25. Name a (or many) fictional characters from TV, movies, books that inspire your character or remind you of them?

I’ve actually been thinking about this a lot ever since the Rowan and Reina inspiration posts from a while back. And, while Adrian isn’t really “inspired” from any characters that I can identify, there are definitely characters who remind me of him. The first is Klaus Kargreeves from The Umbrella Academy. He has Adrian’s general energy and his drug problems. And there’s also a level of gender fluidity in his clothing that Adrian relates too on top of the kinda of nonchalant attitude through which he views his own sexuality. Plus, Adrian can hardcore relate to always fucking things up. I

f he were a Sons of Anarchy character he’d probably be some combination of Wendy or Lyla. Wendy because I love her and she’s kind of obvious. Lyla because she’s an Old Lady who developed a weird kind of loyalty to the club that took care of her and that is something I would like to explore more with Adrian. 

And finally, I was recently reminded that Mercutio from Romeo + Juliet (1996) exists because I’ve been watching this movie with my students for the last few weeks. He is a cross-dresser with kind of an intense manic energy that Adrian can sometimes have that shows itself in senseless outrage or violence against himself. He is also someone who isn’t on either side of the war between the two houses, but has an intense loyalty to the Montagues because of the love (which is not so subtly coded as queer, romantic love) he has for Romeo. At least, until it gets him killed.

24. Is your character able to forgive and forget or do they hold grudges?

2. What traits or talents does your character have that would make them a good/bad member of an MC?

Adrian would be a bad member of any MC and would never make it past his prospect stage. First and foremost, he is an addict in a way that consumes nearly every part of him and that would definitely make him someone that the club could never trust completely. He also has a loyalty that only extends to certain people and given a choice between a member who doesn’t matter as much to him and Ryder or Izzy, he’d choose Ryder and Izzy no matter what every time even if it put more people at risk. He also just doesn’t have the stomach for the kind of violence that the club perpetrates. He’s no stranger to provoking a fight and getting into a bar brawl. But he’s also never held a gun in his life.

10. Was your character happy, sad, relieved, mad, etc. at Kane’s death? Why?
