Something about Zoya saying love doesn't heal you but it makes you stronger if you face hardships together. and the love gets stronger. Nikolai and Zoya weren't there to fix or heal each other they still have insecurities and scars but they accepted each other they way they were. they did make each other stronger by being there for one another. whether it is Zoya helping Nikolai move forward when he's hopeless, ensuring him he didn't fail them or Nikolai promising Zoya to help her bloom or being a light in their darkest hour. They keep each other marching. For Zoya (and Nikolai ig) the definition of love is moving each other forward no what the circumstances are. No matter how hard it gets they keep moving together and i love that.
Unpopular opinion but I don't want soc#3, not because one of the Crows will die - I don't mind that if it's done in a beautiful and meaningful way- but because if they continue the plot from Rule of Wolves then a Crow would die doing something for the fucking Darkling, and and I don't think I could see any of my faves stop breathing for that abusive bitch cow
i love zoya's chapters because she's just like "i wake up at 5am every morning to go wake up the king up from his medically induced coma and unchain him from his bed prison. i think he should get married soon. also if i was in charge i would have killed a lot more people after the civil war ended."
i figured i should probably post this here, so here is show zoya!! i definitely won’t be leaving my version of her, but sujayas performance was just immaculate and i needed to draw her. go watch shadow and bone on netflix right now!!
