The cliche of the feuding musicians that make this incredible music together is hard to shake. Look, many groups that are cherished as the masters of rock had their share of conflicts. You usually need two sides to tango like in the case of Kiss. To be honest, I'm not shocked they sort of had their share of interpersonal conflicts thanks to one part of the group being all party-like, they did project an image of danger with their work, which transforms their fights into one of the ingredients for their success. Of course, they did persevere in this combustile configuration for a while, but one can tell from their early opus they eventually set the path towards becoming this big corporate rock entity that everyone pays to see to play their greatest hits.
