#kind enduring wise souls who put everyone else before themselves
Text
Episode 6 was so incredibly touching and poignant. It was heartstring-tugging, moving and absolutely beautiful. I filled an ocean with my tears this episode. This episode will leave you emotionally drained and even thinking about it will make you cycle through all of these emotions again.
This episode was different from all that came before it. Primarily, it was an arc that was told within the span of one episode. This did not lessen the feels in any way whatsoever but I wonder if it signals a shift in story telling going forward. Will the arcs be self-contained within one episode? Will this change the messages that each case brings with it? Will this lead to focusing more on the Grim Reapers themselves? Only time will tell. Secondly, the person they were tasked to save only had a limited time left to live afterwards.
The focus of this episode was an elderly Korean War Veteran. He had the kindest disposition. He reminded me of a polished river stone in that time and life experiences had worn away all of the impulsive emotions and what was left was a quiet enduring wisdom. I think what really got to me is that he reminds me of people I knew who grew up in that generation. The generation that faced unimaginable pain and hardship and who grew up to have this otherworldly patience and outlook. The people who would save every penny but wouldn't hesitate to give you the shirt off of their back if you need it. The people who are givers and put everyone else before themselves. The generation that is quickly passing away. He reminded me of all those I lost and made me miss and treasure them even more. Safe to say, just like Jun Woong, I quickly became attached.
The Risk Management Team took a different approach to this case than I was expecting. They not only told him that they were Grim Reapers but that he had one day left in his lifespan. They gave him all of the facts upfront. You learn that the only reason he was considering taking his life was because he didn't want to die alone. They told him that he could do anything he wanted to do for his last day and all he wanted to do was peacefully do what he did every day.
You got a glimpse into his life during those twenty four hours. The Risk Management Team saw how he viewed trash as treasure and was grateful for everything. You saw him give all of his hard earned money to the person who ran the dump and told him to use the money for meals for his family. I think seeing his enduring optimism and kindness really moved them. It is so frustrating how easily he was dismissed in the beginning of the episode for his livelihood and how he was used as a cautionary tale by the woman to her daughter. Just seeing how he chose to spend the last day of his life exemplifies that a person’s character is not defined by their job and what they have to do to survive.
Seeing his backstory really broke me. You learned that he volunteered for the war, that he couldn’t just stand by as people younger than him gave their lives for their country. Watching all that he had to go through during the war from having his commanding officer die right in front of him, to getting reluctantly attached to someone who later yelled at him for saving his life, to returning home to realize his home was destroyed and his mother had died while he had been gone, was absolutely heartbreaking. Seeing how PTSD drastically changed his life afterwards while those who never fought could live their lives successfully felt so cruel after everything he lost. Hearing that he had regretted his choice of joining the war meant that for over eighty years he had carried this burden in his heart hurt. Knowing that he thought his life a waste, meaningless and useless for so many years absolutely destroyed me. It reminds me of so many others who fought in the war and survived the war only to come home and never talk about it again. So many have passed without realizing that there are so many people who are grateful for their sacrifice.
I am so so glad that Ryeon was able to convey that to him. That in no way shape or form was his life meaningless or useless.  That his sacrifice created the country they lived in now, the bright night lights of a bustling Seoul. Without him, it would not have been possible. I cried as he realized the magnitude of what he achieved through his sacrifice. That he did not sacrifice through war and did not suffer through its aftermath for nothing.
His last moments really got to me. A man who was scared of dying because he would be dying alone ended up having so many people around him. The Risk Management Team stayed by his side (even though Jun Woong had to step out for a little bit because he couldn’t stand to see Grandfather Veteran in pain). Seeing Joong Gil show up confirmed to me that he could be gentle if the situation called for it. There was a truce in those moments between all of the Reapers because there was something more important at hand - paying respects to a kind soul. Joong Gil told Grandfather Veteran that he remembered the last time he saw his back (knowing that he was there that day also tugged on all of my heartstrings). He gave the comfort that only someone who had been there with you could give. I think he was absolutely vital in bringing peace to Grandfather Veteran’s past. I want to pay my respects to the courage you had for your country so we will all accompany you in your last moment. When you saw Grim Reapers arrive from every direction, you began to feel the importance of this moment. Hearing that it was a special case and the Director must have approved for this to happen means that even the Director softened her heart for this case (despite her firm standing on no special treatment earlier in the episode). The fact that the girls of the Escort Team had never seen this happen before shows just what a kind soul Grandfather Veteran had to make such an impact. An impact so great that the Director herself showed up which made me lose it seeing how many people have come to honor him.
The Director’s speech to him was so touching. Hearing that he had a gentle face and had lived a kind life. People face choices every moment of the lives. All those various choices come together to make their lives. The choice you made during your youth were honorable. You have lost so much yet you have protected so many lives and brought about the world of today. Thank you for protecting the lives of so many. Seeing the tears in the Grim Reapers eyes and the tears that fell down her face as she helped him pass on peacefully and comfortably really spoke to how Lee Young Chun (Grandfather Veteran) moved them. I was crying alongside them. I am so glad that his soul will be blessed beyond what his life has been worth because he deserves so much peace and happiness in every life to come after having such a difficult life. Thank you for your hard work.
His send-off was so incredibly moving. I am so happy he saw the scale of his send-off because it just cements that though he thought that he did not change any lives, he in fact impacted the lives of so many (Grim Reapers included). I’ve lived regretting the choice I made that day for a very long time. But fighting for my country was the noblest choice I have made and it was worth it. Thank you for being with me during my final tomorrow. The HUG he gave Jun Woong MY HEART. The salute Jun Woong gave him. The moment of silence for the soul of the fallen hero who protected this country...I could not stop the tears from falling. It was the honorable and respecful send off he deserved and I hope that all those who gave their lives to protect the lives of so many, all those who endured so much pain and suffering, got a send off just like his. They deserve it too.
When the Risk Management Team first approached Young Chun, he was like a wilted flower bush who had not seen the sun of other people’s company or gotten any water of a meaningful life. He was alone and thought his life to be worthless and meaningless. Through the Risk Management Team and Jumadeung and in his final moments, he bloomed because he was no longer alone and everyone showed him just how important and meaningful his life actually was. He was given the sun and water he was deprived of for so long. He spent his final moments with good company and then was escorted to the afterlife surrounded by people. He was surrounded by the warmth of people who cared about him and then reunited with his mother who never stopped caring.
This episode also made me treasure Jun Woong so much. I think he was critical to Young Chun’s final days. He was really the turning point for Young Chun’s perspective on his own life. Up until Young Chun met Jun Woong for the first time, he was struggling to get by, getting bettlitled by people on the street and then bullied by the thugs of the neighborhood. Jun Woong stepping in showed him that someone cared and someone noticed. The Risk Management team treated him with kindness and respect but Jun Woong went one step further and treated him like family. He immediately adopted him as his Grandfather. Family like affection was something that Young Chun hadn’t received since he said goodbye to his mother. It carries a different type of warmth. It was also through Jun Woong, that Young Chun learnt the friend he thought resented him for saving his life actually saw Young Chun as a source of strength and used his words to get him through. The friend was grateful and thankful and appreciative of Young Chun’s actions and he would have gone to the grave not knowing that if it had not been for Jun Woong. The hug they shared gives off very Grandparent vibes which just speaks to the bond Jun Woong was able to develop with him through such a short period of time. The epilogue also shows the softer side of Young Chun that Jun Woong was able to draw out as he persuaded him to get his photo taken. Also, his dynamic with Ryeon and the Director is always such a pleasure to see. He is truly the heart of Jumadeung and its missing piece.
You also get a glimpse into the world of the Grim Reaper and that they can also be moved by humans as well. When Ryeon went to plead with the Director that he be given a peaceful passing, the Director implied that Ryeon was not the first person to ask this of her. Given that Ryeon and Joong Gil met right before and she asked him to escort Grandfather Veteran to the afterlife, you can assume that Joong Gil had gone in first to ask the Director to pull some strings. Which means that Joong Gil possesses some warmth to him hidden under his icy cold persona because he can be moved by the lives and the sacrifices of the living too. Ryung Gu also tells Jun Woong that because of the scale of the war, multiple Grim Reapers were called on to assist people to the afterlife which means they also were witness to the horrors of war and it weighed on them too. You also later learn that the reason that Ryeon only wanted to escort criminals was because she had a hard time watching people in their last moments.
I think that a greater understanding between the Grim Reapers grew this episode. Joong Gil showing up to accompany Young Chun in his last moments and Ryeon looking surprised to learn that Joong Gil also does not find it easy to watch people in their last moments indicated to Ryeon that Joong Gil has layers and is not unfeeling (and somewhere deep down there is warmth). Joong Gil also saw how Ryeon has changed in that she stayed by Young Chun’s side even though she still found it difficult to watch people in their last moments. They are both more than each other thought they were. I hope that there can be tentative positive growth in their dynamic because they are so much better working together than they are butting heads. It was also nice in general to see the relative warmth that Joong Gil had at Young Chun’s bedside (which I think also speaks to how much Joong Gil respects Young Chun in comparison to the other souls he has escorted). How he softened when he told Ryeon that no one finds it easy, but that is the work of a Reaper. To watch until the very end. I am invested in the complex character of Joong Gil and his many layers (not just the by-the-rules ice cube) and I hope to see more of it on screen as time goes by.
I think that this episode will always bring me to tears. Always.

lmao how/why am i actually still writing this y'all???? anyway, here's the first finished portion of my new Pillars WIP, working title: God's Children Bathe Free. It's gonna be a one-chapter wonder about an old man takin' a bath and having Feelings about it ♡
It was the third Rytlingsdag of the month.
Having been raised in a land of sub-freezing temperatures and a culture that regarded him as more holy symbol than flesh-and-blood man, Vatnir had only ever rarely found himself in the company of the underdressed. Communal bathing was commonplace in many clans to conserve the energy needed to heat bathwater, but bathing alongside ordinary clanmates wasn't an activity befitting the progeny of a god, apparently, so Vatnir had always been obliged to wash by himself, when he bothered at all. (This was all due to piety, of course. Nothing at all to do with how he looked, how he smelled.) And for a brother or sister of the clan to attempt to initiate any kind of inappropriate intimacy with the High Harbinger, to open their robes to him– why, that was unheard of, a perverted act of unforgivable blasphemy. So while he had gotten glimpses here and there over the decades of kith with their chests bared or their trousers around their knees– Hel, back when he'd still had lips, a drunken reveler had even kissed him once, full on the mouth, during a festival– the priest could honestly say he'd seen more dead people in his life than he had naked people.
So to say that his first evening in Neketaka was a bit of shock to him would be somewhat of an understatement.
"Because it's the third Rytlingsdag of the month." That's all she'd said when he'd asked the Duskspeaker why they were here, in this too-crowded, too-loud, too-bright street in the middle of this twisted pile of a city. Though the sun was setting, the streets of Periki's Overlook were more than adequately illuminated by arcane torches, their eerie blue light glinting off of the glittering cobblestone. Vatnir winced against the unnatural glare as he tried to avert his gaze from the unsettling amount of bare skin around him, and he muttered softly to himself, pondering the uncharacteristically cryptic response the little Watcher had given him. What did the day of the month have to do with dragging him up a crowded, noisy mountain, being shamelessly gawked at by barely-dressed socialites?
"You haven't figured it out yet?" The air suddenly tasted strongly of the sea, and Vatnir turned his head to find Tekēhu looming over his shoulder, that seemingly permanent sensual grin still chiseled into his perfect face. "I say, you are a rare one, friend Vatnir. I almost envy you, your innocence..."
"Don't tease him, Tekēhu." Pallegina's voice had an edge to it– more than usual, even– but Vatnir still spotted a tiny smile playing on the feathered woman's lips. Until she addressed him, of course, and her typical cool scowl returned. "We are heading for the Luminous Bathhouse, priest. The proprietor offers use of the facilities free of charge to all Godlike patrons after sunset on the third Rytlingsdag of every calendar month."
Tekēhu laughed and his hand fell heavily on Vatnir's shoulder, his knobbly knees knocking together under the blow. "Ekera, just so! And he has done so every month for at least as long as I have been in the city, if not longer. A truly magnanimous soul, my heavenly half-brother Ganor. And a wise leader our little Watcher is, to take advantage of such a generous deal!" His sharp, white smile gleamed in the arcane lamplight, and the sickly little elf winced.
The bathhouse. They were going to the bathhouse, ostensibly for a bath. And...
"And... the Duskspeaker expects me to go in there?" Vatnir's near-constant trembling intensified for a moment as he considered the implications. Oh, gods, was he actually going to have to disrobe in public, in front of everyone? In front of the Watcher and her little wizard boyfriend and that horrid animancer woman? ...And was everyone else going to...?
Tekēhu blinked at the horned man, oblivious. "Well... ekera, yes, of course. The baths have no entry fee for Godlikes this evening, we are Godlikes–"
"–and the Watcher likes to take good care of her crew," Pallegina finished for him, slowing her pace to match Vatnir's. She craned her neck to gaze into his face, a spark of concern in her golden eyes. "...Although she would understand, I think, if you'd rather not participate."
"Don't get my hopes up, serra, please," Ydwin sighed as she strolled quickly past the little cluster of Godlikes, and Vatnir shot her a vicious glare that she did not notice at all. Tíkka.
Tekēhu actually gasped, and Vatnir found himself tolerating the man's gigantic, clammy hands on his shoulders yet again. "Not participate? Oh, my dear lady knight, you mustn't suggest such wicked ideas to one who has never experienced the pleasures of the Luminous Bathhouse before! Especially on this day of all days! To allow this poor, pitiable man to pass up the opportunity to luxuriate in those magical waters and not pay a pand for the privilege– it's a crime, I say, and one that I simply cannot condone." He squeezed the priest's shoulders to emphasize his feelings on the matter, and Vatnir grunted in annoyance, wriggling angrily out of the well-meaning fishman's grip. Tekēhu looked positively wounded.
"You will go to the bathhouse with us, won't you?" The watershaper's wet, black eyes fixed themselves on Vatnir, shining opalescent in the streetlights. "You must!"
"Unless you would prefer not to," Pallegina insisted, shooting the tentacle-headed man a look halfway between warning and plea, before turning her attention back to Vatnir, that same concern from before still gleaming in her keen eyes. "You seem to be a bit... overwhelmed by the city. If the bathhouse seems like it might be too much for you, there is no shame in admitting that. But ultimately, the choice is yours to make."
It took the priest a moment to realize that the other two had stopped talking and were staring at him, waiting for him to make up his mind now that his options had been presented. His eyes darted quickly between the other two Godlikes– Tekēhu, making sad eyes at him like an orphaned seal pup, and Pallegina, her cool aloofness only slightly betrayed by one feathered eyebrow cocked ever-so-slightly higher than the other.
And then he looked past them to the fore of their little group, at the Duskspeaker marching confidently up the hill, her broad hips swaying alluringly beneath her bountiful burgundy curls. At Aloth next to her, the muscles in his shoulders and neck taut and firm beneath his smooth, flawless skin. ...At that hairy blue gremlin of a pirate, practically hanging from Ydwin's elbow, cracking wise and peeking back over his shoulder to point and smirk at Vatnir. At Ydwin, responding with yet another infuriating snicker that came, no doubt, at his expense. Vatnir glared petulantly back down at his feet, embarrassed and angry and conflicted.
If I go in there, they'll– everyone in there will see me, look at me. At my ruined body, my horns, what remains of my face. He could already picture the disgust on the other bathers' faces, hear the jeers and exaggerated retching that often accompanied his appearance in a public place. Not that others' opinions of his body had ever really mattered to him before, but it hit a little differently without his High Harbinger clout to protect him. And I'll see them, too. All of them, with... everything that implies. He stole another glimpse at the Watcher's curves, her full, round behind wiggling as she walked– and he instantly regretted it, guilt and shame bubbling up in his gullet like bile.
But... it'll feel nice, at least, the bath will. Probably. And all the other Godlikes there will surely divert some of the attention from me, at least insofar as providing a bunch of other strange bodies for the nosy fools to gawp at. And even if I do have to suffer the indignity of being stared at and mocked, they'll have to endure the experience of perceiving me, too. Hel, it might be worth it to attend just to spoil Ydwin's evening... He pictured the haughty little shrew gathering her things and storming off in a huff, her precious bath ruined by his mere presence, and his lipless mouth twitched into a mangled grin.
"Oh, I..." he sighed, picking absently at a scab, "I could join in just this one time, I suppose. If, as you say, I must." He rolled his eyes back up to meet Tekēhu's, just in time for the giant to pull him close with one arm, crushing the frail priest against his moist, briney torso in an overly energetic side hug.
"Marvelous!" he cried merrily as he lifted the poor man off his feet. "My friend, you won't regret this. I'll make certain of it!"
"Di verus, I think he might regret it a bit already," Pallegina chuckled as she picked up her pace again, the matter settled at last. "Do put him down before you hurt him, aimico."
"Too late," Vatnir gurgled, writhing miserably in the aumaua's grip. This was going to be a difficult evening.

A Look At April 2021
Tumblr media
A Look At April 2021
April on its own, normally nourishes creative energy, although in little different way than March does.  With April, there is a desire or willingness; to bring our creativity a bit more out into the world.  There may be thoughts, of how we can take what we are passionate about; and get that to support us.  We start to think about, how what we are creating, can be done in a healthy way; or we may simply want to see, what kind of adventure or journey that it takes us on.
This year, we find our passions and desires; to be a bit more restricted than normal.  There may be something serving as a block; to getting our message out there.  This can lead to frustration for people; especially if they have no outlet for their creative energy.  The frustration is likely to develop from having the passion and desire to put something out in the world; but not being able to move forward with it, for one reason or another.
What this is telling us, is that we still have more to learn and understand; before we set some things in motion.  This is a way of saying, that we must reconnect with spirit; or connect in a deeper way before things can unfold for us.  This can be a good check point; because if we are too focused in the material side of things, then we have lost the “magic” or the true meaning behind what we are doing.  For things to be enduring and prosperous, they must come from the soul self; or as some may say “God first”.
This month is very favorable for relationships and partnerships.  Love may enter our life; or we may unfold just how solid and true relationships are.  If you have strong relationships and partnerships in your life; then it is worth putting time and energy into that.  If you are trying to create something in the world, or share your creative energy with the world; then your key relationship at this time to foster and nourish, will be that between you and God, or your human self and soul self.
The key with all types of relationships during this time, is unity.  We must come together, and we must work together; and we must understand the importance of true unity by one’s own free will, vs. unity that is forced on people through fear and power tactics.  Where true unity exists, there is nothing that can break it; and it will always be able to stand strong, no matter how challenging or messy things get.
In true unity, there is a strength that brings two or more forces together.  This is often an intuitive, emotional, or soulful connection. It is through that strength, that they can see what is needed in themselves, in the other person or people, and in the world.  As a result, there is a comfort and ease that is found in stillness and silence; because their connection remains, and is known with or without conversation, or physical presence.  It is this knowingness, that victory is brought forth, which unfolds blessings for all. There is success that provides for all; and true sharing and flourishing is the result.
From April 1st – April 19th we are likely to see stress, where there are battles between the spiritual and material aspects of our life.  During this time, it may feel like a tug of war; between doing what our soul wants to do, doing what is truly fulfilling and nourishing for us, and doing what we believe we have to do in order to survive. This can also be a time of great temptations; where material offers and promises are made, that are quite big.  However, accepting them, can require us to support something that goes against our values and ethics; or requires us to sell out in some way.  Be careful of these offers; because it is unlikely that they are rooted in negative energy.
On the positive side, there is a great amount of spiritual energy; and it is much harder for people to be bought during this time.  It is easier for people to stand in their own abundance, and to see the lies, when they are on the soul’s path.  It is during this time, that people may seek out being on their own, over being with others; or are willing to be on their own, instead of being with those that are rooted in materialism.
During this time, we are also likely to see a great amount of striving for power. Power struggles that happen during this time, are almost literally a good vs. evil play.  We will have to understand and realize which side is which; because it is easy to get confused, among the illusions.  Partnerships and alliances will be a strong indicator of who is telling lies and where they are happening.
Another way that we can tell, will be to see who is surrounding themselves with true wisdom; and who is surrounding themselves with those that only appear to be wise, or do whatever they are told.  More importantly than worrying about everyone else during this time, is to center in on your own choices; and consider where you are or are not in command of your own life. Where you are in command of your life, you will be able to experience and open greater abundance for yourself. Where you are not in command of your life, will be where you are turning your power over to others.  It is particularly important, to realize who you are turning your power over to.
A good example is when we have seen protests in our world.  Many times, people think that they are standing in solidarity, or for a good cause; but in reality, what caused the protest, and what groups are involved in the protest, may not be what they started off being.  They may be run and orchestrated, by those that are destroying the very cultures, they are angering people into supporting.  We saw this where George Soros orchestrated the destruction of black culture and neighborhoods; and through that orchestrated people into race wars, and got them to contribute to Black Lives Matter, which ended up having the donations go into funding more terrorist activity. People too often try to jump onto a “spiritual” or “good” cause; without ever really looking into who is really involved.  This is like people that shop at Whole Foods, thinking they are supporting health foods, and living “healthy”; without realizing that they are actually supporting Amazon, and all of the things connected with that.
The key during this time, is that we keep taking command of all areas of our life.  Turbulence and conflict will only arise where we are not in command of it.  If we do this, then we can live a more soul-filled life, which is full of loving relationships and partnerships.  We can have, not only enough for ourselves; but enough to share with others.  We will be living abundantly and richly; regardless of the possessions that we have in this world.  We will be allowing ourselves, to stand in wholeness; and will not be able, to be pulled out of alignment by material things.
From April 20th – April 30th it can be easy to get wrapped up in other people’s games.  It is at this time, that major power structures are being broken up and dismantled. As a result, they are trying to use fear and division to silence people.  This is really nothing new; but when the bullies are using such force, the question should be what don’t they want people to know?  What are they hiding?  If they are in the right, why do they have to be so abusive?
Again, those in this position like to twist and distort things.  One of their greatest ploys, is to make the victim look like the perpetrator; so that attention is deflected from themselves.  They want people to believe, that they have the power to destroy the lives of those that go up against them.  Their only real power is to hold people in fear and division. This always ends up backfiring though; because once someone has nothing left to fear, they also have nothing left to lose.  As a result, they tell the truth; and refuse to be suppressed any further.
This is a time, where we will learn a great deal; from those that are the oppressors and suppressors in our world.  The bullies are teaching us a lot; if we are willing to learn it.  When we refuse to compete and come together as a team; or sit back in observation, and then lead with wisdom from observation, we create an unbeatable force.
It is important to remember, that if we are to learn and teach, as is favored during this time; that it is important to observe the whole situation, and to work together as a team.  Those that are trying to divide and conquer, are unwilling to be on a team; because they are seeking to control, dominate, and rule by fear.  True teams have no ruler; and no need for one.  One of the simplest and least noticed forms of divide and conquer, comes in the form of competition.  Those up to no good, will use things like “what is wrong with a little friendly competition”?  Or, they may say something like “if you think that you are so good, then prove it”.
You see, unless you are trying to dominate someone and validate your own worth; there is no need to compete or have them prove anything to you.  Their desire to have you prove something, is a way for them to observe and see where your weaknesses are; so, they know how to target you.  It is about learning, where they can gain power and control over you.  Do not let others pull you into these games.  The true way to get out of being a victim to others, is to stand up for yourself; without competing against them.  Take action; instead of reacting.
In Summary, this month embrace your frustrations as teachers and guides.  Make certain to stay connected to the “magic” of what you are doing; and re-direct into it, where you feel it dwindling.  Focus on and give attention to, loving relationships and partnerships; especially with yourself and God.  Understand the importance of unity by free will, instead of unity through coercion.
Be careful, of material temptations; and material world accolades, that come with a big price. Stand strong in your own abundance. Look at partnerships and alliances; to be able to see the truth about people, and their agendas.  Take time to center into your own self; and see where you are, and are not, in command of your own life.
Look at who is creating fear and division; and ask lots of questions.  Beware of where things are being twisted and distorted; and where things are made to appear to be something different, than what they are. The apparent perpetrator may really be the victim; and vice versa.  What lessons are the bullies and oppressors teaching us?  Observe the whole situation.  Stay out of even “friendly” competitions
I welcome you to consider how your frustrations are teaching you and guiding you.  What patterns do you have with them?  What if every time you became frustrated, you were being shown valuable information; that you need to move forward?
I welcome you to keep the “magic” alive in what you are doing. What if the “magic” is a sign, of being on your soul’s path; and is sowing you where your human and soul aspects, are working in harmony together?
I welcome you to embrace loving relationships and partnerships into your life, particularly ones with your own self and God.  What if all other relationships, are reflecting your relationship with yourself and God?
I welcome you to stand strong in your own abundance; and realize that what is truly good for you, will not require you to sacrifice your soul, heart, ethics, or morals.  What if your own abundance, creates your successes; and those that are truly helping you, require no sacrifice from you for their help?
I welcome you to question everything where there is fear, division, chaos, and distortions.  What if things are different; than they first appear to be?
What To Focus Our Actions On
From April 1st – April 23rd we need to be careful of false friends; or those that claim they want to be a friend, partner, or start a relationship with us.  While on one hand, this time is very favorable for having relationships and partnerships; on the other, people may use that to deceive or manipulate us.  People may not be what they seem, during this time.
Look to how they are being.  Take the time, to get to know who they truly are as a person.  Do they claim to like you or want to be your friend; and then turn around, and talk to those that have been mean to you?  Do the claim to be a healthy person; but then are out drinking every night, smoking, and eating fast food every day?  Do they claim to be interested in you; but then flirt with nearly everyone else also?
If someone is not as nice as they try to appear; then they will try to push you into a relationship right away.  They will not respect your choices; or honor what your needs are.  If they truly are sincere and caring, they will always be true to their word.  They will stand up for the truth; and will operate with integrity.  They will show respect for all people; and will work from kindness and compassion.
From April 24th through the end of the month, we are likely to see people wanting to take a break from others.  People are tired of the games and the distortions; that are so evident.  Taking time for your own processes and self, will help you reestablish an ability to see what is important to you; and will get you out of the distractions and input of others.  We need to do this sometimes; since it is easy to get confused, by too much input from others.
During this time, it is about centering into the soul’s wisdom.  Success can happen, and victories achieved; but to do this, we will need to be true to ourselves, and stand strong in our soul self.  Some may feel like completely escaping the world at this time; but for most, they just need to focus on themselves, instead of others as much as possible right now.
This is a time, where we must go within, if we are to find true wisdom.  It is through that true wisdom, that we will be able to move past our challenges and initiations; that have been long standing.  As we overcome our challenges and initiations, then we will lay the foundations for a successful future.
I welcome you to know, the true nature of those that want to have relationships with you right now.  What if we took the time to see, the true nature of someone at the beginning of a relationship, instead of later down the line?
I welcome you to look at who people are, when they are not around you. What if they are not who they appear to be; for better or worse?
I welcome you to consider the true values and actions of someone, before beginning a relationship with them; really get to know them first. What if their core values, are very different from yours; and how does that impact the relationship?
I welcome you to take time for yourself; and to remove yourself from the input and distractions of others.  What if others are creating more confusion, than clarity for you?
I welcome you to center into the soul’s wisdom.  What if the soul’s wisdom, helps you to focus on what you need; and gives you the ability to care for your needs?
What To Focus Our Thoughts On
From April 1st – April 4th our mind is very focused on, wanting to be connected with others; and on having relationships.  We may find ourselves tempted to be with someone; or attracted to them, even if they are very different from ourselves.  We may see people enter at this time, that appear to ease or release stress; and that we have a lot of chemistry with.
However, it is also important to keep in mind, that people are not what they appear to be. Our mind is in a place where it is questioning the things that people are telling us; and is realizing, that some things are not matching up.  This is a time, where we may find out that a partner is deceiving us.  While this can be stressful to deal with; it is redirecting us back into our soul self.
We are being shown, where we have held onto the illusion of someone or something; instead of looking at it for what it really is.  As we embrace it for what it really is, we free ourselves from the trials and tests that we have been in.  This in turn, sets us up for a more favorable future; as we focus on what we truly want, and what is rooted in true wisdom, instead of rooted in an illusion.
From April 5th – April 19th we find that there is a tendency to want to rebel, where we are feeling confined and restricted.  Where our responsibilities, obligations, and priorities have become distorted; things will tend to feel heavy and burdensome. It is important, that we look at how to break free from what is not serving us; without being in rebellion, to what has felt restrictive for us.
It is through breaking free, that we can use our power wisely; and to create beneficial aspects for ourselves.  It is through rebellion, that we operate from the confinement of the human self without the soul self; and then misuse our power, leading us to take some hard falls. When we break free, we are not allowing material things to rule us.  When we rebel, we are standing in materialism instead of our abundance.
Our mind is seeking to bring a completion; to those thoughts and aspects, that no longer serve us.  It is seeking to show us, how to ease the heaviness; by showing us, where it is. It is trying to help us, to see where we are reliant on others to tell us what to do; or where we let them influence us, instead of making our own choices and decisions.  It is re-birthing into an abundance mindset, which can support and nourish us, through transformation and transitions.
April 20th thru the end of the month, our mind is seeking peace.  This is a time where we can get overwhelmed, with the lies, games, politics, and bullies.  We are likely to feel tired, with those that constantly try to compete with us; because they are unable, to embrace loving and supportive relationships.
Relationships are a powerful piece for helping us to get through things right now, if they are rooted in true love and support.  Unconditional love is available to us from others; but we must see who is offering us that gift.  Those that are truly loving us, are the ones that will be there for us, when we are having those mental breakdowns and enduring the aggressiveness of others.
Take time to see who is able to bring calm, peace, and serenity to you, when things are rough. See who is able to sit still with you and supports what is truly important to you; instead of discounting all of your ideas.  See who is willing to be there for you; without needing anything in return.  The people that do this, are those that truly love you.  They don’t do it just once, or to get your attention; but they do it repeatedly.
I welcome you to not rush into new relationships; until you really get to know the person, and the aspects of chemistry settle down.  What if stress or chemistry, is leading you to accept anyone; instead of someone that truly cares?
I welcome you to keep in mind, that people may not be what they seem right now; for better or worse.  What if we looked at people for only one moment, day, or evening of their life; would we be getting the full and true picture about them?
I welcome you to consider where you have been holding onto illusions about people; instead of looking at them for who they really are.  Are you only seeing what you want to see; or what they want you to see?  What if our illusions, fantasies, and images; are keeping us, from experiencing true relationships?
I welcome you to break free of things that do not serve you; without rebelling against them.  What if you simply walked away from what wasn’t working; instead of fighting with it every day?
I welcome you to consider, where you rely on the opinions of others; and where you are comfortable making your own decisions.  What if you were comfortable in making all of your own choices; and didn’t have to rely on the opinions of others?
I welcome you to give your mind a peaceful break; and to take time, to experience the pleasant things around you.  What if allowing our mind peaceful times and experiences; naturally removes the drama out of our life, in more effortless ways?
I welcome you to know who offers you unconditional love, is there for you through your mental breakdowns, and stands at your side when others are not being nice.  What if these are the relationships, that you have been seeking; but have not been seeing?
I welcome you to be with those, that know how to provide you with calm and peace; and can sit quietly available to you when needed, and encourage you to fulfill your dreams.  What if these are the people, that truly care about you?
   Connecting To Our Soul Self
From April 1st – April 14th our hearts strings are really being pulled and tugged at.  This is a time, where if there is any deception in relationships; it is likely to surface.  This can be particularly hard, especially if we have invested a lot of our heart, time, and energy into it; only to find out, that it is not what we thought it was, or to experience betrayal.
On the other hand, we can also find that it is our loving relationships and partnerships; that carry us through the lies, deception, and manipulation of others in our life.  It is a time, where we can find if our partners are able to stand strong with us; and not let others create separation.  During this time, we are likely to be under stress; due to being on the edge, of some big victories.
It will be our ability to act with wisdom, and from the heart; that will bring forth our victories.  In essence, it is our ability to stand in our soul self, that opens the doors; instead of closes them.  As these victories come through, we may also be called to consider where we want to go from here.  As the truth is shown to you, what will you do with that information; and what resonates, with your heart and values?
From April 15th thru the rest of the month, it is all about learning to find our own strength; and to find happiness with our own self, instead of from others. It is a time, where our heart is seeking freedom; but may be pulled into unexpectedly feeling a need, to help others. What this reminds me of, is a call to be emotionally available; and not emotionally dependent.
Heart wisdom is a key concept right now.  That means, that it is important that we listen to our heart; and that is not always the same as our emotions, and it so important to know the difference between the two.  Our emotions may want to be with someone and try to force a relationship to work out; while our heart, is calling to be accepted for who we are, instead of an image.
Authenticity in relationships, is a big theme right now; and those that are not standing in authenticity, are likely to create drama with unexpected events or crises. This is like the narcissist, or attention seeker; that will have an issue, just so they can get attention from the person they want.  This is a form of manipulation; and it is important, that we do not play into those games.  The key is finding out how to care; without playing the games.
The soul self is likely, to actually just be happier being alone; and this can be a great time, for personal retreats, that are centered on making personal achievements. The soul finds some of its greatest fulfillment, by staying focused on what allows you freedom; and provides you with the ability, to honor being able to be more spontaneous, and free flowing. It will be happier, without heavy structures and schedules.
During this time, the weather is very connected to our emotions.  It is important, to know where you feel emotional, and in what way. If you are highly emotional, it is important that you pay attention for sudden storms or other events of nature showing up.  It will not be the time to take chances; and you will be best to play it safe.
I welcome you to allow those that truly care for you, to be there for you.  What if allowing loving relationships to be present for you, allows you to reduce trauma; and rewires you into loving energy, within you?
I welcome you to see your stress, as an indication of where success is about to happen.  What if stress and tension, are a natural part of the process of creating something wonderful?
I welcome you to find your own strength; and to be happy with your own self.  What if you were emotionally available; but not emotionally dependent?  What if happiness with your own self, draws in truly loving relationships and partnerships?
I welcome you to work with the heart’s wisdom.  What if the heart’s wisdom, allows you to be loved and appreciated; for being your own authentic self?
I welcome you to enjoy time with yourself; and to allow yourself personal retreat time.  What if taking time for yourself, is what allows you to experience a strong sense of fulfillment; through being more spontaneous, and free flowing?

Now that the ask box is open again, I want to ask if you do soulmate AU's? If so, could you write an AU that you have the first words your soulmate says to you printed on your wrist. And that the words Tsukishima has on his wrists is something really negative. How he would react when he would hear his soulmate say those words. (Is this understandable? I feel like this was really confusing)
A) Soulmate AU’s are the reason I’m aliveB) Get ready for insecure Tsukishima Kei because that’s how I write this nut + this fits so perfectly for my headcanons of him I’m bawling y’all
Golden, silky cursive down the muscle on his wrist. It would’ve been so beautiful, if not for the words they said.
“You’re a failure.”
Words appeared during puberty, the peak of your hormonal blossoming. They started out faded, barely noticeable, and as time progressed, they became bold, powerful, the center of every pubescent teens sad, hopeful life. The very moment the faded gold ink first began to bleed into him at thirteen years old, Tsukishima Kei already knew he was beyond fucked. At thirteen years old he was lost, Jean Louise Finch in “To Set A Watchman”, discovering the bitter, cold truth. At thirteen years old he wasn’t ready for love, the only love he ever had washed down in the drain along with any jubilance he had left. At thirteen years old with the constant reminder of absolute pessimism lingering on his wrist while other boys fawned over sweet subliminal messages of infatuation, Tsukishima Kei lost himself more.
At fourteen years old he ripped himself apart. The gold ink that bled into his pale, scar shaven skin was still prominent, becoming brighter each time the flesh was bruised. He tried, he really did, to make himself the image of perfection. Knowing that one day, the person who he was to be tied to for eternity would think of him as a failure was just another weight onto his already collapsing being. Yamaguchi hit puberty later than he did, he peaked right after the first semester of their third year of middle school, and as he began to grow, the turquoise tangent on his wrist grew too. “Don’t be upset, I could name one hundred things I admire about you” it read, and Kei couldn’t help but wonder how Yamaguchi managed to be so fatefully tied to a woman of wisdom while he was anchored to a pit of pessimism.
When he was fifteen years old, he couldn’t take it anymore. When high school came, the hype of soulmates did nothing but erupt even more. Outside of volleyball, the only thing his volleyball team ever seemed to talk about was soulmates. Beautiful, funny statements in soft purples and reds and blues, they were all so lively yet Kei couldn’t wonder how his statement out of all of them was colored bright gold. As the year went on he grew tired, the eerie message doing nothing but causing him grief. He couldn’t help but dread recalling midterms, when all that went through his mind when he was studying is the cute gold calligraphy of ‘failure’. Yamaguchi found his soulmate, a lively one from a rival school, a kind, wise hearted soul just like Yamaguchi always dreamed. His friends, or acquaintances, as he liked to put it, we’re falling in love and finding themselves left and right, and by the time spring arrived and every first year on the team found his soulmate, even standoffish Kageyama who couldn’t talk to a female for his life, he drew the conclusion that he might as well be alone forever. That thought was ridiculous though, he knew it. He still had well over seventy years of his life left, and six years left of education, so not finding his soulmate in his first year of highschool would definitely not render him lonely. Although, he felt like it. He felt alone, and it made him feel pathetic. It made him feel like a failure just like those bloody golden words on his wrist prophesied.
He drove himself to move away at nineteen. He hadn’t found anything in his eighteen years in Japan and he hoped, and prayed there would be something for him beyond the borders of the familiar. So, he set off for Cornell, an Ivy League college in America. It was risky, it really was, even if he was the top of his English class. They had a good multicultural scene over there, he was told, and for some reason, that just dragged him in further. His wanderlust grew and grew the more and more he looked around into the vast world in front of him and by the time he was already settled into Cornell, he just wanted to pack his bags and travel somewhere else again. He couldn’t though, at least not until junior year. Cornell was treating him nice, a cosy establishment in the middle of nowhere and honestly, it reminded him a bit of home. If you traveled to the highest point on campus all you could see was miles of rolling hills and maple trees, crows flocking through the air at the break of dawn and the familiar chill down his spine in the winter. Although through it all, he still hadn’t met his soulmate. His brother encouraged him to still have hope through it all. “I didn’t find my soulmate until senior year, you still have time!” He would say, but Kei would just shake his head.
He was in his junior year of college and he was presented with an opportunity of international education, an opportunity every college student hoped and prayed to have. He was going to Copenhagen, and he knew exactly why. Out of 196 countries and tens of thousands of cities, he chose Copenhagen, the heart of a freezing Nordic wonderland. It was said to be the happiest place on earth and to be frank, there was nothing Tsukishima needed in his life more than an optimistic habitat. So, as soon as the second semester came, he didn’t waste a minute hopping onto that plane.
At first, Copenhagen was weird. It wasn’t that he didn’t like it, it was just unfamiliar. It was far too optimistic, streets lined with bars and old woman walking dogs, college students in beanies smoking weed on apartment balconies. Everyone carried an “I don’t give a shit” vibe and just as Tsukishima thought he would maybe, finally meet his soulmate, he was shut down. Everyone in this city seemed to be far too nice to utter such a thing as the thing on his wrist. He was ready to give up.
It was Friday morning and Tsukishima wanted to die. His roommate was already up, playing loud, headache inducing music from his side of the dorm. As much as he’d hate to admit, he got himself drunk last night, well really, his roommate got him drunk last night, it was the bastards idea to buy three crates of beer for a small frat party. He sat up in bed and groaned, not even attempting to hold back his displeasure. “I didn’t think you’d be such a lightweight, Kei.” His roommate snorted, turning off his music to slump next to Tsukishima’s bed frame. “You want a water or something, buddy?”“Don’t call me a fucking lightweight, I had eight beers.” He rubbed his eyes harshly, not sure if the stars he saw were from the rubbing or the alcohol that still lingered in his system. “But yeah, the water would be nice. Thank you.” Tsukishima really hated himself in that moment. He was never one to be late for classes, never one to drink on a school night. Tsukishima Kei was never, not once in his life, ten minutes late for an eight o'clock class on the other side of campus. Although today, he broke the lucky streak.“Oh, are you fucking kidding me?” He muttered to himself, mustering up all his willpower to get out of his bed. His knees wobbled underneath him as he wasted no time getting dressed, chugging an entire water bottle in second, and throwing the empty container right back at his roommate. “Don’t pee yourself out there, dumbass!”“Fuck off, Mathias.” Was his reply, slamming the door behind him and immediately regretting his decisions from right now and the night before. Everything hurt, absolutely ached, and he began to wonder if perfect attendance was really worth the torture he was sure to endure in the next two hours. He pushed himself though, because skipping out would just mean that he was a failure.
By the time he arrived he was thirty minutes late. People were gawking at him, obviously taking notice of how he looked like an absolute wreck. He knew his eyebags had to be atrocious, but he was hoping and praying that he didn’t look like the walking dead. He took a quick seat in the back of the room, hoping that once he sat down people would lose interest and forget him. They did, one or two students still making nasty remarks a few rows in front of him. If he hadn’t cared so much about his reputation (and his mother’s money) he would’ve thrown his textbook at the back of their heads. The girl next to him fidgeted, scooting down the bench slightly to get away from him. She looked a tad bit uncomfortable, and part of him wanted to feel a bit guilty for her. He probably still smelled like alcohol, he thought.
“I’m sorry, I’m a failure.” He snorted, once he caught her eye and got his things situated. Tsukishima didn’t know why he thought a self deprecating joke would lighten the mood, for her eyes just widened and looked down at the laptop in front of her. “Oh, sure, you’re a failure.” She commented back, her sarcasm blatantly evident. She pointed towards a pile of papers on her desk and said something else, but Tsukishima had short circuited far too long ago to process the words she said next. His whole life was a misconception. Six years of acceptance and self consciousness all derived from one, big, misconception. She was the one to bring the words on her wrist to his attention. Small, blocky orange writing stating “I’m sorry, I’m a failure.” He still couldn’t process words, his wrist feeling as if it were burning. His gut was roiling and he absolutely couldn’t believe the horrendous irony this situation reeked with. The professor kept talking, droning away about the history of a long dead African tribe, but he didn’t care.“I don’t think you realize how much these words have made me hate myself these past few years.” he muttered into her ear, breath shaky and languid from the adrenaline rush he experienced. “I don’t think you know how worried I’ve been for you these past few years.” She replied, her fingers absentmindedly running over her wrist. “I thought I’d meet you on a bridge.”“Don’t say that.”“Well, I thought I would.” She shrugged, nudging his hip and motioning him to collect his things. “Let’s get out of here.” She implied, already shoving her laptop back into her purse. “But I just got here.” He argued.“But I just met my soulmate. C’mon, nobody’s going to think you’re a failure.”

Today’s reading in the ancient book of Proverbs and Psalms
for Wednesday, june 24 of 2020 with Proverbs 24 and Psalm 24 accompanied by Psalm 5 for the 5th day of Summer and Psalm 26 for day 176 of the year
[Proverbs 24]
Don’t envy the wealth of the wicked or crave their company.
For they’re obsessed with causing trouble
and their conversations are corrupt.
Wise people are builders—
they build families, businesses, communities.
And through intelligence and insight
their enterprises are established and endure.
Because of their skilled leadership
the hearts of people are filled with the treasures of wisdom
and the pleasures of spiritual wealth.
Wisdom can make anyone into a mighty warrior,
and revelation-knowledge increases strength.
Wise strategy is necessary to wage war,
and with many astute advisers
you’ll see the path to victory more clearly.
Wisdom is a treasure too lofty for a quarreling fool—
he’ll have nothing to say when leaders gather together.
There is one who makes plans to do evil—
Master Schemer is his name.
If you plan to do evil, it’s as wrong as doing it.
And everyone detests a troublemaker.
If you faint when under pressure,
you have need of courage.
Go and rescue the perishing! Be their savior!
Why would you stand back and watch them stagger to their death?
And why would you say, “But it’s none of my business”?
The one who knows you completely and judges your every motive
is also the keeper of souls—and not just yours!
He sees through your excuses and holds you responsible
for failing to help those whose lives are threatened.
Revelation-knowledge is a delicacy,
sweet like flowing honey that melts in your mouth.
Eat as much of it as you can, my friend!
For then you will perceive what is true wisdom,
your future will be bright,
and this hope living within will never disappoint you.
Listen up, you wicked, irreverent ones—
don’t harass the lovers of God
and don’t invade their resting place.
For the lovers of God may suffer adversity
and stumble seven times,
but they will continue to rise over and over again.
But the unrighteous are brought down by just one calamity
and will never be able to rise again.
Never gloat when your enemy meets disaster
and don’t be quick to rejoice if he falls.
For the Lord, who sees your heart,
will be displeased with you and will pity your foe.
Don’t be angrily offended over evildoers or be agitated by them.
For the wicked have no life and no future—
their light of life will die out.
My child, stand in awe of the Lord Jehovah!
Give counsel to others,
but don’t mingle with those who are rebellious.
For sudden destruction will fall upon them
and their lives will be ruined in a moment.
And who knows what retribution they will face!
[Revelation from the Wise]
Those enlightened with wisdom have spoken these proverbs:
Judgment must be impartial,
for it is always wrong to be swayed by a person’s status.
If you say to the guilty, “You are innocent,”
the nation will curse you and the people will revile you.
But when you convict the guilty,
the people will thank you and reward you with favor.
Speaking honestly is a sign of true friendship.
Go ahead, build your career and give yourself to your work.
But if you put me first, you’ll see your family built up!
Why would you be a false accuser and slander with your words?
Don’t ever spitefully say, “I’ll get even with him!
I’ll do to him what he did to me!”
One day I passed by the field of a lazy man
and I noticed the vineyards of a slacker.
I observed nothing but thorns, weeds, and broken-down walls.
So I considered their lack of wisdom,
and I pondered the lessons I could learn from this:
Professional work habits prevent poverty from becoming
your permanent business partner. And:
If you put off until tomorrow the work you could do today,
tomorrow never seems to come.
The Book of Proverbs, Chapter 24 (The Passion Translation)
[Psalm 24]
The Glorious King
David’s poetic praise to God
God claims the world as his.
Everything and everyone belongs to him!
He’s the one who pushed back oceans
to let the dry ground appear,
planting firm foundations for the earth.
Who, then, ascends into the presence of the Lord?
And who has the privilege of entering into God’s Holy Place?
Those who are clean—whose works and ways are pure,
whose hearts are true and sealed by the truth,
those who never deceive, whose words are sure.
They will receive the Lord’s blessing
and righteousness given by the Savior-God.
They will stand before God,
for they seek the pleasure of God’s face, the God of Jacob.
Pause in his presence
So wake up, you living gateways!
Lift up your heads, you ageless doors of destiny!
Welcome the King of Glory,
for he is about to come through you.
You ask, “Who is this Glory-King?”
The Lord, armed and ready for battle,
the Mighty One, invincible in every way!
So wake up, you living gateways, and rejoice!
Fling wide, you ageless doors of destiny!
Here he comes; the King of Glory is ready to come in.
You ask, “Who is this King of Glory?”
He is the Lord of Victory, armed and ready for battle,
the Mighty One, the invincible commander of heaven’s hosts!
Yes, he is the King of Glory!
Pause in his presence
The Book of Psalms, Poem 24 (The Passion Translation)
[Psalm 5]
Song of the Clouded Dawn
For the Pure and Shining One
For her who receives the inheritance, by King David
Listen, Yahweh, to my passionate prayer!
Can’t you hear my groaning?
Don’t you hear how I’m crying out to you?
My King and my God, consider my every word,
for I am calling out to you.
At each and every sunrise you will hear my voice
as I prepare my sacrifice of prayer to you.
Every morning I lay out the pieces of my life on the altar
and wait for your fire to fall upon my heart.
I know that you, God, are never pleased with lawlessness,
and evil ones will never be invited as guests in your house.
Boasters collapse, unable to survive your scrutiny,
for your hatred of evildoers is clear.
You will make an end of all those who lie.
How you hate their hypocrisy and despise all who love violence!
But I know that you will welcome me into your house,
for I am covered by your covenant of mercy and love.
So I come to your sanctuary with deepest awe
to bow in worship and adore you.
Yahweh, lead me in the pathways of your pleasure
just like you promised me you would,
or else my enemies will conquer me.
Smooth out your road in front of me,
straight and level so that I will know where to walk.
Their words are unreliable.
Destruction is in their hearts,
drawing people into their darkness with their speeches.
They are smooth-tongued deceivers, flattering with their words.
Declare them guilty, O God!
Let their own schemes be their downfall!
Let the guilt of their sins collapse on top of them,
for they rebel against you.
But let them all be glad,
those who turn aside to hide themselves in you.
May they keep shouting for joy forever!
Overshadow them in your presence as they sing and rejoice.
Then every lover of your name will burst forth with endless joy.
Lord, how wonderfully you bless the righteous.
Your favor wraps around each one and covers them
under your canopy of kindness and joy.
The Book of Psalms, Poem 5 (The Passion Translation)
[Psalm 26]
A song of David.
Declare my innocence, O Eternal One!
I have walked blamelessly down this path.
I placed my trust in the Eternal and have yet to stumble.
Put me on trial and examine me, O Eternal One!
Search me through and through—from my deepest longings to every thought that crosses my mind.
Your unfailing love is always before me;
I have journeyed down Your path of truth.
My life is not wasted among liars;
my days are not spent among cheaters.
I despise every crowd intent on evil;
I do not commune with the wicked.
I wash my hands in the fountain of innocence
so that I might join the gathering that surrounds Your altar, O Eternal One.
From my soul, I will join the songs of thanksgiving;
I will sing and proclaim Your wonder and mystery.
Your house, home to Your glory, O Eternal One, radiates its light.
I am fixed on this place and long to be nowhere else.
When Your wrath pursues those who oppose You,
those swift to sin and thirsty for blood,
spare my soul and grant me life.
These men hold deceit in their left hands,
and in their right hands, bribery and lies.
But God, I have walked blamelessly down this path,
and this is my plea for redemption.
This is my cry for Your mercy.
Here I stand secure and confident
before all the people; I will praise the Eternal.
