Mortal Kombat Headcanons
Frost
Frost is going through a teenage rebellion of some kind. Yes, she's a bit old for one, but hey every person in their early 20's has a right to be immature. She feels a bit confused, dismissed and disrespected.
Kuai Liang was always her father figure, so Frost internalised and took the Shirai Ryu rivalry very seriously. So when Kuai Liang started making peace with Hanzo she didn't take it very well.
Frost has a wrapped sense of justice and logic thanks to her childhood, considering she killed her own mother. Before becoming a part of the Lin Kuei she lived in a bad environment. (If her mother is truly like Sindel we can only imagine and guess what that was like).
Rain flirts with her all the time, and he is genuinely interested in her. (Can we get her a boyfriend?)
Her acting out is her way of getting everyone's attention, and she believes it's a great way of proving herself.
Mileena
Mileena is desperate for a relationship with Kitana, so she's willing to be an antagonist so long as it means having her attention, but there's still resentment. Even with that resentment Mileena is somewhat caring and protective of her, judging on how she doesn't want Kitana and Liu Kang to marry.
She wants love, and lots of it. She thinks that by having the throne she will be given that love, since Shao Kahn was given it.
Mileena and Frost can become friends.
If things were different, her and Skarlet would get along well.
(Skarlet should've been the Jade to Mileena's Kitana. Why Netherrealm Studios? Why?)
Skarlet
Even though it was Shao Kahn that introduced her to bloodmagic, it was Shang Tsung that taught her how to cope with it. (Since he created her in the flesh pits before her backstory was retconned)
Skarlet experienced racism and classism during her early stay with Shao Kahn, and she longed for Kitana and Jade's respect. Due to their shunning she holds a harsh bitterness towards them.
Based on Rain's intro she is partially Edenian, but is mostly Outworld-ian.
Mileena and Skarlet would never admit it, but they both have a bit of a sibling bond with each other. But it's one of actual rivalry thanks to their narcissistic parental figures. Her infatuation with Shao Kahn is a sign that bloodmagic is slowly and surely leading to her insanity, before she did not view him in that way.
Erron Black is the only person she's had a relationship with. Ever since Erron she hasn't been in a relationship due to the fear of being hurt again, but she has been getting a certain Shaolin's eye on her. (I think Kung Lao was genuinely flattered when he said "We hardly know each other.")
Shang Tsung
He does feel some kind of care for Mileena, but in the end she is like a dish to be proud of and served instead of growing a bond with.
He gets a bit prideful from her accomplishments, though.
"Mileena would never do that thereafter. Mileena did you do that thereafter?"
When Skarlet was much younger she used to follow him around just to see how well he would perform magic in order to improve her own skill.
Noob Saibot
Noob/Bi Han takes a lot of things people say literally. Because of this he is the least antagonistic towards Johnny Cage.
His soul is enslaved so a lot of what he does is not the actual Bi Han, but he is sometimes able to break out of it to deliver a few lines.
He has mistakenly gotten into a few debates with Shang Tsung about the use of dark magic vs soul magic.
Kitana and Jade
Very classist and a bit racist, on Jade's part.
Were mean to Skarlet during their upbringing and intentionally isolated themselves from her.
As much as Kitana doesn't want to admit it, she is much like Shao Kahn.
Kitana is 17-19 in human years. Jade is 21-23.
(I like Kitana and Jade but there's things about them that I don't like)

I really liked the chainsaw weapon reader with Liu kang and kitana, may I request a part 2 of it?
(Maybe a fluff fic but unless you prefer Drabble)
have a good day!
based off of these headcanons
Birthday Surprise - Kitana x Liu Kang x Reader
The day before your birthday had begun like any other. Early in the morning, you had gotten up to continue work on your bear sculpture, who was really beginning to come together. Liu Kang and Kitana watched you from the kitchen.
“Can I see it just one more time?” Kang inquired.
Kitana sighed, pulling the unassuming box out from its hiding spot beneath the cabinet. “Fine!” She grumbled, “But no more peeking, we have to wrap it soon!” she exclaimed.
Kang gazed down at the magnificent golden gauntlets the box contained, littered with shimmering gems. It seemed to illuminate the dark room with what little light it caught.
“Do you think Y/N will like it?” Kang said, concealing the gloves once more.
“Nonsense, Y/N will love it.” Kitana beamed. It was times like this when Liu Kang and Kitana were more excited for your birthday than you ever were.

havik/kitana is fuckin wild man (no shade, I low-key want to see her and Kenshi bone)
I'm not even sure I can process it, which tbh makes me more interested. What gets them past "I detest her, she represents all that I oppose" and "Jesus H. Butts, what is that" respectively?
GODD ITS ABT THE. I don’t know if I should try describing this in head canon or mini fic format so I’ll just do both.
His appearance doesn’t affect her the way it should; It’s the long, rough years of training in her, perhaps. She’s seen scarred warriors before.
Thought, she supposed, scars of combat were different from scars of subjugation.
“I empathize with your plight, ” She has to say it to keep the truth alive, because it is, truly, a useless truth that helps no one. “But we shouldn’t correct previous injustices by creating new ones. “
Damn her and her prettiness.
Havik looks at this tiny little thing, yapping her mouth about collaborating, — as if that’d be possible, when she’s born for glory and he’s born for gore,—
And lips are plump and pretty. Far better for more beneficial subjects than spewing equalist rhetoric. His fingers jab into her cheeks. she’s the softest thing he ever touched.
“We should put that pretty mouth to better use , princess”
—
ITS GIVING HAN AND LEIA
the first time they meet havik cannot CANNOT stop looking at her lips. They’re so pretty. He’d stain the symbol of his scars if he regenerated just to kiss her, but, she makes bad temptations worth it
Havik feels unworthy of being around her. not because she’s a royal, a good princess, but because she’s a good person. God help you if you speak ill of her around this man.
Same goes for Kitana. If you’re a spoiled princess she’s forced to socialize with, and you DARE share your unwanted opinion about her consort’s appearance, you practically volunteer for a beating
Listen. the man is 6’4, built like a brick house, has arms you can snap wood on. HAVIK CAN PULL AND IDC
Havik thinking Kitana won’t want to be seen with him in public, — it’s one thing to make her cry and beg and whine on her sheets. The streets are an entirely different arena— but she always grabs his hand and holds to it
Kitana blushing every time someone else calls her princess >>> she can’t hear this title without haviks rough, raspy voice in her ear and big hands leaving bruises all over her skin
She always wants to kiss him and he always pulls away. “You’d hate it.”
“No, I won’t.”
“Yes, you will.”
“Don’t command my feelings.”
havik eventually relented and leans down so she can see for herself. Kitana kisses him once,— kisses what? He has nothing. The most he can do stick his tongue out and make her whimper.
He expects her to pull away, but Kitana stiffens. He knew it. He —
Kitana jumping on him eagerly a moment later, so much so that he’s doubled over
Kitana walks a little weird in a council meeting and Havik CANNOT escape Sindel’s stare
Dare I say. Fighting turns to fucking
YOUR HONOR. Them
