her out and she really hates his sister, and one time he psychoanalyzed her and it hit way too close to home so now she both doesn’t like him and respects him, which is why she just has his sister be the motive/his abuser because she full on just hates her cause she’s a “normie” who made fun of her one time in public, after he learned about the fic he tried to talk to her about the original version of the v3 fic to talk it through because he knew about her issues and now they’re on good terms

Angie: Funny enough she just is way too afraid to talk to Angie because she is a foreign exchange student and Tsumugi was really confused by her religion which is why it’s handled so poorly and why Angie is so focused on Atua, Angie also is super confident in herself and extroverted and that intimidated Tsumugi so much she just never talked to her, after the fic Angie sat her down and educated her on the details of her religion so Tsumugi could fix any accidental misconceptions about the religion and culture

Tenko: With Tsumugi’s constant sexuality crisis, she also has internalized homophobia which is why Tenko, an open women lover, scares her so much, Tsumugi can’t comprehend it so she made Tenko really creepy and oddly violent towards men even though the actual Tenko only beats up men who harass her or other women and not just every single man, she’s also really nice to Himiko and because Tsumugi fears Tenko she warped it

Miu: Miu is also a woman confident in her sexuality, she just comes off a lot more strongly than Tenko and is even more intimidating to Tsumugi, Tsumugi also thinks she’s gross because she’s open about her kinks and her gross ways of making sure she’s healthy, after she and Kiibo started dating she started to resent Miu, but regardless of this she still acknowledges that Miu is a top student, she only really likes Miu because she and Kokichi hate each other, but after it got out that Tsumugi wrote the fic Miu tried to pick on her but Maki scared her off

Gonta: She really loves Gonta and at some point had a crush on him, but he turned her down after Kokichi spread rumors that she was afraid of bugs and Gonta didn’t want to freak her out due to the fact he lives in an area full of bugs and has a few pet bugs, she has no harsh feelings towards him however and still likes him, though not as a crush, Gonta was still super nice to her after the fic thing and doesn’t think any less of her

Kokichi: She absolutely despises him and everything he does, they’ve known each other since they were kids and he’s always picked on her, though to him he’s only friendly teasing and thinks they have a friendly rivalry, he does everything out of childish amusement and doesn’t actually think he’s doing any harm to her even though she actively hates him and has gotten punched on several occasions by Maki for teasing Tsumugi too much, he also is purposely controversial online and has tried to be cancelled way too many times but somehow finds a way to find dirt on the people cancelling him and now everyone is too scared to cancel him, he also “bullies” cosplayers on tiktok by dueting them and mocking them but to him it’s ironic but to everyone else it isn’t, he has done this to Tsumugi on multiple occasions and she hates it, he tried to tease her about writing the fic and blocking him but Maki punches him in the throat, he makes a tiktok about that as well but keeps her identity a secret

Kaito: He became Maki’s boyfriend sometime after she met Maki and, in his stupidity, accidentally insulted Tsumugi’s comfort cosplay and she hated him after that, his death and illness was inspired by the one time he got the flu and gave it to everyone and it ruined one of her wigs, after a while they began talking more and she began to realize he wasn’t a jerk, just really stupid, so she made him a nicer character, after it got out that she wrote the fanfics she asked if he was mad he died but instead he was like “nah man that was a super cool way to go”, he was confused on pregame Kaito until Tsumugi explained that that’s how she used to see him

the cameras... she remembered kaede mentioning a plan when fumiko had helped gather the devices from the warehouse. she was also reminded of the way she felt upset at the time, disturbed that he was actively hiding something from her. fumiko felt guilty for not trusting in shuichi earlier, maybe, somehow, if she hadn’t hesitated to trust him, this wouldn’t have happened. she was aware of how unlikely that was, but it didn’t stop her from feeling guilty. her eyebrows turned slightly downward as she turned her head to now face the robot who was rushing her out of the room.

once they were out, he stopped and faced her, “how are you feeling? i... i didn’t get a chance to ask you before kaito...”

she nodded, her expression softening, “i feel a little dizzy— but it’s not that bad!” fumiko quickly assured when she saw the concern on his face. “i’m alr- HUh?!” she was cut off by the boy hugging her, something she hadn’t expected.

“when i was away from you i felt... fear. it’s difficult for me to understand why you don’t look out for yourself more, it’s as if you’re purposely putting yourself in danger.”

she instinctually returned the gesture, confused as to how she had put herself in danger. “i-i’m sorry, i- um... i’ll try being more careful...?”

taking her words at face value, he pulled away, smiling, before he continued walking with the girl down the hall. “good... alright, so when you were out here with... nevermind that— i gathered some information from kaede. she told me that she and shuichi had been keeping lookout from a classroom upstairs, and something inside of me tells me that it’s a good place to start.” she nodded slowly, wondering what they were doing in there. was it part of the plan?

kiibo opened the door for fumiko and both of them let out a yelp when they were greeted with a tall, slender man standing in the middle of the room.

“oh? i see, you two must’ve been drawn to this room as well.” korekiyo stated, noticing their hesitation to enter, “there’s no need to fear. i am aware that my appearance might lead one to believe that i would commit murder, but that is not the case.”

fumiko remembered back to when he’d prevented her fall, one that definitely would’ve injured her badly. they were alone before tenko arrived, and he could’ve easily taken advantage of that situation. she decided to believe him, for now, walking into the room, kiibo following behind her.

the three of them looked around the room, unsure if there was a point in coming her in the first place. fumiko was about ready to leave before kiibo grabbed her hand and brought her to a vent.

“this, here... i believe it is connected to the library. perhaps the culprit entered the library like that, and crawled back out when the two left this room...?” fumiko nodded slowly as she tapped her chin, c’mon, think like shuichi!

if shuichi was a huge dumbass, that means she succeeded.

fumiko dropped to the floor and opened the vent before crawling into it. detectives have to see things from the culprit’s point of view, right? yeah! someone’s probably said that before!

“f-fumiko!” the robot’s eyes shot wide in panic, running behind her to pull her by her legs.

“h-hey...! i’m wearing a dress... that- that’s weird!”

“w-well it’s necessary, get- get out of there! you’re going to get hurt!”

“no, i’m shuichi!” she didn’t realize how stupid she sounded since that was her mindset and reasoning for doing this at all. korekiyo observed them quietly. his eyes moved to the door when he saw it open once again, though.

Tenko had actually followed the pair beforehand, finding it suspicious that Fumiko had been left with none other than a... male? Robot male?

Even so! Fumiko would be better off investigating with a very capable female woman such as Tenko, herself, rather than a creepy stick-bug and a gender-undefined robot!(nothing against gender-undefined robots)

"Hey! What are you two doing to poor Fumiko!? Looking up her skirt!?" Tenko was revolted, no, perhaps that'd be an understatement for how she felt. Not short of a split second, a blue flash passed them both by, and before they knew it — "Hiiiiiyah!" — they had been kicked three meters away from the girl who had crawled into the vent.

Now, she swears that her intentions were purely good, but it seemed intentions weren't enough to save Fumiko, as Tenko's 'intentions' accidentally nudged Fumiko down the vent with her hip as she made the mistake of sprinting over to her; causing Fumiko to —

*sad slide whistle noise*

"Fumiko—! Nooooo! Oh god! Oh god, what did I-" Tenko felt dread wash over her as she saw the poor girl slide all the way down, she, unfortunately, seemed to fit inside like a puzzle piece, considering her small build.

K1B0 finished her sentence for her as he finally got up, "What did you do!?" "I- I didn't mean to!" Tenko had almost been close to tears, she didn't know where the other end of the vent was, what if Fumiko got hurt? Or worse, what if she—

Before another worrying thought could curdle and form in Tenko's head, K1B0 had already sped down into the library; fortunately, thanks to his photographic memory, he knew exactly where the vent was.

The library.

This was funny because Shuichi had been unsuspectingly investigating Rantaro's body, conveniently right underneath where right underneath the book pathway to the end of the vent from the classroom.

I think you know where this is going.

He looked up as he heard Tenko's loud cry echo out from somewhere he couldn't quite place, and it was almost as if it was déjà vu for Tsumigi as the scene almost replayed exactly how it was for Rantaro, except, the ball was... A human being. And Rantaro was Shuichi.

K1B0 had been a second too late, he concluded as soon as he saw Fumiko sliding down the books, no stop in sight. You would think she would've at least been able to grab the books and stop halfway but,

No.

Kaede only watched with dreadful eyes as her plan had practically played out in front of her, except the ball, as mentioned earlier, was Fumiko. It was horrifying to see her plan in action, god, she hoped she would never have to witness this.

Sadly, Kaede's eyes had been a second too late to realize Shuichi had been panicking, yet unusually calm as he heard the books shuffling above him. Panicking because, 'What the hell is that noise?' and calm because, 'Maybe I'll find out more if I stay here!'

So yes, Shuichi stood there looking up

K1B0 panicked at his spot, unsure whether to tell the detective to move out of the way or to catch Fumiko. Either way, someone would get hurt, most likely; both of them. But K1B0 didn't exactly care whether Shuichi got hurt, so —

"Shuichi, open your arms and aim up!" It was an idiotic thing to say, truly. Especially with no context. But it wasn't as if K1B0 had enough time to say anything else, his calculations told him if he hadn't said that, Fumiko's chances of getting hurt(if she wasn't already), would rise. And her safety was his priority. Even if it was in the hands of a timid, and quite frankly, useless detective.

Shuichi, stunned, did as he told without another thought, the loud, booming voice of the robot scaring him straight into obedience. "Wh- O-okay? Okay."

Regarding Miu’s actions in Ch4- I’ve seen her criticized for coming up with a murder plan despite having the inventions Kokichi was working on with her and that it made no sense for her to turn like that but I personally think Ch3 actually was a really important shift that pushed her into that state of desperation. And while we are limited to Shuichi’s perspective and can’t really know for sure, here’s some reasons I think Miu’s actions in CH4 make sense to her character (and don’t make her bad or stupid- just flawed and scared).

1. the student council’s impact- Angie’s council shifted the dynamic of the students significantly. Not only did it divide the group in half it also highlighted a very important issue that would plague any plan to work together. Everyone did not want the same thing. Angie’s group was completely content to just stay in the school, accept their life being trapped forever. Miu did NOT want that at all. And regardless of how great her inventions are, they have limits and would require a concentrated group effort (there are still 2 exisal’s in operation at the time and Miu more than likely recognized how impressive the technology being used against them was and that it would not be an easy feat to just knock them out). And seeing just how easily a schism formed in the group would definitely shake any confidence in a plan that more than likely RELIED on them all working together and trusting one another. Something that was put into doubt when the student council started imposing rules on the others like not being out at nighttime. Gonta even closed up the “exit”. Miu was a distrustful person and did not really have that great of bonds with the other students to begin with so this would absolutely make her lose faith in any plan working. You could argue that Miu believed in the ability of the group to cooperate far less than Kokichi did and the events of these few days only solidified her belief that it was a lost cause.

2. tenko+angie’s murder- While Miu is not always the most astute person in trials and tends to jump to conclusions (even if they are hilariously right on), she is still intelligent enough to most likely realize just how CLOSE things got in chapter 3. While Kirumi’s murder was very complicated and Kaede’s relied on Shuichi calling her out, Korekiyo got extremely close to getting away with it. Tenko’s murder relied on Kiibo’s photo function and Kokichi falling through the floorboard to even ensure they would be able to pin it on him (even if that one seemed more obvious). And Angie’s murder... hinged on a tiny clue that they only found based on the 1/3 chance they even picked that room. Seeing a person dead, having another one murdered brazenly in front of 3 other people, and finding out one of the people who was on “your side” of the whole student council debacle... is pretty heavy and it’s no surprise that it would freak Miu out. The first two murders could be rationalized or understood to some extent. These however are much more shocking and cruel and a major escalation of the killing game that of course shook everyone up. Shuichi’s narration says everyone cried with Himiko after so while we can’t know what Miu was feeling because we only see through Shuichi’s eyes- it makes sense that Miu was also very shaken up. Not because she had any real connection to Angie, Tenko, or Kiyo (she didn’t- Miu is actually quite callous about the others deaths) but more because it probably scared her into thinking the only way to beat the game was to play by its rules and get out herself before she was the next victim.

Chapter 3 is a huge shakeup in the dynamic of the cast and the game that pushes it into the second half. Lots of people write off its significance because of the whole Kiyo reveal and the wasted potential of the second murder rule but CH3 shook up the entire dynamic. Maki started participating in investigating, Himiko begins to take things seriously. Gonta grows more frustrated at his inability to protect people. Kaito is getting sick and unable to even pretend he’s helping likely is starting to feel inferior and not like the hero. And while you can’t know with Kokichi- the fact he is constantly around and not doing his own thing suggests the motive and current environment also had him a bit lost. And same with Miu who relies on her inventions- the whole supernatural vibes of CH3 put her very out of her element.

3. killing game simulator- Miu is not a strong-willed person. She bends easily when pushed, that’s her whole thing. So when the game pushed back against her resolve, guess what was conveniently there. While you can’t really know for sure how much was carefully orchestrated by Tsumugi and how much came down to chance- there is no denying the motives for murder were planted for specific people. The ritual was set in place for Kiyo and the computer was set there for Miu- the only person who would be able to understand it. So having it right there when the game started to get crazy- of course the idea would come to mind that she could use it for her own benefit. That she could achieve the perfect murder that almost happened in Ch3 and she could escape before things got worse. And just like Kokichi told Kaede, the moment she entertained the idea of murder- she was playing Monokuma’s game. She had already lost. And Kokichi is an obvious target. She had the relationship with him from the inventions that could get them alone together and she was aware how intelligent he was so he would be a real threat in her using the virtual world to cover up her crimes.

4. the outside world- Kokichi taking the key card at the beginning of CH4 and telling no one whats on it likely pushed her even more. She wants to know whats out there and to make her impact on the world. And him likely being extremely squirrelly about it would only fuel her paranoia and ruin any partnership they had (since Kaito noticed Kokichi was acting weird it only makes sense that Miu would also recognize the shift in the way he acts after seeing the outside world- plus he likely used her inventions to get there so that would only add to her suspicion of him). So the partnership that was likely already full of suspicion only got worse at the opening of the chapter. And while we can’t know for sure I imagine the idea of the program was planted in CH3 but the plan and determination solidified quickly after the trial and exploration amped up her paranoia (she acts very erratically at the beginning of chapter 4 and seems very panicked).

And while this isn’t related to why I think her mindset makes sense in CH4 and how CH3 fueled her desperation to get out but I also don’t think she could have just been stopped. While how Kokichi reacted and sacrificed her and Gonta as a countermeasure- I don’t think there was some magical easier solution that would have stopped her. If Kokichi had told, no one would have believed him and it could have ruined any chance of cohesion and cause more murders. If he had refused to go in, she could have likely shifted her target and changed someone else’s avatar settings. And if he had just died or murdered her... the two people with the knowledge of her inventions would have been gone and the game would have likely carried on. And when the outside world reveal eventually did happen... Gonta could have very likely still tried to end it all for everyone to protect them from that awful reality. It’s an extremely messed up situation regardless and really interesting to think about but I do think the impact of CH3 gets overlooked in the motivations of Miu, Gonta, and Kokichi in CH4. And I also think it’s super important to not overlook Miu’s and Gonta’s roles and motivations either

fave dr ships and why?? :0

Hmm, that’s a pretty fun question! There are so many fun character interactions in each game that there’s a lot of ships I really like, so I’ll try to briefly just touch on some of my favorites in each game!

There aren’t really any spoilers in my reply, but I’m going to include a read-more anyway because even trying to keep it brief, there were a lot of ships to cover, so it still got pretty long.

In dr1, I honestly really love naegiri. Naegi gets a lot of flack for “not being interesting enough” or “not bringing anything to the table,” but I think he worked really well as the protagonist for the first installment of the series, and I absolutely think he and Kirigiri have a lot of great chemistry. Kirigiri and Naegi’s relationship is all about finding a balance between doubt and belief, and both of them really help each other grow as people. I think their dynamic is at its best in the first game, since Kirigiri gets so much time to shine and really feels more like the deuteragonist of the series than anyone else. Plus watching Naegi try to learn how to read her stoic façade when she’s really quite emotional under the surface is so much fun.

I’m also a huge fan of aoisakura. I love everything about their interaction, and chapter 4 of dr1 is still one of the best in the whole series in my opinion. Both of them care so much about each other even from early on, and Aoi’s anger at how the others treat Sakura or talk about her like she’s hardly even a person comes across as so legitimate. It’s such a great and largely underrated ship, so I always love to see it.

I also have to say that I like kirizono quite a lot! They don’t have much in the way of interaction in canon, considering how early Maizono dies, but it’s one of those ships where I’m much more interested in the overall potential. Kirigiri seems to have a very good grasp of what Maizono was actually like as a person and what she might have been thinking in her final moments. While she uncovers the truth of the events of chapter 1, she doesn’t see Maizono as irredeemable for tricking Naegi, but merely as someone who was scared and who ultimately couldn’t go through with her own plan. She knew that Maizono was trying to help Naegi in her own way by leaving him a dying message, and I would have loved to see a detective-and-assistant duo with Kirigiri and Maizono in some alternate universe.

Other ships from dr1 that I enjoy even if I’m not super invested in them from an analysis standpoint are celesgiri (how could I not ship the original liar and detective), naekusaba (DR IF really sold me on this one), ishimondo (all around a solid, great ship), and naegami (honestly I just think the idea of Kirigiri and Togami both dating Naegi but barely tolerating each other as friends is really funny).

Sdr2 is probably the game where I wound up the least invested in shipping, but there are still a few that I like!

Hinanami isn’t quite as appealing to me as naegiri, mostly due to Nanami being used twice for Hinata’s character development, but they have some really cute moments that I do enjoy a lot, and I really love any interaction between the two of them as gamer friends. Nanami is so much more mischievous than most people give her credit for; I still can’t help remembering when I replayed sdr2 a year or two ago and got to the part with her threatening to poke Hinata’s eyes out during an investigation, and I nearly lost my shit because I didn’t remember it at all from previous playthroughs.

I’m not quite as invested in komahina as I thought I would be when I first got into DR, but I definitely don’t mind it either! I think Komaeda’s feelings for Hinata are pretty textual and undeniable; lines like “I’m in love with the hope that’s sleeping inside you” are impossible, in my opinion, to handwave as “just a friend thing,” and Megumi Ogata has all but stated outright that her character song for Komaeda is specifically about Hinata.

Of course, I definitely think Komaeda would need to work on a lot of his internalized ideas about talent and self-worth, and that he and Hinata would have to start as friends first before carrying their relationship into anything romantic, but if their really cute interation in ndrv3’s talent development plan is anything to go off of, I think Hinata definitely does want to help Komaeda value himself more and wants to be friends with him.

As for other ships that I enjoy more casually, I like twobuki (if that’s even what people are still calling Twogami/Impostor and Ibuki as a ship), sondam (all of Sonia’s nerding out about Gundam’s chuunibyou interests is honestly super adorable), nanamiki (I feel like Nanami and Mikan could honestly have a cute dynamic if Mikan weren’t under Junko’s influence), and… I actually have no idea for this ship name, but Impostor/Hinata is really sweet. This is more related to dr3, but one of the few things I did come out feeling positively about was Impostor/Mitarai, despite everything else about how the story turned out.

Finally, there’s ndrv3! There’s quite a lot of ships I really love here, so it’s actually a little hard to narrow it down.

I hardly think I need to mention saiouma at this point, since it’s the ship I talk about the most on this blog, but it’s still my favorite ship from pretty much anything ever. I love their dynamic so much: the way they both embody the themes of “truth” and “lies” within the game respectively, the way they constantly want to know more about each other while being afraid to open up or trust each other completely, and the fact that they so perfectly manage to capture the chase of the “phantom thief vs. detective” trope to the point that it was even lampshaded in Ouma’s love hotel... all of these things just make it so much fun.

It’s another ship where I just love thinking about the potential, whether in an AU where Ouma might have lived or else where the killing game never took place at all. I honestly really love ships that deal with a lot of slow-burn and both characters thinking their affections are unrequited when it turns out they’re actually both just idiots with a bad case of pining. I also really love the fact that, in my opinion, it’s a ship where Saihara would have to really take the initiative in the end—otherwise, Ouma is just going to keep trying to run away every time he drops an “I love you,” or “you’re my favorite.”

I also really, really love himiten. It’s a ship that gets a lot more flack than it deserves, in my opinion, and it’s sad to see that it’s a little underappreciated these days. There are flaws and problems within the ship, of course, but these are things that are actually addressed within the game itself. Himiko’s apathy and disregard towards Tenko’s feelings is called out pretty bluntly in the later parts of chapter 3, and she winds up mourning Tenko’s death and taking her last advice to heart more than anyone else.

Meanwhile, while Tenko certainly meant well and always had Himiko’s best interests at heart, it’s true that she came across as somewhat condescending sometimes (albeit unintentionally) by treating Himiko like a cute animal instead of a person. I think that she understood Himiko’s feelings a lot better by chapter 3, which is why she prioritized trying to let Himiko talk to Angie one more time despite her own misgivings about Angie. Tenko grew a lot more as a character than a lot of people give her credit for, and I would have loved to see any post-game scenario where Himiko and Tenko could’ve finally started a relationship on equal footing outside of the game.

I actually have two entire ships for Miu that I am equally fond of. Both kiiruma and irumatsu are really great in my opinion, in totally different ways. The sheer chaotic potential of kiiruma gets overlooked a lot of times, I think, but both of them are complete disasters. They have so much fun together and it really shows, both in canon and in the talent development plan as well. Kiibo is so wonderful and I love him so much, because you’d think he’d be the voice of reason as a “cold, logical robot”—but honestly, he’s just as messed-up and over the top as Miu. I mean, he did photograph her poop on what turned out to be a live audience national broadcast and he didn’t see anything wrong with this.

Kiibo is one of the few characters who vocally talks about missing Miu after her death in chapter 4, and he repeatedly tells her how much he appreciates her maintenance work on him both in canon and in one of their talent development scenes. In one such scene, he even mentions wanting to continue their ongoing relationship after they graduate, which I think is surprisingly sweet and adorable for the two of them. Honestly, Miu is about as wild as a DR character ever gets, and I love the idea of her and Kiibo just having fun with each other.

Meanwhile, Kaede and Miu’s dynamic is a lot more back-and-forth. Kaede spends a good part of her FTEs absolutely frustrated and fed up with Miu, but also decidedly worried for her well-being and wondering how she might get her to be more of a team player. She’s not afraid to put her foot down when Miu crosses the line, but she’s also one of the few people who’s ever been willing to stand by Miu and encourage her or actually be her friend in spite of how awful Miu is at interacting with others.

Even in the talent development plan, Kaede’s often seen together with Miu a lot, which I think is super cute and confirms that even at Hope’s Peak, she’d still be trying to make sure Miu had a friend around. And she was able to tell that, despite what a disaster Miu’s idea with the Christmas lights was, it was Miu’s own way of trying to add to the festivities and do something nice for other people. All in all, it’s one of my favorite wlw DR ships, and I really love when fanworks capture just how shy or flustered Miu got around Kaede sometimes.

Of course, I like momoharu a lot as well! It’s one of the ships that has grown on me quite a bit in my absence, mostly just because despite all of Momota’s flaws, he really does want Maki to love herself first and foremost. Maki’s own feelings for Momota are so important to her character growth and really represent her feeling as though she’s finally made a choice for the first time in her life, and it’s really heartwarming to see. Also, any ship where the girl could lift a guy up with one arm without breaking a sweat is a pretty good ship in my opinion.

As for other ndrv3 ships that I enjoy a lot, there’s saihoshi (Hoshi is extremely underrated as a character, and I adore how sweet his FTEs and salmon mode with Saihara were; it’s also another ship where I feel Saihara would have to really take the initiative to make Hoshi fully open up, which I like), amamatsu (Kaede and Amami had a lot of really funny, great interaction in chapter 1 and some fun banter in their FTEs, so I would’ve loved to see more of it), and harumatsu/kaemaki (again, they have a lot of potential and it would have been extremely interesting to see them interact more).

I also like saiibo, not so much in the way that most people ship it (their love hotel is cute, don’t get me wrong!), but mostly because Kiibo’s FTEs are the funniest set of FTEs in the whole game in my opinion, and the twist where they were both looking down on each other without the other one knowing just made my jaw drop before I started laughing my ass off. They’re almost as much of a disaster together as Kiibo and Miu are, and I think the humor in their dynamic sometimes gets overlooked.

There are even more ships that I like, and I could keep going on and on, but I should probably leave things off here. Character interactions are so much fun in DR, both because of the genuine growth and character development from a lot of the cast, but also because so many of them are so whacky and borderline cartoonish that it’s just really fun imagining further interactions between them. So, while waiting for requests I decided to post some of my old works. Hope you enjoy!

You petting them/they petting you. V3 cast.

Shuichi

• When you first attempted to pet his hair, it didn't work out well

• You, being your sneaky self, snatched his hat right from his head. The boy gasped, clearly not expecting such move. You were talking peacefully just a moment ago. Tho, he should have noticed this mischievious glint in your eyes

• Shuichi wasn't happy with what you've done. He actually yelled at you and asked you not to do this again

• Needless to say your plan failed

• After Kaedes death, when he was shoked and pained you decided to try and pet him to comfort

• It was much better time for such a thing, the boy needed something like that. That's why he let you pet him

• He couldn't hold it when you did and cried hard on your shoulder

• Shuichi's more willing to accept head pets after this, although he's shy about it and won't ask for pets himself

• He blushes and stutters when you move your hand to his head, but doesn't try to stop you. He becomes expecially embarassed if someone else is around tho, and if you try to pet him he'll decline

• When Shuichi grows comfortable with pets, he'll be craving it

• Still, he's rather passive about it. He'd play with his hair strand unconsciously or just look at you with silent question

• After some time he gets enough courage to touch your hand lightly and ask for some pets. He's a bit awkward about it, but slowly becomes more bold over time

• Your head pets is very nice to him. After he overcomes being overwhelmed each time you hand touches his head, it's very calming as well

• Shuichi goes to you everytime someone dies or he just feels sad and you make him feel better

• He'll pet you as well, if you ask him

Kaede

• You petted her after the escape failure

• She seemed sad after what Kokichi said to her, so you thought some head pets and reassuring words would make her feel better

• It did. She seemed happy that you didn't blame her for anything and she gladly accepted your pets

• You two become close since then

• Kaede is very sweet and affectionate person if you let her be. Of course, she does have her moments of shyness, but overall she's pretty forward

• With that said, it's more likely that she'll be the one petting, not you

• If she sees you're nervous or scared, she uses her hands to soothe you

• She likes to see you smile, so she makes sure you keep doing it

• While Kaede prefers petting you, you petting her make her feel... safe. She's more prone to caring about others and making sure everything alright where she currently is. She wants to make others feel better, inspire and unite them. Unfortunaly, nothing she do helps anyone here and it saddens her. It stresses her. She's human too and needs some support

• Kaede really appreciates your pets. Such simple yet wholesome sign of affection makes her smile

Kaito

• You wanted to touch his hair. That's all, no hidden intentions or anything. You saw it - you obliged to pet it

• When you asked him about it, Kaito was both surprised and flattered by your request. Sadly, he refused so as not to ruin his crazy hairdo

• He petted you tho, 'coz he thought you were cute

• He likes to pet you or ruffle your hair, and does that in any opportunity

• Once you let him, he's not gonna stop

• Now it's his way to greet you, to show his attention/affection, to comfort you and to say "bye"

• His hair is still off limits, unless you persuade him to let you pet it

Rantaro

• As long as you ask politely he'll let you

• Has no problem with you petting his hair. I mean, it's already messy. Plus, Rantaro is a chill-guy

• He also used to have twelve sisters, so there's a big chance his hair was messed with in the past and he won't mind you messing with it too

• The first time you asked him to touch his hair using silly excuse, you most likely reminded him his sisters. Nostalgia made his heart soften and you got to pet this guy

• While Rantaro does accept it, he, just like Kaede, prefers to show affection

• The moment he grows really fond of you, you receive all head pets in the world

• There's something really comforting for him in petting you. Maybe it's big brother thing, who knows. But his hands are really nice

• Be careful or he'll adopt you as his 13th sister

Kirumi

• Well, you won't have much problem with petting Kirumi

• I think

• When you asked her the first time she was surprised, but saw nothing bad in it. I mean, where's harm in letting somebody touch your hair a bit? Or perhaps, she was in a good mood. The point is - you petted the pretty maid yay

• Will be confused if you ask to pet her again. May become concerned, thinking you're touch-starved. Or that you're getting other kind of pleasure from it. Don't let her thing that way or you'll get banished from pets

• If you just suffer from lack of attention and NOT thirsty for maids, Kirumi'll start giving you head pets

• I'm not sure about the other way around. She may let you have it, if it helps you ease your stress from being in the killing game

• She just treats it as another part of her duty as a maid

• May take liking to you tho. You just need to spent more time with her

Maki

• Do you wanna die or what?

• Even if she let you be affectionate, although it'd need lots of time and dedication from you, head pets would still be a no

• It's just... doesn't sit well with her

• She's not a dog

Kokichi

• Dear god, good luck with that

• Kokichi won't let you touch him at all for quite some time. Mainly, because he's adamant about playing his role and staying aside from everyone. He's an ultimate supreme leader after all. Add to this trust issues and touch-starvation and you'll get Kokichi

• Actually, he'll be more quick to pet you or ruffle your hair for some reason. It doesn't mean he's comfortable with you. He may be far from it. Well, not that far, but you get it

• It can get irritating, but you just have to keep proving yourself to him

• You'll get to hold his hand or hug him sooner that you'll get to pet him

• It's just the hardest shit for him. The sight of your hand moving to his head just makes Kokichi automatically alarmed. It's just do

• The first time you attempted it and he wasn't ready he barked at you "fuck off" and immediately laughed it off. He was keeping a distance for awhile after that

• When it's time, he'll come to you himself and just lay his head on your shoulder. If you don't pick up on it or, for some damn reason, decide to tease him, he'll get irritated. The boy is nervous as hell, spare him

• He closes his eyes and flinch a bit, when he feels your hand on his head. He can't relax first, but then he does and gets all over you

• Grows to like pets. Still flinches if he doesn't expect one and complains to you about it

Himiko

• Choked on her "nyeh" when you did it the first time

• Acted irritated, but deep inside kinda liked it

• When you get close, she becomes really touchy. She just sprawles on your lap and demends your pets

• She loves it

• Himiko prefers being petted, she will pet you if you ask about it

• If she's in a good mood

Gonta

• Ahhh, unless he's sitting you can't just pet him. You have to ask him to bend

• Was confused when you asked him the first time. Wasn't sure if it's fine or not for him to be petted by a lady. You had to persuade him it is, before you got what you wanted

• His hair is soft, but very messy and a bit tangled. Be careful not to get your hand stuck in it

• Thinks it's relaxing

• Always returns the favour

• Always

Angie

• If you're nice, she won't mind, really

• She's very open and friendly and will definitely pet you back

• She will

• One of easiest person to pet/get pets from overall. You don't even need to persuade her

Tenko

• Shoked the first time you asked her

• Might hesitate, but a bit of gentle persuading will get her to agree

• Thinks you're a bit weird, but in a cute way

• More comfortable in giving you head pets, then receiving it herself

• Receiving it awkward. Then again that smile of yours tho

• If she really likes you, Tenko won't give a damn about awkwardness at all

• Prepare to sneak pet-attacks

• Will tell you how great and adorable you are while she's petting you

• Compares you to a cute small animal

Kiibo

• Confused as hell

• Doesn't really want you to pet him at first, 'coz it's weird and inappropriate

• Wants you both to become close enough before you do

• When you are, he's shy and very adorable about it

• You need to be careful with antenna tho. Don't knock it over

• When he first pets you, he asks if he's doing it right and if you're comfortable

• Worries that his pets not nearly as good as yours are

Miu

• Got owerwhelmed, screeched, and then run away

• What did you expect, the girl's not used to affection. You, petting her hair was so wild to her, she hurried to get away from this all

• She can't help but be shy around you. Miu tries to keep her facade, but she keeps slipping remembering the touch

• If you try again, she will cling to you after

• There's no escape from her after that. She's touch-starved and you showed her affection. Expect to see her at your door everytime you have free time

• Gets excited when you pet her. In the same time she's very hesitant to pet you back. May ruffle your hair if you're acting too cute tho

Ryoma

• No

• Not even when you're close

• Well maybe, but it'd be hard as heck

Tsumugi

• Politely asked you not to do this again, once you did. Told you it's embarassing and she doesn't like it

• She really doesn't

• And she probably doesn't want to accidentally get attached to you either

Korekiyo

• Oh boy, another hard one to crack

• Korekiyo likes to observe, to watch other people, keeping himself distanced from them. He's not against human interactions tho. He likes to listen and to tell. He'll even seek your company once you show geniune interest in him and/or anthropology. He just isn't comfortable with you touching him

• He may pat you on the head if he feels pleased with you and you're close enough. However, if you want to pet him you need to overcome one big obstacle

• His sister

• Yep, the only way to get him to be touchy with you is to be his loved one, no exeptions

As for the best dynamic... hmm.

Judging based on what I mentioned in the previous post about strengths being highlighted and weaknesses being dealt with in one way or another and believable emotional bonds that help each other, I'd have to say...

Kokichi and Gonta

For sure, it's gotta be them.

Narratively:

They are canonly a dynamic duo, working together and using their different strengths to help one another in areas the other is lacking in. It feels like they can both truly shine when they cooperate, and that's exactly how it should be.

It's very nice to see them work together because they both bring something different to the table that truly helps the other, and not always in ways you would expect at first glance. The brain and brawn thing is expected, but the extent to which they compliment each other is unparalleled by any other dynamic in the game.

Kokichi -> Gonta

Admittedly, Kokichi does less for Gonta narratively than Gonta does for Kokichi, but to be fair I would expect someone like Kokichi to be the one others help shine, not the other way around. Kokichi, as the Ultimate Leader, is more like the protagonist while Gonta is the supporting character.

For the most part though, Kokichi's narrative role relating to Gonta is to show us that Gonta isn't the happy-go-lucky himbo the rest of the cast thinks he is, allowing us to see that Gonta has depth, specifically that Gonta's morals are definitely different than what one would normally expect from someone with his personality.

The rest is something that relates more to their emotional bond, but for now I'll just say that Kokichi allows us to see Gonta's insecurities, flaws, and dedication to his friends (both the cast and Kokichi) and this improves Gonta's character immensely.

Gonta -> Kokichi

Gonta, as a character, shows us just how human Kokichi can be, especially during chapter 4 but also in little moments throughout the game as well. Whether it be lashing out at the others, being soft (like, so, so soft) with Gonta, his cooperation skills, or the depths of his sadness and loyalty, Gonta drags these reactions out of Kokichi one by one like it's his job, which it is! Narratively, Gonta's job is to allow us to see glimpses of what goes on in Kokichi's heart, something incredibly rare and precious to me.

Gonta also really allows Kokichi's ability to strategize and lead people to shine. Like, really shine. Chapter 4 was the best showcase of Kokichi's talent of leading people, but that's because he had Gonta following him. Any captain needs a crew and any Ultimate Leader needs helpful and supportive followers that believe in him. This goes alongside Kokichi's major weakness throughout the game.

Kokichi's biggest weakness is that he's placed himself into an antagonistic position. Seems smart, until you realize that hes the Ultimate Leader and he just alienated himself from literally everyone, losing any potential bonds/followers he could have made. He shot himself in the foot by forsaking some leadership options when he's the Ultimate Leader. It's the thing he's best at, but he put limits on himself anyway to protect everyone from Monokuma's attempts to break them apart.

He can still get the group to do what he wants, but it takes a considerable amount of effort on his behalf in order to do so. Gonta makes up for that by being the follower that Kokichi desperately needs. Gonta believes in Kokichi enough to go along with both of his plans, to the extent that he still goes along with them even they involve kidnapping and killing the other characters.

There's also the fact that Gonta's dedication to the others might've helped Kokichi decide to keep helping everyone, but I'll get more into that in a bit.

Emotionally:

This dynamic also makes a lot of sense from an emotional perspective. You can actually see why these two outcast characters would want to come together and hang out with each other, and why they view the other so positively: they are each other's ideals.

Kokichi -> Gonta

When Gonta needed a friend and someone to take him seriously/not dismiss him, Kokichi was there to hang out with him, seriously listen to him, and explain things to him that he didn't get the first time. Where the other kids were scared of him due to his size and talent, Kokichi had the confidence to ignore Gonta's natural intimidation and the kindness to hang out with Gonta, despite being so scared of bugs he literally foams at the mouth when they touch him.

Kokichi still regarded Gonta as a friend after that incident though, when most people (justifiably) would've held a grudge and cut him off. Gonta has some very obvious rage issues and reacts pretty impulsively to the things that upset him, but Kokichi is very patient with others, and almost forgiving to a fault at times, so he's willing to stick with Gonta and try and work through their problems instead of abandoning him. This would no doubt be something that Gonta desperately wanted from a friend, seeing as he's very self conscious about appearing as scary.

He loyally sticks by Gonta and readily offers advice, support, explanations, patience, etc... I mean the list goes on. I really do think that his relationship with Gonta is a showcase of how Kokichi would act around someone he really likes, like I'm talking about this being the basis for how I think Kokichi would act around DICE levels of emotional intimacy. I think this is Kokichi at his best, friendship wise. Especially because even during events that take place outside of the main story we never see Kokichi act this way around anyone else, even with the people I would also consider to be his friends (mainly Miu, but also sorta with Kiibo as well.)

They didn't know each other for long, but if you really look at it, it's plain to see that Kokichi really valued Gonta as a friend. I mean, I dont think someone who yells about wanting to live during his FTEs with Kaede would willingly offer to give his life for (no discernable goal) for just anyone y'know? Plus, throughout the game, he uses some of his friendliest and softest sprites during his conversations with Gonta. Even visually you can see their bond.

It's a very subtle relationship when compared to some of the more overt pairs throughout the game (aside from some key moments in chapter 4) but it's there, and honestly I can think of very few characters that share this close of a bond in the whole series game.

They actually kinda seem similar to Aoi and Sakura in a way, but somehow they compliment each other more... damn.

Gonta -> Kokichi

Likewise, Gonta also became Kokichi's friend and didn't seem to mind the lying at all, something that means a lot to Kokichi based on his Harmonious Heart Events, because it means that Gonta doesn't want to be friends with someone different, he wants Kokichi, lies and all. This is Kokichi's #1 wish.

I think that meant more to Kokichi than anything else, because this is his way of life. He leads with lies, he plays with lies, and he protects himself with lies too. He wants to keep lying and Gonta not being bothered by that is literally the exact thing that Kokichi yearns for in the best ending for his HHE.

Gonta also caught on to the times that Kokichi was extending olive branches and accepted him. It's subtle, but Kokichi did try and befriend people as long as he could do it without having to change himself and Gonta was one of the people that responded to that positively. Gonta readily befriended Kokichi, probably understanding first-hand what it's like to be an outcast because of misunderstandings and personality traits.

This is why Gonta's death (especially since Kokichi felt like he was fully responsible for it, despite what Gonta said) was so traumatic for Kokichi and why he reacts so negatively to it, he lost someone he never thought he would ever meet in the first place. More than a few of his dialogue lines have him imply that he's used to being hated for how he chooses to live his life and that he expects this kind of treatment from people, so finally finding someone who won't hate him for that and then losing that friend so quickly with his own plan had to have hurt immensely.

Going off that, Gonta is the one to convince Kokichi to remain friends with everyone and try his best for them despite how they treat him, and he also desperately begs for the others to do the same thing for Kokichi. He knew he was leaving Kokichi alone, and he wanted to try and protect him.

While the other members of the cast don't seem to remember this or care much about it after the whole "I'm the mastermind" bit, we do see Kokichi trying to protect the group after chapter 4 by trying getting rid of the motive to leave (therefore "ending" the killing game by making sure no one plays it) and by trying to remove Kaito, who has shown himself to be a harmful influence.

I think Gonta's words really got through to Kokichi, and while it did unfortunately lead to Kokichi dying for everyone's sake, Kokichi might not have tried to save everyone if it hadn't been for Gonta's last wishes. Why would Kokichi want to help people that actively hate him and bully him if not for the pleading of his greatest friend in the game telling him to keep protecting them.

In a sense, Kokichi during chapter 5 fulfills Gonta's original wish to be useful and protect everyone even at the cost of himself, with Kokichi doing exactly that.

Interested?

If you asked me for moments that I feel showcase their bond nicely so you can get a feel of it for yourself, I'd point you towards the dialogue they share during the 4th trial investigation and their meeting before the Insect Meet and Greet was very nice (you'll have to read between the lines for the former though!) If you want to see what I'm talking about, I would definitely recommend rewatching those. The moments prior to Gonta's execution are also always a good look at how much they meant to each other.

If you're really interested, I'd also recommend watching through their bonus content (LHEs, FTEs, HHEs, etc) and thinking about how their desires are reflected in each other, it's interesting to think about at the very least.

TL;DR?

Overall, they have an amazing, yet unsung, dynamic between the two of them and I would like to see more people recognize it. It's very brief and doesn't have a lot of story time, but it feels more meaningful than any of the "main" dynamics in the game with 10x the screentime. It has substance to it. It's satisfying and gratifying to watch.

It also makes fucking sense, unlike a particular dynamic that takes up a majority of the fucking story for nOTHING–

Summary: The game master has a new dirty trick up their sleeve to get rid of a certain little liar; but Kokichi isn't going down so easily, even with the threat of now death waiting for him at every corner.

It seemed the mastermind wasn’t too pleased when the motive hadn’t gotten him murdering and executed, so their next plan was to get him directly murdered.

Kokichi stands in Monokuma’s shadow, expression blank in face of the bear’s cruel cackles. It's a wonder how the mastermind can see him as a threat when he hasn't been able to stop any of the past murders, but he's still flattered that he's managed to mess with their plans enough that they'd stoop to such a low motive.

When the monochromatic bear leaves, Kokichi is left silently staring at the rest of his classmates from his spot on the cafeteria table, standing at the miserable height of a toy. Any other day, jokes and taunts and lies would be flowing out of his mouth, but his mind doesn’t come up with anything when he’s surrounded by classmates who he knows are already thinking of killing him and hiding his body to avoid a class trial; the same classmates whom he could hold in the palm of his hand only yesterday.

Silent and unmoving as he is, they must think him a scared little child; Kokichi Ouma, supreme leader of evil, reduced to some cute joke, some fanservice for an audience to coo at before he inevitably dies. The thought of the mastermind looking down on him and laughing to themselves at the moment is near sickening.

Kiibo is first to speak up, “So… What should we do about this?”

“I say,” Maki’s reply is instantaneous, like she’d been waiting to say those next words for too long, “We end this killing game right here and now.”

And when she takes a swift step forward, red eyes piercing through his tiny form with a murderous intent he’s seen too many times already, Kokichi can’t do anything but resign himself to the fact that he won’t live to stop the killing game.

Then something darts in front of him and blocks his view, and he thinks he somehow must’ve dreamed the words, “Maki, don’t hurt him.”

It takes his paranoid brain longer than he’d like to admit to realize that the hand in front of him isn’t coming to grab him and squeeze his guts out, rather, it’s shielding him. A gesture he wouldn’t expect coming from anyone in this room, except-

“You can't fall for the mastermind's trick so easily.” Shuichi stands towering in front of him in a protective stance, like some knight in shining armor; and to think this is the same boy who was cowering in his presence only days ago.

"Yeah! Harumaki, you promised, remember?" Kaito, the actual knight in shining armor of the academy, doesn't come to protect him; instead, he steps up to Maki and places a hand on her shoulder. Of course, when killer girl is trying to kill poor lil' Kokichi, it's still her who needs help and support and not the doll-sized villainous boy about to be murdered. "This has gotta be a trap or somethin'."

"Right," Shuichi joins in. He briefly glances over his shoulder at Kokichi, and the now tiny boy meets his gaze with the same blank expression. "Think about it, doesn't this new motive seem more like a way to…" his gaze lingers on Kokichi's small form for a second longer, before he tears it away, "… to get rid of a specific classmate?"

"Yeah," Kaito chimes in, "I'm starting to think the mastermind wants Kokichi dead for whatever reason," The grave expression on his face matches the morbidity of his statement. He slams his fists together in determination, "We can't let that happen."

"I do agree," Kiibo pipes up, "That if Kokichi was the enemy hiding among us, it wouldn't make sense to put himself in such… disadvantageous situation," he's hesitant and careful with his choice of word, like he could somehow be tiny-phobic.

"You're all overthinking this too much," Maki's cold gaze falls back on him, and if looks could kill, a body discovery announcement would have played out, "The killing game stops when the mastermind is dead. Simple as that."

The pressure of her stare threatens to crush him. Kokichi's legs nearly give out under his weight, and his first reaction is to stumble a few steps back and plaster a grin on his face.

“Pish posh, poor Harumaki… wants to kill me so badly, she's ready to do it in front of everyone,” His voice nearly wavers, he takes another step back for good measure. No use in trying to reason with an assassin or try to gain anyone’s sympathy; it’s always easier to stick to the role he’s written himself into.

Kokichi speaking for the first time seems to trigger the whole cafeteria to erupt in a cacophony again. Maki tries to push past Kaito and Shuichi to get her grubby hands on the little leader, and the two boys defend him (at least he thinks they do); someone yawns and someone else gasps and exclamations and accusations are thrown around.

"There has to be more to this motive!"

"You're protecting him over a maybe?"

"This is terrible, we shouldn't fight!"

"Nyeh… we still haven't had breakfast…"

They argue and bicker, like they always do when a new motive is presented and they don’t know what to make of it. Kokichi finds it easy enough to block out the obnoxious voices. He lets cold logic take over his mind and shadow his fear as he assesses the situation.

Even if he refuses, they'll probably force him to be baby-sat by someone. Staying with Maki or Miu is out of the question. Kiibo would be a good choice if Kokichi wanted the eyes of the mastermind and the audience on his back at all time, and Himiko would be a good choice if he wanted all the protection of a bodyguard who doesn't tolerate him and sleeps most of the time.

Gonta does tolerate him and has already worked with him in the past; he wouldn't be a bad choice, but for now Kokichi has a feeling he'll end up sleeping in a bug case with cockroaches if he goes with the giant entomologist, so he'll pass. Kaito superman-wannabe-Momota wouldn't be so bad either, but he'll probably take advantage of the situation and try to get the tiny boy to open up about his super evil dark past or whatever; so again, he'll pass for now.

And then there's Shuichi… Staying with his beloved detective, they could stay up late at night and braid each other's hair and share their secrets, they could make plans together and explore the school and beat the mastermind like some iconic duo, they could even pick that night's game of chess back up since Kokichi still remembered the setting of the board. Staying with Shuichi, truely a dream come true, and a dream right in his reach. But he wasn't in dreamland, he was stuck in a killing game hell where he couldn't let his facade slip and show vulnerability so easily to the protagonist of their game. His eyes fall to the floor with the shame of entertaining such a dream before remembering the sobering reality. Staying with Shuichi is out the question.

Kokichi goes back to listening to the conversarion, but he finds the room silent and eight pairs of eyes on him.

“Kokichi,” Shuichi speaks again. The boy is tempted to look away, but he forces his eyes to meet the giant detective's faded gold ones, “you can stay with me if you want?"

A taunting smirk pushes its way to his face. “Man, Saihara wants to get a hold of me so he can do all kindsa weird stuff to me? Ew ew ew, so gross, I'm so terrified! How could you do this to a frightened little boy?”

“Kokichi,” he considers the exasperation in the detective’s tone a victory to him, although an unpleasant one, “You don’t need to be so obnoxious, if there’s someone you want to stay with, you can say it.” Sheesh, wasn't Shuichi dying to talk to him the other night?

His best option isn’t ideal, but he can't get too picky in his current situation. “Welll, I think I’d like to stay with big sis Shirogane!” he hears the girl in question sputter a noise of surprise, and all eyes turn to her.

“What are you planning?” Maki speaks again after a long silence, voice betraying her skepticism.

“Oh, are you jealous I didn’t pick you, big sis Harumaki?” Do you want to die?

“Do you want to die?” Bingo. Too predictable.

“Uhm,” Tsumugi’s meek voice cuts him off before he can retort, “Why me? I-I mean, I don’t mind, I just don’t understand?”

Kokichi turns to her, and she nearly flinches at his attention. At least there’s one person in the room who’s still intimidated by him. “I just wanted to stay with my absolute favourite girl in this academy," as he says that, he walks around Shuichi's still outstretched hand to better face the absolute favourite girl in question, shooting on his way a quick glance up the detective, "aaand there's also this one cosplay I really wanna try now that I'm cutie-sized. That is, if Shirogane is fine with it?"

Tsumugi looks down to her feet and starts to vibrate with excitement hard enough that he can feel it under his feet. "O-Oh, I am fine with it. I wonder if we're both thinking of the same anime… but the only male character there has a dark skin tone, and there's one girl that really looks like you… You don't mind wearing a dress, do you?" She's already walking up to him with an outstretched hand, as if driven by the by the force of her love of cosplay.

Kokichi blinks his fear away and steps into the unsteady surface, immediately understanding the fear and discomfort in Shuichi's face that last night. Questions and accusations are still coming at him left and right, but he pointedly ignores it all and waves back to his remaining classmates with his cockiest smile as he leaves in the giant girl's hand, mind already buzzing with plans to survive the new motive.

How the V3 boys react to their s/o being accused of being the blackened because they have no alibi, but only for their s/o confess their accidentally saw the boys doing something really embarrassing alone and didn’t want to embarrass them, but otherwise thankfully confirmed innocent?

Funny story about your request Anon. I accidentally wrote this where the boys were being accused of being the blackened so I ended up with two versions of this. Anyways, I hope that even with me goofing this up and taking a while that you still enjoy the edited version where I didn’t mess up. If not though feel free to ask me to fix this up and I gladly will.

Rantaro

When you had been suddenly cornered in the class trial, Rantaro was suspicious.

He didn't want to suspect you but you were supposed to show up to his room last night and never showed as far as he was sure.

And then to have no alibi? It was suspicious, far too suspicious.

However, when you finally did blurt out your alibi he couldn't help but for his normally calm expression to turn into one of shock.

Wait you did come by his room?

Apparently not only did you come by but you witnessed that embarrassing moment when he leaned down and ripped his pants.

He was so caught up in the moment that apparently he didn't hear you even close the door either.

Thankfully that meant you were innocent but Rantaro's face was red for most of that trial.

"I'm sorry for suspecting you S/o. This....this is pretty embarrassing."

Rantaro knows with Kokichi around he won't live this down unless he scared him half to death.

Ryoma

During the class trial, Ryoma couldn't believe it when you didn't have an alibi.

How could you have done something as awful as murder?

He'd be pretty skeptical, maybe one of the most since he's used to life taking away the things most precious to him.

What he didn't expect though was when you admitted you had an alibi.

That and your alibi was that you had come to check on him only to turn back after you overheard him talking to a tennis ball.

This was so uncool.

How could he face anyone after they all know that he basically went on a depressed ramble to his tennis equipment?

"I see. Sorry for suspecting you, S/o. That was uncool of me."

He doesn't want to acknowledge that everyone knows his little secret so he'd just focus on making things up to you.

Kokichi at least is too scared of Ryoma to remind you all but he isn't going to forget.

Korekiyo

Korekiyo like Rantaro and Ryoma isn't above suspecting his S/o.

For you to have no alibi was strange, very strange indeed.

However, unlike the other two, he'd make it more like a game of cat and mouse cornering you with the others.

He'd question you more than anyone else

However, as much as he wasn't expecting you to actually be guilty he also wasn't expecting you to admit that you caught him brushing his hair and singing folk songs in front of the mirror.

He was flabbergasted, to say the least, but he was also a tad embarrassed that the others had learned of his nightly grooming ritual.

He lets out a small laugh, his true feeling hidden by his calm demeanor and mask as he simply states, "So you caught me in the middle of grooming. How embarrassing. However, it does provide you with an alibi nonetheless."

Kokichi isn't even going to think about teasing Kiyo, even if he's the one that is most likely to remember other's embarrassing secrets.

Kiyo is scary when he makes threats.

Gonta

It wasn't a well-known fact that Gonta slept naked but it wouldn't be secret for long.

As soon as you were cornered, Gonta couldn't even attempt to question you.

He was so scared of you being the blackened that he felt as though it was hard to breathe.

As soon as your alibi came up though he was struggling to breathe for a whole other reason.

He had no clue that you two would have to mention that incident where he was ungentlemanly.

He already was so embarrassed just with you seeing him naked and when you had to tell the rest of the class it just worsened.

"No, Gonta didn't want everyone to know that he's so ungentlemanly. Gonta so ashamed!"

He will nearly cry out of shame in the trial and afterwards, everyone is more focused on consoling him than apologizing for suspecting you.

Gonta will apologize for them though and probably for flashing you again.

Kokichi will probably try to use the incident to blackmail the poor boy though.

Kokichi

Kokichi would already know that you've seen him in the act, unlike the others.

He would feign innocent though the whole trial, pinning you as the blackened for having no alibi.

He'd want to push you into a corner until you'd have no choice but to tell the rest of his class.

It was weirdly a fun game for him even if it was his own embarrassing secret that's on the line.

Once you did play into his hands though he'd just act surprised.

"Awww you saw me impersonating everyone else while I was making my profiles!? How embarrassing!"

He doesn't seem embarrassed at all but he actually is quite embarrassed deep down.

He'll play it off or actually go into more detail depending on how he feels and he won't bother to apologize.

He'll just change the subject and laugh off any questions.

Kaito

For you not to have an alibi was shocking to Kaito.

He knew though that there was no way you were the blackened.

You had to have some alibi you just haven't thought of yet.

He'd remind you that he believes in you and to just try to explain to your best ability.

That statement would soon turn against him though as soon as you had to break to the class that you caught Kaito flexing in the mirror.

Eyes wide and face red Kaito could only look on in shock for a good while.

However, once he realizes that you did have an alibi he covers up with his usual confident attitude.

"See, I told you, you had an alibi! You just had to think about it!"

He'd grin at you giving you a thumbs up but before the end of the trial, there'd be a lot of arguing.

Kaito gets bashed a lot for flexing that day and Kokichi would make sure it's not just that day.

Kiibo

Kiibo was used to getting bashed on during the class trials but this was different.

You had been cornered by everyone else and the fact that you had no alibi could nearly be incriminating.

"Please, S/o say something! I know you're not the blackened!"

He pleads, pressing you to respond. However, he'd soon come to regret doing so.

You had walked into his room since you forgot something when you saw the bathroom light on.

It was odd for him to be in there since he couldn't use it but you decided to check up on him when you noticed the door ajar and heard, someone using the bathroom?

You peeked in without thinking only to see Kiibo pouring a cup of water into the toilet as he stood in front of it speaking to himself.

"Ah I see, this must be what it feels like to be able to use the bathroom."

You wanted to pretend you never saw that but it was the alibi you had so, going into as little detail as possible.

Either way, Kiibo was extremely embarrassed and Miu and Kokichi aren't going to stop teasing him at all.

"I'm sorry that we had to doubt you S/o. I'm glad you're innocent but that still was rather embarrassing."

Shuichi

Shuichi was easy to embarrass.

This was no new fact although it wasn't too common for him to get so embarrassed in a class trial.

When you had no alibi, he knew you'd have to divulge what had happened between the two of you and he was not looking forward to it.

You had to tell him something about one of the books he lent you apparently and he had said that he could speak with you about it after he freshened up.

The only issue was, he was late to hop into the shower and he forgot to bring his clothes into the bathroom with him.

He didn't hear any moving or anything so he decided to quickly run out to grab his clothes as soon as you opened the door.

Now the whole class knew and he was turning bright red.

"I'm glad to see that you did have an Alibi, after all, S/o. That's quite embarrassing though."

Kokichi will never let him live this down.
