You are not ready for the epiphany I’ve just had.

Regarding this post about how Sugishita Kyotaro from Wind Breaker being Baji coded; while Yes, he checks most of the boxes to earn this title… it’s not entirely accurate.

Sugishita is quite low energy when he’s not riled up and ready to fight. Often spoting a tired expression and slumped posture.

Plus; he’s tall, 6’3” and I’m sorry fellow Baji girlies, but our mans is … what, 5’8” at best? 😔

So it just occurred to me… Sugishita is not only very Baji, but also Murasakibara adjacent.

Just having a silly little thought but who would potentially be interested in a knb week or month in 2023? In case you don’t know how it looks/what it is, just visit the kurobasweek blog, we organized a knb week in 2016 and 2017 (I’m one of the admins). It was fun, we had one prompt per day (it wasn’t mandatory to participate every day/do every prompt ofc!) and we posted original works (gifs, graphics, fics, art or videos) related to the prompts.

Midorima arrived home, eager to put your number in his phone contacts. He had decided to leave his phone home for the day, to resist the temptation of texting you immediately and potentially creeping you out. After adding you, he decided to send a simple, calm text. 'Hey, y/n-senpai. This is Midorima, nandayo. Did you arrive home safely?'

Simple enough, he reasoned. It was at that exact moment when Shinju came running into his room. "Nii-chan I'm home! Are mom and dad still out?" He looked at his little sister, with her short green ponytails and big green eyes framed by similarly beautiful lashes as his own- one could definitely see the resemblance. He was a couple of years older, Shinju still being an elementary schooler herself. Not a lot of people knew, but Midorima adored the shit out of his baby sister. Often he looked at her and wondered if he would someday have a daughter as cute as her. "I fear they are, nandayo." Shinju pouted before she decided to walk out of his room, saying, "I'm going to crack the cookie jar. Don't tell mom or dad." Midorima shook his head, "I won't." Which was a fact, because Midorima knew his parents would know the culprit immediately. They weren't that stupid. It was then, when his phone buzzed with a text from you. He opened it nervously.

'Hi Midorima, thank you for asking. I did. And, did Oh Asa make sure you did too?'

Midorima couldn't help but omit a chuckle. How witty but thoughtful. He wondered how he should respond, he honestly wanted to wrap you around his fingers like his fingertape with an equally playful but considerate message. Unfortunately, Midorima sucked at flirting, he had enough self-awareness to know that. He pursed his lips in thought and wondered if Shinju's answer would be too immature if he asked her what she considered smooth talking. Midorima shook off the thought, she still dressed like a Claire's catalogus model. Should he seriously swallow his pride and ask Takao for some advice? NO! He wondered if you were the type who expected a response immediately and were getting impatient. God, he was really driving himself crazy. Trying to keep his cool, he decided to text back;

'It did nandayo. Speaking of which, did my lucky item brought you some fortune?'

He wondered if it was a good message and he heard his parents coming home in the distance, Shinju's little feet rushing past his room. He decided to greet them before he checked his phone once more. You had texted him back already.

'Fortune no. Comfort yes. It's really cute, thank you for letting me have it.'

Midorima smiled at his phone, feeling warm at the thought his stuffed jellyfish brought you some comfort amidst your friendship breakup. He wondered how the people at school would respond knowing the sharp-tongued 'streetrat' melted at cute stuff like a typical girl. People seemed to think so much things about you because of the enviroment you had grown up, like you weren't just a girl like any other at heart. And so, he texted well into the evening with you, getting to know each other without his usual reservations, your trust issues and school life keeping you apart. He fell asleep even more smitten then he had woken up.
