Kono Shin this is a bit egregious! Dance Man gave a shout-out to Boogie Wonderland as a big influence on his work on Love Machine, but that's not nearly as obvious as it is here!

Meanwhile, the Tsunku composition magic is real. "What if Earth Wind and Fire but more chords" is, well, straight fire.

I decided not to switch mash configurations before the chorus, but know that I did explore both combos. Plus the obligatory BOTH AT THE SAME TIME MAXIMALISM!!! for the final chorus.

nintendo is a goddamn million dollar company. they could absolutely go all out with these seasonal updates but instead they give us the same S piece from tetris shaped maps, an incredibly limited schedule for modes that everybody has been waiting for since the game came out, and a promising looking main weapon with a kit consisting of an incredibly low tier sub and straight up just the worst special in the game. we are within our right to criticize them.

I've foolishly decided to try collecting some OOP English-language manga volumes this year. I blame Bookwalker for reminding me of so many older titles I now own digitally in Japanese, but don't have in my physical English-language collection.

Doing this sort of thing is always a challenge in terms of sourcing items in decent condition for a reasonable price, but I'd forgotten how much harder it is to get these things here in Australia. Even if I find volumes available online in the US or UK, often the shipping is 3-5 times the cost of the book just to get it here by the shittiest option available.

Still, I'm trying to refine what I own and get rid of things that I'm not passionate about, ensuring my collection is entirely focused on what matters to me. Doing this is part of that whole process, though it's very much a long term thing.

For my own record (and for your amusement I guess) here's what I'm currently tracking down. This is subject to change.

The Niji-iro Family

Niji-iro Tetsu and Niji-iro Sakura were diplomats from the Minkai Empire on the continent of Tian Xia on Golarion. They spent most of their time traveling around the globe for work with their children in tow.

Tetsu and Sakura had eleven juvenile children.

Haiiro was the self-appointed defender of the family.

Kuro and Shiro both wanted to help defend the family like Haiiro would. They spent a good portion of their free time sparring with their wooden bokken swords.

Chairo, however, preferred archery.

Kiiro also liked roughhousing like her brothers, oftentimes swinging off of chandeliers and ropes to join in the fray.

...which sometimes led to Mizuiro grabbing a medical kit to come to the rescue of her siblings.

The other siblings were more low-key.

Orenji liked to take care of the plants.

Murasaki spent time in the kitchen coming up with new concoctions.

Akane liked to shoot the breeze with everyone.

Pinku just worried about everybody in general.

And, in all of the chaos, Midori would sneak cookies from the cookie jar when nobody was looking.

They had a happy life together.

Shoutouts to probably one of the worst offenders of the "Girl Toys Don't Sell" mentality:

This is Beni from Tenkai Knights, a glorified henshin hero commercial. She is the only female knight (Venetta) and conveniently:

Is the only one without a titan mode, and when it seems like she is about to get one, she ends up having to be saved by the other male characters.

The only one not tied to an element/no elemental form (The other 5 characters have fire, ice, nature, lightning, and wind). The most we know is that she can shoot webs and dark energy, so I guess that's her element.

Is able to robofuse like the other knights -- but the only times she's shown doing it is with some villain lackeys.

Is artificial shipbait for Guren because they don't really have "chemistry" until near the end of the series.

Also is the only one lacking a last name for some reason

Maybe I'm thinking too deeply about a pretty average kids' show from 2014 but man the way they treated her was kinda rough, especially since she's one of the best characters in the show (the scenes of her and Kiiro are cute.)

Two prompts in one baby less GOOO

Kiiros quirk is sunlight shifting his wings absorb sunlight and can even hold it for a certain Amount of time (no he can't fly but he can use his wings as like a hanglider)

He can then give this light form and make things out of it for around 5 minnets before it disapates this mostly works for forcefields blasts and weapons as he can't create living things things that can produce anything but warmth or that can function like a sort of machine unless he knows how whatever that is works he has a short attention span so he doesn't tend to remember he's usually helpless in places with no sunlight unless he stored up sunlight (Wich btw leave his wings warm and he likes to use this as a way to make his wings a heated blanket)

Now his brother chairo! His quirk is shadow shifting

He can give darkness and shadows form he can create controlled creatures wepons forcefields arms spikes cloaks of darkness and all kinds of other shiz

His wings don't absorb anything however he uses his wings to make a bigger shadow under him to use for battle he also uses his wings as a cloak

(no he cannot fly either he also doesn't use the method his brother kiiro uses)
