Its really a shame that reincarnation was used to pull a half assed happy ending for the kny characters instead of as a way to further the themes of their specific narratives

Like, i would have killed to see it being used as a way to emphasize the tragedy of these guys, that their previous life was so fundamentally trapped within their own tale they could not escape it in their next life no matter how far they ran or how hard they tried, all without even remembering a single thing about it

Hello. I just read notice that Tengen’s brother the sound pillar did mention but from databook, and anime give brief look what his brother look like both flashbacks and end credit.

I notice that Tengen had eight sibling that would make 9 sibling.

However I notice in that Tenma (his Descendant) have seven sibling that would make 8 sibling in total in extra pages.

Do you think Tengen’s brother that seen anime mean didn’t rebirths in modern era. What happen said brother. Do you think might explore in boardcast special or gaiden stories?

If we indeed think of the Chapter 205 characters as reincarnations as opposed to merely descendants, then that does make a lot of sense for Tenma's siblings to Tengen's siblings whom he can reunite with! That is indeed a curious difference in number. It leads me to think that Brother #2 has performed enough evil acts in his life that according to the rules of the KnY universe, he's probably stuck in hell.

While we did also see Brother #2 in Chapter 87 of the manga, unless KnY gets green-lit for some higher stakes spins-offs, I don't think we can expect to see more canon material of him. He's an important enough character to Tengen and powerful enough to be a major threat that he'd need to be featured in a spin-off that has enough length to work with his appearance properly. While I had really hoped we'd get an Uzui Gaiden like the Tomioka & Rengoku ones, since it didn't happen prior Yuukaku-hen airing to drum up excitement for me, I don't see it very likely to happen. ;_; Since Brother #2's story is very open-ended it would be fun to see more canon material, but I think this is probably going to be a job for the fanwork community.

Wakui should've done more with the bonten arc. Instead of skipping 3 months, he should've put in how Michi's life is in that timeline with Bonten working behind the scenes.

It prob would've gained the manga more popularity and satisfied readers.

While I´m on your side on this, because I really wanted to know more about how the fuck bonten even got a) created b) to the top this fast and c) why a bowling alley, it would have lead us on a little I think. That this is the final arc and not the one after that.

But yeah, how long was the bonten arc exactly?

it started with chapter 189 and ended with chapter 206, minus this said chapter and the one before, 205, because this ones were Hanma´s and Sanzu´s side stories and no real chapters that were significant to the plot.

I had a little too much faith in the current arc and actually hoped that we might get a little more insight on KMG and their relationship but to be honest, the last two arcs feel a little rushed in general.

Especially Takemichi´s inner conflict to involve his friends went from “never will I ever do that” to “lol yes besties let´s kill ourselves” in one fucking chapter -like excuse me are you bipolar or something?

I also hope we at least get to know who this funky dude was. At least give us that Wakui - you can´t just make an arc this interesting and then leave it in your closet to die.

But for real now, while you are right anon, I´m not sure about the whole popularity part because it´s one of the last arcs and I think the rising popularity will come when we get the second season of the anime, like it happend with KNY, jujutsu Kaisen and bnha too. Most of the time the anime hypes the Manga up more, while it´s already finished or near the end.

Still, seeing Takemichi searching for Bonten with Kazutora would have been awesome, getting to see more about future Kazutora and the whole Crew all grown up is just something I wished for since the black dragon arc.

Considering the fact that the kny anime left off at chapter 97 and the manga has 205 chapters in total (98 remaining) I'll assume that we'll be expecting 2 or even 3 more seasons. I personally believe the anime will come to an end in 2024-5
