I feel like we don’t talk about the Shower Scene (TM) nearly enough.

I mean, here Neil is, after having spent his life running from everyone and everything, after getting literally nothing but pain in place of any affection (ta, Mary.), after being so adverse to any form of connection or anything that could keep him somewhere, trap him somewhere, willingly letting a psychotic midget look after him.

And not only this, but the fact that he’s probably in the weakest, most vulnerable state he’s ever been in around Andrew (besides that first trip to Edens), with his hands bundled away (he can’t even undress himself), injuries covering his hands, arms, and face, having just returned from an ordeal where he was 1000% certain he was going to die, and yet not once does he stop and think “Hm. Andrew could hurt me right now.”

All it is for him is a little awkward.

He’s never been in such a vulnerable state and had someone not take advantage of it to hurt him further (ta, Riko), and yet not once does he consider that maybe Andrew might do the same.

His trust in those moments is absolutely incredible, what Andrew managed to achieve with him was incredible, and somehow the Foxes still managed to see Andrew as a monster.
