Gosh your hospital AU is crazy sweet! Would you do another one? Just loved the idea and their dynamic!
Thena looks up from her charts, finding a protein bar wiggling its way into her view.
"Delivery for a Miss--no, Doctor Thena?"
Thena smiles, no matter how much she doesn't feel like it. Because Gil can always get her to smile, even after she's pulled an 18 hour shift to cover for absentee residents, handled some truly uncooperative patients and just wants to sleep face down on the floor.
"How you holdin' up?" he whispers, sitting himself next to her on the on-call bunk bed. He slips his hands back into his hoodie pockets as she accepts and unwraps the snack (white chocolate and cranberry: her favourite).
"Better now," she promises, sighing as she chews. She flaps around the paper copies of her charts that need signing off on, "I miss Ajak."
The nurse who did indeed keep things running smoothly had only gotten off shift an hour and a half ago.
"These are all done, though, right?" he guessed, peeking at them in her tight little fist. "You're just signing off on discharges?"
"Yeah," she sighed, sagging on the bed even heavier. "I'm just about done. Just this last little stretch always kills me."
"Yeah, last run is always the hardest," Gil sympathises, and she knows he knows exactly what they mean by it. He pulls the papers from her hand before she can abuse them further.
"How was your day?" Thena asks, although she pauses in her chewing just to yawn.
"Pretty quiet, actually," he smiles, although really he's making sure she finishes the whole protein bar. "Kingo spent most the run making tiktoks, so..."
Thena gulps down her bite and laughs. Gil feels at least a little bit better at hearing the magical sound.
"I know you're dying to get home, but maybe a little power nap wouldn't hurt before you get behind the wheel of any sort of vehicle."
"I know, I know," she groans, taking another bite of power bar as he takes her stethoscope from around her neck and even pulls out her ponytail for her. She moans even louder as he massages her head, relieving the tension that has become subconsciously ingrained into her at this point.
Gil pulls her to lean against him, wrapping his arm around her and trying to, as subtly as possible, get his other arm out of the sleeve so he can secure it entirely over her shoulders as a blanket. "They need to assign more interns to this place."
Thena shrugs, already leaning quite heavily on him as the warmth of him permeates her tired bones and the smell of him on his hoodie lulls her into relaxation. "They don't come down here to learn trauma care, they come here when they need extra cash."
Gil just rolls his eyes. Thena works herself to the bone, seeing everyone from people who have very normal reasons to come in and just can't make it to clinics because of their work schedules, to very real and urgent traumatic emergencies. And she and Ajak get so little thanks for it.
Thena is actively and visibly drifting off, turning her face into his bicep as she makes her self more comfortable against him. "What about you? When are you off?"
Gil is technically off duty now, also supposed to be heading home. But he's here because he asked Ajak if Thena was heading out too, only to learn that she was fulfilling the last of her 18 hours. And he would be damned if he trusted her to take proper care of herself when she was exhausted.
And he certainly wasn't going to let anyone else take care of her in his place, either.
"Gil?" Thena asks again, although she wraps both of her arms around his one, as if he's her own personal teddy bear.
"I'm off too," he whispers, leaning his head against hers as she dozes off against him, sitting up and wrapped in his work hoodie over her scrubs.
But she's sleeping, and it's all he wanted when he came in here.
The door opens and one of the interns - either very early or extremely late - pokes their head in. "Um, is Doctor Thena-"
"Get out," Gil glares at them, utterly remorseless for the harsh treatment. His eyes burn a hole in them, "quietly."
They do so, pulling the door closed for him as quietly as humanly possible.
The trauma surgeon from upstairs will be coming down any minute to take over for her anyway. And Gil is ready to sit up with Thena for as long as she stays asleep. He'll carry her to her car and drive her home if he has to.
Although part of him wants to stay here and let her hold onto his arm like this forever.
Thena mumbles in her sleep, and Gil smiles. She denies it every time he brings it up to her, but she's a sleep talker--mumbles out anything from patient charts to what she wants to eat when she wakes up. It's an oddly cute habit for the Goddess of War to have, which is why she denies it so vehemently.
Gil kisses her forehead, "go home?"
"Home," she sighs in agreement, still holding onto him. She's very deserving of her next 24 hours off, he thinks.
She won't like it--she'll be mortified if she thinks about the interns seeing it. But Gil knows what has to be done. He tries to pull his arm out of her grasp, only for her to whine at him faintly. He laughs under his breath. "I'm gonna take you home, honey."
Gil manages to extract his arm so he can pick her up bridal style, bundling her up in his arms so he can grab her backpack on the way. He does take a route that's not out the main entrance to the ER, for the sake of Thena's pride.
He carries her out the ambulance bay doors, heading for his car to drive her home. The paramedics getting ready for their first run of the day wave to him. He nods his head, and they seem to understand that he has cargo far too precious to risk waking.

Hawuu could i request prompts 9. standing up for a loved one and 42.realizing their feelings for Druig (if two prompts aren't allowed you can pick 42) thanks
A/N - Hawuu! Thanks for requesting this, dear friend! I love this for Druig, and I'll do number 42 for you! Thanks again!
Hold
Summary - Druig had a hold on you, whether you knew it or not
Tumblr media
Warnings - Just a hint of angst but mostly fluff
Tumblr media Tumblr media
“Let’s go for a swim,”
“What about Ajak and her meeting?  And you know I can’t swim!”
“You can still put your feet in and sit near the edge, and that meeting is not for another hour or so, we can slip away for a quick swim at the lake, don’t you think?”
You grabbed your bag and followed Makkari out of the Domo, Makkari wishing to walk since running wouldn’t be as fun.  The weather was nice and too warm for your liking to hide away in the Domo all day long, and since there was going to do with the humans that morning the Eternals were a bit restless.  So Sersi and Ikaris went off together for a walk, Kingo went to the market to shop and mingle with the humans, Gilgamesh took Thena off riding along the riverbanks, Phastos worked on some inventions in his lab, and Sprite stayed behind in her room to read some of the books Makkari got her.
Druig ventured off earlier that morning before the heat came in, which was coming for him since he was mostly one to be on his own and ponder his thoughts and predictions about the humans.  You knew he liked the solstice most of the time, but not always.  He was more hardwired to think deeper and more sensible when it came to the human race, not that the others didn’t.  But with how he would talk to you about wishing there to be peace, wishing to stop all the hurt that they would inflict on one another, you knew how deep his heart and soul was.
It was so easy to fall into a friendship with him, yet in the back of your mind you wondered if it would go past that.
Makkari was humming along as you two were talking together along the that you knew would lead to the lake.  With the sun beating down on the back of your neck and the sweet smells of the wildflowers that already bloomed, you were looking forward to unwind. Some of the recent tasks and jobs you had to do for the humans in their city seemed a bit stressful and uneasy, especially with a couple of near death experiences with Deviants.  But thankfully, you were going to leave the city in a few days.  It was both bittersweet and celebrated since you all grew to love the humans there and some of the hidden gems.
Including the very lake you are going to.
Once the lake was in sight, you saw Makkari have a pep in her step as the clear blue waters was seen over the little hill.  You were revived too, thinking that a dip in the lake would be the best relief on a warm day.  Yet you never realized that you two would have company, since you froze in your spot on the path from seeing a singular person in the lake.  Instantly you knew who it was: the ivory skin was glistened in the water, the highlighted brown hair against a pale forehead, and bright blue eyes that almost mirrored the same shade of the. Lake water.
Druig.
He was still wearing his dark undergarment pants while he was swimming, his muscular back was on display as he was moving back and forth in the lake and going stroke for stroke.  Of course he was your friend, all the time he was your friend and someone you could rely on with your own troubles and needs.  Then again, you always had the small possibility of liking him as more than a friend.
Knowing how massive his heart was, now kind he was to the humans that he spoke to, how self assured he was with his beliefs and how he felt about him, that were all great attributes that loved and adored him.  Plus it never helped that you saw him as handsome.  Even now as you were watching him swim, freely and with nothing hindering him, he looked almost heavenly in the blue waters.
Did you like him?
“Hey!  You two comin’ to join me for a swim?” You were snapped back into reality as you heard Druig call out from his spot in the water.
Sorry to break up your solo time, Makkari signed as she walked down the path to the edge of the lake Druig waving her off.
“It’s fine!  Come on in, the water’s nice!  Plus it’s the once place Ikkaris honest know about, get the golden boy can’t swim like you ladies can,” Druig joked as Makkari was now to her own undergarments.  You made it to the edge too, slowly getting down to your undergarments wig ease as Makkari was not waddling not the water.  You could hear her sigh in relief as she was getting now calf deep in the water and then to her waist.  Once you are down to your undergarments which included pants and a shirt, you dipped your toes in to feel the sudden chill of the water.  It made you shiver a bit, and you look out to see there was a massive shallow area in the lake before it dips in deep.
Druig was laughing while Makkari was swimming circles around him, her own smile was just as radiant as the lake water while you were going in a bit deeper and deeper, now about knee deep and right at the edge of the shallow area.  The small little dip that dropped off was right in front of it, and although you were an all powerful Eternal who had more strength in your fingers than any human, you were still afraid to attempt to swim.  After one nasty attempt to try and learn, all thanks to Kingo, you decided to wait to learn.  Sure it seemed childish, but you didn’t care, you weren’t ready.  Maybe you’re still not.
“Hey, want me to hold ya?”
Druig swam up to the small edge, hovering a bit in the water as he was looking up at you with his glistened hair against his forehead and his eyes beyond bright.  You blinked, fiddling with your fingers.
“What?” You asked.
“I’ll hold ya if you want,” He explained, sounding calm and gentle with you.  He knew you never swam and you had some fear swimming, he was even mad at Kingo for almost letting you drown when you were trying to learn from him, but Druig himself never pushed you into learning.  It was one of the moments that you never forgot about Druig, his heart for you and making sure you are okay.  This was the same way.
“Here, come sit,” he said, gesturing to the ledge that was under the water.  Carefully you sat, feeling the water now to your waist and your feel dangling over the edge and in front of Druig.  You felt your heart get quick, your hands shaking a bit from being on the top of the water.  Druig sensed it and moved, lacing your fingers together and being palm to palm.  Instantly, you felt his skin along yours, almost like his rhythmic heartbeat that he was pressing against your own hand.
“Look at me,” He said soothingly, your eyes going from his joined hands over him.  He was staring right into your eyes, looking rather calm and sincere with you as he spoke again, “I won’t let ya go, I promise.”
Nodding your head, you took the first moving and slid into the deep water.  Your heart plummeted and you were about to gasp out when an arm was instantly around your waist.  Your arm was along his shoulder, clinging to you for a moment since you were now hovering in the water and Druig was holding you up.  You should feel fear, genuine fear since the last time you tried this, you almost drowned.  But this was different, this was another feeling.
Safe.  You wee safe.
“There.  See?” Druig said as he was still holding you close to him and giving you a warm smile.  That’s when it hit you, in the right moment as you grinned back at him.  All of those fleeting feelings that you were harboring and wondering were true, all of those times you two spent together on the Domo or out with the humans, they were making sense now as Druig was helping you in such a vulnerable moment.  The fear was gone, the worry and wondering was non existent, what you were feeling for Druig was true.
That’s when it hit you: you did like him.  Really liked him.  Oh…
“Thank you,” You replied lightly, seeing him grin get a bit bigger in return.  Yeah, yeah you had it bad for the mind controller.
A splash got on both you and Druig’s faces, you both looking over to see Makkari grinning as she waved.
“Aye, that’s not fair Makkari!” Druig said in a playful tease as Makkari rolled her eyes.  You had no idea that Druig was thinking that same thing as you were as he held you close, that he too liked you for so long but was trying to figure out his own feelings and where his heart stayed. If he could, Druig would hold you just a close for as long as he could since he knew you felt safe with him.
And neither of you knew that Makkari already knew of your feelings for one another.  She simply rolled her eyes and swam away, wondering when you two will ever get together.
The End

Healing A Broken Heart (Part 1)
Summary :
You and Wanda are in love. At least you thought so. During a particularly bad fight, she tells you that if she had a choice, she wouldn't be with you.
And that, in your thousands years of life, is the most painful thing you've ever heard that was said to you.
PS. This was inspired by that one reddit post and it snowballed from there.
-
You drink another shot. For the past few weeks and so, this is the only thing you've done during the nights. Drink.
As if it could make you forget. Forget the pain. Forget the memories. Forget Wanda.
But it couldn't, it was only for the night for you still remember everything the day after.
You really hated being a semi-eternal.
You were created to be with the other eternals but there was something wrong with you. You didn't have any powers.
Still, Arishem sent you along with Ajak and the others as a reporter.
You had the immortality and physique but nothing else.
Still, Sersei, Makkari, Sprite, Kingo, Phastos, Thena, Ajak, Druig and Gilgamesh were family.
So you did exactly what you were sent to do. Report. Until you and the others' rebellion years ago. Now THAT, that was a fun time.
But that? Being a hero? Something you're not? It was all in the past.
You just wanted peace. When the whole Westview happened. Ajak sent you, said something about knowledge in magic.
And so you helped. Both Wanda and Agatha.
Wanda stayed with you along with the darkhold and Agatha went with her coven.
You made sure that she made the first move. And if she never truly liked you then it was also fine. But she did. She kissed you that one night and you kissed her back.
You'd cook for her. Teach her more about her own magic. And she'd love you. She'd make you laugh. She'd make you feel peace.
It stayed like that. For Five years. You were both in love or so you thought.
She was getting impatient. You can tell. You knew that your method was slow. But it was also the safest. So that she can travel freely. Did you know that she would leave you for her boys? Of course, she will. And you'd understand. Those twins were her kids. Hers. And you-
Well, you didn't even know what you are to her.
And during the fight with her, you confirmed it. She was just with you because you knew the safest way. Because you had a way.
And so you left her. And left her notes, you weren't cruel as to leave her without knowledge on getting back with her kids.
And so here you were. In a random bar somewhere in the US. Where you stopped counting your drinks and stopped caring about yourself.
If anyone needed help then you would be there in a heartbeat, helping once again. But for now? You need to forget.
"Ah. Here you are. I knew it." You hear Sersei say as she sits besides you. She and Makkari have been trying to find you when they went to visit Wanda a week ago and you weren't there. Sersei quickly texted Makkari as you drink again.
"Why are you trying to find me, dear changer?" All of the eternals had nicknames from you.
"We were worried. What happened?" You chuckle at that.
"Just that-" You don't finish when someone hugs you from behind. You laugh as you turn and hug Makkari. "Hi, fast one. Sorry that you couldn't reach me."
"It's okay. Why are you here though?" Makkari asks and you sigh.
"Not here. Shall we go on a walk?" You pay for your tab and leave the bar with them.
You all get seated at a park and you look ahead.
"We got into a fight." Makkari raises an eyebrow at Sersei. A fight? That was it? "And she told me that if she had a choice then she wouldn't be with me." That made them both flinch. They knew your insecurities better than anyone else. The two of them were your closest confidants after all. "So I left. Don't worry about it, though, I made sure to leave her notes. And if she did become the Scarlet Witch and destroyed everything again then-" You inhale at that. "Then I'll help stop her."
"But Wanda was-" you shake your head at Sersei. Just hearing her name is enough to make you cry. You wipe away your tears.
"I need some time alone. Call me in the emergency phone if any of you need help." You stand then smile sadly at them. They both just watched as you leave.
-
6 months. It's been half a year since you saw Wanda. But by God did she get even more beautiful. You were helping Peter Parker's mess and making sure that Strange didn't do that fucking spell again. You really hated that spell, for fuck's sake.
You sigh in relief as everything ends and no one needed to forget him.
"This is why I don't mess with memories." Sersi, Druig and Makkari turns to you. "It's too messy."
"Really? I thought you of all people would want to do it." Druig says and you hum.
"It would make it easier, that's for sure." Wanda flinches at your statement. She was near enough to hear but far enough to not get spotted. Did you want to forget her? "But what the brain cannot remember, the heart and soul will surely do." Wanda was sure now. She approaches the eternals and you realize her presence, you quickly go to Makkari and tell her to take you home.
"But-" Makkari tries to argue but you shake her.
"Just this once! I swear, okay? Please, Makkari. I can't. My heart can't." You get teary eyed and Makkari turns to Sersei. They turn to Wanda who was going to call you.
"Just this once." You nod at her and Makkari quickly leaves the battlefield with you intact. She stops at your current house in New Zealand. You sigh in relief and hug her tight.
"Thank you." You kiss her forehead. "I owe you one." Makkari nods and leaves you alone. You get inside and start to pack. You just know that either Makkari or Sersei will snitch on you. You don't blame them, though, you know that Wanda has been persistent on seeing you and wanting to know where you are.
You didn't know why she wanted to see you.
You don't know want to know.
But if you had to take a guess then maybe she'll break it off for real. You wipe away your tears again. The partying and drinking for the past 6 months has done nothing good for you.
It just made you forget temporarily.
You look at your things. It was only one suitcase, the benefits of having too much money. You hum.
Time to go there then.
-
Another 6 months has passed by. This time, you knew it. You have peace.
Well, you did still have nightmares. Your insecurities are still there. But at least here, you were truly alone. No expectations. No betrayals. Just you.
Not even Sersei or Makkari knew where you were. You didn't want the risk. You just can't run into the source of your heartache.
Or so you thought. Because your phone rings. The emergency one.
"Hello?" You ask and it was Sersei who answers.
"We need help! Or rather your friend, Strange needs help!" You hum as you ready yourself.
-
"What do you mean?? She can travel the multiverse????? FREELY?????" You ask and Stephen nods. "Whoa. Holy shit. You do know this makes you like the singular only person in the multiverse that can do that. Like damn." Sersei raises an eyebrow at you.
"You're an eternal."
"Semi! But yeah, I might be the only one. Nice! The name's Y/N! We have no last names." America looks at Stephen who nods at her.
"I'm America. America Chavez."
"Nice to meet you! So why am I here?"
"She needs help."
"Some monsters have been chasing me all throughout the multiverse and-" You hum. You get your phone out and call Agatha. You stop America and they all look at you.
"Agatha. The darkhold is not being overused is it??"
"Nope. Wanda is learning it slowly. Just like you taught her. Why?"
"Just checking." You hang up and hum. "Has there been any portal sightings like the one from multiverses?" Stephen shakes his head at you.
"Through every universe, right?" America nods. "You don't need me. You need Wanda."
"You sure?"
"Yes. She can travel the multiverse too. Just not as freely as America. We should go to her."
"We? Are you ready to see her?" Sersei's question makes you flinch.
"Not really but-" you look at America. "A kid needs help so-"
"Got it. Let's go then." Stephen says and you nod.
-
'Oh. She hasn't moved. At all.' You thought to yourself as you look at the house you lived in a year ago. Stephen knocks on the door and you step back as Wanda opens the door.
"Oh. Strange. How unusual-"
"We need your help. Y/N says that you-"
"Y/N!? Have you been in contact with her?? Not even Makkari or Sers-"
"That's because they're snitches." You walk up the familiar steps and smile sadly at her. "Hi, Wanda."
"Y/N. Y-you're here." She says and becomes teary-eyed.
"Yeah. We need your help."
-
"I'll get us some teas." You nod absentmindedly as you look around, everything was the way you left it. It felt like you've never left at all. The books were in the arrangement you did. The pictures and decorations were never removed. You smile a little at the pictures.
There were five on display.
One with you and the eternals.
One with Wanda and her brother Pietro.
One with you, Wanda, and everyone, as many as the frame could fit.
One with you and Wanda just hugging and smiling at each other.
One with Wanda and Vision.
"Whoa! This is you, right, Y/N??" America asks as she looks closely at the pictures, you didn't even notice her standing from the couch.
"Yeah. It's her. She lived here before." Wanda answers for you as she serves the tea. You hum, agreeing with her as you get your cup.
"So you know magic??" America tilts her head at you as she sits besides you again.
"Know, yes. Use? No." America tilts her head again so you chuckle. "I only know spells, uses, and stuff like that. I couldn't do it even if my life depended on it. Ask Sersei sometime, she knows how many times I tried to see if I ever had some sort of power." America hums.
"And you never discovered any?" You shake your head.
"Nope." You smile at her as you sip your tea. Oh shit. Did she-? You look at Wanda and she smiles at you.
"It's your favorite." She confirms and you sigh. "So, what did you three come here for? What can I do to help?"
"First, of all are you halfway through the darkhold?" You ask and Stephen glares at you.
"Uh. Yes. I am. I think I am." You hum.
"Can you call it and I can check?" Wanda nods and calls the darkhold to her hand, Stephen scoffs at you and you glare at him.
"Look away, for fuck's sake. A child's safety is on the line!" He grumbles as he leaves the house and America was about to follow him when you stop her. "Stay here for a minute. I need to confirm-" You open the darkhold and hum. "Yep. Halfway through. You can travel with America now."
"What?" Wanda asks and you hum.
"So, the predicament is this. America is being chased around by monsters. Darkhold monsters and so I have reason to believe that one of your variations is chasing her. Possibly, to either get her power or use her. I am not sure. So I need you to travel with America. With Stephen too and solve this."
"What? How?"
"By defeating the other you."
"WHAT!? HOW!?" You hum at her question.
"Simply put, you'll need to introduce a variation of me."
"You?" You nod and grin at her.
"You know the phrase, 'every me loves every you'?" Wanda nods at you. "I have reason to believe that is happening between us. Not everyone gets their shit together or end up together or even meet but still. Every variation of me will love every variation of you."
"How are you so sure-"
"Phastos made a device. I used it like a thousand times. Trust me in this. I-" your phone rings, effectively cutting you off. You look at it and see Phastos's name. "Speak of the eternal." You answer it. "Wait. You caught one??????" You hum. "Okay. Okay. I got it." You nod. "Yeah. I still have it." You nod again. "Got it. We'll be there." You hang up and look at Wanda. "Change of plans. We're going somewhere." You hold out your hand to her and she accepts it. That makes you smile, at least she isn't allergic to your touch. "Come on, America. Time to meet my family." You grin then go outside where Stephen was waiting. "Stephen, open the portal to Wakanda!" Stephen nods and does as you say.
"It's a good thing that you have Thena, huh?" You grin at him, agreeing with him.
-
You look at the monster then at Phastos then at Thena and Gilgamesh.
"You guys are seriously amazing. Thank you." You took out a pair of glasses from your pocket and toss it to Phastos. "As I said."
"Have you used it at all for the past year?" Phastos asked and you blush.
"Only a thousand more times." You scratch your neck. "One of the reasons why I never get bored."
"I'm just relieved you haven't decided to get Phastos to make you a multiverse traveling machine." Ajak says and you smile sadly at her.
"I had what they had. Mine was just the saddest attempt." You look at the ground knowing that most of the people there are looking at you.
"Done!" Phastos exclaims and you smile, relieved that the attention is off you. "So, this will hopefully will let us know which universe this creature is from and the glasses will guide us there."
"You mean them?" You point to Stephen, America and Wanda.
"What? You're not coming??" America asks as she gets your hand.
"Sorry, kid. I'll only slow you guys down." You ruffle her hair. You look at Wanda then smile at her. "Try to keep this kid safe. She's pretty unique. And she'll be able to help you too."
"Got it! Universe 567. That's where the monsters are from."
"Good. Here's how the glasses work." You begin instructing the three of them and making sure they knew what to do.
Wanda is to make sure that the traveling of the group is safe and sound, she can fight off the multidimensional monsters.
Stephen is to make sure to locate your variant.
America is to make the group travel freely.
You wave them goodbye and smile as they leave. You collapse to the ground and Makkari is by your side immediately.
"I'm okay. Just really-" you let the tears out and sob.
The dam finally breaking through. You don't know if you'll ever get over Wanda.
-
It took them a week to find you.
Turns out you were a pretty badass Black Widow in Universe 567. You were trained alongside Natasha so the two of you were like siblings.
567 you tried to refuse first but when she saw the monster firsthand, she finally relented and agreed.
Meeting 567 Wanda was chaos. She tried and tried to resist both her variant, Stephen and 567 you but when the avengers arrived, it was a done deal. 567 Wanda was captured and stopped. 567 you fought for her rehabilitation though, stating that you won't ever forgive yourself if you let another one fall to that deep abyss. 567 You promised to help her, to take care of her and teach her how to be compassionate again. As they were leaving Universe 567, Wanda couldn't help but smile as 567 you helps 567 Wanda to her feet.
It looks like your and hers 567 variants will be okay.
-
You were back in your old tattered hut in the Philippines. The peaceful home you've been at for the past half a year.
You hear your phone rings and hum.
"Yeah?" You answer it.
"They're back! Should I tell Makkari to get you?" Phastos asks and you sigh.
"No need. I had my time here already. Do you think Sersei has room in her apartment? I'd rather just room with her and Sprite."
"I'll ask her. So you're done avoiding her?" You laugh at that.
"Never. I'll be there." You hang up and look around. "Goodbye, peace." You leave and never look back.
PS.
Posting this since it's sitting in my draft. Not finished yet but wanted to get it out.

When we say goodbye Pt 3
Tumblr media
Pairings:  Druig X LightBender!Eternal!Reader (Fem)
Summary: They stop the emergence and figure out what life holds for them.
Warnings: MCU Violence, Blood, Fighting, I used Fem pronouns, Kissing I guess, stray from canon events.
Author's note: I once again got carried this is 6k words. I tried to make it really fluffy. Also sorry it is late i was sick.
Part one Part Two
Druig studied the gold details caved into the walls of the plane. They looked a lot like the ones on the ship they came here on. The place that was their home for thousands of years. There was a black sectional in front of a theater screen that was playing a movie with no sound on. It was over the top compared to Kingos she had spared no expense. He didnt know where to sit for the long flight. Y/N had made it clear to Druig that she was still mad at him and was doing this for the others.
Y/N currently sat on the couch in the corner by a window. A pile of papers was splayed out in front of her with no clear organization to them. She held on to a burner phone pressing it hard to her ear.  A picture of three men opening a crate was clutched in her hand. She let out a loud sigh tossing the photo to the side, and shuffled through papers looking for one file that she swore she grabbed on her way out.  She spoke in a hushed whisper trying to keep Druig out of her business. However, he could make out a few words.
“Take care of it Loretta… I know but you are… Call him… Don’t make me beg.”
When she hung up, she narrowed her eyes a raised her brow at him.
“You just going to stand there? or sit?” Y/N snapped the phone in half and handed it to the stewardess on the plane. And went back to looking through the files. She still had work to do if the world survived the emergence.
Druig however didn’t move, he didn’t even blink, he just stared at her. He was at a loss for words.
“Staring is rude Dru. I know Ajak taught you that.” She spoke softly looking up from the file. He finally sat down leaving four feet of space between them.  Druig stared at the movie playing trying to distract himself from the silence they were in. His gaze flickered over to Y/N occasionally wanting to interrupt her work but didn’t know what to say.
Y/N could feel his eye drilling into the side of her head. She read the same paragraph over and over again the words blurred together. His presence was distracting to her and feeling his eyes on her was not helping. She couldn’t do the work she wanted, and she needed to find a way to get rid of spiderman.
“Y/N?”
“No. I told you I would help. We are not friends. You stay there in your corner. I will continue to act like you are not here.” Druig sighed. He was once again at a loss of how to approach the situation.
Y/N became annoyed. All she could hear was him breathing and swore he was making up words for the movie. He was mumbling about something, but she wasn’t sure what. She pushed the papers into a somewhat neat pile. Then tossed them in to the bag she brought, and stared out the window as the dark sky.
“Do you hate me that much?” Druig spoke in a whisper. His accent made it hard for her to make out the words.
Y/N exhaled rolling her eyes. In truth no she did not hate him. She wanted to viscerally hate him, but she never could bring herself to even dislike him even after all this time. He was a light in her life that she lost and missed the warmth he brought her. That safe and secure feeling she had when he was near. It was just easier to wallow in pity and pretend that she hated him. Fake it till you make it was her motto for the last two thousand years.
“I- I don’t know. Not to sound like a broken record but you hurt me. I thought I meant more to you than the others. Because as much as you deny it you cared about them. But you left me when I begged you to take me.” She paused, taking a deep breath and licked her lips before continuing.
“Discarded me like human waste. Was I just temporary entertainment to you?”
He took the opportunity to scoot closer causing Y/N to stare at him instead of the dark sky. He stopped about a foot away testing the waters. He wanted to touch her. To comfort her and make her see she was his world.
“Sunshine. You must know you were the only one I genuinely cared about, besides Makkari.”
“Then why did you leave me?” Y/N cried out. And repeated the question quieter with glassy eyes. Tears threatening to spill out.
“I am so sorry sunshine. I didn’t want to leave you, but I was trying to be selfless for once. You loved every single one of them more than I could comprehend. I couldn’t pull you away from that, and you end up regretting it.”
She scoffed and looked back out the window staring into the black void of the night sky.
“They all left me too. I had sprite on and off during that time. But those two thousand years were hell. You took a part of me I don’t think I will ever get back.”
Druig reached out and gently grasped her hand rubbing his thumb over her wrist stopping at her pulse. He wanted to fix this. It was never his intention to hurt her.
“Was it really that bad?” She pulled her hand out of his hold and set it in her lap.
“I watched the man I loved walk away from me, and then the man I fell in love with was murdered in front of me. We got six glorious years that was it. A blink to us eternals.”
Druig flinched. Loved? As in past tense? he thought. Scared of the answer she may give him. She kept looking out the window refusing to acknowledge him. Y/N pulled her feet up on the chair hugging her knees to her body trying to make herself look small. She wanted this conversation to end. Every emotion she had pushed away for centuries was surfacing.
“Loved?” Druig couldn’t resist, he had to know. Y/N pinched her lips frowning.
“That’s what you care about? You don’t have to worry I got over my unrequited love a while ago.”
“Do you honestly believe that I didn’t love you? Please look at me Y/N” His voice was raw, and she hesitated to do what he asked. Eventually giving in to the side that still cared for him.
They stared at each other. His blue eyes keeping eye contact with her.  Feeling overwhelmed with the emotions he held in his eyes she turned her head slightly. He moved with her to keep eye contact.
“You must know you are the only one I care about. Y/N, I never wanted anything more in my life. You are beautiful and my sunshine. Every time I called you sunshine that was me saying ‘I love you’. I was scared that I had these feelings and you deserved better.”
Y/N let a tear escape. She didn’t know what to say to him. Druig gave her everything she wanted to hear from him.
“I will apologize for the rest of our existence. I will beg on my knees for you to let me back in.”
Y/N giggled through the tears that fell. A sight she would have liked to see. He cupped her face wiping the drops away giving her a soft smile. Her skin was cold to his warm hands.
“I don’t know what to say.” She whispered. For once she was at a loss for words.
In response he laughed, his breath fanning over her face. The minty smell was overwhelming. She scooted closer to him, their faces a centimeter apart. Her eyes bore into his. She took a deep breath to stop the tears. His familiar smell filled her senses again. Oh how she had missed this familiarity, the feeling of home.
“You still smell good, and it is infuriating.” She mumbled.
He laughed again, his accent coming out a bit more. This was the person he knew. The one he loved.
“So do you.”
Y/N shook her head his hands falling one landing on her thigh. She laid her head on his shoulder suddenly very tired. Druig rested his cheek on the top of her hair, savoring her touch and made a silent promise to never let her go again.
Soft snores came from her as she slept soundly. He took in her tranquil state and traced a finger over her features softly to avoid waking her up.
----
“Why are you wearing a leather jacket in the desert?” Y/N teased as they tracked through the hot sandy hills of Iraq.
“Because I like it.” Druig shrugged, sending her a small smile.
The outline of the rest of the eternals grew the closer they got. Y/N picked up speed practically running to them. Druigs hand shot out resting on her lower back ready to catch her if she fell. The closer they got the faster she sprinted. After being apart from most of them for centuries she was ecstatic to see her family again. Mainly Thena and Sprite (but she would never tell anyone that). Sprite had been her best friend through the toughest of times.
“Y/N” Sprite called out when she saw her figure approaching.
Sprite ran toward her. Once close enough they enveloped each other in a bone crushing hug. Y/N clung on just a little longer. The last hug she had with her was at Giovanni’s funeral.
“I am sorry I pushed you away Sprite.”
“It’s ok, I get it. I was going to lecture you about finding yourself again plus you were in a dark place.” Sprite held an honest and forgiving tone as she let Y/N go.
Y/N bit chewed on her upper lip. She knew this kindness was more than she deserved after everything she had done, but it meant the world to her that Sprite still treated her the same.
“I am working things out, but I am here to assist.”
“May I cut in?” The blonde warrior asked from behind sprite.
Y/N squealed. Launching herself at the unsuspecting women.
Thena smiled and grabbed Y/N’s face. Her eyes traced over the girls’ features taking in every inch of the face she hadn’t seen in so long.  Y/N looked the same, just tired and a little sadder in the eyes. After a moment Thena picked Y/N up in a bear hug twirling them both around. Both of them let out a giggle. It was the happiest Y/N has felt in a long time.
“I have missed you.” The warrior spoke while setting Y/N back on her feet.
“As I you.”
“Sorry to interrupt this moment, but Druig can you get rid of the humans over here?” Phastos called out from where he stood.
Druig nodded and glanced back over at Y/N. She was still smiling at the two people in front of her, clearly elated. His heart skipped a beat at the sight.  In the time apart from her he often dreamed about that smile.  He nudged her shoulder hands in his jacket pockets and tilted his head towards everyone else. Y/N gave him the same smile and looped her arm through his walking with him. It felt like the good times when they would stroll around town before everyone was awake.
Y/N said a soft hello once they stopped near the others. Sersi gave her a light embrace muttering a sweet hello.
“This is Y/N she can manipulate light into anything she wants it to be.” Kingo held an animated tone while speaking directly to the camera Karun was holding. Karun panned over to the women who waved at him not entirely sure what was going on.
“Not anymore. I can manipulate shadows though.”  Y/N tried to sound carefree as she spoke it aloud to the group, but failed there was an edge to her tone.
“Oh really! I may need to change the script for my next movie then.”
“You are still making those?”
“Yes, the people love me.” Kingo said in a duh tone.
“Who is this man?”
“Oh, that is my assistant Karun.”
“And he hasn’t run for the hills?”
Kingo shot Y/N a glare offended. He didn’t have a chance to remark as the wind picked up as Phastos summoned the ship.  Sand blew towards them. Y/N was cursing the fact that she was the only one who didn’t bring sunglasses. She buried her face in Druigs back holding her breath. She let out a small gasp when Druig reached behind and set a hand on her hip.
----
The group of eternals crept through the ship at a snail’s pace. Kingo whispered into the video camera speaking ominous words that sent a chill through the group. He was acting as if there was going to be an axe murder hiding on board to kill them.
“What are you doing? You know you are creeping us out right?” Phastos spoke up.
As if on que a loud pop echoed through the hall. Causing Y/N to flinch at the loud sound. She let out a small yelp and clung on to Druigs side. He let out a soft chuckle before putting an arm around her shoulder pulling her in closer.
“Its ok,” He murmured in her ear. “Thena stepped on something.”
“You turned my lab into a sarcophagus?” Phastos cried out to Makkari using his right hand to gesture around at the things strewn about.
Makkari was perched on a throne with a plethora of books surrounding her. She smiled once the group came to a stop in front of her.  She asked them if it was time to go home.
Y/N’s face twisted into a grimace not ready to break her spirit. She too wished to leave this plant and start over.  Makkari frowned once she took in everyone’s sullen expressions.
“Who is going to tell her?” Y/N asked.  She did not want to be the one to crush her spirit. She may have been a cruel person to those that deserved it, but she couldn’t do it to her family.
“I will do it.” Kingo volunteered after a moment of no one talking.
Phastos got to work immediately wasting no time in finding a solution. While the rest started rummaging through the goods in the room.
Y/N was rummaging through a box of paintings next to where Sprite sat on the ground. The red head was reading an old scroll. It was in a language Y/N had long forgotten. She stumbled across a dusty painting that a king had once gifted her.
‘It would be such a shame no to capture such beauty.’ He had said to her while obnoxiously drunk at one of his parties. No matter what Y/N said he would not take no for an answer. Leading her to reluctantly agree to letting him commission a piece. She pulled it out of the crate to look at it better. The colors had faded throughout the centuries.
“That king wanted to marry you. He almost proposed too, but Druig got involved.” Sprite spoke up. Lowering the scroll she was reading from.  At the mention of his name Druig turned to face them. His jaw clenched when he took in what Y/N was holding.
“I merely saved him from heartbreak when she inevitably said no.” Druig called out. Y/N rolled her eyes setting the painting back to its proper place.
Y/N narrowed her eyes as she watched Druig pick up her old journal from a pile in the corner of the room. Before he could open it she took off towards him. It was full of so many things that she didn’t want anyone to read.
“Give it to me.”  Y/N panted once in front of him.
“Oh, you want this” He held the book above his head with a smirk.
Y/N huffed out and jumped up trying to get it. On the third try her hands touched the leather. She had half the mind to tackle him, but she knew he wouldn’t budge.  Instead, Y/N got on a table to make herself taller.
“Yes, now please give it to me, or I will stab you.” The threat fell on deaf ears, as Druig lifted her from the table setting her back on the ground. He rested his forehead to hers smiling down at her angry look. He held the journal out to the side still just out of her grasp.
“What’s in here? Your dirty thoughts?”
“No.” Y/N blushed answering way too quickly. A heat coursing through her face.
Druig cackled, bringing everyone’s attention to the two for a second.  He handed her the brown leather book tapping her nose with it before walking away.
Y/N made a mental note to burn the book as soon as possible while hiding it under a pile of miscellaneous items. On the other end of the table was an old talisman Ajak had loved and wore it often. Y/N picked it up her heart breaking at the realization she would never see the women again. The air around her became stale as she tried to steady her beathing. Losing all the joy she had moments ago.
“Now where did you end up finding the Emerald tablet at Makkari?” Druig asked not too far from where Y/N stood lost in her thoughts.
Y/N grinned and turned to them. She had found it at an underground black-market auction. Where she bought it for more money than she cared to admit. A trusted friend of hers had packed it and delivered it personally to Makkari. With a note apologizing for ever doubting that it was real. It was her penance for making fun of her friend looking for something that sounded insane.
‘After all this time I found it. Sorry for doubting you- Love Y/N/N.’
Makkari pointed at Y/N. Signing out the story to Druig with a small grin on her lips.  It was a fond memory of hers when the mysterious package showed up.
Y/N plucked the tablet from Druigs’ unsuspecting hands. Her fingers brushed over the carvings on the stone. When she bought it she had barley looked at before sending it off. There was a lot to do, and the CIA had been on their way to her base in California. Druig watched as she bit down on her bottom lip furrowing her eyebrows at the green rock.
‘You finally admit you love her?’ Makkari signed to him with a knowing smile.
‘Shut up’ he signed back.
“I found a way to connect us all” Phastos called out pulling everyone back to him.
The plan was insane. Even if it did work who knew what the repercussions would be.
The group began to do what they do best and bicker with one another.  It was irksome to Y/N that they were here to save the humans and they still were all in disagreement. She rolled her eyes tuning out the yelling. Eventually they would calm down and they could try to solve the plot holes in the plan.
“We could be responsible for billions of lives not being created in the universe. Boss am I right?” Kingo cried out his words seemed to confuse Ikaris.
“Say something Ikaris! Y/N?” Sprite spoke out. A quite tension filling  the room as they all stared one another down.
“I don’t care what we do one way or another.” Y/N spoke. “We run a risk no matter what. Arishem will be mad at us.”
Ikiaris suddenly ran out of the room clearly shaken. Y/N knew that look on his face he was guilty of something she wasn’t sure what it was, but he carried a look of guilt in his eyes.
----
Y/N sat on a table watching Phastos work in awe. His fingers were incased in gold circles making rings on his fingers as he worked. He was rushing to find the answers and find some way to help Druig put the celestial to sleep.  If the situation wasn’t so life or death it would have been a beautiful thing to watch.
“I am close to figuring it out.”  Phastos glanced up at Ikaris who strolled into the room. The man glanced at everyone in the room before clenching his jaw and swallowed. His eye shifted to a gold color.
“Watch out!” Kingo hollered.
Y/N body tackled Phastos to the ground not caring if she got hit in the process. They needed him more than anything.
Sersi booked it into the room, joining the chaos that was quickly erupting.
“He lied to us he knew about the emergence.”  Sersi spoke standing in front of Phastos. Protecting him from Ikaris.
“No.” Kingo said in disbelief. Voicing everyone’s thoughts.
“Ajak told me everything when we left Babylon.”
“If Ajak wanted you to take her place, then why did she choose me?” Sersi swallowed. Deep down she knew the answer and was ready to face it. It was all Y/N needed to know that he did something unspeakable it connected all the dots.
“What have you done?” Sersi whispered when Ikaris made no move to answer her.
“He killed her.” Druig and Y/N said at the same time.
The group went silent.
“You are a pathetic murderer.”  Y/N snarled.
It was hypocritical of her to say she knew that, but he killed family. Someone innocent. One of the only family members they had.
“That’s rich coming from you. How many people have you killed?” Ikaris softly spoke his tone apathetic towards her.
Y/N Flinched taking a step toward him. She expected that answer honestly but wasn’t ready for her family’s judgement. Even coming from someone as pathetic as Ikaris. She understood why Druig hated him so much.
“I am not below taking one of a douche canouche.”
With in a blink there was a terrible troll like monster behind the smug man in blue. One twitch of her pinky and it would attack. A wicked smile crossed her lips. She would cross a line to redeem Ajak any day.
“Y/N” Druig called out. He took slow long strides to where she stood.
“Why?” Sersi managed to ask through her tears.
“I had to.”
Y/N screamed out ready to lunge at him. That was a pathetic answer; had to do it? She didn’t know when she grabbed one of her knives, but it was gripped tightly in a way that was useless. It wouldn’t do her any good in a fight against him anyway, but she didn’t care. She was willing to try. Druig wrapped an arm around her waist stopping her movements.
“Stop its not worth it.” He whispered to her. Trying to pull her back in.
This was not a fight they needed now. There was an emergence to stop.
“You will not succeed against me. I will kill everyone of you if I have to.” Those were Ikaris’s last words before he started to walk out.
“Wait. I am going with you.” Sprite finally spoke.
“Sprite no.” Y/N wanted to say more but in a blink of the eye they disappeared.
----
Sersi, makkari, Druig and Y/N started down the volcano that smoke was emerging out of. It was ready to blow at any moment.
“It’s time” Sersi said once it rumbled.
Before Druig could do anything, Ikaris was there knocking him over.
“Ikaris” Y/N warned the man.
“I should have done this five centuries ago” Ikaris spit out ignoring the yells, while pulling Druig up by the throat.
“Druig.” Y/N called out as ikrais flew off with him. Makkari screamed.
They watched as Ikaris threw Druig down. Both of them feeling utterly helpless in the moment. Then watched him attack the ship bringing it down. It was going to crash on them if they didn’t move. Makkari fast as always pulled everyone out of the way from the ship coming down.
“Druigs gone now its over.” Ikaris said from above them.
No, no, this cannot be happening. He cannot be dead. Y/N’ thoughts paced. Their plan was quickly falling apart. She went through rapid emotions before settling on anger. If Makkari hadn’t run off with him she would have attacked.  Rage gripped her heart. She wanted to hurt the man for taking so much from them.
The volcano rumbled again before erupting, setting off a minor earthquake. The environment around them began to change quickly.
“I have to get closer to Tiamut. Distract Ikaris” Sersi begged the group.
“My pleasure.” Y/N spoke mincingly in a ready to attack position.
They all took a chance at stopping him from doing killing anyone else.  Phastos shot pierced the air missing the man who seemed to be unstoppable. Thena fierce and unstoppable unleashed her weapons each strike doing some damage.
Y/N felt like a bystander desperate to do something, anything. But there were not enough dark patches for her to pull from. Her heart began to thunder against her chest when she realized how powerless she was.
“Y/N use the light.” Thena called out to her from chaos on the other side of the beach.
“I don’t think I can.”  Y/N confessed her fingers trembling.
“Try!” The blonde women commanded.
Y/N obeyed the warrior and reached out to the light trying to form anything. Light responded forming a fragile rope of gold it whipped out. As quickly as she had formed it dissipated in to the wind.
She groaned, growing frustrated, and tried again. Shadows merged with the light.  Shadowy golden monsters materialized scattering across the beach. Thena let out a whistle at the unexpected power of the girl.
Emerging from the depths of the ocean a deviant appeared in its grotesque form capturing every eye on the beach. Y/N hurled every monster in her arsenal at the creature. It was a useless attempt. Every time her monster got a cut or hit in the deviant mended itself unbothered. He managed to take out Y/N’s army quickly.
It lunged for Ikaris, hungry for blood. It was ready to attack him, and consume his powers.  Phastos, however, saved him from an untimely fate.
“Why are we helping him?” Thena asked and Y/N wanted to know the answer as well.
“We can’t let him absorb our powers.” Phastos stayed calm. Ready to fight back.
Thena managed to drag the creature’s attention to the cave across the way. They all called out trying to stop her before Ikaris attacked again. This time Y/N held him down with ropes of black. The flying man was now grounded in front of her.
“Don’t do this Y/N.”
“See Ikaris you took all I had left. Which means I have no will to live, and that right there makes me dangerous.”
Ikaris struggled aging the bounds, but the more he fought the harder the hold she had on him became. The man screamed out in anguish trying to shoot lasers at the girl. They missed and the Shadows covered his eyes blinding him temporarily. Y/N let out a giggle this was rich she had the upper hand, and she was going to take advantage of it.  He would have a fate worse then the man who had betrayed her 56 hours ago.
“Guys the world is literally starting to collapse.” Phastos turned her attention to the damage happening around them.
Tiamut began to emerge from the pits of the earth. Y/N wasn’t sure what she expected but the thing was massive.  They were losing the fight and it started to scare her a little. They could die and it would have all been for not. Her powers lessened their hold on Ikaris, and he took the moment to escape.
But before he could do anything the celestial began to turn white. Sersi was freezing it, and Ikaris took off angrier than ever.
Y/N laid sprawled out on the beach closing her eyes. Her eyelids were heavy and unable to stay open. Exhaustion clung to her limbs, she was ready to sink in to oblivion and forget that Druig once again slipped through her finger. A single tear escaped trailing down her cheek landing in the grains of sand. She squeezed her eyes tight refusing to feel the pain. Heartbreak had followed her for years and she didn’t want to feel it anymore. Yearned to cut the ties with that pain.
“You know Sunshine, I thought you would be a little more upset.”  Druigs voice cut out through her haze. The accent wasn’t as thick as usual there was a softer edge to it.
“Another hallucination great.” She muttered out bitterly. “How long will these ones-“
“Y/N look at me please. I am here. I wont ever leave you again.”
She cracked an eye open and he was there looking down at her.  A smug smile on his face and delightfully real. She shot her feet and put a hand on his chest. One of his hands came up and held it there anchoring her hold.
“I thought you left me again.” It was a barley audible whisper. As fragile as glass.
“Never my beautiful beautiful sunshine”
“Hug me please” She begged him, and she never begged a vulnerability she rarely displayed.
Druig didn’t make her ask twice. He pulled her body to him his arms cocooning her to him. His face nestled in the crook of her neck, and she played with the hair at the nape of his neck.  They closed their eyes taking in the warmth of the hug.
“You are alive.” She murmured aginst his shoulder. “I forgive you. You are alive - don’t leave me again.”
“Never. I promise” His words tickled her neck.
----
It was a warm afternoon at Ajaks house. Y/N sat on the porch staring out at the grassy field, avoiding the group inside. They were making plans for their future, and she was more lost than ever. Unsure of what to do. Loretta was officially in charge of the empire she had built. Y/N told her exactly how to shake the spiderman and wished her all the luck.
Y/N mindlessly created butterflies letting them fly away to eventually disappear. Part of her wanted to just disappear and do nothing for at least fifty years. Vacation in the Poconos and maybe Greece.
“Ahh there you are sunshine.”
Druig was standing behind her. Hands fisted in his coat pocket. He watched a butterfly fly away before sitting next to her. His blue eyes traced her face trying to figure out what she was feeling.
“What’s wrong?”
“I don’t know what I am going to do now. I gave Loretta the business, and now I have nowhere to call home or go.”
She was anxious and afraid, her heart beating against her ribs. Fear wound its claws through her thoughts. Even though he was standing there and promised to never leave she couldn’t help but wonder if he would abandon her again.
“I was thinking about going with Thena. Join us in finding other Eternals, it will be an adventure. If you don’t want to though I will follow you wherever you go. I never want to be parted from you again. We can make a life anywhere you want.”
Y/N leaned into him laying her head on his shoulder whispering an ok. Druig with a gentle finger under her chin lifted her face to meet his gaze.
“Yeah?” a smirk splayed on his lips.
“Yes.”
With those words Druig picked Y/N up and moved her to his lap. Her knees finding their place on either side of his hips.  His large hand cradling the the back of her neck drawing her face down to his. Her breath mingling with his. He nudges her nose with his own. Hesitation dances in his eyes, a delicate balance between longing and fear, as he debated on crossing the line he has yearned to cross throughout his entire existence.
“Dru.” She whispered her tone fragile a secret hidden in her words.
He hums in response.
“I love you.” She confessed.
And in that suspended moment, the world ceased to exist. His lips met hers like a man starved. It was needy and rushed, but it was perfect.  His kiss was a wild storm, a tempest that promised her forever. She melted into him pushing her body closer to his, her body seeking solace in him. Her soul was home in his arms. His hand, once firm on her neck, now cradled her face. Fingers slowly threading through her hair. She whimpered, lost in the sensation—the taste of him.
He smiled against her lips at the sound and broke away. Druig kissed down her jaw, a trail of fire left behind each one.  Each touch was a vow etched into her skin. And as she caught her breath, she knew: this kiss was the beginning of their forever.
She pulled him back giving him a peck. He groaned wanting more after finally knowing what it was like to have her.
“Dru.”
He hummed again in response, trying to kiss her, but she shook her head. The laugh he missed escaping her.
“Thank you for not hating me and what I did.”
“My beautiful, beautiful sunshine, never. I love you. I always have.”
She let him kiss her again. Ready for their next chapter.

Plot: phantom of the opera au
Warnings theres no smut this time and sorry if its a little shorter then the first chapter
The audience's cheers roll over you like waves as the final curtain closes. You're quickly whisked away, Madame Ajak, bless her, swiftly guides you to your new dressing room before the reporters, opera patrons and fans could move to swarm the backstage area wanting to meet the new star of the Opera de Popular. Much to your dismay however the entrance was already chaotically crowded with people. Thankfully Mr Nelson and Murdock where already front and center, Mr. Nelson was gladly answering the reporters and basking in the crowd's awe while Mr Murdock alongside Gilgamesh provided a more physical barrier, not letting the over eager patrons near, allowing you and madame to finally enter the dressing room.
Once inside silence overcomes you, finally feeling like you could breathe deeply, counting to ten a few times to calm the ringing beating of your heart. It’s not till madame cleared her throat that you looked up, an explosion of color filling your gaze. Flowers of every size, shape and color fill every available surface, bouquets of some of the most exotic flowers you've ever seen.
Tumblr media
“Wow” Madame just laughs at your shocked face
“This is to be expected my dear” she goes about the room examining the abundance of flowers, focusing on one of the bigger bouquets.
“Look, this one is from Count Ikarus and his family. It sees that young man is quite smitten with you”
“Yes so it seems”
“What’s wrong my dear.? You don't seem excited about your successful debut?”
“No it's not that Madame i'm truly grateful for everything that has happened.”
“But?”
At first you don't answer but Madame gives you one of her motherly looks and all resolve crumbles
“But…… it feels wrong somehow like something is missing.”
“Something? Or someone?”
As soon as the words leave her mouth the image of your angel comes to mind, bringing a light blush along with it.
“I see that look dear, it's alright. It’s perfectly normal for someone your age, all I ask of you is to be smart about your choices ok.?”
You just smile nodding yes not really wanting to go into a whole spiel with her right now, but thankful for her all the same. The women truly being the only mother figure you've ever known
“I will mama jaks.”
“Ohhh thank you dear, I haven’t heard you call me that in so long i've missed it”.
“I'm sorry I.”
“No no, none of that. I'm glad to be mama jaks to you, you and sersi are my daughters whether you like it or not.”
She kisses you on the forehead before urging you up from the sofa and towards the changing screen to help you out of the heavy gown you've been in all night.

Once deglamorized you stealthily made your way to the dancers entrance avoiding any leftover fans, walking quickly to meet up with sersi. Your whole opera family was celebrating your triumphant first show at Gil and thenas house, Gil’s cooking and drinks galore is what kingo had stayed. Not wanting to keep everyone waiting, you and Sersi begin the familiar walk. Now it does dawn on you, that two young women shouldn’t probably be walking in the deed of night in Paris’s strees but the promise of having Gilgamesh’s famous (your favorite dessert) all to yourself overweighs all those worries
“I can’t wait to see what all Gil cooked. I'm starving.” Sersi simply laughs at you
“How is all you can think about is food after the day you've had.?”
“Hey you try being poked and prodded at and then thrust in front of hundreds of people in a heavy costume and not be hung/“
Her hand grabbing your arm halting your steps stops you mid sentence. She’s even pushing you behind her when you finally notice the black carriage that has now pulled up alongside the two of you. You both give each other knowing glances as you assume the defensive stances thena had drilled into you.
Just as the door opens and you both go to move a familiar head of brown hair steps out.
“Ikarus?”
“Little (y/n/n) and friend. I apologize if I frightened you mademoiselles, i was caught by opera patrons and was unable to speak with you. Imagine my luck to stumble upon the new star of Paris opera walking along the street.
“Yes, how fortunate. I'm sorry, if i had known you wished to speak with me i would have waited at the theater.
“No it's my fault I should have tried harder to get away, um if you could, may I have a moment of your time.?”
“Of course you may!” Sersi answers for you. “I’ll be just over here while you two speak” she nods to both of you before stepping over to study a random storefront, acting the picture of innocents and not like she just threw you under a carriage. Turning back towards Ikarus you notice his eye haven’t left sersi.
“Ehhem”
Ikarus’s head snaps back into place a practiced smile falling into place
“what can i do for you count de solar?”
“firstly just call me Ikarus please”
“ok Ikarus it is then”
“and you? Are you still little (ynn) or are you now the new diamond of the Paris opera scene.?”
“no i'm simply (y/n)”
”very well simply y/n, i must say your performance was a revelation. It’s amazing to see how far you've come since I last saw you.”
“fifteen years is a long time, a lot of things change.”
“yes…..i heard about your fathers passing, my condolences. He was a brilliant musician and I'm sure he would be incredibly proud of you.”
“thank you that's very kind of you, he would have felt honored to. Hear such high praise.
“Listen, I don't wish to keep you or your companion out in this cold night air much longer, so I will simply ask if you would be willing to have a meal with me, to catch up?”
After a quick contemplation you agreed not wanting to turn down the benefactor of the opera or a count. Terrific he replies before turning to his driver to discuss something quietly. You take this time to all sersi back over
“Did you both figure everything out?
“Yeah, he asked me to dinner.”
“oh y/n that's exciting. Oh he's coming back”
“Well I thank you for agreeing to dinner but I do have one more issue.”
oh?” You ask the duke questioningly.
“Yes it would be ungentlemanly of me to allow two young women to walk the damp streets of Paris at such an hour please let me top you off to your destination?”
You're about to decline given Gil and thena home is only fifteen minutes more away but once more sersi interrupts, accepting the offer for you both and allowing Ikarus to help her into his carriage before you get even a syllable out. The quick ride is filled with mostly Sersi and Ikarus talking (flirting) while you nodded along with whatever they were talking about just watching how they interacted, both sporting light blushes as they speak. However your destination arrives before you can make any sort of comment
“Here we are, sir.”
“Thank you mr smith.”
Ikarus quickly hopped out helping you and sersi out. You both turn dipping into quick curtsies, bidding the young count goodbye. He gives us both a nod and slight bow, his gaze lingering on sersi once more before hopping into his carriage and driving away.
Tumblr media
“I can't believe that just happened, you truly do know the count y/n”
“I told you I did. Besides, I don't think its that impressive to know a count.”
“y/n you should be excited! He's young, handsome, kind and comes from a wealthy Noble family. He would make a perfect husband.”
“HUSBAND?…….. No sersi. I know that all sounds nice to you but to me he will always be the boy next door that was nice to me one moment then would tease me the next till he all but disappeared one day.”
“Oh sweety im/“
“/no it's fine, I understand what you're saying but Ikarus just isn't for me, in fact I think you should take your own advice.”
She whips around about to gripe at you with a blush on her face when the door bursts open, kingos extravagant self standing there, before he pulls you both into the warm house. Music's playing lightly as the boisterous noises from the living room pull you all in. And there everyone is cheers ringing in the air as everyone is ready to finally celebrate your musical debut.
Tumblr media
The sun was just beginning to peak over the horizon, everyone had turned in, some (cough kingo and sprite cough) where. Forced to turn in after a night of one to many. You however couldn't find sleep for the life of you. Still too high on the adrenaline of the day to find peace so you decide to go for a walk. The early morning shops were setting up and beginning their days.Couriers race beside you. A few people wished you good morning before they went about their days. All in all it was a peaceful morning walk that ended in the same place it always did. The place you always go when you're alone or pent up or sad, happy, really any emotion. This was your safe place, the small cathedral attached to the Opera house.
Like always a few lone candles flicker in the room's damp breeze. Just as you go to light an additional candle for your father a musical trilling sounds in the room startling you. Looking around you see where the music came from. Under the cathedral's small stained glass window set a beautiful music box. It was a silver box, not large but not too small. It’s had (your favorite flower )designed on it rounding all the sides and laying carefully carved on the top, with tiny gems that sparkled like stars scattered around
Tumblr media
(I cant pick one they’re all to pretty)
Where did you come from?” just as your about to touch the bow that familiar glowing aura brushes over you
“hello my little muse.”
There's that voice. That voice that teaches you with a stern hardness. Tha voice that caresses you at night covering your body in goosebumps and making your heart race. The voice you dream about that has you held captive. He was your teacher, your savior, your angel, your phantom.
“Good morning master.” you go to move to turn around hopeful to finally see the being that has overtaken every fiber of your body
‘Wait!” you pause, the air feeling charged as you obey his command
“Let me take you in first , my muse.”
The basic evening wear you wore yesterday didn't bother you when you put it on but now you wished you wore anything else, but nevertheless you felt his gaze roam your body like the finest piece of art. Out of your peripheral you can just make out the bottoms of his pressed black slack, the elegant polished boots and the swishing of the evening cape he had on the red lining accentuating his legs.
You attempt to see more but he steps directly behind you. His body is warm in the cold room, as you feel his fingertips glide up your back. Before his hands up your shoulders.
“my beautiful beautiful muse, how you shined like the brightest star in the universe. The goddess Aphrodite herself would be envious.”
“thank you master”
“oh how i relish those words do say it again”
“master?”
“emmmmmmm yes I do like the sound of that. Do you like your present my muse” he asks gesturing to the music box
“its beautiful”
“The song inside is of my own composition, please open it and tell me what you think.”
you reluctantly move away from his warmth to step back towards the music box, still not daring to look back over your shoulder. Tracing your finger over the flower on the top, taking a much needed breath and open the box
a hauntingly beautiful melody leaks out.
“Does it please you?”
“Its breathtaking”
“I'm pleased that something so small could elicit such feelings. I wonder how you would react to me then” a million thoughts rush through your head, he's finally going to let me see him.
“Would you like to see me, my little muse?” He laughs “I can hear the thoughts rushing through your head.’
yes master falls from your lips
his body steps up to you again. No room between the roof you as his breath fans your ear and hands take place on your hips. You feel like the earth would fall out from under you if it weren’t for his presence keeping you grounded.
“Are you sure my muse.”
“yes master”
“hmmmmmmmmmmmm”
you feel his. Lips kiss your shoulder and something cold above his nose brushing against you before he pulls back and the words you’ve waited so long to hear are finally spoken.
“Very well……… Look at me.”

Alone and Broken
Tumblr media
Ajak’s voice came out clear and firm “This is where I say goodbye. You are free to go. I want you to go out there and live a life for yourselves. Not as soldiers, not with the purpose you were given. Find your own purpose and one day when we see each other again, I want you to tell me what you found”
As everyone begins to leave, and I quickly follow Gilgamesh and Thena who are speaking in quiet tones, down the steps and into the forest. Walking deeper into the trees they both seem to have finish their conversation before turning to me. “You’re not coming with us (Y/N)” Thena’s voice is low and cold
“I’m not afraid of you Thena, I know who you are, I know who I fell in love with.”
Gilgamesh glances at Thena before gesturing to the side and walking off.
“I don't love you; it was nice while it lasted a warm body after a battle but now that the deviants are gone, I have no need for someone as weak as you.”
I strike my head in disbelief. “I don't believe you it was never about a warm body and I’m not going to let you push me away when you need someone the most.” I stepped towards Thena attempting to touch her arm only for it to be slapped away.
“Maybe I wasn't clear I don't want you you're a burden thinking about you following me around for the next 100 years makes me sick to my stomach. I never loved you I only used you.” Thena’s voice is cold, and her face twisted into a disgusted angry expression.
My blood runs cold I start to feel sick to my stomach. Thena turns and walks away without another word leaving me standing alone in forest.
Every day since then I have been alone, I would forever be grateful to Ajak for giving us our freedom, but I was alone. The last words me and Thena exchanged running through my mind on a loop. I have been in love with Thena for as long as I could remember and for a while, I thought she was as well. I was one of the eternals aggressively against her losing her memories despite the fact of her Mahd Wy’ry, but she used me. I was always just a background character in the eternals. My powers concerning the elements were never much help, Ajax always told me that my heart was my greatest power but now I can't help but disagree because here I am three thousand years in the future and yet I'm still alone. Not one of my so-called eternal friends has ever come to look for me, not even Ajax.
I’m brought back to present day with a sharp knock and the door of my cabin. I shake my head to get rid of the memories like brushing away cobwebs before standing. I take a few steps towards the door before pausing and remembering I live in the middle of the woods there's no civilization for two hundred miles out. I grab a knife from the table I’ve been seated at and make my way towards the door before speaking. “Who’s there?” my voice come out raspy and dry, like sandpaper against a wall.
“It’s Sersi…. from college.” The voice says a bit hesitant at the end “Everyone else is with here too, well except Ajax and Gilgamesh.”
My mind raced as I stumbled back from the door, bumping into a table, then a chair as I tried to process this. Several thoughts swirled around my head as I stepped closer to the door. Why were they here? None of them care about me, they all disappeared never caring abut me. As these thoughts run through my mind, I start to get angry.
Twisting the doorknob, I tear the door open, nearly taking it from its hinges. “What do you want, I’m not quite in the mood for company.”
They all stand there, surprised at the venom in my voice. I glance around taking in the faces of Sersi Kingo, Makkari, Druig, Ikaris, Sprite, Phastos, and Thena. The air catches in my throat as the sight of Thena, and it's like no time has passed and I've just had my heart broken all over again. She attempts to meet my eyes but ignore her and everyone else in focus on Sersi.
“We need your help, Ajax and Gilgamesh were killed by deviants and...”
“Why should I help you?” I cut her off before she can finish. “Why should I care about two dead people who didn't care about me, as a matter of fact why should I care about any of you.” I scoff shaking my head.
Sersi flinches as if slapped and looks over her shoulder to the rest of the group for help. Kingo steps forward a wide smile on his face. “Come on (Y/N) you know we've missed your…”
“Missed me? Ha yeah right, I hate liars been three thousand years and now you miss me. More like you just remembered I existed I need more help on your little mission. Now Druig and Makkari I can understand, but the rest of you just didn’t care enough to check on me.” As I speak ice grows around my feet and wind starts to circle around me forcing them to step back from the door as I step forward.
“(Y/N).” Thena says her voice holding none of the chill it did when we last spoke.
As I force myself to meet her eyes all the feelings, I've tried to hold back seem to rush back filling my ears with a roar. “You don't get to speak to me ever again, or did you forget what the last thing was you said to me. Let me give you a little reminder ‘It was nice to have a warm body after battle, I have no need for someone so weak’. Or hey this was my favorite ‘Thinking about you following me around for the next one hundred years makes me sick to my stomach. I never loved you’.
By the time I'm finished speaking there is a cyclone circling around me while my fingers start to spark with the beginnings of fire. Thena’s face is twisted as I repeat her words back to her the same ones that have been running through my head for hundreds of years. Then Ajax’s words which were always kind and soothing Appear in my mind ‘Your heart, your compassion is your greatest gift never lose the love you have for others.’
Shaking my head once more I finally speak again. “I'll help you but after I want you all to leave me alone. Since you were all so good at it before it shouldn't be that big of a problem. I refuse to be a second-rate person in anyone's life especially people I used to consider my family.” Glaring at them all before my eyes rest on Thena once more.
“Please don’t look at me with such hatred. I didn’t mean to hurt you I didn’t mean any of what I said I was trying to protect you. We can still fix this.” Thena’s voice cracks as she looks back at me with despair
“Maybe in another life but you made me miserable, and I still loved you. How could you have thought this wouldn't hurt me? This can’t  be fixed you've ruined what was between us for good now.”

shadow of mine [1/2]
Tumblr media
druig x f!reader
wc: 2.6k

an: inspired by the song shadow of mine. i've had this idea in my head for so long & a few suggestions reminded me of it and was inspired to finally write it out! i really hope y'all enjoy :)
also, thank you to @stuckonjbbarnes for literally all your encouragement throughout this whole writing process 💕
masterlist
570 BC
Babylon was getting boring, Druig didn’t understand why they were even still there. There hadn’t been a Deviant around this area in over a year, why weren’t they headed somewhere new? He thought the same thing everyday while walking through the market with Ajak’s voice echoing in his head, “When Arishem says we can go, that’s when we’ll go.”
Today though, today felt different. He didn’t know if it was good or bad, just that the air felt tingly and everything looked brighter. For a moment he thought about asking Kingo if he noticed anything different but decided not to, the last thing he needed was everyone else to start worrying about something that was probably nothing to begin with.
He actually made himself believe that everything was normal, that was until he started to smell.. something. It wasn’t anything he had ever smelled before, he knew that for a fact, yet it smelled like home - a home he had never known.
Druig followed the smell of what he could only described as cosmic just outside of the market area. You were bent down, back toward him, picking flowers. He didn’t know if he should say something or walk away, what would he say to you anyways?
Before he could decide you had turned around, meeting his gaze like you’ve known him his entire existence. “Hi, I’m Yn.”
“Druig..” he muttered, so unlike him. “You’re not from here are you?”
“No, just traveling. I’m not too sure where I’m going, just trying to find somewhere that feels like home.”
There that word was again, home. He didn’t even know what it meant anymore. The definition he once knew was wiped away, but he knew at that moment he would always think of you when he heard it again. “Babylon doesn’t feel like home?”
“It’s beautiful, don’t get me wrong..” you looked down at the flowers you had just picked and began to intertwine them, “but it just feels like a taste of what home is, what it could be. Does that make sense?”
“Yes,” he smiled, “it makes perfect sense. I think you’ve put into words what I could not, actually. Thank you. Um, how long are you-”
“-I actually have to go, my friends are leaving soon. But um, here.. I made you this.” He took the flower crown from you and put it on his head. “Take care of yourself Druig.”
The thought of never seeing you again sent a pang through his chest. His whole world was knocked off his axis and yet he had never felt more aligned. What was he supposed to do with that?
He could use his powers, but that didn’t feel right either. So he did the only thing he could, he brought your hand up to his lips and kissed it. “Safe travels, Yn. I hope to see you again one day.”
It was night time when Druig got back to the Domo, he never wanted to leave this place more than in that moment. Watching everyone sit around the table laughing together, having a good time.. It felt bittersweet. He thought about what would happen if he snuck away in the middle of the night. Would anyone come looking for him? Would Arishem step in? It didn’t matter, he couldn’t just leave.
So Druig did what he did best, he put on a smirk and made a joke at Ikaris’ expense. He’d unpack the day's events another time.
400 BC
Ikaris and Sersi’s wedding ended up being a huge celebration, the whole city celebrated in the streets. For hours laughter and joy filled the air and Druig couldn’t remember the last time he let himself enjoy the company around him.
He was sitting with Kingo and Makkari, watching Sprite illustrate some of the citizens' favorite stories. It was a position he had been in more than a few thousand times, he could probably tell all of the stories word for word in over a dozen languages at this point, and he loved it. Every bit of it, he loved it.
Druig didn’t always like his fellow Eternals, and he definitely didn’t agree with how certain things were handled, but at the end of the day they were all each other truly had. He had his opinions of Ikaris and couldn’t quite understand how Sersi could stand to be with him, but he was happy for them and that they each found the person their soul called out to. He tried not to think about how loud his screamed.
“Hey, do you want to take a walk?” Kingo whispered to him.
Normally Druig would have insisted on waiting until Sprite was done, but he needed some space. “Lead the way.”
He was following Kingo when a familiar scent filled the air, but he quickly wrote it off as a mix between the food, flowers, and sweat. Nevermind that he knew for a fact it was none of those things.
They were almost to the edge of the city when he noticed the stars had more of a sparkle to them, but the mead he had been drinking all night did that sometimes. If the air wasn’t so thick he could have sworn at any minute he’d see… you. “Yn?”
Kingo stopped and turned around. He had only ever heard that came come from Druig’s mouth one time over 100 years ago, “What?”
Druig blinked and you were gone. Except, you had been gone for years.. right?
“Druig,” Kingo looked worried for him, “is this all too much? You looked like you were 1,000 miles away back there and, well..”
“Spit it out, Kingo.”
“You said her name. You never say her name.”
They were far enough from anyone that could hear, but Druig still didn’t feel like this was the place to talk about it. Truthfully, Druig didn’t want to talk about it at all. What good would it do? “I thought I saw her.”
Pity was written all over Kingo’s face and woven into his words, “Weddings always find a way to bring up old feelings. Maybe it was one of her descendants! That’s totally possible, yeah?”
Druig wasn’t sure if that made him feel better or not, even if that did make the most sense. “Is that what you brought me all this way for?”
“You just looked like you needed some air,” he confessed, “you started getting that glazed look over your eyes again.”
“Nah I’m fine, probably just had too much to drink. I appreciate the sentiment though.”
When they got back Ikaris and Sersi were nowhere to be found and the celebration had started to settle down for the night. The others were all gathered together, ready to turn in for the night. Before Druig followed them he took one last glance around, he swore to himself he could still feel you near. He was disappointed but not surprised to never find you.
If only he had looked a little harder.
1329 AD
What happened the night of Ikaris and Sersi’s wedding happened again a few dozen more times in the last 1,700 years, it was beginning to drive Druig mad.
He wasn’t sure where they were exactly anymore, they had been all over South America the last few months hunting Deviants. It was just the distraction he needed, over the years he noticed that the only times he felt your presence was when they settled into a town. He tried describing your appearance to some of the townspeople but no one ever knew who you were. He also tried getting creative with his powers a few times but not only did it feel wrong, Ajak was never too far away reminding him that it wasn’t his place to meddle with humans. Even though she wasn’t sure about what he was doing she was still right, that also drove Druig mad.
But they hadn’t been near civilization for weeks, they had just been camping out in the forest. Something about travel, something about keeping people safe.. Druig wasn’t too sure anymore. All he knew was that him and a few others weren’t needed and he was going to take advantage of it.
Ajak and Sprite invited him to walk to town with him but he declined. Phastos stayed behind to work on his new invention, he told Druig he was more than welcome to stay and watch but that he needed to be able to concentrate. “I’m actually going to go for a swim, there's a lake not too far from here.”
He had been floating around for some time, literally soaking in all nature had to offer. It was something he always enjoyed doing when he needed to be alone, which wasn’t as often as you’d think considering he more or less lived with nine other people.
“Druig.” It was a whisper, but he had no idea which direction it came in.
He shot out of the water and began to dry off when he heard his name again. “Druuig, come find me.”
The voice sounded so familiar to him but he couldn’t quite place it. That didn’t matter, his clothes were back on in an instant and he ran to where it was coming from. He was running so fast he didn’t notice his fingertips tingling, how bright it was even though he was headed deeper and deeper into the forest where the coverage was thick, or even cosmic air he was breathing in. He just kept running towards his name.
It had been a few minutes since he heard anything so he stopped for a breather and surveyed his surroundings; he had to be at least three, maybe five, miles from camp by now. There were no signs of any Deviants around, or people for that matter. Was Sprite pulling some kind of prank on him? “Sprite if this is you it’s not funny, I’m not in the mood for your games today.”
“I’m offended,” a voice came from behind him, your voice, “did you forget about me already?”
He turned around and just looked at you, still half convinced it was a cruel trick Sprite had been playing all along and this was the dramatic finale. Needing to know if this was real, he cupped your face in his hands and was delighted when you didn’t shimmer away. “It’s really you.. how?”
“You wouldn’t believe me if I told you, not right now.” You smiled, putting your hands over his. “I can’t stay long, but I’ll answer any question I can.”
That frustrated him to no end but he wasn’t going to waste whatever time he had with you, he released his hands from your face and began walking with you through the forest.
“It has been you I’ve been seeing all these years hasn’t it? So why now, and why all the way out here?” There were hundreds of questions to be asked, but those were the only one’s he could think of at the moment.
You grabbed one of his hands, stroking your thumb over his absentmindedly. “I was just checking on you, making sure a Deviant didn’t get you.”
“You know about Deviants?”
“Shhh, let me finish.” You laughed. Suddenly he had a favorite sound. “Like I was saying.. I just wanted to check in on you. As for why here and now, you’re never alone. Do you know how hard it was not to say anything before now? Ajak would immediately know who I am and.. I shouldn’t have even told you that.”
“Ajak? How do you know-? What are you?” He had never been more confused in his life.
You stopped walking, hand still in Druig’s, “You’re smart, you’ll figure it out. Just don’t tell anyone when you do, I’m not supposed to be here and that’ll raise a lot of questions. I can answer why your senses heighten when we’re near each other though, if you want.”
“Oh so that I can know?” He smirked, “Whenever you talk, I’ll listen. Doesn’t matter the topic.”
“We don’t have a word for it, but the humans here do. Soulmates. We’re connected by the cosmos in such a unique way, in a way that we were quite literally designed for each other. We’ve spent every life before this together.” You said it with ease, like it was something you had known and accepted for a while now. He mentally added it to the list of questions he wanted to ask you
You were right before, Druig was smart, but everything you had just said… he knew all of those words and what they meant, but not together. “What?”
Rain started falling through the trees, your sign that it was time to go. “I hate to leave you on that note, but I have to.”
“Wait, one more question.” He pleaded, “Please?”
You paused for a moment, gathering all the self control you had. “Okay one more, but then I really have to leave. Which just so you know, is really hard for me to do when you look at me like that.”
Druig was trying to hide a smile, happy to have another moment with you. No matter how fleeting they were. “If we were made for each other, why are we apart now?”
Your mood went from happy to anger in an instant. “That’s what I’m trying to figure out. The obvious answer is Arishem, but then the bigger question is why.”
There was a pause and Druig was going to take full advantage of you not leaving to ask another question, but instead a roar of thunder filled the air. “I really have to go, but I swear to you I will come back and tell you everything I know then. Okay?”
Druig felt like his entire world was being ripped to shreds, how were you just going to leave him after dropping that kind of information on him like that? Information he wasn’t even sure how to understand was possible. He wanted to go with you, everything else going on be damned. Unfortunately he knew that wasn’t a possibility, but he held onto what you said. “Everything?”
“Everything.” You kissed the corner of his mouth and started to back away, knowing you’d see him before he saw you.
It was very rare that Druig couldn’t find the right words to say, not like he had the time to. The rain had started coming down too hard he could barely see five feet in front of him, let alone wherever it was you disappeared to. All he hoped was that you were safe.
His thoughts raced the whole way back to camp. Deviants. Ajak. Soulmates. How did you know about all those things? How were you still alive? The answer was so obvious, but it couldn’t have been true, could it?
Druig began questioning everything he’s ever known. He wanted to ask Ajak, she had to have some idea of what had just happened. Remembering your warning, he knew that it probably wasn’t a good idea.
The rain had let up by the time he was reunited with the others. Nothing felt the same anymore. If you were what he thought you were, how were you here? Did that mean one day he too would be free of Arishem and his restrictions? Whatever the case would be, Druig tried to find peace in knowing he’d see you again.

A Kings Gamble
Benitoite palace corridors at night.
King Alfio slowly strode through the palace corridors unable to sleep due to the week's events.
This whole damn week has been nothing but a headache. Where the hell did that damn dog get the idea to bare his fangs at me like that! Valerio to! I never thought he'd take that damn dogs side like he has & Lidia! I mean I get that she was ecstatic at the idea of spending more time together, we haven't had that kind of time for ourselves since I was named successor. How the hell does that damn dog even know how important that sort of thing is!? That woman certainly didn't teach him, all she knew was selfish desires.
As King Alfio was turning a corner he paused as he spied Lady Emma standing there staring out a window. He ducked back behind the bend just enough to stay out of sight but still allow him to see her.
This young lady, Lidia already likes her and Valerio has done nothing but sing her praises. Valerio can say he doesn't love her all he wants but does he really think I can't recognize it! I'm not that old and doddering to have forgotten. What tricks did that damn dog use to get into her...
The faint sound of jangling cut off King Alfios thoughts and he saw Silvio coming around the corner at the far end of the corridor.
She doesn't even seem to notice that damn dog comming, is she really that unaware of her surroundings or ...
King Alfio was about to turn and leave when he caught a glimpse of something in Silvio's eyes that made him change his mind. He watched as Silvio approached Lady Emma from behind and gently wrapped his arms around her waist.
Silvio: What are you doing out here by yourself starin off like that!?
Emma: Silvio! You shouldn't be holding me like this here, what if someone comes by and sees us!
King Alfio noticed that despite her words Lady Emma leaned back into Silvio's embrace.
Silvio: So let em your my woman so it's fine, and don't go tryin to change the subject! You shouldn't be wandering around alone like this especially at night what if something happened to you or you got lost?
Emma: It's a straight line back to my room! I'm sorry I worried you though.
Silvio: I wasn't worried! If you're gonna start makin a habit of wandering off though maybe I should put a bell on your collar.
Emma: Try it and I swear I'll bite you!
Silvio: Ha! I ain't lettin you do that a third time, besides...
Ha! Serves you right you damn dog being bitten by your own prey! I'm starting to like her better...
King Alfio watched as Silvio left his mark on Lady Emma's neck and it brought to mind several memories of Lidia and himself.
Silvio: That wasn't the deal you offered originally. You don't wanna bell you gotta make a new deal with me.
Emma: If you think you can keep getting me to let things go by doing stuff like that...
King Alfios expression softened slightly as he watched Silvio lift Lady Emma into his arms.
I don't think I've ever seen that dog look so happy, delighted? No those aren't right...
Silvio: I love it when you're sassy but I love it even more when you're like this Emma.
Emma: Silvio, I love you too.
Silvio: Ya I know, but keep sayin it.
King Alfio watched as Silvio carried Lady Emma to her room and chuckled softly when her door was kicked in before turning back and heading the way he had come.
King Alfio: I know that look all too well.
King Alfio sighed and Lidia's words from days ago came back to him.
Queen Lidia: Alfio you should know better than anyone that true love can cause miracles.
Kingo Alfio gently kicked open his bedroom door. Sitting on the sofa working on some embroidery project was his Queen, the woman he had worked so hard for. Queen Lidia turned to him and smiled so dazzlingly at him his breath momentarily caught.
Queen Lidia: Alfio! Are you all right? You look as if you're going over and over an important deal.
King Alfio: Not a deal Lidia a gamble.
Queen Lidia: A gamble? Alfio are you still fretting over naming Silvio your successor? As I already said I truely do believe everything will work out fine. Silvio has many accomplishments & with the support of Valerio and Lady Emma I'm even more certain he'll be an excellent King.
King Alfio: Dammit Lidia I know all that!
King Alfio slumped onto the sofa and sighed, a comfortable silence fell between them as Queen Lidia waited him out.
King Alfio: I saw them tonight, that damn dog and Lady Emma.
Queen Lidia: You're surprised to see them together Alfio?
King Alfio: Yes, no I mean...
King Alfio trailed off trying to find the right words. Queen Lidia set aside her embroidery hoop and took his hand in hers.
Queen Lidia: Then what is it?
King Alfio: ..Us
Queen Lidia: Alfio don't mumble..
King Alfio: They reminded me of us!
King Alfio sighed again and ran his free hand through his hair before continuing.
King Alfio: This whole week I've been wondering about quite a lot of things. One that bothered and honestly surprised me the most was that damn dogs conviction when he talked about us spending more time together. I can't deny he's smart enough to know our relationships different to most especially within the royal court but the strength behind his words...
Queen Lidia smiled bright and knowingly as she waited for King Alfio to continue.
King Alfio: The way she reacted to his touch, the way she smiled at him, the way she sassed him. Hell he even called her by her name! Nothing was more telling though then that look in their eyes.
Queen Lidia: That look?
King Alfio: That look you can only get from true love. I know that look very well after all these years, and I saw it earlier tonight. Not just in Silvio's gaze but reflected back at him in Lady Emma's as well. I never thought I'd see a day when any of my children looked at someone like that least of all it being Silvio!
Queen Lidia: It took you long enough to realize it Alfio.
King Alfio: Lidia...
Queen Lidia: I told you days ago...
King Alfio: I know Lidia you don't have to rub it in!
Queen Lidia laughed as she kissed King Alfio on the cheek.
King Alfio: He's still a bastard, especially for breaking Valerios heart like that! Though I suppose if Lady Emma hadn't fallen for Valerio in all that time she never would have. I think he'll keep on the right course though so long as he has her.
Queen Lidia: Yet you still think it's a gamble?
King Alfio: Yes but now that I know the type of cards he's playing with I know it's not just a gamble he can win but that the whole nation will profit from.
King Alfio turned to face Queen Lidia and as he gazed at her smiling face that oh so familiar look was all over her, the same one he saw on Silvio and Lady Emma earlier. That look of pure unadulterated joy that only comes from true love.

The M word (Ajak x F!Reader) part 3
Tumblr media
part 1
_________________________
"Fuck off! Sersi is mine!" you yelled, smiling as you ran down the halls.
Ajak's laughter followed you, and you knew the woman was hot on your heels, so you quickened your pace. You knew you were being childish, and the other would probably complain later that you made her lose her straightness, but at that moment you decided to enjoy seeing her so free and happy. Plus, giving Thena a little blackmail material never hurt.
"You already have Makkari and Druig!" she protested but you could hear the amusement in her tone
"And I'm going for Phastos and Kingo!" you yelled back
"We agreed to leave Kingo last!"
"Then I'm going for Ikaris!"
You laughed again as you took a sharp turn down a hallway. You turned your head so you could stick your tongue out at Ajak, not noticing that a door opened, causing you to enter the meeting room and crash directly into Gilgamesh. At least the man didn't seem affected by it.
"Are you alright?" he asked you, helping you to your feet
"Yes" you laughed "thank you"
"She touched him, does that count as having him on our team?"
You looked around to realize that the rest of the Eternals were also in the room, most of them looking at you in confusion as Druig and Makkari smiled knowingly at you. You returned the gesture and hugged one of Gilgamesh's arms just in time for Ajak to enter the room. She tried to look serious and demure as always, but you knew that everyone had heard her laughter in the halls, and the beads of sweat and her heavy breathing gave her away.
"I just took Gil away from you" you told the woman with a grin
The prime eternal simply rolled her eyes fondly and crossed her arms, smiling at you in amusement. You stuck your tongue out at her again and pressed a little closer against Gilgamesh, you could hear Druig giggling and you didn't have to look to know Thena was smiling too.
"Well that leaves Phastos for me then" your girlfriend said
"Over my dead body!" you said, letting go of the man and pressing an accusing finger into the woman's chest.
"Uh, did I miss something?" Kingo said "what's going on here?"
You looked at your family, feeling truly lucky to belong to such a special group and to be seen as an equal by them despite everything. It had been years since you had felt anything like it and you could no longer imagine a life without them.
"Oh, don't you know?" you asked mockingly
"Know what?"
You shared a look with Ajak, almost as if you were silently asking her permission, to which she nodded, her smile never leaving her lips. You turned to the Eternals, ready to drop a bombshell that only Makkari, Druig, and Thena knew about.
"We're getting married" you smiled.
The following seconds were deathly silent, where everyone seemed to try to register your words as if they were foreign to them. Kingo was the first to react and from there it was all screaming and chaos. Warm and familiar chaos.
"What?!"
"FUCKING FINALLY!"
"AND WHY DID I NOT KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT THIS?!"
"We found out this morning"
"No, no hold on, why did they know before ME?!"
"Because Ajak loves me more"
"No, no, I get you, Thena, I was talking about Druig"
You and Ajak looked at each other for a moment before sharing a laugh as Druig and Kingo got into a little argument. Sometimes it was hard to remember that these people were in charge of watching over and protecting humanity, especially when they behaved like kindergartners.
"Congratulations" Gilgamesh smiled at you.
"Thank you" you replied
"And who asked who?" Phastos asked, approaching you.
"Oh, none have" Ajak replied.
The room went completely silent again and you had to bite your lower lip to keep from laughing at everyone's faces. You really wished you had the camera that Phastos had given you at that moment.
"Excuse me, what?"
"Well, we talked about it some time ago and we both agreed that we'd like to take that step" you said, blushing when Ajak linked her fingers with yours "But there hasn't been a formal proposal."
"And that's where we come in" Thena smiled.
"What do you mean?" Ikaris intervened
"Ajak asked me this morning if I could help her plan something to propose to Y/N" the blonde replied.
"And Y/N heard it, so she asked Makkari and me to help make her proposal to Ajak better" Druig added.
"So here we are" you said "recruiting you all to help us"
"Oh, proposals war! I like it" Kingo smiled "what's the prize?"
"The winner chooses where we spend our honeymoon and the names of our future children"
You laughed as Ajak choked next to you and blushed so deeply that even her dark skin couldn't hide it. She looked at you with wide eyes and you had to place a quick kiss on her lips to prevent her from scolding you. You knew that was not part of what you had agreed to, but it occurred to you at the moment. You weren't even sure you could (or that she wanted) have kids, and it was definitely something you had to talk about later, but for now, you pretended it was all part of the plan. It worked if the way everyone was looking at you with interest was any indication.
"Oh, I'm so into it!" Kingo said loudly "which team I’m in?"
"Mine" Ajak said, taking the man's hand before you could react.
"Hey! That's not fair, we said we'd leave Kingo last" you complained with a pout
"What? And why me last?!" he asked indignantly
"Because you're the one who already has the entire wedding planned" you said "and we both want that wit on our team"
That seemed to calm the man, who stood a little taller with pride, not noticing the sarcasm in your voice, Ajak's eye roll, or Thena's wicked grin. Always go for the ego.
"So what about the rest of us?" Sprite asked
"I want Ikaris" you said
"No, we don't want Ikaris" Druig protested.
"Yes we do" you replied
"No, we don't want him, we want Phastos"
"Phastos belongs to me" Ajak said
"Why?!"
"Because Y/N already took Gilgamesh"
"Sorry, weren't you fighting over Sersi?" Thena asked smiling
“We weren’t fighting” your girlfriend frowned
"Yes we were, and she's mine" you said, taking Sersi's arm
"No, no, if I'm going to be on Ajak's team, I need Sersi too" Kingo said, taking her other arm.
"Then I want Ikaris!"
"We don't want Ikaris!"
"ENOUGH!"
They all jumped up and looked at Ajak with a bit of embarrassment. You had to hide your smile and squeeze your legs a bit to calm the growing heat between them (that woman was fucking sexy when she got bossy, ok?!) while the prime eternal looked at them all with amusement.
"Obviously we need a peaceful solution to this. I don't want wars in my marriage proposal" she said, sounding a little too proud about the last words.
"Okay, okay, I have an idea" you said "Since it's evident that hunting them down one by one didn't work...how about you have the thinkers and I have the fighters?"
"I like it, except for one problem" your girlfriend said
"Which is?"
"I want Thena"
"Yes, as her best friend, I'm going with Ajak" Thena said
"Okay, then I'll trade her for Phastos" you said.
"You talk about us as if we were trading cards" the inventor said amused
"And I want Gilgamesh" the blonde said
"Give me Sersi" you crossed your arms, making the young woman smile at you, probably grateful for not only being taken into account but apparently being one of the most coveted.
"Didn't you want Druig?" Sprite asked
"I don't want to be on the same team as Ikaris" Druig replied
"I'm not even going to pretend that it hurt me" the flyer smiled
"Give me Sersi and you have Gilgamesh" you said
"Done" your girlfriend smiled
"But we are 5 and you are 6" Sprite intervened
"Ikaris and Sersi are on the same team, they'll probably get lost in each other's eyes, and Kingo and Y/N are a mess together, we're really only up against Phastos and Makkari" Druig sneered.
"Pfff, that's because you haven't seen Kingo, Makkari, and me drunk and wanting to embarrass Ajak" you smirked
"We have this won!" Kingo said, giving you a high five
"No one is going to get drunk!" the prime eternal said, a little worried and blushing
"I don't tell you what strategies to use with your team!"
She tried to give you a serious look as she crossed her arms as well, but it only lasted a few seconds before she laughed and shook her head affectionately.
"So, is it agreed?" Sprite asked, oddly enough, she looked quite invested in this.
"No, wait, how much time do we have?" Phastos asked
You and Ajak looked at each other, you hadn't thought of that. If you were being honest, you really didn't even expect your girlfriend to go along with the silly game, or that the others (besides Kingo, Makkari, and Thena) would actually want to participate, so you hadn't bothered to think of a date.
"Well...in two months it's the anniversary of having met you" Ajak smiled at you
You smiled back and took her hand to kiss her knuckles gently. The heat that she aroused in you (and not just the sexual kind) was immense and despite all the games and jokes, you really looked forward to marrying her.
"Okay, before you get too cutesy and I get diabetes" Thena scoffed "we're all in agreement, we have two months to plan the best proposal"
"And the winner has honeymoon rights and future baby names" Kingo smiled
"Yeah, it's a deal" you said
"Will you ever tell us how you met?" Sprite suddenly asked
You looked at Ajak and wrapped one of your arms around her waist, pulling her close to you as she placed a hand on your shoulder and gazed at you lovingly.
"Nope" you both said at the same time
The other Eternals complained and you and your girlfriend laughed. You put a lock behind her ear and caressed her cheek softly before giving her a sweet kiss.

Best Friend’s Brother
Ikaris x Male Reader
A/N: Song fic. I’ve never done a song fic before so. This is about the reader being in love with his best friend’s brother. Young Bucky and Ikaris. A Victorious song.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I call you up when I know he's at home
I jump out of my skin when he picks up the phone
Y/N gripped his phone nervously as he dialed Bucky’s number. Why is he so nervous? He’s called Bucky plenty of times before. After all, they were best friends, but there was one person who made Y/N feel queasy to his stomach. The phone rang a couple of times as Y/N put it to his ear. When Bucky finally did pick up, Y/N was expecting to hear his voice, not the voice that made him shiver with excitement and nervousness.
“Hello? Bucky’s phone,” Ikaris’s smooth, deep Scottish sounding voice rang in Y/N’s ears. “Y/N, are you there?” The younger boy blushed hard as he hung up the phone.
Why can't I tell if he's looking at me?
Should I give him a smile?
Should I get up and leave?
Y/N tried not to think about the embarrassing phone conversation he had with Ikaris as he, Bucky, Steve, and Sam were chatting at the food court in the mall as Y/N glanced over at Ikaris and his table of friends. There were Sersi, Kingo, Thena, Sprite, Ajak, Phastos, Druig, Makkari, and Gilgamesh. Ikaris laughed at something Sersi said and gave her a winning smile as Y/N’s face burned with jealousy. Why wouldn't Ikaris look at him the way he looks at Sersi? Oh, that's right, Sersi was a girl and Ikaris was straight, unlike his twin brother, who was bisexual and in love with Steve Rogers.
As if sensing his thoughts, Ikaris turned to look at Y/N from across the room and smiled at him. It was a charming and teasing one. Y/N blushed hard. Should he smile back at him or should he just save himself the embarrassment and get up and leave?
I know it's strange
I don't know what I'm thinking
But is it wrong if I see him this weekend?
Was it strange for Y/N to invite Ikaris to the movies with him this weekend? He called him up and asked him if he’d like to go see the new (insert new movie of your choice) with him and Ikaris surprisingly agreed. Y/N couldn't believe his good luck, but was this wrong of him to do? It's not like they were going out on a date or anything, but the young Maximoff boy was still worried. Especially about one person in particular.
I really hope I can get him alone
I just don't, don't want him to know
Y/N really wanted to be alone with Ikaris. Just the two of them. But at the same time, he didn't want Bucky to find out about this. He didn't want his best friend to hate him for having a crush on his twin brother, so he prayed he didn't find out about them. Sersi too.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah
My best friend's brother is the one for me
Y/N couldn't deny it anymore. He was completely smitten with his best friend's brother. Of all the guys Y/N had to fall for, it was Ikaris Madden Barnes. He was the one for Y/N. Damn it!
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah
A punk rock drummer and he's six-foot-three
Ikaris wasn't six-foot-three. He was five-foot-ten with dancing blue eyes and soft dark brown hair with a gray streak in it. He was smoking hot and if that wasn’t enough. He was in a band with his friends. They called themselves: The Eternals. He was the punk rock drummer in the band, and he looked so amazing on stage when Bucky took Y/N to see them play. That’s probably when Y/N’s crush started. Seeing him on stage. Sweat glistening down his face underneath the hot lights as he had no sleeves on his shirt as they showed off his bare muscled arms.
I don't want to, but I want to
'Cause I just can't get him out of my mind, and
Y/N didn’t want to fall for Ikaris, but it was very hard not to. He was charming, handsome, funny, and kind. Yeah, Y/N had it bad for Ikaris. Every waking moment, he thought about Ikaris. He couldn't get him out of his mind, no matter how much he tried.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah
My best friend's brother is the one for me
Why did Y/N have to fall for his best friend’s brother? Pietro and Wanda warned him to be careful, but Y/N couldn't help the feelings Ikaris stirred inside of him.
… BFB, BFB
My best friend's brother
My best friend's brother
It echoed inside Y/N’s head like a pop song. Over and over again, nonstop, as his conscience reprimanded him for his impure thoughts about Ikaris. Ikaris was taken and Bucky’s brother. Y/N’s best friend!
I kinda think that I might be his type
'Cause when you're not around, he's not acting too shy
Y/N thinks he could be the type of guy Ikaris could fall for. They had similar interests and tastes, but they were almost very different as well. What did Sersi have that Y/N didn’t? When Ikaris and Bucky are in the same room together, Ikaris is calmer in an almost shy fashion, compared to when he's with Y/N alone. He’s like the most confident and cocky guy there is. Almost like Tony and Loki.
Sometimes I feel like he might make a move
Is this all in my head?
I don't know what to do
They were at the movies together watching the new film, as Ikaris clutched onto Y/N’s arm. Much to the younger boy’s embarrassment and excitement. After that they went for ice cream and just talked and laughed as Ikaris leaned forward towards Y/N as the shorter boy blushed. Was Ikaris making a move on him? Was he going to kiss him? Should Y/N kiss him back if he did? Was he just imagining all this in his head? He didn’t know what to do. Ikaris wiped the whipped cream off Y/N’s nose and giggled at the poor boy’s flustered state.
I know it's strange
I don't know what he's thinking
But is it wrong if I see him this weekend?
Apparently, Ikaris enjoyed their weekend together so much that he invited Y/N to his band play next weekend. Front row too. Y/N accepted immediately, but was a little bit confused. Why was Ikaris so eager to invite Y/N everywhere? What could he be thinking?
I really hope I can get him alone
I just don't, don't want him to know
Maybe this was Y/N’s chance to tell Ikaris how he really feels about him. To get him alone before or after the gig and confess that he’s had a crush on him for a while now. He just hopes Ikaris isn't disgusted by his confession and outs him to Bucky. It could ruin both his friendships with the Barnes twins, but Y/N has to risk it. These feelings are driving him insane.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah
My best friend's brother is the one for me
Y/N smiled as Ikaris waved to him at school. He was leaning against his locker talking to Kingo and Gilgamesh when he caught Y/N’s eyes and flashed him a smile as he waved to him. Y/N waved back shyly as Wanda chuckled beside him and Pietro bumped his shoulders teasingly.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah
A punk rock drummer and he's six-foot-three
Y/N was walking down the hallway when he heard the sound of music being played. He walked toward the sound of rock music as he stopped in the doorway of the music room and saw Ikaris with headphones in, playing his drums to the beat of the rock song. Following the song note for note. He looked amazing. Just like on stage. Y/N bit his bottom lip as he looked at Ikaris practicing as Steve came up behind Y/N and tapped him on the shoulders. “Who are you drooling over? Ikaris again?”
Y/N blushed. “Shut up, Rogers!”
Steve chuckled.
I don't want to, but I want to
'Cause I just can't get him out of my mind, and
Y/N laid in bed thinking about his decision. He didn't want to tell Ikaris that he had a crush on him and that he liked him, but at the same time, he did. Ikaris wouldn't stop plaguing his thoughts. So, he was going to do something about it and end this once and for all.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah
My best friend's brother is the one for me
Y/N snuggled into his pillow with a smile as he imagined it was his best friend’s twin brother that he was holding and cuddling against. Ikaris was the one and only one that Y/N wanted. No one else. Not even Ikaris and Bucky’s hunky cousin, Eros.
… BFB, BFB
My best friend's brother
My best friend's brother
Y/N smiled as he wrote Ikaris’s name in his journal as Bucky drove them to the concert. He and Steve were in the front of the car and Y/N and Peggy Carter were sitting in the back as Peggy glanced at Y/N’s drawing of Ikaris’s name circled with hearts all round as she chuckled.
… BFB, BFB
My best friend's brother
My best friend's brother
“I’m in love with my best friend’s brother,” Y/N thought giddy as Bucky parked the car and they all got out as they headed towards the building where Ikaris and the other members of Eternals would be playing.
'Cause he's such a dream, yeah
And you'd know what I mean
If you weren't related
Ikaris was probably everyone’s dream, including Y/N’s. The way he looked onstage as he walked towards his drums to begin playing. He looks at Y/N in the crowd and winks at him as the people go crazy as the Eternals rock out and jam. If only Bucky understood how Y/N felt. It might make things easier for him if they weren’t related. If Ikaris and Bucky weren’t brothers, then Y/N might not be so nervous about doing this.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah
My best friend's brother is the one for me
Y/N danced with Peggy as Steve and Bucky danced together to the beat of the music. Sersi and Thena were up front singing as Kingo played the guitar as Ikaris slammed on the drums as he glanced at Y/N, who looked so peaceful and happy as he and the others enjoyed their music. Y/N looked from Peggy to Ikaris and smiled as he winked at the older boy, who blushed.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah
A punk rock drummer and he's six-foot-three
The crowd enjoyed every minute of their music as Y/N watched with amusement and amazement out how much joy the Eternals brought to different people. It was so cool.
I don't want to, but I want to
'Cause I just can't get him out of my mind, and
After the concert was over, Ikaris pulled Y/N to the side in private and smiled at him. His blue eyes were shining. “So, what did you think of the band, Y/N?” Y/N smiled back as he looked up at the taller male. “You guys were amazing. Absolutely, perfect.”
“You’re perfect, Duckling…” Ikaris cupped Y/N’s cheek and stroked it gently as the other male blushed hard at the new nickname.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah
My best friend's brother is the one for me
Ikaris leaned close towards Y/N as he gave him the choice to close the gap between them or just leave things as they were. Y/N closed the space between them as he and Ikaris kissed. It was like fireworks went off as Ikaris grabbed the back of Y/N’s head to deepen their kisses as the younger boy whined against his lips as Ikaris smirked and kissed him sweet and slow.
… BFB, BFB
My best friend's brother
My best friend's brother
They separated as Y/N looked up at Ikaris. “Ikaris, listen. I like you a lot and I’ve had a very big crush on you for a good while, but you're my best friend’s brother and I don’t want things to be weird between us because of that. Also, aren’t you with Sersi?”
Ikaris looked shocked for a moment before he smiled. He kissed Y/N again before pulling back and looking him in the eyes. “I really like you too, Y/N. I alway have, but I was just too scared to admit it. Sersi and I are just friends. Best friends. And I get that you don’t want to ruin your friendship with my brother, but he will understand if you want to do this with me. Be more than friends.”
… BFB, BFB
My best friend's brother
My best friend's brother
Y/N looks at him. “Really? Bucky will be okay with this?” He gestures to both of them.
“Really…”
Y/N turns to see Bucky smiling at him. Steve, Peggy, and the others are behind him. They all look at Y/N and Ikaris with encouraging looks of endearment. “Bucky…. I… I…”
Bucky smiles gently. “I still love you, little shit. Even if you’re dating my ugly and gross twin brother. Nothing about you two liking each other will ever change our friendship. I promise.”
“Hey, I’m not ugly! You are.” Ikaris protests as Y/N chuckles. “Thanks, Buck. I really needed to hear you say that.”
“No problem. But my best friend is in love with my brother? Who would have guessed it?”

his hands gripping your thighs tight, almost bruising them. he had you pinned against his face, leaving you no room to squirm or get away. his tongue lapped at your folds, and he ate like a man starved. the tip of his tongue teased your clit, and he drank in your gasps and moans, pressing you down further onto him.
he was always eager to settle his head between your thighs, it was like his happy place. your dripping pussy was all he needed in these moments, and he felt like the luckiest man on earth when you let him please you, devour you, worship you. he didn’t have any other care in the world, nothing else mattered to him but your pleasure, and helping you chase that sweet release he knew you craved.
you gripped the headboard and threw your head back, rocking your hips against his face. you could hear him moan beneath you, and you glanced back at his aching cock, but then felt yourself jolt forward as his nose bumped against your clit. it was a stuttered breath that left your lips, and one of your hands dropped you grip his hair, making him groan. his grip on your thighs only tightened, and you could feel yourself getting closer and closer to the edge.
“oh … oh shit …” you breathed, and you swore you could hear him chuckle under you. he knew what he was doing, and he knew it drove you crazy, but that was what you loved most about him. he always knew how to treat you right, and you felt like royalty on top of him. you again heard him mumbled against you, and it was like a reassurance, telling you you could let go. but also a warning: he wasn’t going to stop even if you did. but in that moment, you didn’t care.
“fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck!” you gasped, and your muscles tensed, your toes curled, and you orgasmed with a cry of pleasure. and yet his tongue continued to delve between your folds, and you couldn’t escape him. your sensitivity only spurred him on, and even as your orgasm washed over you, you knew it was going to be the first of many that night.
just like it always was.

Hiii i just noticed thena's ear piercing can you do a fic where sprite visit them in Australia and then Gilgamesh leave for a market and sprite pierce her ear and Gilgamesh totally freak out🤣 i think it would be fun 🤣
"What did you do?!"
"Oh come on, Gil," Sprite whined.
"Sprite!" he growled right back at her. It would sound intimidating if he didn't sound so distressed. "I was gone for one hour! And now Thena's bleeding!"
"Will you stop?" Sprite rolled her eyes, leaning against the sink. She'd been pushed - tossed - there after Gil rushed in, having smelled Thena's blood from a good distance away. He'd rushed in to cradle his beloved in his arms, no matter how unscathed the Warrior Eternal was. "It's a piercing--she already has them!"
"Yeah, she does! She didn't need more!" Gil glared at his tiny sister, cradling Thena's head against his chest. He was overreacting, and they all knew it, him included. But he knew the kind of trouble these two in particular could get up to if left unsupervised. "What made you think of this?!"
Sprite shrugged, looking around the room and up at the ceiling. "We were bored."
"We?"
"Yes," the Illusionist huffed. "Thena's so mopey when you're gone. And I told her I wanted to get my ears pierced-"
"And that somehow became this?" Gil gestured, pointing out the fresh holes in Thena's ears, as well as the blood there. "They shouldn't be bleeding this much."
"Well, I might not have aimed the best the first time."
Gil closed his eyes and buried his nose in Thena's hair. All the stars in the sky, give him strength not to throw Sprite into the stratosphere.
"Gil, I'm fine."
He sighed, at last loosening his grip on Thena. "Why did you let her do this?"
Thena just shrugged, though, very much like Sprite, and also very unbothered by her bleeding. "You were gone."
That wasn't the explanation she thought it was.
"I'm sorry, Gil," Sprite sighed loudly, sounding very put out by having to apologise to her brother at all. She dragged the toe of her boot along the floor. "I thought it would be cool to see if Thena could make a needle to use for piercing but...I was too scared to test it first."
Gil gave Sprite a look; "you're an Eternal, Sprite."
"I told her she could practise on me."
Gil inhaled, gathering his mental strength again. Sprite shrank in on herself, genuinely feeling bad for winding him up so badly.
Thena reached up to the back of Gil's head, pulling it down so he could nestle against her more closely.
"I can't heal you, Thena--not out here. Not like...I-"
Sprite caught Thena leaning in to kiss his cheek and averted her eyes. She didn't want to see shit like this. This was exactly what prompted her escape/visit to Australia in the first place.
"I'm sorry we scared you," Thena all but whispered, her lips close to his skin as she spoke.
Gil pulled back, smiling as much as he could to let her know that her apology was accepted. He sighed, "okay, let me see."
Sprite turned back, hearing Thena gasp. She hadn't even blinked when she'd pushed her Cosmic Energy forged needle through--did it hurt now?
Gil latched onto the earlobe, running his tongue along the new spot, both soothing the swelling there as well as inflaming the tip of the ear red.
Sprite made a gagging noise.
Gil let go but didn't stray far, glaring at Sprite from once again nestling into Thena's mane of blonde. "You deserve it for putting both of us through this."
"Okay, I get it, enough!" Sprite screeched, stomping outside as Gil tilted Thena's head down so he could repeat his disgusting display of affection to her other ear.
Thena purred out a laugh as his tongue ran over the spots rapidly healing, even on their own. "You're tormenting her."
"Shush, I'm healing you," he chuckled, although he'd moved from the earlobe to kiss up the ridge of the ear. "She deserves a little time to cool off anyway."
Thena hummed as he pulled her upright again, still holding her in his arms. She sighed. "She's here to escape-"
"I know," Gil sighed. "I'm glad she feels like she can come to us."
Thena smiled. "Me too."
"But that does not mean she can put holes in my wife's ears while I'm running errands."

hi! can i request #1 with druig? love your writing<3
A/N - I love this for Druig! Thanks for requesting this, anon!
Subtle
Summary - Druig doesn't know how to be subtle, even during a meeting
Tumblr media
Warnings - Just some fluff :)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
“And the next order of business, let’s discuss some of the new crops that are finally ready for harvest.”
You are of course trying to pay attention to Ajak as she was conducting the meeting with the others out on the Domo, early in the morning before you would all go off on your chores and tasks with the humans in the neighboring city.  It was just like any other meeting you all would have: check in with the humans and their evolutions, discuss anything that needed improvement or fixing, find solutions to some of the simpler troubles that the humans were having together, etc.  You were used to these meeting, not minding them at all since most of the time you are involved with what was needed to happen.
However, your lover across the way was not listening.  He was watching you, and you knew full well the look he was giving.
Being the Mind Controller, Druig had nothing else to do but fiddle with his thumbs and listen to the consistent ramblings.  He couldn’t do too much anyhow since he was not allowed to interfere with the human emotion, but he did help out with smaller tasks and helping steer the humans away from any Deviant attacks.  But then again, that never stopped him from using his ability on unsuspecting humans that were acting foolish or simply just in his line of fire.  You knew he meant well, and Druig had a big heart.  But sometimes it was overlooked by the others.
But not by you, not by the love of his life.
You two, although not made public or official by anyone in the Eternal group, were an item and attached to the hip.  It started as a friendship that began right when you two woke up on the Domo for the first time.  But as time went on, just the like evolution of humans, the evolution of your love was happening before you two could realize it.  Druig snuck into your heart and soul, the nights on patrol where you two talked about everything and anything on your heart, protecting one another from Deviants when they attack.  He found you to be his sun and moon in times where he felt defeated or useless, and he never slowed in showing his love to you.
It was simply the fact that you two still have to be civl in front of the others, not just to hide the fact that you two were in love and committed to one another, but not wishing the others to see you two in a new light because of It.  Not that you two were all about the public displays of affection, Druig was better than that when it came to you.  It was simply wanting to have this relationship be between you two, no one else needing to know.
But that never slowed Druig down in holding your hand when you two were alone, kissing you early in the morning before he would leave your room, pressing his shoulder against yours when you two had a moment of peace.
Even with a meeting, just like this one, Druig would let his gaze linger a bit longer than it should.
“Alright, the last Deviant sighting we had was out east, we’ll do a patrol of the area and then another patrol around the town to make sure there’s not area of weakness,” Ajak kept going with the meeting, Ikaria and Sersi chatting with her as you looked from your spot next to Kingo to Druig who was across from her next to Makkari.  His gaze on you was a bit longer than it should be, almost a small smirk on his face as you looked back at him.  He looked away after a soldi second, trying to look back and pay attention to Ajak, yet his smile he gave you was still on his face.  Makkari gave him a playful shove, Druig rolling his eyes at her as you heard Kingo clear his throat next to you.
“You two are cute, you know,” He whispered under his breath, you giving him a small shove.  Of course you didn’t want him to anything, let alone to announce it in front of the others who might now know.  Leave it to Kingo for wishing to breaking the ice and to call out what others don’t see.  You looked from Kingo, who was smirking and was now gazing back at Ajak, over to Druig to see him once again giving you a kind stare.  He even winked at you, making you feel like you should blush.
Sprite, on Druig’s other side, rolled her eyes a bit too dramatically.  Druig, seeing it out of the corner of his eyes, leaned up to stretched his back with his arms.  But he smacked her on the back of the head instead and she yelped/
The rest of the group looked, Sprite giving Druig a dirty look as Ajak cleared her throat.
“Is there a problem?” She asked both Sprite and Druig.  Sprite was about to say something when Druig gave her a knowing look.  She said nothing, a bit disgruntled and shook her head as Druig looked over at Ajak with a shake of his head too.  Ajak eyed them both, maybe suspicious of what was going on or what could have been going on, then started talking again.  You were watching her again, not wanting to cause trouble as Makkari tapped Druig on the shoulder to get his attention.
You are not subtle.  You know that, right?  She signed to him before she looked back at Ajak.  Druig watched you as you were listening to Ajak, his own blush was there on his cheeks.  Maybe he liked making you bush and smile, or to hear you laugh and giggle about some story you would tell her, or the simple press of her lips on his was enough to make his heart sing.
No, He was not subtle at all. And he had no shame in it.

I Get a Sugar Rush Whenever I'm With You - Epilogue: Six Months Later...
Well, the end is finally here, fellow Drukkari stans! If you missed any previous installments and need to catch up, you can find them all on my Table of Contents here or just read the full thing on AO3 if you have an account. It's been quite the journey, so if you're still with me, thank you for being here! Now, without further ado, I present to you the epilogue of Drukkari in the Great British Bake Off!
Tumblr media
The bag wasn't that heavy, but Druig had carried the damn thing all the way from home to Makkari's apartment to Ajak's place, and his arm was getting rather tired. If Makkari noticed (and she usually did), she said nothing of it. She just flashed him a smile that made his stomach flip, took his other hand, and pulled him insistently up the hill to Ajak's place.
Ajak's house was a medium-sized country cottage that stood on top of a hill. Neither of them had been there before, but she'd sent plenty of pictures of it at various times of day with the invitations in case anyone got lost trying to find the remote building. Before they even reached the top, he heard a chorus of voices calling their names through the open front door as they approached, welcoming them in.
Their series of Bake Off had been airing for the past nine weeks, so Ajak thought it only right to invite everyone to a reunion so they could watch the finale together. After all, only four of them had been in the tent that week, so it was only fair that the rest of them got to experience it together. They'd decided to make it a potluck, with some of them opting to recreate their best bakes from the tent. At Makkari's request, Druig had made his éclairs. She'd opted to make empanadas, and Druig had been carrying both dishes for most of the journey. Makkari had offered to carry the éclairs, but knowing his girlfriend, Druig had kept them safely stowed to ensure the sweets actually made it to the party. Even as he was setting them out, she'd snuck up behind him and stole one off the tray.
As she happily munched away, Druig smirked as he remarked, Leave some for the rest of us, darling.
Makkari gave him a look of mock offense as she replied, I think I've shown great restraint. If anything, I deserve the rest as a reward.
"Oh no you don't! I recognize those," Kingo interjected, snatching one up. He bit into it and sighed heavily. "Whatever demon you sold your soul to for this recipe, can you give them my number?"
"Mine too, if it's as good as Kingo and Makkari say!" Sersi said, looking at Druig pointedly. Somehow, he still hadn't gotten around to sending them the recipe. At the sight of Sersi putting two éclairs on a plate, Kingo let out an affronted huff.
"No fair!" he complained.
"The other one is for Dane!"
"Sure. That plate's gonna be empty when you get back to him."
Sersi's jaw dropped in stunned offense, but before she could respond, Ajak swept in.
"If you're all going to fight over them, why don't we just make these an appetizer?" she said diplomatically. With that, she picked up the tray and began distributing the rest amongst the other bakers.
"Always the mother hen," Sprite remarked as she passed by them.
Good to see you, Sprite! Makkari said, ruffling the teen's hair. A look of annoyance passed briefly over Sprite's face before quickly fading into resignation.
"Good to see you, too, Makkari,” she responded with a slight smile before turning to Druig. "Don't be too gross. There are way too many couples here as it is."
"I have no idea what you mean," he answered, looping an arm around Makkari's shoulders. Right on cue, she planted a kiss on his cheek, causing Sprite to make disgusted noises as she walked away.
"She did the same thing to us earlier," Gilgamesh called from the sitting room, where he and Thena sat by the TV. Makkari was in front of them in a moment, bending down to hug them one at a time.
"Keep an eye on your éclairs," Druig called over to them. Gil laughed heartily while Thena merely raised an eyebrow at him before informing Makkari what he'd said. Makkari just shook her head.
You know I would never! she insisted, but the slightly too innocent look on her face told a different story.
"How are things, Druig?" Gil asked.
"Are you treating our speediest baker right?" Thena added.
"Things have been good for me. What say you, m'darling?" Druig said, turning to his girlfriend.
Very good for me as well, she answered, but Druig wouldn't let me eat all the éclairs and now I'm starving!
"Then go get a plate and eat!" Ajak said, taking Makkari's hand and leading her back to the food. As they left, Thena and Gil both turned to Druig with amused smiles on their faces.
"I was going to surprise her, but maybe I should just tell her I made her a separate batch of éclairs," he confided.
"Good man," Thena replied with an approving nod.
"Wish I'd thought of that," Gil remarked.
They were still chuckling quietly as Druig followed Ajak and Makkari back to the food table. Along the way, he narrowly avoided being run over by Jack, who was giggling and running with an éclair in each hand. Phastos had apparently been chasing him around the kitchen trying to take the éclairs back.
"Save those for after dinner!" he called.
"Everyone else is eating theirs now!" the little boy protested. Even as he said so, Ben had walked over, midway through eating his own pastry. At the sight, Phastos let out a sigh.
"Alright, just this once. And let daddy have the other one."
"Yay!"
Jack trotted over, handing one éclair to Phastos. They raised them as if raising their cups for a toast and bit in at the same time. Jack's face lit up with an enormous smile, and even Phastos gave pause as he considered the pastry.
"That's so good!" Jack exclaimed.
"It is. Say thank you to Druig for making them," Phastos said.
"Thank you, Mr. Druig!" the little boy called over.
"Just Druig. And you're welcome," Druig responded with a small smile.
Before Druig even got to the table holding all of the food, Makkari came over carrying two full plates. She immediately handed one to him, using her now free hand to say, Hurry up! It'll be starting soon.
Thank you, beautiful, he replied, his smile quickly taking over his face. She grinned back as she took his free hand and led him back over to the TV.
-
They gathered around the TV and ate happily as they watched Gil, Phastos, and Makkari work on their signatures. They'd all done pretty well, though Phastos had had a slight mishap and forgotten to turn on his oven.
"Wow, what a rookie mistake!" Kingo said, shaking his head.
"Weren't you there when this happened?" Druig interjected.
"Shut up, Druig."
A crouton sailed across the room, hitting Kingo right between the eyes. Druig and Makkari high-fived while the others erupted into laughter and Ajak chided them, but as to which of them threw it, no one was quite sure.
"So judgmental. I was stressed!" Phastos protested. "And I still got there in the end."
Indeed, Phastos finished the challenge in the nick of time, and his cake wasn't even underbaked, much to Kingo's annoyance. The room lauded his efforts.
The technical came next, and they all observed with a mixture of amusement and sympathy as the three contestants scrambled to make the perfect braided bread loaf. It was a close call, but Makkari took first place. The rest of the bakers, both on TV and in Ajak's crowded sitting room, applauded silently. Makkari's face lit up with a smile as Druig kissed her hand and said, Well done, gorgeous.
While still entertaining, interest began to wane as the show arrived at the showstopper. After all, they'd all witnessed the end in person. People returned to the kitchen for seconds and desserts, though the éclairs were long gone by now, as Makkari sulkily pointed out. Of course, the sulking ended as soon as Druig told her there was another batch waiting at home. With the winner announced and the room erupting into another round of applause for Gil, they quieted as the episode entered its final few minutes. The air practically crackled with anticipation as words appeared on the screen.
This year on The Great British Bake Off, love was in the air…
There was a murmur of confusion from half the bakers, but the other half, including Druig and Makkari, were smilingly knowingly. On the screen appeared three still images, one of Thena and Gilgamesh, another of Sersi and Dane, and a final one of Druig and Makkari. Their fellow bakers gasped and whooped in surprise. Sprite only rolled her eyes.
The show then transitioned into a montage of Gil and Thena giving each other knowing smiles in the tent, talking to each other during breaks, and Thena hugging him at the final. Text revealed that Gil had asked Thena out immediately after she was eliminated and that they had been together ever since. Next came a series of Sersi and Dane's interactions, with the two making each other laugh during challenges and sitting together during breaks. The video confirmed that they had started dating shortly after Dane was sent home.
"We could've told you that," Sprite snarked. Her remark was met with giggles and shushes.
Finally, the show shifted to Druig and Makkari's moments. Druig felt his stomach turn a bit. While he'd agreed to the montage – Darcy had personally reached out to ask their permission before putting it together – he hadn't gotten to review the footage. Makkari hadn't either, and she reached over again to squeeze his hand reassuringly. He squeezed back as they focused on the screen. The video cycled through footage of them signing jokes to each other from across the tent, Druig's interviews that were clearly conducted by Makkari, the two of them holding hands as they waited to hear the weekly elimination results, the hosts asking Makkari about Druig, making her blush. He might've been mistaken, but Druig felt like their section was going on a bit longer than the other two. Finally, the montage ended with a shot of them walking away from the picnic hand-in-hand and a message confirming that they were now together.
"Wait, was that from the afterparty?" Kingo asked. There were a couple gasps as their fellow bakers realized this as well. Ajak's mouth had fallen open, and she seemed caught between being scandalized and delighted.
"Where are you even going? To go make out in the bushes?" Phastos teased.
I didn't realize they caught that, Makkari observed, a slight blush settling on her cheeks.
"Yeah, I thought we were being sneaky," Druig agreed.
"I thought I kept everyone sufficiently distracted, but I guess I forgot the camera people," Sersi added with a sheepish smile.
The show then moved on, detailing Kingo and Karun's well-documented road trip to visit the other bakers, which Kingo hoped to turn into a documentary. There were a few groans from the audience.
"They already got a whole series. Who'd want to watch more of us?" Gil remarked.
"Lots of people! " Kingo retorted.
"Have you even directed anything before, Kingo?" Druig asked.
"Some internet content."
"How many views?"
"I don't do it for the views!"
This caused quite a few of their fellow bakers to chuckle, but the video had moved on. It then showed Phastos baking at home with Ben and Jack as text revealed that he was now working on a book about baking and engineering, to which everyone else offered their congratulations. The screen then transitioned to a clip of Sprite baking and even laughing with Ajak, as the two had started making TikTok videos together not long after the competition ended.
"See? Lots of people would love to watch more of us!" Kingo said, pointing to the screen.
The credits finally began to roll, and the group broke out into a brief applause.
"Wait, did Ikaris appear in the end?" Dane asked. Although they'd spotted him briefly in Kingo and Karun's road trip, there hadn't been any further revelations on what he was currently up to.
"Well, it wasn't in there, but I think the announcement is already online," Ikaris began, pulling out his phone. After a brief glance, he smiled and looked up as he said, "I'm coming back for Holiday Bake Off."
The room erupted with celebratory cheers.
-
A little while later, Druig was standing on the porch of Ajak's house looking out at the stars. As happy as he was to see everyone again, it was getting pretty warm inside. He'd come out to get some air, and it wasn't long before the door opened and shut behind him again. Druig knew who it was without looking. A pair of thin but surprisingly strong arms wrapped around his middle, enveloping him in warmth. After a moment, Makkari's hands came up to sign, You're not cold?
He turned around in her arms and spoke slowly so she could read his lips. "No. Are you cold, beautiful?"
She shook her head a bit before answering, Not yet. She smiled as she added, That was a nice surprise from Darcy.
It was, he agreed. Didn't know you had the hots for me since Bread Week.
Makkari's eyebrows shot up. How do you know what week that was? I didn't remember.
I remember your red headband from that week. She raised an eyebrow at this. You were also kneading dough in that clip, Druig replied, a grin spreading across his face as Makkari rolled her eyes and fought back her own smile.
I still don't know how it took you the whole ten weeks to figure out how I felt. Everyone else knew before that!
Well, when did you figure out how I felt? Druig asked. Makkari raised her hands to speak but stopped short. Druig could almost see the wheels turning in her mind as her eyebrows drew together and her lips pursed in thought. He chuckled as he continued, See? Everyone probably figured it out before you as well.
Fine, we were both oblivious! she conceded with a small laugh.
Oblivious to each other, definitely, he agreed. After a moment, he asked, When did you know you liked me?
Makkari tapped her chin in mock thoughtfulness before she answered. The second day.
Druig felt his eyebrows raise at the revelation. Makkari laughed softly at his expression. That early? he asked.
You were so quick to join my investigation. So, I gave you my number, she pointed out.
You also gave your number to Kingo, he retorted.
Kingo exchanged numbers with me, Ajak, and Karun on the first day. He was too intimidated to ask for yours. Druig rolled his eyes before she continued. What about you? When did you know you liked me?
You really don't know? he asked, though it was more of a statement than a question. She only looked at him expectantly, brown eyes shining up at him. As always, Druig couldn't resist that look. My beautiful, beautiful Makkari, I have loved you from the moment I laid eyes on you.
Makkari's gaze softened as she replied, Is that right?
Damn right it is. She smiled contentedly at his answer. A moment later, Makkari wrapped her arms around his neck, pulling him down for a kiss. Druig eagerly reciprocated, his arms winding around her waist to pull her closer. It was soft and tender, leaving them both a little breathless. As they leaned their foreheads together, the moment was briefly broken when Druig heard a few voices that sounded like Ajak, Kingo, and possibly Sersi calling their names.
They're calling us back, he told Makkari with a sigh, but she only smiled at him.
They can wait a few more minutes, she responded.
I love the way you think, he replied with a smile.
I love you, my handsome Druig, Makkari said.
I love you, my beautiful Makkari, Druig replied. With that, he kissed her soundly once again. And if a few of their friends happened upon the sight of them and not-so-silently fled the scene, they paid them no heed.

Could I request angst headcanons for dating Kingo and Druig, poly relationship, please
Poly! Kingo, Druig, and GN!Reader Angst headcanons
Tumblr media
I think there would be two major points for angst in a poly relationship with Kingo and Druig and that would depend on if their partner was immortal or not
If their partner was immortal:
I feel like the main point of angst and grievance would come from the romance slowly fizzling out over the years
It would be nobody's fault.
yeah, Druig could've tried a little harder to plan dates
of course Kingo could have spent less time working and more time with his lovers
but in the end, it would all dial down to the allure of discovering something new in the relationship
Bickering would turn into arguing and arguing into full blown fights
Slowly, you would all become worn down, and part ways.
The love you hold for each other being the downfall because the love you had for each other made you fight hard (and in the end not hard enough) for a relationship that is doomed to fail
If their partner was mortal:
If their partner was mortal, Druig would fall madly and deeply in love, (maybe even quicker than with an immortal partner) only for the realisation that they could maybe have fifty or sixty years together before age and illness caught up with them
He would pull back from his partner
Starting with small excuses
"I have to tend to the villagers"
"Sersi has asked for my assistance..."
Each trip would last longer and longer, until he would be tempted to never return
Druig knew he couldn't handle his partner dying, it would break him and Kingo. He would never be the same.
Knowing this, he would urge Kingo to join him, saying that you deserve a relationship where you could grow old with your partner.
Kingo would reluctantly agree, but he couldn't just leave you
So he would watch you slowly age from a distance and tell himself that it is for the best.
but he was trying to convince himself more than anyone else
