My father was never impressed with my photography. I don't think he understood why I was spending me money on film and chemicals. When he saw my Sheriff Street pics he ask me why are you photographing down there, that place is a dump, he said. I brushed if off. I didn't want to explain. I was on a different planet when it came to taking pictures. Some of the classmates wanted to be accountants. I have nothing against accountants but I did not want to be one. I felt the pull of the image.
