By the way, contrary to popular belief that KKHTA is just meme gore for the sake of gore, I have to disagree. KKHTA has a pretty good plot and a message of "those who turn a blind eye to the fucked up things going on around them are partly guilty of it". Like, there's a reason it's called Koishi Komeiji Heart Throbbing Adventure and at least half the episodes are about anyone but her. Koishi is an escapist and her entire arc was about keeping her eyes open to reality and not retreating into the world of the subconscious in any obscure situation. That's why she's passive for most of the story, and that's why her plot parallel in this case is Yukari Yakumo, who, despite trying to stop the madness and condemning Koishi for her inaction, also lost hope in the end (not using the antidote Kaguya tried to give her). In short KKHTA is a story about ordinary people (or yokais in this case) during the apocalypse and how there were a whole bunch of ways to stop the clusterfuck, but we failed as usual
