FRIENDS TO LOVERS — [KNB]
Tumblr media
characters: aomine daiki, midorima shintarou, hanamiya makoto content: gn! reader, reader has implied tieable hair in midorima’s, toxicity (it’s hanamiya, no one is surprised) notes: scenarios inspired by prompt list here
Tumblr media
aomine daiki ✶
aomine yawns again as he reclines against your pillows, sitting up only to peer at you. you’re working on homework that’s due in a couple of days, headphones covering your ears. you promised that you’ll order in food and play super smash bros with him when you finished, but it’s nearing eight and you’re still hunched over a problem set.
aomine groans loudly, “are you even close to being done?”
you move one headphone cup off. “i would be closer if you didn’t interrupt me every ten minutes.”
“i didn’t ask to hang out just to sit around.”
you roll your eyes. “you can go if you want, daiki.”
he sits up fully now, moving to the edge of your bed. “why’re you even doing this? s’not due ‘til friday.”
“some of us want to be good students.” you slide your headphones back on and turn back to scribbling out complicated equations on paper.
a couple of minutes pass again and instead of asking you anything, aomine stands up and shuffles behind you, reaching around and snatching the paper from underneath you. “hey!” you protest, shooting up from your seat and tearing off your headphones. “give it back, daiki.”
“no, you said you’d be done, like, two hours ago.”
“i swear i’m almost done!” you make a lunge for it and aomine just holds it above his head, his long arm adding to his already-massive height.
“no.” he smirks at the way your eyes furrow and your cheeks puff out. your head tilts to the left, and he knows that you’re thinking. he’s sure you’re going to try and jump of it again, so as a show, he stretches up further, the hem of his shirt lifting slightly. he swears he catches your eyes flickering down and something in his body sings a song of triumph and satisfaction at the motion. he can’t say why.
what you do next though is nothing that he expects. you stand on your toes, rest your hands delicately on his shoulders, and gaze up at him through your lashes. he startles; there’s something so… heated about your expression, about those half-lidded eyes.
“daiki,” you say softly. it’s almost hypnotic, the way you say his name, and he’s watching you with one raised eyebrow. the tips of his ears feel like they’re on fire.
he doesn’t even realize what he’s doing as his arm lowers, heading for the dip of your waist. he only snaps out of it at your victorious cry. “ha!” you take advantage of his still half-dazed state and push him firmly out of your bedroom door, closing it. the lock clicks into place and he hears you call on the other side, “one more problem, daiki, i promise. be a dear and set up smash in the living room?”
he walks down your hall automatically, the fire-like feeling spreading to his neck.
Tumblr media
midorima shintarou ✶
takao holds up a porcelain statue of a cat. “what about this?’
“takao, what about that screams ‘midorima shintarou?’”
takao shrugs. “i don’t know, maybe it’ll be december 25th’s lucky item. does oha asa put out horoscopes ahead of time?”
“no, that’s why he listens every morning when it airs,” you reply, setting down a teapot from a bigger set. you thank the tired-looking cashier, who just waves drowsily as you two exit the shop.
the two of you have been shopping all day for midorima’s christmas present, wandering all over japan and into various tchotchke stores to look. he’s a notoriously hard person to please, especially with gifts, and neither of you want a repeat of the ‘grey’s anatomy incident’ where four people got midorima the same book last holiday season when he announced his intention to go to medical school. nor do any of you want to get that look from him that struggles to look somewhat grateful while being very, very obviously displeased.
“we’ve been walking all day!” takao whines, clutching his stomach as it lets out an ungodly rumble. you check your watch; you two have been out for at least four hours. you point at a small diner boasting american food. “would you be okay with that?”
“i’d eat you right now if you’d let me.”
you snort, “hard pass. come on.”
the hostess sits you two at a booth and you shrug off your heavy winter coats. you pick up a menu and glance over it, but when you go to ask takao what he’ll be getting and if he wants to split a large order of assorted fries with you, you see he’s not looking at the menu.
you definitely do not like the way takao is eying you right now. “what?” you ask defensively, hands flying to the top of your head to try and pet down at hair you presume has been ruined by your excursion. “do i look bad or something?”
“is that shin-chan’s sweater?”
fuck. you had forgotten about pulling on one of the sweaters midorima left at your house the last time you studied together. it’s insanely soft — a mix of gray wool and cashmere — not to mention extremely cozy and warm. you tried to return it to midorima before but he just pushed his glasses up the bridge of his nose and huffed, “wear it until you get proper sweaters. no, sweatshirts don’t count.”
you internally groan. you don’t need takao on your ass again about whether or not you’re sure you and midorima aren’t dating or if you like him like that. honestly, the only reason you haven’t given him a certain yes or no is because… you don’t really know yourself.
you don’t have proper time to answer before the bell to the restaurant chimes and you see very recognizable green hair. of all the time and places he has to show up. (well, he did text you this morning that your zodiac sign was the least lucky and to wear a blue watch in order to improve your fortune; you should’ve found the watch.)
“oh! shin-chan!” takao waves him over, giving you a sly look. “we were just talking about—” takao’s stupid hawk-eyes zero in on midorima’s wrist as he tugs off his gloves. he looks way too please with himself as he asks, “shin-chan, is that they’re hair tie?”
Tumblr media
hanamiya makoto ✶
hanamiya steps out of the locker room shower, cracking his knuckles as he makes his way to his locker to dry off and change. he rolls his shoulders, toweling off his hair as he changes back into his school uniform. yamazaki and hara a prattling away, snickering under their breaths about the injuries they inflicted: sprained ankle, a hairline fracture, a minor concussion.
hanamiya doesn’t even turn around as he growls, “can you two shut up?”
to just bug him more, hara pops his gum. loudly. “who pissed in your cereal, captain?”
furihara drones, “you were sloppier today. almost got fouled by the ref.”
hanamiya doesn’t reply, yanking the knot of his tie down furiously. “fuck off.”
hara lets out a low whistle and seto asks, “does this have to do with your little friend? they got a boyfriend, right?”
hanamiya lets out a long breath through his nose and he spins around to face his teammate. “for now,” he says, slamming his locker shut.
“you got a plan, captain?” asks yamazaki as he digs through his duffel bag.
“when do i not?”
———
you greet hanamiya’s mother with a thin smile when she opens the door. her face lights up when she sees you and she pulls you into a warm hug, telling you that hanamiya’s in his bedroom and that you could go right up.
you wonder if she can see the glossy film to your eyes or if she was polite enough not to comment on it.
hanamiya’s sitting at his desk, head propped up on his knuckle. he languidly flips through pages but you know he’s not really reading the material. he’ll get away with it too and get an a anyways, the bastard. he glances at you. “you look like shit.”
usually, you could banter with him. it’s why your friendship works; you have a thicker skin than most and you give just as good as you take, especially when it comes to hanamiya’s sneering, half-joking insults. normally, you would have replied with something like “still better than you,” but instead, your frayed nerves snap and you feels the hot tears start rolling down your cheeks.
hanamiya’s simpering expression sobers up and he sighs heavily, ushering you to sit on the bed. “why’re you crying?”
you sniffle and tell him that the guy you’ve been seeing from your literature class broke up with you. just out of the blue told you that you two wanted different things and you were going to colleges in different areas and that wouldn’t work and he was sorry and… that’s all you gleaned because his words were so rushed as he scurried off as fast as he could.
hanamiya’s brow furrows sympathetically and he draws you into a hug, saying, i told you i didn’t like that guy. fuck him.”
you sink into his arms. “yeah,” you mutter, “fuck him.”
as you relax against him, hanamiya can’t help but smirk to himself in satisfaction. someone who runs off after a little confrontation doesn’t deserve anything from you.

Hi! Idk if your request is opened or not but if it is, I'd like to request a headcanon for Knb if that's alright?
My request is : How would GOM + Kagami react when their s/o walk in on them taking a shower naked and just casually invite themselves taking a shower with the boys?
❦ SHOWER TIME
cw: this is fluff, but language and nudity [ALL CHARACTERS ARE AGED UP]
Tumblr media
—kuroko
in a strange turn of events, you end up startling your boyfriend. the bathroom door is slightly open, the sound of running water and slight humming floats through the apartment. you decide that you should probably get clean too as you step into the steamy room. tetsuya doesn’t hear you undressing, or stepping into the shower. it’s only when your cold hands wrap around his waist that he shrieks and spins around—nearly slipping—eyes wide and startled for a split second until he realizes it’s you. then his expression falls into his signature calm smile.
“hi, sweetheart.”
Tumblr media
—kagami
you go in the bathroom to pee, and as soon as you make a noise, taiga peers around the curtain with a judgemental look.
“what are you doing?” he asks, shampoo comically in his hair.
you blink. “using the bathroom.”
he sends you a stink eye before closing the curtains and going back to what he was doing. you know he likes his alone time in the shower, but the apartment only had one bathroom, and you like to annoy him (with love). so when you strip down and attempt to join him in the shower you need to wrestle the curtain away from him because he’s using it to cover himself lol.
Tumblr media
—murasakibara
he likes when you sit in the bathroom while he showers. you can tell him about your day and he can poke his head out for you to feed him a little snack. it’s not often that you shower with him because the logistics of the shower head and the height difference was always a hassle. until you renovated your shower to a ceiling head, now when he’s finished his himemaru, you can just join him under the water and he can pull you close and prevent you from moving cause “you’re so cute and cuddly, y/n-chin.”
and you stay like that until your body feels like two different temperatures.
Tumblr media
—aomine
you enter the bathroom.
“fuck, daiki, it stinks in here.”
“i had to shit, you’re the one that interrupted my shower.”
despite that, you strip down and pull the curtain dramatically to announce that you intend to join him. and this motherfucker is under the water, head tilted back to rinse out his shampoo, eyes looking down at you with a smirk as he says, “just can’t get enough of me, huh?”
so turn the water to cold so he shrieks :)
bonus fem!reader: soapy tits are his weakness. if you ever want anything from him, hop in the shower and ask lol his eyes don’t leave your chest but he’s nodding along to whatever you’re saying. you could ask for a yacht and he’d agree
Tumblr media
—kise
doesn’t want to shower without you tbh. he’s usually inviting you to join him, but not in a sexual way. he’s one of those people who blasts music while in the bathroom and likes to perform concerts, so he needs his back up singer. he’ll shampoo his hair into spikes and start screaming punk, it’s your responsibility to play air guitar and ad lib. on the rare occasions that he’s showering by himself and you decide to join him halfway through, his smile is wide, and his introduction goes, “ladies and gentlemen, my backup guitarists!”
Tumblr media
—akashi
literally love him. if you open the bathroom door while he’s showering he assumes something is wrong.
“darling? are you alright?” his soft voice just makes you melt, but you assure him that you just want to join him. and he is delighted! in fact, he proposes a bath after you two wash up. he loves having you between his legs, back against his chest while you’re surrounded by bubbles. he’s one of those people that loves non sexual intimacy, so if you turn around and give him a bubble beard, he’ll just watch you with hearts in his eyes.
Tumblr media
—midorima
locks the door so you can’t get in. if you’re persistent—knocking, calling his name, etc.—he’ll step out of the shower, towel around his waist, and open the door with an annoyed scowl. you just smile sweetly and hop under the running water. he’s muttering under his breathe at how much of a handful you are, but he’s washing your body carefully and making sure soap doesn’t get in your eyes <3

Kuroko’s Basketball boys x Pregnant Reader
These are head canons on how Aomine, Kagami, and Kise would be during your pregnancy.
Aomine
He’s not shocked at all. He claims that he knew you would be pregnant after one night in particular.
He doesn’t seem like he would want a baby, but behind closed doors you could tell how excited he was. His love for you and the baby did not stop his complaints whenever you asked him for weird cravings at night. Despite all of his complaints he would make sure you had everything you needed. No matter how difficult it is to get it. He even asks Murasakibara to help find the rare foods.
He starts making competitions with everyone else about whose kid would be better at basketball. Kagami was his main target.
“My baby’s going to kick your kids ass on the court.”
“Oh yeah, well see about that, Aomine.”
Kagami
He very shocked. You two hadn’t touched the topic of kids yet. That didn’t stop his excitement though. As soon as you told him he grabbed you and spun you around, reassuring you that he was ecstatic about the baby.
The news couldn’t have come at a more perfect time. Kagami’s basketball was taking off, leaving zero concerns about money. He was concerned about you though. He wouldn’t be able to stay with you, especially when his team went on tournaments. You had to convince him that you would be ok so he would go to his games.
He couldn’t wait to share the news with everyone either. Alex was one of the first people to find out about your pregnancy. She even volunteered to watch over you while Kagami was away. Kagami was worried about you to say the least
Remember when I said Aomine would challenge everyone else’s kid? Yeah, well Kagami made a bet with Aomine that his baby would win a basketball game. He didn’t;t tell you about his little bet either you found out about it years later.
He was outside teaching your son different moves to use and out of nowhere he says, “You can keep all the money if you win this game.”
You gave him an earful about it later and all he had to said was, “It was a good motivator for him.” You couldn’t deny it either. Your son did everything he could to make sure he beat Aomine’s daughter during that game.
And yes Aomine’s pride was hurt when his baby girl lost, but he didn’t hold it against her. She was his sweet little girl after all.
Kise
Literally will not shut up about it. He tells anyone and everyone he can, even when your standing next to him obviously pregnant. As in added bonus he walks around with a picture of your ultrasound in his wallet, showing it off at every opportunity. He just can’t stop himself and you don’t have the heart to stop him either. You both waited so long for this baby.
Anytime your around a large group of people, Kise goes into security mode. He won’t leave your side for anything. You want to talk to your friends, he’s there with you. Getting a drink, he’s there too. The probability of you going anywhere without him is .0001% out of 100.
He will also become your personal servant. You could be in the nesting stage of your pregnancy, feeling the intense urge to clean, and he wouldn’t let you lift a finger. Dishes? Clean. Laundry. Done. When he can’t handle all of the chores he calls in his mom. She makes sure everything is in order before and while your in labor. Making sure that you brought your baby home to a clean house.
If you thought that Kise would stop talking about your child after birth, you would be dead wrong. A newborn picture of your baby in a pink onesie would replace the ultrasound that he carried. He was a proud father and he was going to let everyone know it.

Himuro Tatsuya, Hanamiya Makoto, and Aomine Daiki Dating Headcannons
➽───────────────❥➽───────────────❥
Hello, there Anon. This is for the Dating Headcannons after you ask the Jealous Headcannons! I hope you like the final result and I'm sorry if there might be some OOC characters.
Gender: Neutral Warning: None except a few profanities
➽───────────────❥➽───────────────❥
Himuro Tatsuya - Yōsen Academy High School
Tumblr media
Can be affectionate but not too much in public. He prefers holding your hand or just a simple kiss on the forehead but once you two are back. He would love to give you a cuddle and give you tiny pecks.
He also likes a human version of a backpack, you forget to bring something? He already has the stuff inside of the pocket of his pants. (For example, you forgot to bring your lotion? It's already in his pocket and ready to give it to you).
A gentleman, he does not believe in fifty-fifty. He would pay for the meals and the drinks if you two decide to go to the restaurant or to the cafe together.
Very caring, if you are sick or injured. He already prepared the bandages and the antiseptic to clean your wounds or a painkiller or any other medicine if you are sick that day.
Tons of woman are going to be jealous of you and would be glaring dagger back at you because you have a hot boyfriend who cares about you and they wishes that they have a boyfriend like him.
A good listener, he would listen to you every rent even if you are making fun of someone or even if he doesn't really understand the topic (but he tries to give the best answer).
(Imma say this-) Senpai in the street but hentai in the sheet. His innocent looks always fool you because he acts like he hasn't just said something that made you red and would put on an innocent smile when someone is speaking to him.
Rarely gets mad at you because he knows he's the type who's angry, he would say hurtful things so it's better to give some space for him when he is in a bad mood.
Always had his poker face on so it was going to be hard to decipher his emotion so you had to learn. When he's angry, he usually has a more stern tone but when he is normal, he would use a softer tone around you.

On a sunny afternoon, the sun goes down after it is in the highest spot in the sky and burns everyone with its heat. In the hall of the Yōsen school, a person with (H/C) hair colour with (H/L) hair length, (E/C) eye colour, and (S/C) skin colour standing near the locker of the school.
(Y/N) glances around as your eyes look for the certain prince charming. The two of you had been busy with all of the homework and the projects that were given by the lecturer and (Y/N) along with the prince charming had missed each other so much that they decided to hang out after his basketball practice.
Sighing in boredom, (Y/N)'s eyes would keep shifting between the hallway of the school and then the screen on her/his/their phone. "(Y/N)-san?" You hear a familiar sound calling your name. Glancing up, the stunning gave an apologetic smile to you for making you wait. "Were you waiting for me? I'm really sorry for making you wait. Coach Masako told us to clean up after our practice," Himuto said. "It's okay, at least you were just a little bit late. Not bailing out on our date," (Y/N) smiles and closes her/his/their eyes.
His fingers gently intertwined between your fingers and gently pulling you closer to him. Your cheeks change from the (S/C) and turn into a red hue, his little gesture is adorable. "I'm not sure if you had your lunch or not but if you have. I know a great place that sells tasty sweets," the shooting guard of Yōsen said. "Oh, don't worry. I already ate. Where are you going to bring me?" You ask. "It's a surprise," he places his finger on your lips, teasing you as he put on his innocent smile.

Just like a gentleman, the captain of Yōsen player pushes the glass door open to let you get inside. The ambience of the pastry shop was comforting, the floor was made out of Mahogany wood planks and the wall had a picture of a Victorian old city along with an old phonograph placed next to the cupboard that was full of beautiful decorated mugs.
(Y/N) is amazed by the sight of the pastry, its warm and inviting display creating a cozy atmosphere. Entranced by the delicious array before them, Himuro gently takes (Y/N)'s hands. "You should see the sweets this pastry has. I think they have your favourite dessert," Himuro told you. (Y/N) nods in agreement, captivated by the words of the pasty has your favourite dessert, and follows Himuro to the cashier.
At the cashier, (Y/N) gazes at the dessert menu, their/her/his eyes lighting up with joy upon finding the name of the treat you desires. Sensing (Y/N)'s excitement, Himuro glances at the cashier. "Excuse me, ma'am. I would like a plate of (Favorite Dessert) and pretzels. How much would it be?" Himuro asks the old woman in front of him. "Alright, that will be ¥858.00," The cashier confirms the couple.
Before (Y/N) could retrieve her/his/their wallet, Himuro swiftly took out his phone and activated the camera to scan the barcode for payment. A surprised (Y/N) watches as Himuro pays for the desserts, a gesture that catches them/him/her off guard.
You had intended to split the cost, willing to share the expense and not burden your boyfriend. "Himuro-san, it's okay. I can pay for myself," you told him, feeling a sense of guilt for not wanting to burden him with the entire expense. Himuro gazes at (Y/N) with a gentle smile, shaking his head as he reassures, "It's okay, (Y/N)-san. Besides, I asked you to hang out with me, so it is only fair that I pay for our date,"

Hanamiya Makoto
Tumblr media
Aren't affectionate unless he wants to brag you in front of his teammate. He wants to rub in everyone's faces that he has a hot S/O and the rest are still single.
A tease and also a sadist, he likes to degrade you and makes fun of you but he won't hurt you that bad since you are his S/O. Also, won't apologize unless he saw you cry and he would begrudgingly apologize for hurting you.
If you don't like Dark jokes and creepy jokes. I'm sorry but he won't be good for you because the only thing that can make him laugh genuinely and think it's funny are dark and creepy jokes.
Be careful how you act, he is observant so if you lie. He already knew that you were lying to him and he would investigate the truth without you knowing it.
Do you want him to be less asshole to you? The answer is simple, bribe him with dark chocolate (Not always working, this only works if you want him to teach you when you two study). He loves them.
Actually, if you know how to banter around and aren't sensitive. You would most likely see him actually joking around with you, he can be pretty funny but he only shows it to certain people.
It's canon that he likes idiotic s/o because he could manipulate them BUT that's how are you not gonna survive dating him. YOU HAVE TO outsmart him because he would purposely put you in a situation you do not want to.
Surprisingly, he's not all that mean to his S/O. Since you are his soft spot, he would be willing to share his chocolate with you. He has never let ANYONE touch his chocolate.
He likes to tease you in public. He would whisper lots of dirty things in your ear until you were red from embarrassment and then smile innocently before shrugging when someone asked why are you red.

It was not usually for Hanamiya to initiate outings, especially considering his usual busy schedule with basketball activities. However, two days ago, to (Y/N)'s surprise, Hanamiya unexpectedly asked you to go on a date through text messages instead of face-to-face.
Hanamiya's invitation to go out at six o'clock in the afternoon, right after the club activity, struck (Y/N) as strange. Knowing Hanamiya's usual demeanour and that he wasn't one to make spontaneous requests, (Y/N) couldn't help but feel that there might be some underlying plan or surprise involved. This could be a good thing or a bad thing for (Y/N).
This unusual request raised suspicions for (Y/N), but being Hanamiya's boyfriend/girlfriend/romantic partner. (Y/N) chose to dismiss any concerns. As (Y/N) got ready in their bedroom, carefully selected what would you wear later once you two met. It was quite cold outside so it would be a bad idea to wear something short or you would freeze to death.
Having chosen the perfect attire, (Y/N) lays the long-sleeve turtleneck sweater and the pants down on the bed, and hangs the jacket neatly on a hook. With everything in place, (Y/N) heads to the bathroom to take a refreshing shower, she/they/he could not wait for the upcoming date. The sound of running water fills the air as (Y/N) readies themselves for the evening ahead.
‿︵‿︵\ʕ •ᴥ•ʔ/︵‿︵‿Timeskip
Standing outside the cinema, (Y/N) anxiously waits, scanning the surroundings for the distinctive figure of the guy with bushy eyebrows. Glancing at the time on their phone, a twinge of concern arises, fearing that Hanamiya might bail on you.
Suddenly, a familiar male voice calls out (Y/N)'s name from a distance. Looking up, they/she/he spots Hanamiya strutting towards them, hands casually tucked into his pockets. A mixture of relief and curiosity washes over (Y/N) after knowing Hanamiya won't bail on the date. "Oh, you came...I thought you were not going to come," Hanamiya mutters to himself. "Let's go inside, I already booked the ticket and the seat online, we can just buy the popcorn," Hanamiya steps inside.
It would typically be a sweet gesture for a boyfriend to have already booked the cinema seats online, sparing both partners the hassle of waiting in line. However, considering Hanamiya's unpredictable nature, (Y/N) can't help but purse her/his/their lips together, silently cursing under her/his/their breath. "Hanamiya-san, what movie ticket did you buy for us?" you asked him.
The certain Kirisaki Daiichi captain just responds with a smirk across his face. "You'll find out soon," the male taunted you. With a subtle yet possessive gesture, he wraps his arm around your shoulder, pulling you closer to the scanning area which is next to the cashier. The red light from the computer reads the barcode on Hanamiya's phone and the sound of the paper getting printed out could be heard from the printing machine.
As the printing machine churns out the ticket, Hanamiya snatches it, and (Y/N) takes a glimpse, only for their/her/his eyes to widen in surprise. Having heard from friends that it's one of the scariest movies, a mix of shock and fear washes over (Y/N). "I hope you're not that scared, (Y/N)~" Hanamiya stuck his tongue out as you glances up at him, his playful tone adding a hint of mischief to the unexpected choice of movie.

Aomine Daiki
Tumblr media
A big tease and loved to annoy the hell out of you, he also loved to make you embarrassed either when he was using pick-up lines on you or when he was touching you either casually or sexually.
Arcade dates! Going to show off when you two play basketball games together and brags to you that he has a higher score than you and the reason why he is the 'ace'.
But if you don't like Arcade, he would love to just bring you around those Japanese festivals and try some street foods (and If you two get older. He would bring you to those extreme places like bungee jumping since he has enough money to travel).
No shame at all, if you can cook or bake delicious food. He would shamelessly steal it from you and if you try to take it back. He would raise his hands up so you could not reach them at all while smiling like a devil.
Have you ever wondered how it feels like to raise a cat as big as a human? Well, he's the perfect answer. He just acts like a damn cat because sometimes he doesn't want to be cuddled and then he would be all over you, demanding to be cuddled.
He acts as if he is a chill boyfriend but nope. he is protective of you, and he would glare at anyone who dares to touch you and if anyone is being creepy? THEY ARE GOING TO END UP LIKE HAIZAKI GOT PUNCHED BUT WORSE.
Caring but doesn't know how to show it so he acts like a damn Tsundere. For instance, if you are sick from overworking. He would buy those horrible ramen from the convenience store and call you an idiot for getting sick.
Kind of a terrible boyfriend (for the first time) because he would say insensitive things. Especially if you two fight, not only he is moody but he would say hurtful stuff, give you the silent treatment, and be very easily angered.
But also can be a cute boyfriend, he will always be proud of you. Even if it was a small achievement, he would even brag about it to his teammate (and Wakamatsu gonna scream 'SHUT UP!')

Aomine stands in front of another basketball player, blocking the rival team from getting close to Touou's basketball ring. In a swift move, Aomine executes as his hands slap the ball against the ball from the player's hand before sprinting towards the opposing team's basketball hoop.
As the Ace of the Touou basketball team floats in the air, he launches the ball into the air, and the satisfying swish resonates through the court as it smoothly glides through the hoop. The blaring sounds of the alarm signal the victory for Touou School.
Amidst the cheers and applause from the spectators celebrating Touou's victory, the ace player's attention remains fixated on a particular individual with (H/C) hair and (E/C) eyes. Aomine's gaze scans the crowd, hoping to catch (Y/N)'s reaction to his impressive play.
As his eyes lock onto (Y/N)'s form, a genuine sense of happiness lights up Aomine's expression. A triumphant smirk graces his face, knowing that he has left (Y/N) in awe of his skills on the court, and their admiration is the most rewarding response he could hope for as (Y/N)'s eyes gleamed in the light, shouting his name. "AOMINE!!! YOU DID IT!!!" she clapped her hands and cupped her mouth with the hands facing outwards
‿︵‿︵\ʕ •ᴥ•ʔ/︵‿︵‿Timeskip
After the intense game, (Y/N) hurriedly makes their/her/his way down from the bench and waits eagerly in the hallway. As the door swings open, revealing Aomine in his uniform, having discarded the sweaty jersey, (Y/N)'s face lights up. Without hesitation, (Y/N) joyfully leaps into Aomine's arms, exclaiming, "I'm proud of you!!"
Aomine, caught off guard by the sudden embrace, can't help but return the sentiment with his arms wrapped around your waist before you can hit the floor and hold you in the air. "Woah there tiger, don't just go jumping on me," He held (Y/N) closer, his smirk deepened as he held you closer.
Aomine's teasing prompts a faint blush on (Y/N)'s cheeks, though they/she/he quickly rolls their/her/his eyes in response. With a touch of sass, (Y/N) retorts, "You wish," before smoothly getting down from his arms. Eager to shift the focus to celebrating the victory, (Y/N) enthusiastically suggests, "Let's go out somewhere to celebrate your victory." "Ehh, I don't really care about this stuff. Maybe we can go maji burger?"Aomine suggests, expressing his craving for a burger.
(Y/N) looks at him with a hint of unamusement. "Really? You want fast food?" you remark, raising an eyebrow. Aomine sighs, contemplating for a moment, before a smirk graces his face. "Alright, I know a place where we can eat some Okonomiyaki. How about that?" mentioning there's an okonomiyaki place near the gymnasium and it's quite popular.
"Sure, we can eat okonomiyaki together," you agree, a smile playing on your lips as Aomine takes one of your hands. Together, the two of you walk away, hand in hand, ready to go to celebrate his victory. Despite it was not a fancy place, it would still leave a memory of the two of you having a simple date.

Hi! I'm so glad to see your open askbox! I'd like to request a headcanon for KnB! How would GOM + Kagami react when their s/o walk in on them taking a shower naked and just casually invite themselves taking a shower with the boys? Thank you for taking my request and I hope you have a great week!
GoM + Kagami - s/o shower time
Akashi
Akashi sighed as the warm water hit his body. His shoulder relaxing in one of the few moments he had to himself. He wanted to get a quick shower before he went to go meet his father for dinner. Their monthly ritual now that he had moved out of the house.
He had just turned around to rinse his back went he heard one of the glass double doors open and [Y/N] standing there. “Mind if I join you?”
They must have known that he was tense about meeting his father; not hard to guess as he usually was. They had tried to be cheerful when he got home. Tried to be supportive. Tried to give him some space. Finally, when none of that seemed to work, they seemed to be going with base physical pleasure as a distraction.
“Of course. You’re always welcome my love.”
They smile and step into the double headed shower with Akashi. Then quickly into his arms. He was certainly more relaxed than usual meeting his father today. Maybe a ‘hot shower’ was called for every month now.
Aomine
‘Shit!’ Aomine cursed to himself as he jumped into his cold shower and instantly started soaping down.
Why did he always have to play Russian roulette with his alarm? He always had to push it too close for those extra few minutes and then here they were. Late. Too late to even let his shower heat up and try to keep the soap out of his eyes.
“Mind if I join you?”
Aomine looked up and over his shoulder to his s/o standing there. Nothing on but their smile. His morning wood that was coming down from the cold shower up to full mast again.
“Sure.” He replied with an equal grin before he pulled them into the shower. Hell he was already late. No point in rushing now.
Kise
Kise hummed to the music still playing in his head from the photoshoot. Still buzzing from all the energy.
It was different than when he played basketball, but still got him hyped. Everyone running around. The intensity to get the perfect shot. Quick changes for costumes. It was all a blur sometimes, but he must have done a good job because the photo director thanked him for his hard work.
He had just gotten home and wanted to take a quick shower before bed. Making sure to get the last of the makeup and hair products off before he slipped into clean sheets.
He was just about to step in when he heard the door open and turned around. “Mind if I join?” [Y/N] asked with a cheeky grin. Apparently having waited up for him, unlike he imagined.
“Sure!” Kise replied enthusiastically before moving aside to let them in first. “I missed you.” He told them once they were both under the water. Kissing them sweetly as rivulets trickled down their bodies.
Kuroko
It was usually pretty easy for Kuroko to sneak out of the bed and into the shower. Given that his presence was low, as long as he and s/o weren’t actively spooning or snuggled up Kuroko could slip out without waking them.
He had just finished up showering when he heard the door open and [Y/N] ask, “mind if I join you?” just as he was turning off the water.
They seemed a little crestfallen that they had missed their chance, so Kuroko reached behind him and turned the water back on. “I think I missed a spot. Wanna help me get it?”
Midorima
5:15 – wake up. morning ablutions.
5:45 – jog
6:30 – rehydrate and start coffee for the morning
6:45 - shower
Midorima had a very set way he liked to get ready for the morning. Following a routine led to increased performance through practice. A mentality he had always had about nearly all aspects of his life.
He was just about to wash his hair, at precisely 6:50 like usual, when he heard the bathroom door open. He knew it had to be [Y/N]. No one else was in the apartment. It wasn’t unheard of that they would be up at this time and was not usually a disturbance to his schedule, so it didn’t bother him. Usually.
“Mind if I join you?”
Midorima wiped around when he heard their voice in the shower. Naked, he assumed. He didn’t have his glasses on so it was hard to see. But the implication was quite clear.
“I uh…I have to get breakfast started.”
His logic didn’t seem to stop them, however, as they still invited themselves into his shower with some pretense about efficiency and better use of time, and all that. He didn’t argue, but it was certainly a disruption to his schedule.
Murasakibara
The alarm by his bed chirped cheerfully to the sound of his current favorite anime, before Murasakibara’s fist came down and pounded it into silence.
He wasn’t a morning person. He was barely a daytime at all kind of person. Kuro-chin had suggested using a song that sparked happy memories to wake up to as a way to be more excited about getting up, but, of course, it had failed.
Sitting up with a big, bear of a yawn, Murasakibara got out of bed and shuffled to the bathroom to get ready. He brushed his teeth while he waited for the shower to heat up, and debated about going back to bed. Stepping into the shower he stood under the water motionless for a while before he heard the curtain pull back.
“Mind if I join you?”
His normal, dull expression perked up as he saw [Y/N]-chin standing there. Suddenly not so sleepy anymore. “Sure.” Murasakibara tried to move and make space for them with his large frame. Hard to manage but they made it work.
This was a much better way to wake up in the morning. He’d have to tell Kuro-chin that this was a much better plan than stupid alarms.
+Kagami
“I’m gonna take a shower.” Kagami announced as he and s/o finished up their movie for the night and prepared for bed.
He’d always taken a shower before bed, even before coming to Japan. It was hit or miss in the states on if people did or didn’t, and maybe it was his parents Japanese background that led to their custom in their house, but he always did it. It just made sense to him. Getting all the germs & dirt of the day off. Kagami was sort of a neat freak on the inside, cultivated from having to keep his own place clean for years.
Halfway through his shower, Kagami looked up when he heard the door open. Thinking he would see [Y/N] in their pjs getting ready to brush their teeth for bed through the glass, but instead seeing them naked.
“Mind if I join you?”
Kagami could feel his face flush from more than just the hot water. His hands instinctively moving to cover himself, despite the half frosted modest glass already in place. Feeling very exposed. “I uh…I…”
[Y/N] seemed to take his hesitation as a time to be bold and opened the door. They had been together for a while, and had been intimate, just not in the shower. It was a secret fantasy that everyone had, that his mind was having trouble processing on was actually about to come true.
“Are you sure this is safe? I don’t want you to slip and crack your head open.”

In the aftermath of Seirin's victory at the Winter Cup finals, the basketball court buzzed with electric energy. The crowd erupted into cheers, players embraced in jubilation, and the air was thick with the sweet scent of success. Amidst the celebration, you, the team manager, found yourself caught up in the euphoria, standing at the center of it all.
Kuroko and Kagami, the dynamic duo who had spearheaded Seirin's triumph, were beaming with pride and exhilaration. Their radiant smiles mirrored the joyous atmosphere, infectious and impossible to resist. You couldn't help but join in, a surge of elation filling your heart as you hugged them tightly.
"We did it! We actually did it!" you exclaimed, unable to contain your excitement. "All our hard work paid off!"
Kuroko, ever composed, nodded with a small smile. "Yes, we gave it our all, and it paid off in the end."
Kagami, his adrenaline still coursing through his veins, laughed boisterously. "Hell yeah! We're the champions!"
Amidst the cheers and laughter, the bond between the three of you grew stronger. As the victory sank in, you realized just how much this team meant to you. They were more than just teammates; they were your friends and family. Together, you had overcome countless challenges and now stood at the pinnacle of high school basketball.
The court became a stage for shared stories, memories, and dreams. The euphoria of the moment seeped into every word, every smile, and every embrace. This was a time to savor the taste of victory and to revel in the camaraderie that had brought you all together.
Little did you know, this was only the beginning of a new chapter. The Winter Cup victory had opened doors to new challenges, new adventures, and perhaps even unexpected feelings.
As the celebration roared on, your eyes were drawn to Akashi Seijuro, standing alone in the midst of the jubilant chaos. His usually confident demeanor was replaced with an unfamiliar expression of shock and disbelief. It was evident that losing was a foreign concept to him, and the weight of defeat hung heavily on his shoulders.
Excusing yourself from the group, you made your way towards Akashi, curiosity burning in your chest. Kagami and Kuroko exchanged puzzled glances, unable to comprehend your sudden interest in someone you had previously shown distaste for. Kuroko, however, sensing the hidden emotions within you, offered a nod of encouragement, silently conveying his support.
Approaching Akashi, you could see the surprise flicker in his eyes as he noticed your presence. He seemed taken aback by your approach, not expecting anyone to reach out to him in this vulnerable moment.
"Congratulations on a well-fought match, Akashi," you said, offering a gentle smile.
Akashi's eyes met yours, searching for any hint of mockery or ill intent. Instead, he found sincerity and understanding, something he didn't anticipate. "Thank you," he replied, his voice carrying a mix of disbelief and resignation.
"I know this might be hard for you," you continued, your voice filled with empathy. "You've always been accustomed to winning. But it's in these moments of defeat that we grow the most."
Akashi's guard slowly lowered, realizing that you were not there to belittle him but rather to offer solace. "It's a bitter pill to swallow," he admitted, his voice tinged with a hint of vulnerability.
You nodded in understanding. "Sometimes, the greatest lessons come from our losses. It's an opportunity to reflect, to reassess our strengths and weaknesses, and to come back even stronger."
A moment of silence enveloped the two of you as the weight of the conversation sank in. It was a rare connection, borne out of unexpected circumstances, where walls were momentarily lowered, allowing for a genuine exchange.
Akashi's voice broke the silence. "You're right. This loss... it will serve as a reminder to keep pushing forward and to strive for greatness."
A soft smile played on your lips as you gazed at him. "After watching you play today and even during this whole tournament, I have no doubt you can bounce back."
Akashi's eyes met yours, a glimmer of gratitude shining through. "Thank you," he whispered, his voice barely audible.
As your conversation neared its end, you couldn't help but notice Akashi's captivating presence. The way his eyes held a depth that drew you in and the subtle curve of his lips that seemed to carry untold stories. In that moment, a realization washed over you, causing a soft blush to creep onto your cheeks.
The conversation concluded with an awkward silence settling between you. On the sidelines, Kagami and Kuroko discreetly observed, their curiosity piqued by the unexpected interaction. They exchanged glances, silently speculating on the nature of your conversation with Akashi.
The rest of the Seirin basketball team watched in awe; a mixture of surprise and curiosity danced in their eyes. They had witnessed the birth of an unlikely bond between their team manager and the enigmatic captain of the Generation of Miracles, unaware of the journey that awaited them both.
As the awkward silence lingered, you mustered up the courage to look at Akashi, your heart pounding in your chest. Biting your lip nervously, you felt a mix of nervousness and eagerness. Just as Akashi was about to excuse himself, you couldn't resist but call out to him again, your voice laced with a coy and flirty tone.
"Hey, Akashi," you said, your eyes locked with his. "I don't know when you're going to visit Tokyo again, but if you happen to drop by, maybe you should let me know. We could hang out or something. If you're free, of course."
Akashi's eyes widened in surprise, caught off guard by your boldness. However, his shock gradually dissipated, and a charming aura replaced his initial bashfulness. A dashing smile adorned his face as he gladly accepted your offer.
"I would be delighted," he replied, his voice carrying a hint of amusement. "Perhaps you could share your number, and we can make the necessary arrangements."
Your heart skipped a beat as Akashi asked for your number. With a shy smile, you exchanged contact information, the anticipation growing between you.
"I must admit," Akashi began, a playful glint in his eyes, "losing the game was a disappointment. However, stumbling upon someone as captivating as you, y/n, can certainly be counted as a delightful victory in its own right."
His words were laced with a charming jest, acknowledging the irony of the situation. A smile tugged at the corners of his lips, a subtle invitation to partake in the playful banter.
The comment caught you off guard, and a hint of blush painted your cheeks. His flirtatious demeanor was as unexpected as it was enchanting. Unable to resist the opportunity for a quick retort, you playfully responded, "Remember to thank your gods then."
With a gentle smile, Akashi's gaze met yours, a twinkle of amusement in his eyes. The unspoken understanding between you deepened, as if hinting at a future where the boundaries of competition and camaraderie blurred. The unexpected turn of events had created a unique connection, and the prospect of getting to know Akashi on a deeper level thrilled you.
After a few more exchanges of words, the conversation began to naturally wind down. Akashi excused himself, his attention being required by his coach. With a polite smile, he bids you farewell, leaving you momentarily stunned by the encounter.
As he walked away, his back straight and confident, you couldn't help but watch him with a mix of fascination and curiosity. The brief exchange had left an indelible mark, and you couldn't help but wonder what the future held for the two of you.
With a lingering smile on your face, you rejoined your friends, who were eagerly awaiting your return. Their eyes were wide with surprise, and their expressions were a mixture of shock, amusement, and curiosity. The moment they had witnessed between you and Akashi Seijuro had left quite an impression.
Kuroko, ever the calm and observant one, simply offered a small smile, his eyes twinkling with silent approval. "I didn't expect that, but it seems like you two had an interesting conversation," he commented softly.
Kagami, on the other hand, couldn't hide his astonishment. His jaw dropped, and he stared at you with a mix of disbelief and a touch of jealousy. "What the... Really, y/n? Akashi? When did this happen?" he blurted out, unable to contain his reaction.
Hyuga, the captain of the team, chuckled heartily, clapping you on the back. "Well, I'll be damned, y/n. I didn't know you had it in you to approach Akashi like that. I almost feel guilty for defeating your boyfriend."
Izuki, always one for wordplay, grinned mischievously. "Looks like you're taking 'shoot your shot' quite literally, y/n. I can't help but be impressed."
Kyoshi, the team's supportive and gentle player, chimed in with a warm smile. "That was brave of you, y/n."
As you were engrossed in the lively conversation with your teammates, you felt a gaze fixed on you. Instinctively, you turned your head, locking eyes with Akashi. His intense gaze met yours, and a small smile tugged at the corners of his lips.
Sensing the shift in the atmosphere, the Seirin team exploded in a chorus of exaggerated reactions. Some whistled playfully, while others nudged each other with raised eyebrows and knowing grins. Kagami, in particular, seemed ready to explode with a mix of disbelief and astonishment. You can even hear him mumble things like, "I didn't know you had a thing for psychopaths."
Riko finally chimed in amidst the commotion. "Alright, alright, settle down! Stop teasing y/n! We have to prepare for the award ceremony."
Amidst the playful banter and cheers from your teammates, you couldn't help but feel a surge of exhilaration. It was as if a new chapter had unfolded before your eyes, filled with possibilities and unspoken promises.
With a final glance back at your boisterous friends, you turned your attention fully to Akashi. And as you exchanged smiles, a mix of excitement and anticipation coursed through your veins.
The story between you and Akashi Seijuro was only just beginning, and with each passing moment, you were ready to discover what the future held.

in which you’re Kise Ryōta’s best friend, forced to watch him disintegrate before your eyes, his teeth growing sharper, his laughter going higher and his smiles getting faker. your friendship is one of the things you value most in your life. unbeknownst to you, he wants to ruin it.
long one-shot, alternate pov cheerleader!reader light angst, fluff, pining mellow, anime!kise because i’m delulu of his manga version (at least in this fic)
“What? What is it? Intimate? Private? Personal? But what are friends for, if you can’t talk to them about what really matters?  All these nights we spent talking together… How could you? How?”
The Name, Matthieu Delaporte and Alexandre de la Patellière
************************************************************************
You’ve known Kise Ryōta for as long as you could breathe.
Technically, you can’t remember your first meeting, since you were both in glass cribs in a Tokyoite hospital, blissfully unaware of the summer heat, but just as you were neighbours as babies in the maternity ward, you were neighbours as little toddlers in the sandbox, and neighbours as children, waving to each other from your window.
Then you had your first significant meeting in a gym. His elder sisters were taking ballet classes on the upper floor, and you were stuck together during stretching exercises in your rhythmic gymnastics class. You had offered your name, he had offered his, and it had been the childish equivalent of blood-brothering yourselves to each other.
Since then, you had been glued at the hip, like conjoined twins (without the unfortunate medical complications, of course), and people were more surprised to find you on your own than with each other.
You had followed Kise in every sport endeavour he had undertaken, from swimming to baseball, from gymnastics to volleyball, cricket to soccer, short-track and figure skating and cycling, and you watched as each time he mastered a sport and gradually grew bored with it, while you got into cheerleading in third grade and never regretted that decision. You waited for each other at the end of the school day, him on whatever sport activity had struck his fancy at the time, you running drills with the cheer squad, and you always stopped for drinks on the way back home, and you wouldn’t have it any other way.
Your parents never minded the fact that your best friend was a boy, because they had known Kise since he was little too, and you weren’t short of girlfriends thanks to the cheer squad. Though one day you had come back home crying, and your mother had gone into full mama bear mode, until you told her Kise had choked on a bone fish at lunch. You had never been so scared in your life and you had really thought he was going to die. Your father offered to sign you up for first aid classes, and you had dragged Kise with you.
************************************************************************
Middle school had been the first time you were separated. You went to Teikō Junior High, while Kise joined Teikoku Junior High, a school known for its invincible soccer team.
You made the mistake of briefing him on Teikō’s basketball team. To this day, you still don’t know if you forgive yourself or not. But in the end, you’ve decided that time in your lives had been necessary, and your relationship hadn’t been broken to the point where you couldn’t mend it.
Kise had taken on modelling, and as always you had been as supportive as possible, secretly hoping he would stick to it, that he had finally found a hobby that would keep his interest. He had wanted to get his ears pierced, because it would make him look cool, and you had decided against telling him that earrings could cause accidents. Two girls on your squad had been practising back tucks, and one had accidently caught the other's loop earring while spotting her, and you still remembered her shrill scream and all the blood that had dripped on the mat. However, you had had your own ears pierced a while ago as a birthday gift from one of your aunts, and you had noticed the way Kise looked at your ladybugs pendants. You had always done everything together, maybe he was feeling like he was missing out on an experience. So all in all, you hadn't thought it would be a bad idea, all things considered.
Hoo boy, were you wrong.
You had ended up in a café, sharing a tiny strawberry shortcake because you were both on a diet thanks to your demanding activities, and Kise was still sniffling over the pain of the piercing. You had left Claire's with him clutching his left ear, and your endless stream of comforting words had sort of calmed him, but he had refused to pierce his other ear. You had stopped on your way to buy disinfectant, and, without his knowing, a pair of small ring-like silver earrings. And, over the half-eaten shortcake, you had offered him an earring.
"You know, I think you'll look even cooler with only one. It's a style and I'm sure you'll rock it!"
He had looked up from his spoon, eyes still a bit watery, but glinting with hopefulness.
"You think so?"
"Of course! Here, take it."
You had made sure his wound was clean, and you had slid in the earring's pin. Then, you had slipped the other earring on your right thumb.
"Look, I'll keep it until you want to pierce your other ear. How about that?"
He had nodded, and both to change the topic and cheer him up, you had said:
"You know, my school has this incredible basketball program, and you haven't tried basketball yet, right?"
That's when everything started going south.
************************************************************************
You didn't mind being small.
Sure, sometimes you wished you would be a bit taller, mostly because you couldn't afford to gain weight, as on your frame it would show immediately and your coach would double your drills, but you knew that your small height was what allowed you to be top girl. You could back tuck into next year any girl on your squad, and any boy on the gymnastics club. Your kneecaps had been stunted by tumbling, but you didn't mind.
Except when Kise joined the basketball team and suddenly every person you hung out with was way, way, wayyyyyy taller than you.
Even Momoi, who didn't even play basketball, was taller than you.
At least none of them were jerks about it. Most of the time.
"Come on, stop sulking!"
"I'm not sulking!"
Aomine was easily the worst offender. At least purple-haired guy (Murasakibara? was that his name?) wasn't really mean about it. Plus he towered over everyone so you never took it personally. Aomine however always seemed to have fun asking you how the snails were faring today, since you were so close to them. You had no idea how Momoi managed to put up with him 24/7. Though it was true that with his negative 20 IQ thing going on half the time, Aomine was mostly manageable. You’d offered to tutor him, and had been blown away by how many subjects he was failing.
“I thought Kise was bad at school,” you’d said, ignoring your best friend’s theatrical pout, “but you take the cake.”
“What cake?”
“Go back to sleep, Murasakibara.”
(You haven’t seen Kise smile like that in a while. You’re not sure Teikoku was a great place.)
So you hung out with the first-string after practice, head still pounding with the pyramid counts, thighs bruised by the bottom bases’ grips, your shoulder still smarting, pain lancing through your arm. You tried not to throw up the ice-cream you bought, and you turned your head when Momoi touched your arm.
“What do you think about this app? It could be useful.”
You shook your head, looking up to the pink-haired girl.
“Once, I’ve entered Kise’s data in it—”
“You what—”
“And it told me he was three months pregnant. So, those apps are weird. You’re better off tracking it manually on a calendar.”
(The truth was, you didn’t know. You hadn’t had your period yet. None of the girls on your squad had—except Sachiko, and you’d never seen her again after the day you’d heard her crying in the bathrooms).
Momoi smiled, before catching sight of Kuroko and launching herself onwards like a rocket, earning little more than a deadpan look, though you could see the fondness under it.
But truly, you didn't mind, because for the first time in virtually forever, Kise looked genuinely excited about his new hobby. You thought that this time he really found companionship and stimulation. You smiled back at him whenever he turned to you in the bleachers after a successful shot, marvelling at the way he seemed to light up the whole court as soon as he stepped on it. His happiness was your happiness. So you'd never shown defiance towards the basketball team. You really hadn't thought that one through.
************************************************************************
You went shopping together because Kise had wanted a new phone and you were on your fourth store raid already. You didn't see anything wrong with his current phone, which still had on its back the Hello Kitty sticker you had given him when you entered middle school. Sure, it was peeling a little, but it was fine. Kise only asked for the phone's capacity and photographic quality each time, and off you were on your quest again. Munching on your fizzy drink's straw, you raised your head as he rushed towards you. Before you could ask him if he had finally found it, he slung one arm over your shoulders and told you to smile.
Heads bonking over the screen, you grinned at each other. You were both weak for selfies and your own phone didn't have any storage space left for them.
Kise made that one his lock screen picture, and turned fully to you.
"See, it takes pictures better than my eyes."
You had smiled, too, and you'd never questioned his enthusiasm over it.
************************************************************************
Kise's modelling activities had several perks.
For one, you got to meet so many hot people it should have been illegal. You could also get reductions on self-care products, and you were too cute to be broke, so you accepted it without problems. You even got to meet (well, stare at from afar) the photographer of your favourite girl group. Half the pictures on his Instagram account were taken by you, and thank cheer practice for flexibility, because you had to contort like a circus artist to get the best angle each time.
However, his fangirls weren't one of them.
Even though your relationship was strictly platonic, you still got some really hurtful letters and even texts (how did they even get your number?), and after a while you simply blocked them out. You had lost count of all the people trying to get to Kise through you, using you as a means to an end, and you just tried to screen the people that had vile intentions.
Though you could still see how it weighed on your best friend. He was nice and bubbly with everyone, and even if you worried about the mental gymnastics he had to do, you knew he wouldn't turn into a people-pleaser. A few days ago, you had snapped at one of your squadmates who had called him a "two-faced asshole" after being (quite politely, might you add) rejected.
And across from you, he had looked glumly at his (fishless) bento, and you had asked him what was wrong.
"There's this girl that keeps following me," he had sighed. "I tried to let her down but she's incredibly annoying. And clingy," he had grimaced.
Vaguely, you'd remembered a brown-haired girl who was always lingering at the basketball gym's door when you came after cheer practice to go home with Kise.
"So she's bothering you. Want me to go talk to her?"
"No! No, it's fine."
You knew he couldn't be blunt because it would come across as rude and the rumours would kill him. Still, it made your stomach churn with anger.
When the girl had latched onto Haizaki, as you comforted Kise after his crushing loss, you thought that at least it was one less thorn in his side.
************************************************************************
You had realised you were drifting apart at the end of your second year.
Cheer practice had been cancelled because your coach's kid was sick, and you were wandering aimlessly through the streets of the commercial district, half your mind on which high school you would have to go to.
And then you had crossed paths with Kise, who had looked like he was going in one of the glass-paned windows buildings, and you had stopped dead in your tracks. Not because he was where he wasn't supposed to be, but because he had seen you and smiled at you. You recognised that smile. It had the undercurrent of tension that was usually reserved for his fangirls, and it was directed at you.
"Shouldn't you be at practice?" you'd asked.
"Should I?"
That was how you'd known something was deeply wrong.
The basketball team wasn't exactly your friend group, since you hung out with the squad most of the time and without Kise, you didn't really have anything to say to them, except maybe for Momoi and Kuroko. And still you noticed how Aomine was nowhere to be seen, and even Midorima didn't bother with acknowledging you in the halls.
And worst of all, you'd watched Kise's eyes go back to being glazed over with boredom. Every time you asked him if he wanted to talk about it, and every time he reassured you, saying nothing was wrong.
Kise had never lied to you. He had always known all your problems and secrets, and you his.
Somehow, you felt guilty about what happened.
************************************************************************
Teiko was not known for its leniency when it came to sports practice.
Still, it was you who’d foolishly risen to the bait of your squad captain, and here you were on a Friday evening, shrugging icy water off of you hoping for feeling to come back to your toes, when you could have been at home already soaking in a bubble bath.
One good thing: nothing hurt anymore, since your limbs had fallen asleep. You could still catch the last train, so you made it out quickly, grabbing your bag. You walked stiffly to the exit, unwittingly going next to the basketball gym, ruining all your efforts.
(You hadn’t taken the challenge to prove anything to that empty-brained tumbler. You knew it’d hold you back enough so you could miss Ryōta on the way home and pretend it was club stuff. You’d been avoiding him and pretending not to notice his hurt looks. You were unravelling.)
So, that day, walking past the gym, steeling yourself not to look inside, you heard those words.
“Next time we see each other, we’ll be opponents.”
You sped up, almost running to the bus stop, your ankle smarting again after your short run had warmed up your body, heart beating to the confusing tune of hurt and longing.
You weren’t sure you could handle three more years like this.
************************************************************************
Sixteen and born to win, you hopped on the train right as the doors closed, slipping in without so much as a hair caught between the metal edges. Your nails flashed hot pink against the grey of your new uniform skirt, and your hair was tied neatly. You were ready to hit the mat before breakfast.
Of course, you dropped on a seat and immediately let your head fall against the window, catching up on your lost sleep.
Under your eyelids, you couldn’t stop your mind from flashing your phone’s black screen, Kise silent after you’d texted him you couldn’t walk to school with him because of club imperatives, your heart sinking a little in your chest. You couldn’t help but remember the knowing look Momoi had given you at graduation when you’d told her which high school you were going to. As if she were one to talk—you hadn’t made any comment when she’d said she would be going to Tōō! And anyway, it was either this or Shutoku, and you wouldn’t be caught dead on the same squad as your former cheer captain. That girl was going down this year or else.
High school was going to be a good time, you’d make sure of it. New place, new people new rules, new you.
************************************************************************
When Kise Ryōta was five years old, he learnt that little girls could bend in half.
He saw one of them do it, in the gym where his oldest sister had left him while she took her dance classes on the upper floor.
She had bent so far that, for a second, he had been worried she would snap in two.
He would never forget that moment—the moment he discovered what extraordinary meant.
He would never forget any of the moments that came after, when you had told him your name and became his friend at a time when he was so lonely it hurt.
As you both grew up, he’d started to worry you would move on. Find someone better, someone more interesting. Someone truly gifted in something the way he wasn’t—copying is the lowest form of the wit, after all, or however the saying went.
Or maybe he would get bored of you. Get bored of seeing the same face day after day.
Unfortunately, as the years passed, he didn’t grow bored.
Kise discovered a new sentiment: frustration.
And you were painfully oblivious to it, wrapped up in your own worry.
************************************************************************
First-aid classes with you were horrible for his blood pressure.
Sometimes, the instructor felt merciful and let you practise on mannequins. Other times, the elderly man fancied himself a hotshot cardiac surgeon or something and forced you to practise on live bodies. “A mannequin can’t prepare you for the feeling of ribs breaking under your hands,” he had said, dead serious, with a dozen teens looking uncomfortable as hell.
You insisted on signing up every year in order not to forget the manoeuvres. He knew where that came from, and sure, if he was to choke on a bone fish again or go into cardiac arrest from a bad collision, there’d better be someone who knew the Heimlich manoeuvre and CPR. But if you were the one doing it? He was going to choke anyway.
You hovering over him, eyes on his mouth, gaze focused and jaw set? Yeah, every session was torture and you didn’t even notice. Were you even his friend? Did you even care a little bit about his feelings? How could you not feel the way his skin burnt under your fingers when you pulled him into a practiced recovery position?
As he drifted away from his own teammates, from the new passion basketball had kindled in him, he decided against telling you the only thing keeping him coming to practice was the thought of walking home with you.
************************************************************************
He didn’t have a clue most of the time.
Everything was fine, and then something switched. The day he started undressing you in his head—absent-mindedly, like it was nothing at all, like you weren’t his most precious friend, like he wasn’t unravelling the last thread of his reality—was the day he knew he was fucked six ways from Sunday. You were stuck in a push-and-pull with each other, and he didn’t know what to do.
It seemed Kise could not keep his friendships going smoothly.
You holding his hand or hugging him was never a problem before. He refused to spoil your relationship like with the other Miracles. On the other hand, throwing it all away was so tempting, the easy way out, burn all the bridges and pretend it never happened. If you had been someone else, he’d already have done it. But you were you. You were not some girl he could just toy with, speeding it up to get faster to the break-up.
On a good day, he would psych himself into trying to talk to you—and always failed miserably to follow through with his plan.
When you were younger, you’d hold sleepovers at his or your house, in the dark, by candlelight, giggling uncontrollably until his sisters or your parents came to scold you gently.
He appreciated candlelight even more now, some seven years later and several hours a day spent under the unforgiving blinding flash of a photographer’s camera. He liked the warm flickering glow of it, how the candle slowly died, and you’d agree on going to bed, but would end up talking again until either of you fell asleep. He liked catching glimpses of you in the dark, piecing you back together in his head, fragments of you in this soft glow haunting his dreams, and he'd wake up with strands of your hair in his dry mouth and his hands uncomfortably close to you and he'd go straight to the bathroom. Being overly enthusiastic at breakfast didn’t quite make up for it, unfortunately, and he’d pretend not to notice the question in your gaze.
At the height of summer, he gave up on faking indifference at the way your shorts rode up on your thighs, showing blue and purple bruises where you’d been gripped countless times, propped up by bottom bases for a pyramid. Lying on the grass, he tried to focus on your words despite the blood rushing in his ears, thinking about how much he wanted to make those bruises his doing, how he wanted to—
He came later and later when you were having sleepovers, photoshoots and practice eating away at his time, smiling sheepishly to your father working in the living-room, you were already half-asleep on your covers spread on the floor, near your open window, aquarium glowing softly purple, pump-pump-pumping water. Your eyes two bright spots on your lit-up face when you pulled gently on his sleeve to make him lie down next to you. He complied every time, exhaustion making his limbs weak. He tried to sleep and not think about how hard it was to not touch.
School was no respite for him. When he managed to hide from his fangirls, you spent the break stowed away, pressed against each other like when you were little, and life was a river under a rainbow. You leaned on his shoulder in the hallway, staying still until the motion-activated lights turned off.
You would both pretend everything was fine, and that this wasn’t the worst time of your lives.
************************************************************************
You looked at him but you failed to notice how he looked at you—how his gaze followed the hair catching at your mouth whenever you landed a tumbling pass, ponytail flipping, how he trailed close when you walked on railings by the road on the way home, how his breath hitched when you dismounted with an aerial walkover as if a car didn’t zoom past you at one hundred miles per hour, looking back at him and shooting him a cocky grin, how you were always confident and invested in a single thing, laser-focused on your passion.
The hardest thing in cheer was not the tumbling passes, or the pyramids, or the hours or the gruelling practices, the injuries or the rivalries. It was the smile hiding the lactic acid building in the muscles, it was the spring in the step on hardwood floor, the unfailing cheerfulness.
“Why do you like it?”
He’d asked one day, at the end of cheer practice, which for once had overrun basketball—they needed to prepare for regionals, especially with Shutoku’s squad firing on all cylinders on the circuit this year.
“I’m part of something,” you’d said. “I’m part of something and I don’t have to look at myself.”
After a moment, you’d asked:
“Why do you like basketball?”
He’d paused to really think about it for a minute, and realized he’d finally settled on an answer long ago. He just had to acknowledge it.
“I’m part of a team.”
************************************************************************
Highschool saw you fall into a tentative, sincere routine that was an attempt at going back to the way things were.
(When will you both admit things changed? You were waiting to see who would break first.)
You walked to and from school together. Ease came back as you stopped awkwardly greeting each other, picking up the conversation where you’d last left off without missing a beat, like before. It felt safe, comfortable.
You came to Kise’s games with a spring in your step, happy to see him interact with his teammates, happy to see that Kaijō was free of the currents of tension that had plagued Teikō’s last days.
You went back to your favourite hole-in-the-wall coffee shop, sharing food the way you used to. Everything clicked gradually back into place like synchronizing heartbeats, and even though you knew things would never be the same again, you did your best to make up for what happened, and he did too.
Maybe this was your way of apologizing. Maybe it was his, too.
“I think I need a new lock screen photo,” Kise said one day, gauging your reaction.
“Yeah, I think you do,” you answered.
You grinned at each other.
Things always looked up eventually.
************************************************************************
One second you were soaring in the air under the blinding lights of the stadium, so high, high, high up you could have sworn you touched the rafters, your whole body tight and arms crossed on your chest as you completed your flip, heart rattling against your ribcage partly because of the booming music and partly because of the sheer excitement you’d been feeling.
The next second, your head was meeting the unforgiving, hardwood, polished floor of the court, your squadmates desperately scrambling for you, painted nails scratching at your arms, thighs and waist, clutching and leaving crescent-shaped indents in your skin, and as you were propped upright, you felt sticky hot blood coating your forehead and hairline, and you blurted out: "Oh, that's not good."
The good side of things was that you didn't really feel the pain, since you were living an out-of-body experience. It had started when your squad got on the court, as always, your body slipping out of your mind's control to execute the choreography, the tumbling passes and pyramid beats, and even your injury couldn't jolt you back to reality. Adrenaline was still coursing through your veins, and the hallway was swirling a little. One of your squadmates was standing guard near the bench you sat on, trying not to lie down, and your coach had called an ambulance. You had started debating internally whether falling asleep and risking not waking up was worth it or not when you caught a blue and yellow blur at the periphery of your vision.
A split second later, two strong, callused hands softly cupped your cheeks and you tried to focus on the two worried brown eyes staring at you. It took three long seconds for you to piece it back together—pretty in blue, perfectly winged eyeliner and the hand that held your own when he  dragged you from mall to mall—your best friend was here.
You smiled brightly, though you weren't sure if your numbing body had followed the motion since Kise's brows furrowed further.
"Ryōta!" you chimed, your own voice sounding far away. "Is the match over?"
"It's still half-time. They're cleaning your blood off the court."
"Oh," you muttered, nodding in understanding, the movement sending pain flaring through your nerves, kind of bumped out Kise hadn't won yet, because then you would have headed out for celebratory drinks, and you knew you had to talk to him about something, but what? You were sure you had planned to talk…
You heard Kise calling out your name, and the edge of panic to his voice made you realise you’d been zoning out.
"Are you okay?"
As you tried to focus on his gaze and the feeling of his fingers on your cheeks, you caught sight of your squadmate beckoning your coach over.
"I'm perfectly fine," you beamed as you started falling over, the siren of the ambulance blaring painfully in your brain even from behind the stadium glass gates, blue and red lights flashing on your face, and your vision went black.
************************************************************************
Kise could barely focus on the rest of the match.
Of course, it didn't mean he threw it. He blazed across the court in his usual, miracle-curb-stomping-mortals fashion, but he was off, half out of it. Even though the team they were facing was nowhere near a threat to Kaijō, he knew Kasamatsu wouldn't have hesitated to drop kick him into next year were it not for the too-shiny spot near the half court line where you bled out. Okay, maybe there was no need to be dramatic about it but you'd been whisked away by an ambulance and even the cheer coach, who didn't blink at splintered shins and broken arms, had looked worried. Head injuries could be lethal in this sport. You weren't paralyzed or anything, but he remembered the dried blood near your hairline and your unfocused eyes, glazed over with pain and what was probably the beginning of a concussion.
After the game, he put his clothes back on in autopilot mode, wordlessly letting know Coach Takeuchi he was going straight to the hospital and not getting on the team bus.
The receptionist looked at him with downright unwarranted distrust when he told her he was waiting for you, and that you’d suffered a head injury.
“Let me guess: she fell down the stairs?”
Kise didn’t even know what to say to that, mind coming up blank with worry, and so simply went to sit between a sniffling child and a man who seemed fine despite the axe planted in his head. He belatedly remembered to text his manager he was not coming to the shoot after all.
His chest deflated with relief when he saw your coach step back out in the waiting room, with you right behind her, bandages hiding under your bangs. He sprung up, ignoring the eyes of the receptionist burning holes in his back, and waited until your coach had left you near your house before talking to you. The blood trickling from your forehead where you’d split skin had been spectacular but harmless, as you’d only suffered from a little head trauma. The hematoma would disappear in three weeks all on its own. His throat felt choked up with relief and all the unnamed emotions he’d let simmer during all those years.
You arrived in front of your apartment complex, street lights falling on the street walk, splashes of light on the dark pavement. Silence blanketed you while you were trying to muster the courage to talk.
At the same time, you both said:
“I’m sorry.”
Kise blinked. Sorry? About what? What even—why couldn’t he even apologize properly—
“I wasn’t there for you,” you said, feeling your eyelashes brush against your bandages. “I should have tried to help you instead of watching it happen.”
“What—no, no! I—”
Come on, get your shit together, Ryōta.
“I was avoiding you,” he finally admitted. “Because… I can’t be friends with you anymore.”
You were stunned into silence, coming to a halt before the steps leading to the entrance of the apartment complex. For a second, you convinced yourself you’d misheard. That you’d actually suffered a concussion and were hallucinating this whole part. That this wasn’t happening.
“It’s not because I don’t like you!” He scrambled to save the throw, trying to get all his thoughts out faster upon seeing the way you’d reacted. “It’s because I like you…too much.”
Kise bit on his tongue. He was messing this up. He was messing this up so badly. He felt so stupid, where was his casual flirtiness when he needed it, you would never talk to him again—
You silently hugged him tight, something you hadn’t done since middle school, and the air flew out of his lungs like you’d just punched him.
Humiliating tears pricked his eyes and he closed his arms around you, burying his nose in your hair, your game-day shampoo’s scent wrapping around him, and he found the strength to say, so quietly you could have not heard it: “I missed you.”
“I missed you too. I’m just glad you’re okay.”
Stupid, stupid you to worry about him when you literally split your head open. But it was true, wasn’t it? He didn’t need to be dragged to practice, you’d timidly gone back to hanging out together more often, and he found that he actually liked those Kaijō lunatics (though he still did not appreciate Kasamatsu’s cage fight skills).
“See you tomorrow?”
Kise reluctantly let you out of his arms, and nodded, heart swelling with relief. Relief, relief, relief. You still wanted to talk to him.
“See you tomorrow.”
You turned, but halted, one foot still lifted over the first step. Did your heart hurt? Did he need to call your parents? His hand went fishing for his phone in his pocket, set on dialling your mom’s number, but he went still when you turned again and took one step closer to him, your hand gripping his jacket, and he mindlessly bent down, eyes widening as you got closer and closer until your lips pressed against his.
Every coherent thought disappeared as his brain turned to mush, and he let out an undignified noise as your tongue anxiously, timidly slipped into his mouth. He’d become the embodiment of non-resistance, hands cupping your face as a wave of heat washed over him.
Then, as quickly as you’d started, you stopped and took a step back.
Kise distantly thought he was probably as red as Kagami’s hair, brain rewiring to produce full sentences again.
“See you tomorrow,” you said, with finality this time, smiling softly.
He nodded, watching you go inside.
He’d see you tomorrow, and the day after tomorrow, and the day after that, and he wouldn’t have it any other way.

Tumblr media
[disclaimer: i do not own the original animated picture, it was uploaded to wallpapercave by apple3d]
your hands shook for the first time that day as you stood there in the kitchen, the apron loosely hanging to your tired form. your left hand on the white onion that you just peeled, your right hand holding the knife, the nails of which carried the remnants of the aforementioned onion’s shell. your hand shook as you kept thinking about it, about how you just have had enough.
turns out marrying aomine daiki was not the difficult part, the hardest part came afterwards — staying married to him, cause God bears witness to how many times you have just wanted to scream and shout out of sheer hatred.
hatred not for him but his sport, his career, and now that you think about it — hatred for a part of him, too, cause basketball was not just a sport for him, it was his entire life which you have always whole-heartedly supported but sometimes, just sometimes, you want to headbutt him and then maybe, just maybe wrap your small (compared to his) hands around his neck and squeeze with all your might to watch the life fleeing through his eyes.
but guess we are not ready for that conversation yet.
shaking your head, you continued with cutting the onion, although you almost did cut your finger but it was a near miss. after you were done cutting the carrots and the beans, you moved the pot filled with water on top of the stove at high flame.
the sound of the door opening did not do much to faze you and you gently continued with putting the chopped vegetables inside the pot, now that the water was shimmering a bit. the surrounding soon filled with the familiar sound of daiki’s practice bag dropping to the floor, followed by the unlacing of his shoes and his socks dropping on the floor to which he is not going to pay another look to.
his footsteps were soft and almost rhythmic as they resounded louder with every step that he took because he was taking those steps towards you only. you knew very well what exactly was going to happen next but nonetheless you kept playing ‘don’t do it dai-kun’ in your head like a mantra and there, just when you were in the middle of chanting that mantra, it happened.
his sweaty figure hovered behind you, so close to your back that you could feel his breath on your shoulder, his hands were swift, much like in basketball as he wrapped them around your chest, his right hand falling in place — on your left breast.
“mhm, here are my favourite pair of tits.”
the smirk that must have formed on his lips is unmistakable.
‘so you have other pair of backup tits?’ you would have replied on a regular day but you kept quiet.
daiki noted your silence but continued, “and no, i do not have any pair of backup tits, yours are enough.”
he expected you to reply now maybe but you kept quiet.
and then came the familiar grinding, his lower half grinded against your ass, his boner becoming more and more prominent.
and that was it, that is what it all took.
“leave me alone dai-kun,” your voice was exceptionally low. in your mind however that was mellow cause what you expected to do was burst out, have a meltdown, break things even maybe but aomine daiki’s sheer presence just proved that you were his wife first and y/n second and you hated that, hated yourself for that.
daiki chuckled thinking nothing of it and inched his fingers near your nipple to stimulate it but your hand on his startled him. your small cold hand on his usual hotter one is what it took for him to finally understand that something was amiss.
“what’s wrong?”
“wow, the fucking nerve you have.”
“excuse me?” daiki was startled again and took a step back.
you turned around after your hand instinctively lowered the flame of the stove, “have you seen the time?”
“yeah. it’s late i know, and?”
“and what dai kun?! and fucking what? i am fucking tired. it is 12 in the middle of a god awful night and you are coming back now. i was late tonight as well and just wanted to come home to my husband but i got what i always get, fucking loneliness creeping and lingering in this ‘shared’ apartment.”
your tone change at the ‘shared’ word surprised you even. you did not mean to sound that rude.
“babe, if work is getting overwhelming and you have to put in more hours, it is fine. i will understand if you do not want to cook. leave it, we can just order something,” daiki offered you a gentle smile, his hand advancing towards you but your maniacal laugh shocked, nay, scared him. it was bone chilling. you do not even talk in a louder tone and here you were laughing an almost sadistic laugh.
“wh-what’s wrong?” daiki stuttered, probably the first time in his life, wait the second; counting the time when he proposed to you because he was shit scared out of his mind.
“of course you would not mind if i do not cook one night, aomine daiki and maybe if i stop cooking altogether, that would not bother you as well. you know what, i should stop waking up at four in the morning to prepare your bento boxes and attending your matches, taping your broken bones and taking your parents to their monthly doctor checkups. oh and also, definitely stop fucking you.”
daiki was not sure what was happening nor did he have any idea how to respond to your outburst, “baby, if it is getting hard at work, it is okay if you want to take a break or something.”
you had not noticed but you were crying, you cannot just be angry, if you are angry you obviously are also crying because that is the only way you know how to vent out.
you shook your head, “and they told me talking would fix things. my fucking ass,” you sniffled, wiping your tears as if in a hurry and pulled your shrug closer to your form as if a cold draft just passed through you, “i am leaving, dai-kun. since you would not really notice if i stopped doing any of that, i don’t see the point of even standing here anymore,” your hand reached out inside the pocket to bring out your phone.
daiki watched you in horror, like in that match when kagami passed through daiki’s defense using kuroko’s misdirection overflow. back then it took two people to faze him but here, tonight, you were doing it alone so effortlessly.
“can you pick me up?” your soft sniffles rang like bells inside his head, it was as if everything around him was moving in slow-motion.
he meant to ask you who had you called or maybe where you were going or how long were you taking a break for but you beat him to it.
“akashi kun is coming to pick me up, you will receive the divorce papers first thing in the morning,” you rushed to the bedroom after noticing his star struck expression, your tears free falling but you hardly cared about them as you hurriedly stuffed in your clothes inside a suitcase.
daiki took a while to process everything but was quick to follow you to the bedroom, “babe please, we can talk. i swear i will listen to everything you have to say.”
“you just listened dai kun, listened to everything i had to say. i am done now. i am not even sure if i want to see you again.”
daiki never knew that words could hurt so deeply cause that last bit struck him, struck him deep almost like it gnawed away a huge portion of his heart. a heart that he did not even possess for years now cause he gave it to you, in its entirety.
there was a car honk outside and he just watched wordlessly as you walked out of the apartment. how the hell did akashi come so quickly? or maybe its daiki who has lost track of time cause by the time he ran downstairs to try and stop you, you had already ascended akashi’s mercedes and left.
there, you were gone. his iris lit up with only the red from the tail-lights of the car, it was blurring at first but as the car went further away, it became smaller and smaller till it was only a small speck. you were only a small speck, or smaller cause he could not make out your figure in the passenger seat anymore. you were too far from him, too far. the only sound he heard in the lull of the night was the thud of his knees and the slight crack of his bones as they met with the sidewalk.
︶︶︶︶︶︶︶︶︶༉‧₊˚.
“are you sure about this?” akashi’s voice lacked the usual confidence and luster.
you nodded at once, “yes. i am sure. it is way past the final quarter, i should accept my defeat and move on,” you tried to make a basketball joke to lighten the mood.
akashi’s words died down in his throat as he just offered a small nod and kept driving. an hour drive later, you arrived at aida riko’s house where akashi left soon after helping with your luggage.
you watched his car driving away, a part of you wished that he went back to daiki and maybe checked up on him. you have never seen daiki that upset but the other part of you just could not be bothered to care.
riko ushered you back inside, the warmth of her house filled you with that same emptiness as you started crying again, your blurred vision moved from one corner to the other as you noticed the christmas decoration. it was christmas eve and although the decorative lights were turned off but you could just feel it in your bones how good and bright they would be shining around the tree, a feeling you could never experience in your own home in the past three years. it was just four walls and a roof, an apartment at best, where daiki resided for an hour or two, or less maybe if he skipped the foreplay and just fucked you and then even skipped the shower afterwards to leave again for practice at the crack of dawn.
“i am sorry, i must have ruined your christmas,” your voice cracked and you repeated yourself just to make sure you were audible enough.
riko was quick to hug your shaking form, her hand rubbing soothing circles on your back, “never ever think like that again.”
you tried to stop crying but you could not, instead you just hugged her form and kept crying for what felt like hours cause her arms always felt like an older sister’s would.
︶︶︶︶︶︶︶︶︶༉‧₊˚.
feedback is deeply appreciated.✨

Honestly, I love the idea of Teppei Kiyoshi putting his s/o over his shoulder when they get too angry. He'd apologize to the person who was a second away from getting wrecked, putting on his cute face while reader is struggling and squirming to try and fight still. Hanamiya better watch out. Could you write something for that? If not that’s okay!

❦ FEISTY
cw: none, this is fluff, language [not proofread]
the fact that my boyfriend already has to hold me back cause im a bitch that doesn’t let people walk over him :)
Tumblr media
your boyfriend is handsome. he’s kind, funny, and cute, so everyone flocks to him.
he likes to think you compliment him; you have an attitude—you’re feisty. it’s one of his favourite things about you.
it also means he needs to keep you on a metaphorical leash when you two go out, get a little bit of alcohol in you at the bar and you’re a wild thing. so when he sees you crashing the billiards tournament, he’s not too concerned until he sees your face fall from a tipsy smile to an annoyed glare.
it’s second nature to excuse himself from the conversation and make his way quickly across the bar to where you are, getting in the face of some guy who looks like he regrets everything.
“hands off means hands off, little boy.” you snarl and the guy’s eyes flick towards your boyfriend behind you.
“control your bitch, dude.” he says.
“oh, i’ll show you what a bitch is.” you threaten, only for the world to turn upside down.
the alcohol in your system paired with your man’s arms hauling you over his shoulder shut you up for a dizzying second before you’re squirming around and trying to get out of his his hold.
“please don’t call my girl that.” you hear teppei say, pinching your butt to make you stop.
there’s a pause.
“i see a bitch, i call a bitch.”
“well, i see a virgin who struck out, so…” you can practically hear the adorable smile on your boyfriend’s face.
you snort. audibly.
and your boyfriend walks out of the bar.
he doesn’t say anything on the way home, doesn’t put you down either, and you enjoy swaying in the wind and teppei’s hands on your thighs.
“i could’ve handled it.” you hummed and he patted your butt affectionately.
“i don’t feel like bailing you outta jail tonight, babe.”

Atsushi Murasakibara
Kuroko no Basket scenario
Tumblr media
You were watching Yosen's basketball team training after class, when you noticed Himuro using his t-shirt to dry his face, a bit of his abs appeared from that action. You look with interest and a blush on your face.
You didn't notice that Murasakibara was watching you and getting jealous.
The giant decides to participate in the training, standing from the bench and going to the court. Although it was easy for him, Atsushi could feel the sweat dripping from his face after some minutes. He used his shirt to dry his face and then, look at you, with a proud smile when notice that you're looking away with the scared expression of someone who was caught doing something they shouldn't.
"(y/n)-chin, you pervert"

Because I loved all of your make out stories, what would actually help global warming and hunger is Takao make out story ✨ where Takao and his s/o gets their first proper make out story bc Takao deserves the world as The Greenest Flag In KnB 🛐
I would die for Takao Kazunari so absolutely. Ty for making me write more for the best boy !! It’s a short one but hope you enjoy muah xx
Scenario: making out with Takao
- gender neutral reader
Tumblr media
Takao’s favourite time was 1 a.m.. You’d think between school, training and being Midorima’s chauffeur, he’d be sound asleep at this time, but this was the time when the world went quiet. This was the time where it was just the two of you— no distractions.
You lived a walkable distance from Takao. It wasn’t close enough for him to deem you his neighbour, but if he were to just walk down the street and take a left turn, he’d be right at your door. Given this, sneaking into your bedroom at 1 a.m. had become the norm for him over the past two weeks. With his busy schedule, it was hard to find alone time with you. If he were to see you during the day, it would often be with other friends as well. So this was the only time he could spend with you and only you.
Unfortunately, the weather tonight was not in his favour. As he looked outside his bedroom window, he watched as the rain poured relentlessly into his backyard. If it were just the rain, he could’ve just stepped outside with his umbrella, but the wind was so strong that he could hear it without even opening his window. His umbrella wasn’t surviving that.
Takao looked down at the text you sent him, almost as if you could read his mind.
y/n: i don’t think you should come over tn. the weather is terrible :(
takao: it’s just a little rain, dw about it I’ll be there in five :)
y/n: wdym ‘just a little rain’?? ITS POURING
takao: pfft it’s just water. I’m stronger than water
You sighed at his response even though it had you grinning like an idiot. It was just like Takao to do something as silly as this. You decided to head downstairs as quietly as you could so that you could open the door for Takao when he does get here. Your parents were heavy sleepers so it wasn’t like they were going to wake up anyways, but it was good to be cautious.
You waited patiently for a few minutes until you heard a light tap on the door, a signal for you to open it for Takao. As the door slowly opened, you were greeted by the sight of your soaking wet boyfriend who looked like he’d been through hell and back.
“Oh my god, Takao!” you whisper shouted as you ushered him in, slowly closing the door behind you.
“It wasn’t that bad,” he shrugged, but it was obviously a lie. He wasn’t even wearing a raincoat. All he had on was a, now soaking, black hoodie and shorts— he was dressed as if it was just another day.
“Let’s get you dried up,” you just sighed in response, turning on your heel to head back upstairs to your room.
“What? You’re not gonna hug me? Weren’t you the one that said you missed me?” Takao grinned, opening his arms up and moving closer to you.
You quickly moved back, trying to get him as far away from you as possible. “I’ll give you a hug when you’re dry,” you said, keeping an eye on his every move.
“Well that’s no fun, come here,” Takao said, the most mischievous look in his blue eyes as he strode over to you. Much to your dismay, you were too slow to react to this, soon finding yourself in a fit of giggles as Takao enveloped you in a big, wet hug.
“Let me go!” you laughed, trying to keep your voice down as you tried to wiggle out of his grasp.
Takao did as he was told after leaving a soft peck on your cheek, knowing the damage was already done. “Haven’t you missed me?” Takao smiled, tone more mocking than anything.
“Shut up, let’s go. I need to change now as well,” you rolled your eyes.
The two of you got to your room and you fished the clothes you had stolen from him out of your closet, handing him a towel to dry his hair with as well. You picked out a baggy T-shirt for yourself as well and you changed into it nonchalantly, Takao watching your every move in awe.
You looked back at him with an eyebrow raised in confusion. “What?”
“Nothing, just didn’t expect you to be taking your shirt off this quickly,” he replied smoothly, making you blush.
“Shut up and get changed,” you chuckled, walking over and hanging your damp shirt on your clothes rack.
“Get changed? Can I have some privacy then please?” Takao said sarcastically.
“What? Do you want me to close my eyes?” You joked.
“Yes, thank you very much,” he said as a matter-of-factly.
“You’re kidding…”
“Go on then,” he looked at you expectantly.
“I’ve seen you na—”
“I’m waiting,” he cut you off, committed to the bit.
You let out a sigh as you sat down at the edge of your bed, putting your hands over your eyes.
“Thank you,” Takao said in a tone that made you want to slap the grin off his face.
You heard Takao shuffle around as he moved to take his clothes off. Admittedly, the curiosity got the best of you and you began to watch him through the gaps between your fingers. It should’ve been a crime for him to keep you from watching him. No matter how many times you’ve seen it, you still went weak in the knees seeing him with his shirt off. His toned muscles, damp skin, veiny arms— magnificent. Not to mention he was still sporting the marks you left on his neck the night before. It was truly a sight.
“I know you’re peeping,” Takao said as he tightened the drawstring on his sweatpants, turning over to meet your eyes through your fingers.
“No I’m not,” you said immediately, though the smile on your face said otherwise.
You watched him walk towards you, his hands grabbing your wrists and moving them away from your face, bending over so his eyes were in line with yours. “I could feel you watching me, you perv,” Takao grinned, voice so low that you could feel it in your stomach.
“You can’t blame me when you look like that,” you replied, your eyes darting down the exposed skin of his upper body.
“Hey, my eyes are up here,” Takao said, his lips now inches away from yours. A moment of silence passed by as you met with Takao’s steel blue eyes, your heart feeling like it was about to stop beating at any moment with the way he looked at you.
He soon closed the gap between you two, your lips colliding with each other’s with as much passion as your very first kiss. His touch was soft— it always was in the beginning. With the grip he still had on both your wrists, he slowly pushed you onto your bed, pinning your hands to either side of you as he bit on your bottom lip, eliciting a soft whine from you.
You felt Takao’s tongue slowly slide into your mouth, roaming the familiar territory as he comforted himself in the warmth of your soft lips. Takao’s hair was still damp. You could feel some of the cold, wet strands brush against your forehead as he hovered on top of you. You weren’t opposed to it though. The familiarity of his movements had you melting at his touch, the smell of his cologne reminding you of all the times he’s satisfied you, making your need for him grow stronger with each passing moment.
Takao’s hands released their grip on yours. Your hands instinctively moved to run through his wet locks while his fingers lightly traced over your clothed chest. His hands moved lower and lower, lips not losing contact with yours for even a second as his cold fingers slipped under your shirt. You took a sharp breath in at the sensation of his cold touch on your skin, and you could feel Takao smile against your lips.
He’d missed this. Yes, it had only been a day since he’s had you in this state last, but he could never get enough of it. The dark haired man pulled away from your lips for a moment, quickly directing himself to your neck, beginning to leave soft kisses that had you humming in approval. Takao’s hands made their way further down, fingers tracing over your shorts as he began to leave marks on your neck, your body growing more and more impatient for him. You knew he needed you just as bad, his hips slowly began to grind against you and you could feel him through the fabric of the sweatpants. You couldn’t help but let out a soft moan at the feel of it.
Takao felt you buck your hips up in search of some friction and he couldn’t help but grin in satisfaction. He loved this. He loved drawing out his movements until you were a desperate mess underneath him. He loved hearing your soft little whines of frustration just like you were doing now.
“Kazu…” it was like music to his ears, “please.”
“Hm?” Takao hummed against your neck, playing dumb as he pulled away to look down at you with his sultry blue eyes. He didn’t have to say it, you knew he wanted you to use your words.
“I need more… please,” you whispered, aching for more of his touch.
“How could I ever say no to you?” he smiled, leaning down to press his lips against yours once more. There was nothing he loved more than the taste of you.

Hiii love <3 can I request hcs of Aomine, Kiyoshi and Imayoshi with a s/o that's terrible at sports? Like how would they feel about how unathletic their s/o are 😭 thank you for this :))
❤️Aomine Daiki, Kiyoshi Teppei, and Imayoshi Shoichi Having S/O Who Are Terrible At Sports❤️
➽───────────────❥➽───────────────❥
A/N: YO MY FRIEND! Thank you so much for requesting me this headcanon. I feel like I am also Unathletic so this would be quite relatable for me and some of the readers. There might be some fluff scenes or some jokes. I hope you like the final result!
Warning: None
Gender: Neutral
➽───────────────❥➽───────────────❥
Aomine Daiki -Touou Academy
Tumblr media
Darling, I'm not saying that Aomine is heartless but you know he can be an insensitive prick and the reason I am saying this is because Aomine would make fun of you.
But he's not a monster so he is only going to bully you lovingly when you fail to shoot your basketball. Yes; I said it. He is going to bully you when you fail to shoot your ball.
"Lol, is that how do you shoot the ball? Let me show you how babe. I'll show you how I do it," while messing up your hair and turning your hair into a bird's nest because he just loves messing with your hair.
I don't think he minds that he has a S/O that is horrible at sports but he does acquire to have a S/O that likes to have fun while playing sports. You don't have to be a good player, you just need to have fun.
If you are bad at sports as his S/O, he would make fun of you, especially your height if you are a short gremlin. However, he would be kind enough to teach you how to play basketball.
I'm sorry babe I know I said that he wants a S/O that does enjoy sports because he's the type that likes to invite people to have fun so if you hate basketball. There's a chance he's going to break up with you or he would keep forcing you to play with him.
If you are not good at blocking. HE IS DEFINITELY GOING TO STEAL YOUR BALL OFTEN! TOO OFTEN THAT YOU WOULD GET ANNOYED BY HIM! I'm sorry babe. I'm just saying how he is.
But don't worry, he would still love you even though you are not athletic enough. But that just means he will be more jerk because he's not going to stop to tease you.
Ⰶ║ ⵈ ⵈ ⵈ ⵈ ⵈ ⵈ║Ⰶ
It was in the afternoon and the gym was surprisingly empty because it's usually filled with basketball team members training. There's a chance that they are going to train a little bit late because even the coach is not in the place or maybe the training would be tomorrow so it's very peaceful. There are no sounds of basketball balls hitting the board or the sound of the basketball team screaming.
(Y/N) which are you, find this kind of odd but you didn't really mind about it because it's better to be like this. You hate the idea of your face getting hit by those things. Those things are hard, harder than volleyballs to no joke. There are many cases of your classmates getting hit on the face until they were unconscious.
However, it spikes your curiosity and you want to know what it feels like to play basketball. You saw your boyfriend playing basketball before and he was an amazing player. No one ever has beaten him on the court each time you watch him playing basketball and defeating the enemy.
As a result of your own curiosity, the (H/C) haired and (S/C) skinned woman/man/nonbinary starts to get up from the sit before walking into one of the carts that were filled by the balls. Taking one of them and trodding closer to one of the basketball hoops. You do notice it would be very difficult for short people to play because this kind of thing is tall.
But this did not stop you at all. Instead, this makes you determined to get at least one of the balls inside of the ring as you start to dribble the ball. As your hand catch the dribbling ball, you took a deep breath and closed your (E/C) eyes before opening them to see the rings across from you, standing like a giant.
"BAM!"
Well, it sure disappoint (Y/N) a lot because it did not get inside of the hoop and (Y/N) can hear the horrible familiar loud laughter from far away. Your eyes immediately wide in shock, turning around to see your boyfriend, Aomine Daiki. Laughing at you for failing at your shoot as he wipes the fake tears from the corner of his eyes.
"Is that what you call a shoot?" he steps up inside the gym with a smirk on his face. "Let me show you how it's done, shortie-" he puts his arms in the pocket of his basketball shorts as he stands in front of you.

Kiyoshi Teppei - Seirin High School
Tumblr media
A gentleman and one of the hottest angels in Seirin. Also, the one who would most likely not judge you if you are horrible in sports and not athletic. So he is less much of a jerk than Aomine.
Kiyoshi definitely still loves you even if you never make a shoot in your life or if you are horrible in any sport because I believe his kind of type of person he crushes on is someone who is strong-hearted (we can conclude he likes the types who are resilient, brave or courageous people).
Kiyoshi definitely going to teach you how to play basketball, even the basics and you know he has amazing patience so he could even teach you the most basic things.
He might find it funny when you failed many shoots but he also feels slightly bad because he knows that you tried really hard so he would give you many chances.
Also, he would point out your mistakes and the reason why you fail the sport but in a polite way instead of blatantly saying it. he would just sugarcoat his words a little bit because he does not want to hurt you.
He would still be supportive if you are still interested in sport despite your lacking many skills or if you aren't interested in it. He's not a horrible teacher.
If you get sad because you feel not athletic like your boyfriend, Kiyoshi Tepeo. Don't be, expect some encouraging words from him as he said that you are perfect the way you are.
Also expect some hugs and pats in the back, he hates to see you get insecure or sad just because you feel you are not athletic and you're not a good match for him.

As the manager from Seirin, (Y/N) (L/N) would always help Riko, the coach from Seirin by preparing some drinks, and meals and helping with the team training regiment to increase their skills by talking with her and taking important notes of each member and watching them play basketball.
However, it piques your curiosity whenever you saw them playing because they were working very hard to beat the other team's rivals. You heard the group had beaten Shutoku as well as Kaijou before but looses after playing against Touou. You saw your boyfriend's amazing skill in basketball and it made you interested in basketball despite not knowing how to play basketball.
As the rest of the team members surrounded your classmate, Riko who also happened to be your closest friend. You were sitting there and writing down other team members' important points by writing down their weaknesses and their strengths so Riko could make a better training regimen.
Nevertheless, it did not stop you as (Y/N) put down the paper on top of the bench. Taking one of the balls inside of the cart in the corner of the gym room before starting to dribble the ball in (Y/N)'s hand. Going forward into one of the basketball rings, see how tall the post is and if you are able to put the ball inside of the ring.
No one paid attention except the familiar pairs of warm brown eyes that watch your every movement. He could not help but feel happy that his S/O are trying to play his favourite basketball despite she/he/they aren't athletic as the rest of the other basketball team members.
Despite Kiyoshi hides his laughter when he sees you failing to shoot the basketball. Kiyoshi also feels bad, knowing that you are trying your best to even get just one goal and this gives him a quick idea before standing up from the bench and walking up to (Y/N). Getting closer and closer until he was standing behind you.
The (H/C) haired women/men/nonbinary felt a presence behind you until your turned around to see your boyfriend standing behind you with a smile on your face. "Ah, (Y/N)-san. It seems you had a little bit of troubleshooting the balls into the rings. If you don't mind, I would be glad to teach you how to play," Kiyoshi offers, placing his hand on top of your shoulder.

Imayoshi Shoichi - Touou Academy
Tumblr media
I am contemplating writing Imayoshi because I could see he has his annoying and insensitive moments but I could see him also as a supportive boyfriend even if you are not athletic.
The reason I am saying this is because there would be a time he does makes fun of you. You shoot the balls into the net or into the basketball ring and miss? He would tease the hell out of you.
However, it depends because if you are unathletic because of your injury. he won't make fun of you but if you are just basically lazy and hates sports? He makes fun of you but is not as insensitive as Aomine.
"Oh? Is that how do you shoot your ball? That is interesting, I never see a player plays like that" and proceed to get hit by you after you hear his little comment and he chuckles at your reaction.
However, I do not believe that his type of partner must have the same athletic skill as him as we can see in Kuroko's character bible. He likes a kikubari (a considerate person).
If you are interested in sport but you are not athletic enough. He's not a horrible teacher either, he would teach you even from the basic things.
Also if you had an injury and you are not athletic but you are interested in it. He would be very understanding and I can see him as someone who has enormous patience when teaching you.
So in conclusion, he is in a between. He would be mean to you slightly, making fun of you but in a joking way, like Aomine does. But he would be understanding too, a little bit like Kiyoshi but in his own way.
Ⰶ║ ⵈ ⵈ ⵈ ⵈ ⵈ ⵈ║Ⰶ
It has been such a long time since you haven't played any sports after the incident that happens to you for a long time. The injury was severe that the doctor told (Y/N) to stop participating in heavy sports such as basketball, soccer, Volleyball, and other sports that could potentially be worsening the injuries on your knees.
This used to make you upset a lot, especially when you notice the way people stare at you with pity, it does frustrate poor (Y/N) as your skill in sports decreases and the only thing you could do is becoming Touou's manager just like your classmate, Momoi. She was your classmate that sometimes helps you out by taking notes on the rival's weaknesses before giving them to you.
Watching the other play basketball freely like a bird spread its wings, but those things made (Y/N) jealous and an idea popped into your mind. 'There's nothing wrong, right? If I'm playing as the others are resting? Maybe I should try' (Y/N) silently think to themselves/herself/himself as you take one of the balls that were rolling next to your feet.
A pair of slanted eyes sees you taking one of the basketballs, a little bit confused about why are you holding one of the balls until his confusion was replaced by a smirk. Watching your every movement from the start by starting to dribble on your hand, walking slowly before it turns into jogging and full-on sprinting until you were underneath the basketball ring and shooting the ball.
BAM!
It did not go inside at all, (Y/N) cheeks reddened, embarrassed that the ball doesn't go inside at all. Instead, it was thrown away and almost hit other players. "Oh? Is that how do you shoot your ball? That is interesting, I never see a player plays like that" A familiar yet annoying voice spoke up. Turning around, you could see your boyfriend with his usual annoying smirk, making fun of you after failing to get a point after throwing the basketball into the ring.
"Yeah, keep making fun of me until I smack that face of yours with the ball," you roll your eyes at him. "Ah, it's alright. (Y/N)-san. It's okay if you cannot play basketball. Here, let me help you. Follow my instruction on how to shoot," his smirk replaced with his genuine smile.

can you do scenarios for the GoM boys + Himuro falling asleep by or on female reader?
GoM Boys + Himuro - Nap Time
Akashi
It was hard to tell when something was wrong with Akashi. He held in his emotions very well. However, being around him so much, and so close, you could tell that something was off; even as he diligently worked on the student council paperwork.
“Akashi-kun, is something the matter?”
The red head looked up from his writing, slower than usual, but smiled. “No [Y/N]. Of course not.”
“I can tell that something is off with you. Please tell me what’s wrong.”
He seemed to hem & haw over your earnest entreaty before he turned back to his paperwork. “I’m just a little tired. Nothing to worry about.” It took a lot for Akashi to mention that. Any sign of weakness was something that his family, or father, would not tolerate. So, it showed how much he trusted you.
You weren’t surprised he was tired. The expectations put on him, as well as his academics, extra curriculars, and basketball, it was a wonder he wasn’t exhausted all the time. The stress must really be getting to him if he was willing to admit he was ‘a little tired’.
Setting down your pen, you sneak over to the door of the student council room and lock it. “Why don’t you lay down on the couch?” You offer. “No one can come in now. And I’ll keep watch for anyone lurking around in the halls.”
“I couldn’t possibly do that.” Akashi insisted. Acting as if the whole idea was absurd.
“Come on. It’s not like you’re the first student council member to crash out on it.” The implication that he was no different from his peers may Akashi furrow his brow. “I won’t tell anyone. Rest is important for recovery. I’ll work on this, and you can take a quick cat nap, and will never tell anyone your shameful secret of you being tired once in your life.”
He scoffed once at your joke, but seemed to concede. “Very well,” Akashi agreed as he loosened his uniform tie and headed for the couch, “as long as my secret is safe with you.”
“Always.”
This seemed to put him at ease and Akashi fell asleep to the sound of your pen against paper. Scribbling away while he rested in the afternoon sun.
Aomine
Aomine napping wasn’t anything new. He spent most of his school days up on the roof in his favorite nap spot, watching the clouds and laying in the sun like a cat. It was a wonder he didn’t get burned.
Climbing the stairs to the roof, you found him spread out on the concrete. Still unsure how that could possibly be comfortable. “Are you going to class at all today?”
The basketball star opened one eye up at you, then shrugged. “I’ll go to lunch.”
“Lunch isn’t a class, Aomine.” You remind him as you knelt beside him.
He stretched long and loud before he settled back into his nap position. “I’m gonna go to science here in a bit. We’re learning about cicadas.” You smirk at Aomine’s childish interest still in all things insect related.
He rolled over and placed his head in your lap. “But that’s not for another half an hour.”
“Hey! I’m not a pillow! And unlike you I have to go to class.”
“If you did you wouldn’t be up here.” He cleverly remarked. You growl a little and tempted to just stand up and let his big, dumb head smack against the pavement.
Aomine’s hand reached back to touch your leg. Not in a gropey way, but in a calm, affectionate, soft kind of way. “Stay with me.”
His words make your heart weak. Looking at his peaceful face, and the gentle way he spoke only to you. Your resolve cracked instantly. “Fine. But we’re going to class at the bell.”
Aomine smirked in his sleep and continued to nap. Resting in your lap with the cool breeze and warm sun. You wish you had brought a book.
Kise
It was late at night when Kise texted you and said he was finally finished with his shoot. The two of you were supposed to meet up for a date, after his modeling gig, but it had run very late. You were willing to let it go, but Kise insisted that you had made plans and were going to stick with them.
“Hey [Y/N]-cchi.” He greeted at the door in his signature way, but with much less enthusiasm.
“Kise you look exhausted.” You tell him honestly, but still let him in and close the door. “I told you we could reschedule. You didn’t have to come all the way over here.”
“No, no. It’s fine.” He insisted as he took off his shoes. “The shoot was really hard, but I felt bad for bailing on you because of work. Do you still want to go out? There’s some after hours clubs I could probably get us into.”
“No thanks.” Aside from the fact that Kise clearly looked tired, you were already in your pjs and didn’t want to get dressed again. “Why don’t we just relax and watch a movie. Did you even eat anything while you were on set?”
“Oh, you know models.” He joked as he followed you down the hall toward the living room on autopilot. “Nothing but coffee and mineral water.”
You tell Kise to sit down on the couch and you would make him something. Surely you had enough stuff in your fridge to make him a sandwich. Coming back into the living room you saw Kise on the couch with his head tipped back on the sofa, asleep. You smile a little as you appreciated the gesture of him wanting to make time for you, but it was clear he was working himself hard to keep up with school, basketball, modeling, and you. Kise was a nice guy. He wanted to make people happy; even sometimes at the expense of himself.
You set the snacks down and pull out a blanket to lay over him. Kise roused a little, but more to adjust to a more comfortable position. His head lulling to the side.
You smile again and curl up next to Kise, who immediately wrapped his arm around you in his sleep. It may not have been the date Kise had wanted with you, but it was still nice to spend time together. Even if you were both asleep for it.
Kuroko
“Kuroko….Kuroko….KUROKO!”
The blue haired boy jumped awake in alarm; or as alarmed as Kuroko could get. He looked at you in surprise as you scrunched your mouth and told him, “You were asleep.”
“Oh. Was I?” He asked rubbing his eyes.
“How could you not know?”
“Well, sometimes when I stay up late reading, I just nod off for a few minutes and wake back up. My presence is so low most people don’t seem to notice.”
“And you don’t walk into walls or anything?” You ask curiously. More interested in the phenomenon than irritated now.
Kuroko shrugged. “Not really. If I do, I’m not moving that fast. So I just bump into it, wake up, and keep going.”
“What if you walk off a bridge or something?!”
“I haven’t done that yet either. So I guess it’s ok.”
You watch Kuroko as you continue to walk to school. Staring at his face until his eyes suddenly slide closed and he was practically sleepwalking the rest of the way to school. He was right. No one really seemed to notice and subconsciously moved out of his way as he moved through the morning bustle. Overall it seemed his body had the muscle memory to get him there unharmed, which was really interesting.
When you came to the crosswalk you reached out and grabbed Kuroko’s hand to hold it. He woke back up, blinked a few times, then looked down at your hands before looking up at you. “I’d like to make sure you don’t walk into traffic.” He smiled and squeezed your hand.
You walk the rest of the way to school, Kuroko in and out of sleep, before you both make it to the gate and he seemed ready for the day. “Thank you for keeping me safe [Y/N].” He told you. Squeezing your hand one last time before you part ways toward your separate classes.
Midorima
His head bobbed yet again as he stared at the textbook before it popped up. Midorima glared at the pages, as if their lack of interesting facts was the problem, and tried to refocus again.
“Why don’t we take a little break?” You suggest. Setting your own book down.
“No.” Midorima said emphatically. “We need to get this done before the next cram school.”
With graduation, and future plans for college fast approaching, you had both signed up for the same cram school. A very advanced, competitive cram school that boasted the highest acceptance rate into top universities. But it wasn’t only that the program was competitive, the students were. And though he tried to hide it Midorima was fiercely competitive.
“Midorima-kun, it’s ok. It was just a fluke. You don’t have to get first place for every practice exam. It’s just practice. Second is fine as well.” His hands gripped the pages of the textbook fiercely. Clearly, he did not agree. You sigh and close your book. “You know, studies show that a brain without enough REM sleep can not only not process information, but actually loose retention of pre-existing information in an effort to prioritize necessary function in the absence of rest.”
“Where did you read that from?”
“The Harvard Medical Journal.”
He stopped scanning the page and looked up at you over his glasses. Clearly only seeing reason now that someone with credentials he hadn’t even met had made the argument. “Fine. 20 minutes, then we go back to studying.”
You smile and come around to the other side of the table by Midorima. He seemed uncomfortable resting beside you, at first. But clearly he was so tired that that didn’t matter and was out very quickly after he closed his eyes. Not even bothering to take off his glasses.
You reset the alarm for an additional 20 minutes to let him rest longer. He was a little upset at the loss of nearly a full precious hour when he woke up, but did look more refreshed, and tackled the books with a newfound gusto.
Murasakibara
“[Y/N]-cchi….this movie is boring….”
“But you picked it?” You remind him as Murasakibara stretched out on the couch; taking up most of is with his size.
“I know, but it’s boring now.” He repeated. “Plus we’re out of snacks.”
“Is that why you’re bored?” You ask, not mentioning that you barely got any of the popcorn or candy you’d brought in. “Because you don’t have any snacks? I can pause and we get you some more.”
“No.” He replied. Although he clearly wasn’t responding to your question. “I’m comfy here now.” His head was in your lap, while the rest of was half covered with a blanket. Which, you had to admit, did look pretty comfortable.
“Murasaki-kun, you’re not going to fall asleep are you? I didn’t mention it earlier, but I kind of have to go to the bathroom and…” Your comments were cut off by a loud snore. Murasakibara clearly already asleep in your lap.
+Himuro
“Annnnd now I’m stuck.”
Himuro chuckled at your misfortune. “Sorry [Y/N]. I could try to move him if you want.”
“No…don’t wake him…” You’d seen Murasakibara woken up from a nap, and it was not pretty.
“Can you really blame him though? I’m sure your pretty comfy.”
“Oh yeah,” you droll back sarcastically, “just a big snuggly fluff ball over here.”
He chuckled again and shifted around under the blanket. “Hmm…I think so.”
“Not you too Himuro!” You hiss, trying not to wake Murasakibara, as he rested his head on your other shoulder.
“I’m not. I’m not.” Himuro insisted. “I’m just kidding around. I have a little more self-control than Murasakibara.” Even as he said that his eyes slid closed, and his words came out slower. Another few breaths and he was asleep. Quietly snoring on your shoulder, while Murasakibara snored loudly near your ear.
Yep….you were really stuck now.
