on the topic of mobility aids

both me and my fiance use mobility aids (I'm a cane user and dox uses a wheelchair) and having to navigate STOCKHOLMS SUBWAY WITH A WHEELCHAIR??

ACTUAL HELL SCAPE

we were going home from a concert and literally missed two trains because people could not be assed to make room for the wheelchair user, it was the middle of the night, IN STOCKHOLM

BUT

two very lovely ladies saw us struggling with the second one (they didn't get on either) and as soon as the third one arrived they created a human barrier holding everyone else back, so we could get on.

I have NEVER in my LIFE been so grateful to two strangers in my life.

did not speak a word to us. didnt even make eye contact. but those two ladies were so unbelievably kind and sweet and I love them

I see a lot of posts from writers being like "omg you guys need to REBLOG THINGS"

And like, yeah, that do be the whole point of tumblr

But I see some of these same people with stuff in their bios like "don't spam like" or "spam likes will be blocked" (on twt I see "don't bookmark!" a fair amount) and like... there's one of two things going on here

1. They're talking about bots? Do bots ever like posts? I thought they just followed and sent sketchy links. If it's about bots: I can't relate, and honestly, the post can end here because I've majorly misinterpreted what that's all about.

OR

2. They're talking about people who find an old/multi-chaptered/etc. fic and like each post as they go. Which... I dont really see the problem with?? Like... why is anyone upset that someone is reading their stuff and liking it??? There seems to be this strict dichotomy of likes vs reblogs but I'd honestly rather know that someone is going through the series and enjoying it than be sitting here like "oh, I guess nobody read/likes it." Does a like help me reach a wider audience? Not really, but it does send a little message to my brain mice that says "good job guys", and I think that's also nice.

Actually, that last sentence isn't necessarily true. I've noticed that, often, when someone is spam-liking something, it is often followed by a small bump in likes from other users. So, like, that spam liker may not have full-on reblogged the thing, but I can't help but think they sent the post to someone, which is also nice.

Idk. I just think any interactions are nice, even if it's not the fabled reblog with commentary. And I think it's rude and egotistical to outright say that you don't like those smaller interactions.

I don't usually feel the need to weigh in on things like this, but here's the deal:

If your friend, someone you like and trust and care about, asks you not to use certain language to refer to them, especially language that is, in a vacuum, gendered, and your first response is to tell them that you've decided it isn't gendered when you say it, then you are, in fact, an asshole.

bkdk is so fucking well developed oh my god. few relationships between any two fictional characters come close tbh

it’s not even just the romantic tropes like. childhood friends, complicated history, assumption of mutual disrespect, reveal of mutual respect since the beginning, shared dream for the future, narrative foils for that dream (save to win/win to save), slow repairing relationship, lasting impact from complicated history, still only being highly emotional around/at each other, knowing each other best out of everyone to the point of being the only one to know what to be concerned about, each other’s closest person, saving each other, actions proving positive development explicitly based on the other’s behaviour, nicknames, the intimacy and symbolism of keeping kacchan and deku becoming izuku, each being their own person but also at their core a part of each other…

I could go on forever tbh but their gradual development individually and how the entire time that was intricately tied to who they are to each other was (and is) just. incredible

Ooooooo we’re gonna play as a Casa girl which is exciting buuuutttt

I hope there’s some improvement this season I think fusebox has definitely been lacking imo these past few season I have not finished them

Not 5 and not 6 and I held on and finished 4 by a thread *has musical episode war flashback*

I have liked 6 more than 5 and 4 can’t even be compared with the two it was a little dodgy at times but a good season again imo

Where I think 5&6 have both lacked is in the having the player feel motivated to continue at least for me and I wonder if any of you guys have felt like that

I mean playing as s5 mc was terrible

And for 6 I kinda lost interest in all the lis towards the end even tho I started super excited about them and different routes and I liked the sister twist and then they took it way to far

In some defense I just started my masters program so I’ve been too busy to keep up with these last few chapters that maybe I would have if I wasn’t starting school

But I’ve seen the post everyone has made about these last few chapters and I have no desire to play them

So anyway excited to see where being a Casa girl goes and here’s to hoping I finish a season
