Hi! wanted to say hi because I'm very fond of thematic worldstates, like the ones you have, I love the intricacies, and the ping pong between the protagonists! So, yeah, can't wait to see/learn more about them!

Oh, thanks! Choosing a theme for each run is sort of like choosing a focus, for me, letting me shape the characters and their choices around it and then seeing how those choices shape the story. I love the fact that I can still be surprised by what emerges from these games and the choices therein, even after so many years.

And also, I love playing RPGs as a character-building exercise. I was just telling a friend over the weekend that the two things hit very similar buttons in my writerbrain, and I enjoy them in much the same way.

new year drabbles 7/7

this is probably the last of the bunch because i want to write other things for february, thank you so much everybody who volunteered their characters. :)

aka two drunk guys with a blaster

"Wanna bet?" Al'ethien grinned and played with the credit chip, throwing it in the air and catching it in his hand. On his third throw, he missed the chip and it landed on their table where it spun around until Shavi snatched it.

Shavi held the chip between two fingers and inspected it, buying himself some time to think. He really, really couldn't afford to lose any more credits tonight, but there was no way the bounty hunter could actually hit the target at this distance. The guy had downed at least half a dozen of the strongest drinks served in this cantina. He shouldn't even be able to stand up straight with that much alcohol in his bloodstream.

“I'm in,” Shavi finally said with a wide grin of his own, casually ignoring the fact that he was probably too drunk to make any important decisions either. “100 credits. And try not to shoot the bartender.”

The bounty hunter stood, relatively steady, drawing his blaster. There were some gasps from the tables around them, but Shavi stayed calm, still convinced that this was a safe bet. The shot wasn't impossible, but the target was really small. There was no way the hunter would actually be able to...

Al'ethien fired his blaster and hit the ugly Hutt in the holo add straight right between the eyes.

“Somebody owes me 100 credits.”

Well, fuck.

Shavi grimaced. He was starting to realize that Al'ethien probably wasn't as drunk as he pretended to be and that he had probably just let himself be conned. He buried his head in his hands and groaned.

“Come on, I didn't expect you to be a sore looser.” The bounty hunter joked. “What about.... you give it a try? I bet another 100 credits on you making an ass of yourself.”

This time there was no internal debate. One look at the guy's smug smile and the matter was decided for Shavi.

He stood on wobbly feet, moving maybe a bit too fast as he felt the cantina around him slant and turn. He eyed the distance between the chair and the mirror and the hutt's ugly neon head above the bar and he wished he hadn't just downed that last glass of Corellian brandy. Maybe this wasn't such a good idea after all...

“Watch me,” he exclaimed, words leaving his mouth before he could follow that thought to its inevitable conclusion. He raised his blaster, positioned himself and ignored the warning screech of the bartender in the background.

❌ What kind of things would end any relationship for them? Is there a history behind why these things bother them? Could they ever take someone back despite this? If so or if not, why? Well aside from the obvious, intensely morally despicable things (despite the concept of moral being loose in the cp77 universe) it would be some decision or action,not necessarily involving himself, that breaks trust, cause trust matters a lot to him. Stuff like screwing somebody close to you over for some senseless selfish gain would make him question absolutely everything about your character. Cheating falls under that category, I do not think he could really truly forgive it, cause it's one of the things that is very black-and-white to him. He would never do it and just doesn't see why somebody else would.

🔥 Give us a list of general likes and dislikes, such as colours, textures, music, weather and other stuff! Colours: black and anything bright vs beige or that kind of muted icky tones because that is not a colour it's a travesty/ textures: smooth metal, leather, sand, fluffy things vs mushy food, stuff breaking with a crunch under your heel, wet fabric / music: anything that is energetic or highly emotional really vs that type of chillout music that is only good for sleeping/ no weather in particular but prefers a sunny day/ food: salty or spicy vs too sweet / in general he likes things that tend to some extreme rather than subdued 💗 What would your OC say is their best feature? Why? What do their friends / family / lover(s) / people they know think is their best feature and why? He doesn't really fancy himself all that handsome lol he'd probably say his eyes cause... they're a pretty colour? People would probably agree but because he also emotes a lot with them, and it's very endearing. Or terrifying, too, depending on circumstances, but that’s kind of hot too I guess. Ker would go full error:the server is taking too long to respond while trying to decide what he likes best, and then say 'his ass' to deflect from the fact that he can't pick and has romanticized and written lyrics even about idk, that one freckle on V's back.

🌺 Does your OC have any tattoos or other body art? Does their body art have any specific meaning behind it? Do they have any scars? How did they get those scars? Any birthmarks? He has a lot! He's got the snake + goat canon combo, and then I hc him as having old school roses on the neck (when him and Judy meet they're like 'AYYYEE TAT BUDDY') and an old school /american traditional armful (all black and white). Some of them are just because he liked the aesthetic, others are attached to memories (they can also be dumb memories, mind you) or people. Big ass goat skull ie was for a childhood friend that got killed by the Wraiths. He later gets an iguana and Jackie's initials tattooed to memorialize how they met (and the infamous Johnny + V tat that sends me everytime) Scars ...oof. Quite a lot. Forehead one, like 1000 on his knees, several bullet wounds, and that's all before even going to NC tbh :'D

Hi!! First of all thank you a lot for all of your work on dragon age and co, with the irl info stuff and all the lore keeping etc it's honestly amazing and it keeps just.. the dragon age universe and fandom both alive, it's amazing. Second, I sort of had a theory, regarding da4, that even tho I think is very unlikely, still won't leave me alone. It's about the new protagonist being a sort of Evanuris vessel Solas/Flemeth way, for another of the elven God, 1/2

Hello! Thankyou  (〃∀〃)ゞ  I don’t know enough about 2077 at the moment to comment from that angle I’m afraid (excited to see Keanu at TGA today though!). I’m not sure how feasible it would be to write the new PC as being in a situation like that, but I’ll be surprised if we don’t hear from another member of the Evanuris, or at least substantially more about them in general, in the game. Ghilan’nain and Andruil have been fairly prominent in recent material.. Maybe some of the Ghilan’nain-related plot stuff comes to the forefront, or an ancient elf joins our team and we get to hear more about everything from them? What of the Forgotten Ones? And how is Morrigan or the Inquisitor (whoever drank from the Well) getting on, now that they carry the voices of the Well with them? I don’t think the Evanuris were great, and there are corroborating bits saying as much in codexes and TN etc, but it would sure be interesting to hear another side of the story, as currently our main direct source is Solas. I’ll add too that Flemeth was a vessel and carried with her the piece of Mythal, but when asked if he was like Flemythal Solas’ response is that no, the way he is as we’ve known him is all he’s ever been.

She has loads so here you go! I’ll try and go into as much detail as possible.

Majority of it is weaponry!

Mantis Blades. Her primary weapon. This was the first enhancement she had ever bought when she got her first paycheck from Arasaka. In my personal headcanon hers are a hell of a lot longer than what we have ingame. 

Optical Vision. But a very generic and old version of Kiroshi. If your V dies, I guarantee she will come and claim their eyes for herself! 

Techhair: Color/Light emitting artificial hair. Well parts of it anyways. This was mostly Pre-Arasaka Eve before she got the majority of them removed

Voice Synthesizer: Only really uses it to intimidate/mimic animals.

WEARMAN: Ever wanted to fight a crazy neon woman in the dark with music blaring the entire time? Well here you go and goodluck!

Reinforced Joints/ASM: Lets her do the majority of her Acrobatic and Martial Arts during combat.

19. is your character from night city? if no, where were they born? what brought them to night city? if yes, what area of the city did they grow up?

She comes from Oregon! Born and raised until she was 16 when her family moved to NY with whatever remaining fortunes they had from deceased relatives. Unfortunately her father was killed by a gang member and her mother was never found. Eve gathered whatever remaining money she could find and hit the streets at 20 years of age when she got evicted. She met Adam, she backpacked his ass and now they’re both in Night City. Long story short.

No, her family died in new york and she will keep it that way.

39. are they in a committed relationship or do they date around?

Hyena flirts a lot but she doesn’t run off sleeping around or falling in love anymore. She’s got one (1) Cyborg on her mind 24/7 and she’s gonna keep it that way. 

68. in what outfit do they feel sexiest? how do they dress to impress?

I wouldn't say she really dresses sexy tbh. But if you consider her wearing adams older clothes lowky kinda cute n sexy then that would be it!

... Yes.

Generally, yes.  But sometimes he gets in over his head.  And sometimes his *ahem* cultural biases get the better of proper judgement. 8)

Definitely has ... though mainly because Blakk believed he didn’t deserve the money.  It’s not something he makes a habit of, although the proper, heart-wrenching circumstances might get him to do it again.

3. have they ever gotten in a fight on the streets?

Oh yes. 8)  Even broke his arm and met a serious love interest (who was the one who broke his arm @kaosstar

4. has anything happened to them on the streets?

Probably a little of everything, given his career choice.

5. are they cautious when out?

Very cautious, but sometimes not cautious enough.

W: Water1. do they drink enough water?

Definitely not, dehydration FTW, you know how it is. 8)

2. have they learned to swim?

Yes.  Blakk is an extremely excellent swimmer, even better than U.

3. do they like to swim?

No.  Blakk HATES it, he HATES water, and he would do anything never to have to swim again.  Water is his One True Fear.  His extreme water proficiency is because 1) Intel made him, and 2) The faster he can swim, the faster he can get out of it.

4. can they dive?

Yes.  A++ excellent diver, also better than U.

5. can they swim without holding their nose?

Yes.

Oh my god, yessss! Σ(ノ°▽°)ノI don’t really talk about it since none of my friends play with it and I’m kinda used to just playing with it and not even post anything about it here or talk about it in generally, haha. But I love the game so much (the movies too; I grow up watching the old ones with my mom)!

Btw have you seen the trailer or gameplay for Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order??? I’m watching theRadBrad’s gameplay right now and oh my god  it looks *chef kiss* perfect. The vibe of the game, the graphics, the dynamic of the combat and the story so far got me so excited!!! (The redhead guy - Cal Kestis is just damn adorable too! And the droid, BD-1!!!! Ahhhh I love it.)
