LMAO this just fuels my long-time headcanon that Choso isn't good at reading and writing even more. Hereby I confim it's canon.
Again: Enoki is Yuuji-kun, Namikawa is Choso
This is totally Choso, Todo, and Yuuji dynamic right here 🤣 (dumb and dumber big brothers)
But he can read the kanjis in Blood Manipulation techniques, sasuga Onii-chan!
Choso's va read Getou's name as "Natsuabura: Summer Oil" just like Google translate and said it's basically impossible to be able to read it as 'Getou'. Yuuji's va burst into laughter and said he cud at least read the 'Ge' kanji.
DAY 27: a song you think would be a worldwide hit (if only it were sung in English by Eminem)
🎤 「HIPHOPPIA」 - Ichiro Yamada (3rd solo)
(link)
Very easy choice, this one.
The first time I listened to this new Ichiro's solo, I thought it was a real shame that HypMic's songs have no way of being played on international radio stations like normal songs, because this one, in English, would really slap and I'm super convinced that it would be appreciated by many rap lovers.
Leaving aside the magnificent scratch that Subaru's voice takes on in this song, I'm seriously fascinated by the lyrics and what they want to communicate. It's not something trivial at all! On the contrary, it's extremely deep, as well as impactful from a motivational pov.
I truly believe that this stuff, in English, would become an international hit. Here's the link to the full translation, for those who want to get a better idea of what I'm gonna say (link), but in short. It's not the usual ego-referenced message that you can find in a solo like Ore ga Ichiro, for example. This song really says some important things.
I'll mention just a few of the ones that I think are most iconic:
"Beyond the rough waves and shattering illusions, there's a utopia they talk about. A fragment of determination opens the door, thrusting a pencil that scribbled daydreams, eating up illusions in reality"
"If there were no dreams, what would be the point of living?
If they say, "It's impossible for you," I'll get fired up stirring up miracles in this life"
"Put your whole life into this one shot
Opportunities don't come twice, but the show goes on"
"There, there's no fighting, No distinctions, they say
Everyone is equal before the sound. That's pretty cool
Fangs sharpened to become stronger
We've crossed many corpses
Got it? We all come from the same root
No matter who, our blood is RED"
I don't know if you fully realize the beautiful message of equality that this song conveys, particularly with the last quote I wrote above. Just imagine the worldwide impact of something like this if it were sung by a bigwig like Eminem.
Eminem (or anyone else who can afford it), I'm looking at you right now, just know it. SOMEONE PLEASE HELP MAKE HYPMIC GREAT IN THE REST OF THE WORLD AS WELL.
Have you all heard of the new multimedia project, Hi-Drivers?? This franchise, which will be working with some of the top car manufacturers in Japan, was first announced back in February. So far, they've had an official reveal with a few of the seiyuu, which you can watch on YouTube, a Twitter account and be sure to subscribe to their YouTube channel! They haven’t announced all the character and seiyuu but I put together some images for what they’ve released so far. Check below if you want to see more~
Team Night Break:
Ise Yuri
Suwabe Junichi
Furukawa Makoto
Sasakihara Yuki
Team Nanairo Monster:
Shibata Ivan
Toriumi Kousuke
Fukuyama Jun
Team Sin Destiny:
Doujima Hayato
Fukunishi Masaya
Murase Ayumu
Kimura Subaru
Team Djungarian:

Hirakawa Daisuke
This looks really promising so far. Are you ready for hot guys with great voices racing in cool cars?! Well, even if you aren’t they’re heading your way! There’s actually a 5th team called Saturday Night Million with one member so far, Mr. DJD, but his seiyuu is still a mystery for now. Since all the characters haven’t been revealed I’ll probably post again with any new characters once their announced.
Found Hypnosis Flava happening at Nagoya Parco while I’m visiting so of course I availed of the opportunity! There were some signatures from Kimura Subaru, Amasaki Kohei and Takeuchi Eiji there too which was cool
“Once my suspender belt is back in place, I’ll arrest you all.”
Asashin: (thanks crowd, and mentions MTC always performs their signature ‘BANG’ gun move; asks audience members to be the ones to shoot at MTC this time)
MTC: (falls like the dramatic theatre kids they are)
Shirai: AH! AH!
Everyone: (clamouring) Are you guys okay?
Nozu: (to audience) Wait a second guys, you can’t actually shoot them!
Shirai: (chaotic mode activated) They got shot by the cockroaches*!
Rio: (sexy voice) That was some good shooting technique.
Asashin: Um… is there anyone here… who can give first aid…
Itou: Ah, we have one here!
Hayami: We’ve a doctor right here! I’ll have a look at everyone later.
Komada: (softly) Saburo-chan, it seems like my suspender belt has slipped off, could you help me reattach it?
Soma: W-w-w-w-wait! What are you doing? What do you think you’re doing?
Komada: My outfit almost fell apart…
Asashin: We didn’t say you could shoot us until that degree!
Amasaki: DON’T LOOK!
Asashin: (smoothly covers) Actually there’s something we’ve always wanted to do but haven’t. Is it okay if everyone listens to Kamio’s request?
Kamio: Those who have undergone training; I’m sure you can do it right. I’m not going to tell you anything, but you can surely respond.
“What’s my name?”
Audience: (loudly, passionately, I wish I was there to shout with them) RIO!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Kamio: Well done.
Asashin: You did good.
Komada: Once my suspender belt is back in place, I’ll arrest you all.
Shirai, Soma: You’re the one being “arrested” right now!
*[about the audience going crazy even with Samatoki calling them cockroaches]
I was this close to putting an andless list of live performances, because everything is great in a unique way during HypMic lives.
But this one definitely slaps on another level.
This song is already beautiful in its own right, but the live ver is a whole other emotion. The guitar, combined with the movements of the seiyuu on stage, sends me into EKUSHTASI (reference for a few connoisseurs), completely.
When Subaru starts singing followed immediately after by the flames shot skyward to his C'mon! it's bloody exciting! AHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!
I really like how they exchange looks when the "Dare no banda?" moment starts. Everyone is so in character! And when they make the TDD sign with their hands? akjdhgaldj
