Kitchen Witchery
Roast Tomato & Capsicum Soup
*Originally cultivated by the Aztecs and Incas back in 700AD
*Tomatoes have long been linked to magic, due to being part of the Deadly Nightshade family. As Deadly Nightshade could cause hallucinations – and death – people associated it with witches.
*A tomato on your mantlepiece was reputed to protect your home. Tomatoes were also used in spells to bring prosperity, as well as love.
*German folklore claimed witches conjured werewolves – leading to the name, ‘wolf peach’for the tomato. It was believed you could drink a potion of nightshade to become a werewolf.

The kitchen witch is finished!! This was a big illustration and it took quite a bit of effort but it was for my mom who is the best <3 I can't wait to see what it looks like when it's framed!! Anyway I don't often do backgrounds but this one turned out nice! There's a lot of cute little details I got to push in there and I think it all came together in a really cute way! - - - - - #art #artist #artistsoninstagram #artistsonig #digitalart #digitalartist #cute #illustration #illustrator #witch #fantasy #magic #kitchenwitch #aesthetic #pastel #kitchwitch #pink #rustic #original #Originalcharacter #csp #clipstudiopaint https://www.instagram.com/p/B2svobThDaW/?igshid=1junzrq49wy4d

Depression and the Craft
I’ve suffered from depression since I hit puberty. Nothing really seemed to help and no one seemed to believe me.
Now as an adult I find I have episodes now and again and since I’ve found the craft I feel like I have the tools to help myself.
Disclaimer: This remedy I will be listing below is not a replacement for any medications that can be prescribed.
So First off..... TAROT - Finding out the source of the problem is definetly important for getting rid of it The tarot spread: 1. The source 2. The antidote 3. Outcome + for this you can either use runes or tarot. I used tarot cardsfor this when I did it.
Second.... CRYSTALS - Tourmalated Quartz helps with grounding, protection, and taking negativity away. It has high vibrations and it aids in balancing the wearer. - Pink Botswana helps with comforting. It omforts those who are lonely, or grieving and gives strength to find solutions. - Golden Quartz bring happiness and increases confidence.
You can take these crystals and meditate with them and ground. But always remember if you ground too much it may cause tiredness and depression.
Third..... TEAS & OILS & INCENSE
Make yourself some tea I used
Bee pollen for happiness, love, and overcoming depression
Mugwort for getting rid of evil spirits
Ginger for drawing in new experiences and adventure
and a bas tea (black tea, green tea, or an herbal tea)
Make yourself and oil
Peace oil
3 drops ylang ylang- balances mind and body
3 drops lavender- Balance/caling/cleansing
2 drops chamomile- Peace/love/tranquility
Incense
Clove- banishing
Dragons Blood- Strength
Jasmine- Happiness and peace
Last>>>>>>
Go sit outside with your tea and do a reading for yourself then meditate for a bit with these crystals, maybe place them around your heart chakra. light your incense and you'll be ready to go.

Usage
I originally made this for use in a Lemon Bars recipe that I’ll be making later today, inspired by @kitchwitch‘s Litha/Summer Solstice Lemon Lavender Bars technique of drawing the sigil on the crust before adding the filling.
If used on food (preferably with some sort of citrus or sour ingredient in it):
For anything with crusts, draw the sigil on the crust before baking it or on the filling before that is baked.
For batter that is to be baked, draw on the batter once it is in the baking pan but before you bake it.
For dough recipes, draw the sigil in the oiled bowl where the dough will rise.
Additionally, one could also etch the sigil after it is baked or arrange toppings on top of the baked good, making it more visible.
For non-baked recipes that do not fall under the above, stirring in the general directions of the sigil (two circles clockwise, then folding from upper left to bottom right three times, then folding from bottom left to upper right four times) will do.
Other uses:
Draw the sigil on the bottom or the face of a perfume/diluted essential oil spray bottle.
Draw the sigil on your face with foundation before blending it into the skin.
Other, more general sigil usage methods can be found here, here, and here.
