it’s been two years since sanemi saved you from a demon. afterwards, you both spent as much time with each other as possible, causing an undeniable hint of romance.

however, living amongst the town was almost impossible for you due to how many demons crawl around in the evening. you were afraid to stay here.

you decided to move far away without telling sanemi, afraid you would ruin your friendship. once he knew, he was heartbroken. there was one thing he wanted to tell you.

visiting your friend in your hometown, you run into sanemi..

the familiar breeze of the coldness provides a refreshing feeling as you walk closer towards your friend’s home.

“welcome home.”

looking around you, the same people, stores, and restaurants were the same. this was a small town after all.

as much as you were looking forward to seeing your friend, the worry you had was still there.

two years ago, you were on your way home from finding rocks and stones to make jewelry out of. you were aware of your surroundings, but didn’t notice the demon that watched you from far away.

before you could enter your home, the demon came out of the shadows and tackled you to the ground. the demon pinned you down, which caused you to feel weak as you were no match for this one.

you could still smell the demon, you could still hear the noises the demon made. you had no experience in how to handle a demon, that’s what the demon slayer corps was for.

you were hopeless.. until..

a tall man with white hair, scars covering his entire body, and a unique sword, pulled you away from the demon, all of this happening so fast.

as you try to process what’s happening in front of you, the demon had vanished. you look in front of you, seeing the man that saved you.

who is he?

since that evening, you and sanemi have become closer. you were not allowed to visit the demon slayer corps so sanemi always visited your home.

often, he could come to your house in terrible condition. you took care of him, as you cleaned his wounds and provided him with first aid.

sanemi never showed his impatient and reckless side with you. he was patient, calm, and smiled more when he was by your side.

while you spent most of your time alone, sanemi kept you company. when he was too far from the demon slayer corps, he spent the evening at your house. also, he sent you letters whenever he was on missions.

as much as you loved sanemi’s presence, and sanemi loved yours, you still felt overwhelmed at home after running into that demon.

with that being said, you decided to move away. at first, it was a hard decision. but in the end, you knew it was for the best.

you decided to not tell sanemi, as it would hurt you to see him so devastated because for the first time in so long.. sanemi felt happiness.

while you knew sanemi was on a mission, you wrote him a letter. explaining to him your pain, knowing that it wouldn’t do you any good to stay there.

you moved away a week later, staying with a close relative of yours. you didn’t tell sanemi where you were moving to. he would move on, right? you both eventually broke contact.

now, you were back home. your friend had prepared a bedroom for you while you were staying here for the entire week.

you and your friend talked for hours, catching up on conversations that you missed.

as the afternoon was approaching, you decided to take a walk while your friend went to work.

the flowers blossomed, the birds chirped, the loud yet comfortable silence filled your ears, it relaxed you.

you turned the corner, seeing a familiar face with white hair. he was with another man, with long black hair and a snake wrapped around him.

you gasped, stepping back when you realize who was in front of you. before he could see you, you ran behind a tree, still surprised at who you saw.

sanemi.

after a few minutes, you stepped away from behind the tree and continued your walk. suddenly, you were stopped by that man you saw earlier with the snake.

he was rather small, but still had a very intimidating presence.

“why can’t you people listen? we said to stay inside your homes.”

as you were confused, you asked him, “what’s going on?”

he sighed, “i cannot share that information, but just know we were asked to do this. so, you shouldn��t be roaming around alone.”

before you can continue the answer, sanemi walked up behind the man with the snake. you looked down, very flustered yet nervous, to see him again.

you looked up, seeing sanemi. his beautiful features distracted you from reality. he approached you, with a serious look on his face.

“sanemi i-“

“come with us, it’s not safe out here.” sanemi tells you.

now that you realized that the town was empty, perhaps, demons walk around the area in the evening. the sun was almost setting, which means they’ll be out soon.

the memory of that demon appeared in your mind. tears formed in your eyes, but they stopped as soon as you felt sanemi interlock his fingers with yours.

“don’t worry.” sanemi whispers to you.

sanemi knew about the difficult time you were having after the encounter with that demon. he learned how to comfort you. he knew about your emotions.

you trusted him, you followed him along with the man with the snake, which you learned that his name is obanai.

later on, you found out that sanemi and obanai were on a mission and was told to tell people from different towns to stay inside.

one of the demons, can multiply, which causes the demon to be in multiple places at once.

you stayed with sanemi, as he provided you with a comfortable bed and clothes that mitsuri let you borrow from her.

there was silence between you and sanemi, but you decided to break it. there was so much you wanted to tell him.

“sanemi, i’m so sorry.”

“for what?”

again, you were shocked by his answer. you expected him to be upset and possibly ignore you. after all, you were only here because he was required to make sure everyone wasn’t outside.

but after all, sanemi cares for you.

“i know i should’ve told you that i moved. i should’ve said goodbye in person. i just.. i didn’t want to disappoint you. i didn’t want to bother you with my problems.”

you were looking down at your lap, not wanting to make eye contact with him.

“doll, look at me.”

as sanemi asked you to look at him, you did. a tear slipped down your cheek as you did so.

he cupped your face, wiping your tear with his thumb.

“you did nothing wrong. i completely understand.“

your heart skipped a beat, being so close to sanemi, you’ve had a crush on him for so long.

you placed your hand on top of his.

he’s so warm..

before you could speak to thank him for his kind words, what he said next caused your heart to pound.

“i love you.”

you pulled him into a hug, his warm embrace surrounded you. all of your worries disappeared whenever you were with sanemi.

“i’ve been wanting to tell you that for so long. you really.. make this cruel world so much better, y/n.”

pulling away from the hug, you placed your lips onto his, kissing him passionately.

his hands rested on your waist, as your arms were around his shoulders.

this moment was unreal. something that you both waited for.

after the kiss, you looked into sanemi’s eyes, “i love you too. thank you sanemi, for being my happiness.”

he pulled you onto his lap, resting his chin on your shoulder as his arms stayed around your waist.

“i promise y/n, i’ll protect you.”

Muzan

Muzan never has experienced a single ounce of affection in his life.

So when you enter the picture and you’re all over him, all up in his personal space, basically attached to his hip, Muzan detests it.

He despises it in the beginning, wanting nothing to do with you. Views clingy people as pathetic and sees affection has a weakness.

It destroys his ego whenever you make him go all soft for you so for that he avoids you.

But if you’re close enough with him he’ll allow it.

If he allows it that just means he likes it.

Especially loves it when you comfort him after he’s had a bad day. (Which is like everyday because he cannot seek out that damn blue spider lily)

Complains about it as you play with his hair or hood him in your arms.

You’re always the one initiating cuddle sessions.

But on the days you’re not in a good mood, Muzan will surprisingly hold you without you having to ask.

Isn’t opposed to holding you whatsoever.

He knows you’re super clingy but make sure you steer away from him when he’s in a bad mood.

If you continuously cling to him whenever he’s pissed off this man will not tolerate it.

Might break your hand if you try to touch him and will not feel bad until later when he’s calmed down.

On any other day, he couldn’t care less if you cling to him.

Will bring you to uppermoon meetings because he hates leaving you alone in the house anyway.

You accompany him to the meetings while he chastises his upper-ranked demons.

You’re either on his lap during these meetings or standing right next to him.

The other demons are just flabbergasted on how you’re that close to him.

Kokushibo doesn’t care that much, Douma just think it’s amusing, Akaza is beyond confused, Hantengu is scared, Gyokko prolly says something about it and in return gets decapitated for speaking lowly of you and Daki and Gyutaro envy you. Especially Daki. 💀💀

Kokushibo

Alright, Koku here doesn’t exactly hate it and he isn’t even against it, he just isn’t all that used to it!

So when you approach him and you’re all over him, kissing him, playing with his hair and just never leaving him he is taken aback.

Is also semi-surprised that you aren’t scared of him since he’s the most powerful upper-ranked.

Like, are you not petrified, hello??

Koku also gets a tiny bit flustered as first with how physically affectionate you are all the time.

Then again he isn’t used to it so he blushes and feels his body warm up by your charming presence.

However, in due time his flustered personality vanishes and he opens up more to you.

I feel like he has some trust issues so he’s hesitant when trusting you until he realizes how amazing you are.

He doesn’t really express his emotions but deep down he’s always shocked how a sweet, innocent creature like you isn’t scared of him considering your bitter sweet personality.

Lowkey loves it when you baby him.

Kokushibo adores being with you but i’m afraid you cannot tag along with him when he has to intend the meetings.

You’ll get killed in spot, even if he’s against it.

If you were a demon, it would be different.

Kokushibo desires to be with you forever, wants you to be by his side for all eternity and offers to turn you into a demon.

All though, he’s lowkey paranoid that if you become a demon you’ll adorable clingy personality will disappear.

Why must life be so hard?

Akaza

Like Kokushibo, he isn’t used to it but does warm up to your behavior rather quickly and learns to adapt to it.

Ends up loving it, obviously. Out of all the uppermoon demons he probably the most human-like. Your clingy personality feels oddly nostalgic to him.. (ifykyk)

Akaza finds you very strange sometimes but that’s only because he’s never met a human like you before! Like how are you so touchy and clingy? He’s killed hundreds of people yet you stare at him with so much love glistening in your gaze.

It confuses him but whatever.

Akaza isn’t as clingy as you are but as y’all’s lovely relationship progresses he finds himself wanting to be with you all the time.

Akaza always has his hands all over you, the same way you do to him!

Usually he’s in a very bad mood when Muzan treats him like shit or when Douma teases him.

Immediately comes home to you, seeking your comfort and warm touch.

Of course you reciprocate and smother him in kisses or hugs.

I like to think Akaza gets REALLY flustered if you pepper his face in kisses. Like it makes his face flush immediately and he giggles.

You think it’s fucking adorable so you keep in mind to do that on the days he’s upset.

You hold Akaza in your arms as he vents to you about whatever made him mad.

Akaza wishes more than anything he could bring you along to the uppermoon meetings but knows the consequences so unfortunately you can’t attend them with him:(

The very moment he returns from them you’re all up in his business.

You legitimately just pounce into his arms as soon as the door opens, scaring him in the process.

Akaza makes sure to satisfy your clingy self to make up for him being gone for so long. He makes sure to spend all his time with you for the rest of the night.

Kokushibo Dating Headcannons

Wordcount: 354 words

Kokushibo is a little on the quiet side, but you don't have to be quiet to date him. You can be loud or relaxed, it doesn't matter to him.

Kokushibo doesn't care about looks at all; he's into personality. He likes his partner's thought process and their values (whether they're different to his or not, he still finds it fascinating).

Kokushibo wants to show you affection, he's just clueless on how to. His hugs and kisses (even hand-holding) is a little awkward so he lets you take the lead).

Kokushibo is surprisingly a jealous lover. He doesn't quite care about low-leveled demons or average humans, but any Demon Slayers or powerful demons you're friends with gets him jealous. He's afraid you'll leave him for someone stronger than him or someone who can better understand affectionate gestures. He might eat the demon(s) who got him jealous and absorb their strength.

Kokushibo likes it when you're both existing in each other's space doing your own separate things. The tranquility of the moment is unlike any other and it's one of his favorite memories to look back on in his hundreds of years of life.

Kokushibo's love languages are spending time and buying gifts for you. He likes getting you hair ornaments and hand-held fans, sometimes a kimono if one catches his eye.

Kokushibo might entertain the idea of training you to defend yourself (whether you're a human or demon, it doesn't matter). He decides that he won't and he'll just be around you all the time to protect you.

Kokushibo is the definition of scary dog privileges. His silence and appearance is intimidating to everyone, but he's very gentle and thoughtful towards you.

Kokushibo remembers everything you say. Whether it's talking about your favorite food or what someone said, he'll remember it (he even remembers when you told him you tripped a few months ago).

Kokushibo might give you a little light show with his Moon Breathing if you ask (beg) him enough.
