I love all the modern au DPS fics guys, I really do, but when is this fandom gonna stop being cowards and write a fantasy AU where the DPS is attempting to throw over the tyrant king - Mr. Perry - with the mysterious boy with a far too personal vendetta against him - Neil - in which hijinks ensue? What if. what if okay. instead of going to the dps meeting where charlie brings girls and just pulls a Lot of stunts and anderperry give each other soft looks while hes reading a romantic poem. ginny had invited neil to her brothers party and said he could bring a friend so he brought todd. uhh back in the cave basically the same shit goes down. its fucken weird that basically half of them are missing but maybe thats why charlie decided to bring girls. someone catches neil (and todd and knox) up on all of the Stunts He Pulled the next day. charlie gets a stern talking to from neil over the whole demanding girls be admitted to welton article thing putting the dps at risk. but back to the party. neil and todd both maybe recognize kids from henley hall or balincrest or elsewhere respectively, and neils more chill talking to strangers but he doesnt mind todd following him around the whole night. anyway. at some point they Both get overwhelmed and/or bored bc neither wants to drink much so they find an empty room or quiet porch or whatever to just chill. they talk a bit but for some reason its Tense. maybe theyre both sitting on the edge of a bed or on the floor w their backs to the wall closer than they necessarily need to be or whatever, and one catches the other looking at him in the way they do in the cave scene. instead of just smiling back for a second then looking down all bashful he holds the eye contact, and leans forward and kisses him. and, yk, they make out a while. they get broken out of it when they hear commotion back where everyone is, so they take a minute to compose themselves before going out to see knox on the ground, bleeding, a crowd around him. jesus christ wtf happened etc etc they leave and knox catches them up, and theyre quietly like .... yeah deserved. he asks where they disappeared to and theyre like um. uh. nowhere. got overwhelmed, bored, you know. hung out alone for a while. knox is like. ... mhm. blah blah movie resumes as normal but todd & neil are like yo knox was being a creep to chris we're NOT gonna let him pursue her anymore. so now anderperry is the main romance plot. i dont know exactly what that entails so. the end<3
