-They all have,,, such a huge sweet tooth,, like they’re always stocked up on sweets bc you never know when you’ll get the urge to eat 7 Twix’s-

-They each have their own movie night with each other!

- On the first Saturday of every month Kanade and Iroha watch whatever anime’s been on their watch list

-On the second Saturday Kanade and Kokoro watch every murder documentary they can find, and no new ones have been released they’ll just rewatch buzzfeed unsolved for the 17th time ! Iroha usually hides in the room though bc babey doesn’t do well with murder-

-On the third Saturday Iroha and Kokoro spend all day watching cute documentaries about nature and those kinds about how certain shows/products are made! It’s surprisingly interesting, which Kokoro didn’t expect in all honesty-

-And on the final Saturday, they’ll all gather and watch each of their favorite movies, that way they can share what they love with the people they love !!

-Iroha plays video games from time to time, and she 100% made Kanade play Misao with her because she was scared. Kanade then in turn fell in love with Aki and started making Kokoro play it with them so she could see how epic Aki was

-Iroha always sleeps in the middle! Kanade and Kokoro both like holding things in their sleep, so why not hold your gf?

-Kanade and Kokoro are both so smart,, anytime they solve something super quick Iroha just kinda :0 <3 bc she loves her gfs sm but also she’s not the brightest so she didn’t understand any of it-

-Paintings !! Iroha loves painting her gfs, in fact Kanade always carries a small painting Iroha made of all three of them around to be like ‘I’m dating the two most perfect gals in the world’ anytime someone asks if she’s single

-Kanade’s lowkey overprotective, but it doesn’t bother anyone since they all rarely leave the house-

-When Kanade performs somewhere, she always deserves the best seats for her gfs (plus Setsuka bc of Hibiki) and they always cheer her on !!

-They’re always so open about their feelings?? Obviously Iroha’s always been open about it but once Kanade and Kokoro warmed up to the idea, they practically became open books as well !

-Kanade’s probably the most reckless of the three, but she’s kept in check by her need to make sure her gfs’re safe!

-Iroha loves doing their hair ! She’s not necessarily the best at it, but they’ll still wear it like that for the rest of the day because they love it sm anyway

-Kokoro naps a lot, so her sleep schedules basically nonexistent- doesn’t stop her from laying down with her gfs at night once she’s finished whatever she was working on though !

-None of them’s know how to cook- I mean technically Kanade can cook eggs but that’s about it- anything more than toast is gonna get burned, which none of them are a fan

@OFLEGENDS DECLARED: 😘 (KAORU WANTS TO SMOOCH KOKORO!!!) INTERNATIONAL KISS DAY (ACCEPTING JULY 6TH)

OH WOW! It seems that today really is her lucky day if the sight of her very princely girlfriend's purple hair from across the street is any indication of that! While every day was a happy day for Kokoro, she couldn't deny that a day with Kaoru was extra happy and special! It just made her want to jump around with joy!

"KAORU!" Her voice is loud and bubbly, eyes wide and smile equally so, her entire being shining bright enough to put the sun to shame. Without any hesitation, she runs across the street, leaping and bounding over cars, dodging pedestrians left and right just so that she can be with her lovely girlfriend. Truly, if it weren't for her incredibly hyperactive speed and impressive acrobatic abilities, she would have been run over by a car.

Finally, she manages to stop in front of Kaoru, not even having broken a sweat, hands immediately reaching out to squish the taller girl's cheeks as she steps onto her tip-toes, pressing their lips together in a very cute but childish kiss.

"Kaoru! I found you!"

Episode 12 - The Little Mermaid

Let’s Talk About JSHK Anime #3

Warning: Manga spoilers for The Little Mermaid arc, The Clock Keeper arc, and chapter 64!!! (just a bit, skip point no. 5, 6, and 10 if you don’t want to get spoiled) Also … this ended up way longer than I intended.

Well that was one heck of a feels trip. It’s probably my new favorite episode, just because everyone is here being wholesome lmao.

This is mostly hananene meta I ain’t even gonna lie.

Before we begin, shout out to Black Canyon, our newest anime cutie pie. Just look at him, folks. Just chilling with his sunflower seed.

He has no idea the kind of life his owner leads.

I said before that the best part of episode 12 is how it made Daydream worse, so now I’m gonna ramble about it.

“Maybe different species can’t understand each other after all.”

“Maybe it would be better if I were an apparition too.”

This is my favorite part of the episode. And no, not in the sense that I want Nene to die just so that she and Hanako can be together. But because of how Lerche actually explored deeper what was said only once in the manga.

Well, both in the manga and anime Nene ended up accepting the mermaid’s blood because of her desire to be popular, but the anime decided to revisit what she said earlier in the episode.

Not only did that make her decision kinda less selfish, it’s also just … sad. Thinking that your friend, someone you really cared about, doesn’t trust you enough to tell you things about themselves, to the point where you’re willing to go to such lengths as turning into an apparition just to understand them.

And if you think about it, isn’t this part of her true wish? To have her feelings be reciprocated? Man I just realized that as I wrote this and I am mindblown.

She thought she finally got her wish with Hanako. I mean, he said it himself in the first ep (”You wanted someone, anyone, to return your feelings, right? And as far as you’re concerned, sharing a bond with someone is the same thing, right?”). So it must’ve hit her really hard when she thought he didn’t trust her. Especially with all the wrong ideas the fishes were feeding her mind.

Then we got this little flashback. At first I was like, “Girl, you really be thinking that he doesn’t care about you while recalling the moment he apologized to you and hugged you? Are you insane?”

But after some thinking of my own, it occurred to me. Maybe she was too used to having her feelings not reciprocated, she couldn’t believe it when someone finally did. Not to mention Hanako did kinda trick her with his fake confession a while back (heh, he’s not the only one with trust issues, eh?). And that just made the entire thing even sadder.

So when Nene said, “But I thought, if I were an apparition like you, I could get closer to you. Then, maybe I’d be able to understand you, Hanako-kun. Although I know I probably don’t mean anything to you.”

That was a harsh wake up call for Hanako.

(Btw even more full circle, Hanako brought up Nene’s wish to become human again in the first episode. Nice.)

So. We got one daikon girl who’s afraid of not having her feelings reciprocated, and one ghost boy who’s afraid that daikon girl wouldn’t be his friend anymore if she knew about his past.

While in actuality, said daikon girl already decided she wanted to and would be his friend no matter what, and ghost boy had grown to care about her more than he thought he would.

He heard what she said to Tsuchigomori. He knew all about regret, too. I mean, honestly, I think if she had said no, he’d let her walk away right then and there, no questions asked. But she didn’t.

Nene’s wish finally came true here. And the best part? It wasn’t the work of magic or curses. Just Hanako finally shoving his fear aside, offering himself as he was, and letting her decide.

And she still chose to be with him.

Heh. Lemme just. Sob for a bit.

Is my hananene trash brain reading too much into this? Idk. Maybe.

So props to the production team for managing to add even more weight to this arc. Which, they had to, since it’s the season finale and all. But I love what they did!

Onto my commentaries!

1. The KouNene

Good shit. She was worried about him but he didn’t want her to worry so he just smiled it off? These two are precious. Thought they were gonna interact. Sadly not. Buuuut! (see point 12)

2. Hanako’s classroom visit

He. Is. So. Adorable. Someone please take his babey license away he’s too dangerous.

Hanako’s classroom visit is like my absolute favorite clingy Hanako moment, so I’m really happy I get to see it this season. Ugh. My kokoro. Hugging her from behind, that semi confession vibe … Smooth mf.

The Mokke brushing Nene’s hair!!! The radish hairdo tho lmao.

On a sidenote, as a history nerd I appreciate that they’re actually putting lessons in the background. And the teacher talked about Apollo 11 again??? While my boy was in the room? That ish both hurt and pleased me.

3. The Clock Keeper rumor drop

Heeeeeehhhhh? What’s thiiiiiissss?

4. This freaking thing

*flips table* Darn production team been knew I’m hananene trash how dare they do this to me.

And lookie here there’s Kodama chilling.

5. Fishies! (!!!manga spoiler for The Little Mermaid arc!!!)

Pufferfish didn’t die. Well, good for him. Also I can’t believe they just call the other fish ‘yeah yeah’ lmao what the freak. Has it always been like that in the manga?

6. AOI AND AKANE (!!!spoilers for chapter 64!!!)

I swear I did not intend this numbering coincidence.

*claps* Boi. Nene asking Aoi about cutting ties with someone she’s interested in? And then Akane just swooped in and say he’d rather cut his head off than cut ties with Aoi? What about getting impaled, huh, boy? Would that do?

The not-so-subtle call out to these two pairs’ parallel? BOI.

7. Nene and Yako

These two just chilling together having girl talk, and Yako let Nene pet her? That’s some adorable shit right there. Admit it Yako you like her.

Yako also be really hitting home with what she said. It was extra heavy coming from her, considering what happened to her and Misaki. Boiiiiii.

8. Tsuchigomori

Oh my God, his laughter. Just … oh my God.

Tsuchigomori in dad mode is always one of the highlights of the episode/chapter.

By the way, in this scene according to the sub, Nene asked Tsuchigomori who Tsukasa is. But she knew who he is already. Is it possible that the sub misinterpreted it? ‘Cause I think what she actually meant was, “What happened to him and Tsukasa-kun in the past?”

If someone who speaks Japanese could share their wisdom, please do!

9. The 5 pm bell and twilight

Look how pretty they are!!!

Lo and behold, another important hananene interaction while the 5 pm bell plays in the background. Also, twilight? Y’all giving me Kimi no Na wa flashbacks.

“Twilight, when it’s neither day or night. When the world blurs and one might encounter something not human.”

Huh … kinda fits the ‘boundary’ concept but it still hurt.

Anyway they still had Hanako tell her what she already knew. And I did say in my ‘Walking Blind’ post that it’d be redundant. But since the episode kinda emphasized Nene’s desire to understand Hanako, having him actually tell her himself, even though she already knew it, was a big deal. It’s not about what she knows, it’s about him opening up to her. So I’m super cool with it.

10. The Broadcasting Club (!!!spoilers for The Clock Keeper arc!!!)

I love how Natsuhiko and Sakura are actually decent people. When he told Mitsuba that he was free to choose to stay with them or not? That’s solid, man. Though, of course, Tsukasa might not be as kind.

Speaking of, I know it couldn’t be anything else, but I’m still not sure if Tsukasa’s drawing was confirmation for season 2. Don’t wanna get my hopes up. Imma just enjoy what I currently have.

Kinda curious, though. Because Clock Keeper wasn’t Tsukasa’s doing. Maybe he was the one who released Mirai? But tbh I’d prefer if it wasn’t so. Because having more cases of supernaturals going loco without it being one of Tsukasa’s games is interesting, and kinda underlines the need of The Seven Wonders to keep supernaturals in check.

11. Kodama just chilling

12. The Adventures of Minamoto and the Summer Vegetables

You go, Kou! I’m rooting for you oh my God you’re so precious.

And look at that ikemen smile! Him supporting Kou is just top notch sweet y’all I can’t-

Ngl this was the biggest surprise of the episode. Teru finding out that summer vegetables = Nene? Broooooo. Interesting. I don’t think this little addition warrants any changes to their future interaction, so it should be safe. Clever replacement, too, those veggies.

It’s so sweet that Nene delivered those veggies to Kou! Just imagine the Minamoto family having veggies for dinner. Awww.

(Also, Nene wrote her name in hiragana instead of kanji. Is that a reference to how bad Kou is with kanji? Lol, so sweet)

13. The Coda!!!

Look at him. Just look at him. Look how lovesick he is y’all I can’t-

THEY’RE SO ADORABLE.

All in all, I love this episode. Sorry for how long this post is. I’m just dealing with so many feels right now. Gaaahhhhh.

Ok here's what I have decided for the sci fantasy au so far as far as what everyone is and/or what random abilities they have

Kasumi: this is nowhere near final but me and my sibling have been joking abt her being a mad scientist and I am fully ready to commit if nothing better comes to mind

Tae: zombie maybe? If not then probably some kind of werebeast.

Rimi: nothing yet

Saya: nothing yet

Arisa: I've decided that she can hear people's thoughts, but haven't decided if she's got anything other than that going on.

Ran: can hear the voices of plants

Moca: can go into people's dreams and is also a werewolf

Himari: demon

Tomoe: doesn't need to sleep

Tsugumi: likely some kind of horrifying beast, but I haven't decided on anything specific yet

Kokoro: cursed prophet

Kaoru: human

Hagumi: vampire, and her family also does a lot of alchemy

Kanon: vampire

Misaki: alien

Aya: space eldritch horror

Hina: failed attempt at reviving an old eldritch god

Chisato: ocean eldritch horror

Maya: can see through illusion magic and other magical disguises

Eve: poison cloud thing

Yukina: spellcaster

Sayo: human

Lisa: werecat

Ako: doesn't need to sleep

Rinko: not a ghost, but I'm thinking she can have ghost like abilities maybe?

Toko: cursed prophet, but in a family of not cursed prophets who have been under the assumption that they are not a prophet for years

Nanami: human but raised by demons

Tsukushi: human but raised by weredogs

Rui: human but raised by werecats

Layer: probably some kind of monster hunter, idk for sure yet

Lock: some kind of sea creature, but is also a monster hunter

Masking: almost definitely a monster hunter

Chu^2: a not cursed prophet, and a powerful one too.

How I feel about this character: babey girl!! shes so fun and i love her a lot!! there’s a lot to be talked about with her history of bullying and her becoming a hostess, then the different complexes and insecurities she would develop, but anyways!! i love her a lot.

Any/all the people I ship romantically with this character: yoru can have a leedle gf as a treat,, its hibiki, shes the leedle gf - i also like yoruko/emma and yoruko/kokoro tho!!!! yoruko has many gfs and every sdra2 girl is one of them

My favorite non-romantic relationship for this character: ! i’ve talked a bit abt how her dynamic with nikei couldve grown and changed in a few different aus, but i also rlly like seeing her interact with yuuki, so! yuuki in canon, her dynamic with nikei is fun in canon too tho, i just like thinking abt it in aus

My unpopular opinion about this character: uh she’s a trans lesbian but there’s more to her character than lesbian tsundere, and disliking her because “there’s no depth” isnt. a valid reason to dislike her, bc characters can b good people and not have a history of child abuse and have still have depth,, there’s more ways of making a complex character than “hurt as a child by their family and/or is evil”

One thing I wish would happen / had happened with this character in canon: “one character will b canonically lgbt,,, jk lmao” - linuj, who i still am upset with. yoruko for canon trans lesbian 2k20 people!! also seeing her possibly have a genuine scene of being emotional and open with sora would be nice? like having her tell sora “hey i dont. like some of the things ur doing, but ur my friend and i care about you so im trying to be brave here despite my issues with having friends/being liked in the past, and tell you that i think you’re better than doing things you know are wrong“

Favorite friendship for this character: !! she rlly does have a good vibe going with yuuki and sora, i just wish some things had been handled differently with that group^^;; also! once again i rlly think she and kokoro are fun

My crossover ship: *sobs* uh. yoruko/sakura/aoi bc they’re all dating maybe? im not a fan of her but yoruko/tsumugi could be fun,,, oh!!!! and yoruko/sonia

Prompt : Sanemi with a son who kicks in his sleep

One night your son came into your room crying, Sanemi. of course. panicked sicko moded . It was about the middle of night so he thought a demon had came and attacked the house so he quickly rushed to his sons room to see nothing and sensed nothing. Sanemi being the demon mofo, STILL swang his sword all around the room just to make sure no demons were in it, he might as well just throw out holy water for our e-b0i douma. But that’s a story for another time.

Seeing that it was clear and good, he was a bit confused on why his son was crying and went to his shared room with you and him. He went back to see him being hugged by you. “It’s ok (sons/name) no monsters gonna turn you into an e-boy” you said to your son reassuringly. Now, you know Sanemi doesn’t really let his heart this weak but his kokoro can be weak just for once with the sight of you reassuring your son that he was good and he loved the sight he was seeing so, he unknowingly just sat near you guys and gave his son a pat on the head and caressed it, while he was at his soft babey moments. Your son has your features but he resembled more with Sanemi, he had spikey soft white hair and sanemis signature eye lashes. So it really felt like you had a Sanemi junior running around the house. And by that, you said to your son to just sleep in your room. Nothing wrong with that, totally. Sanemi knew this was childish. But he sees himself competing with his own son for your own affection which doesn’t make any sense. So he was a bit sad when his son slept right smack in the middle. He thought he could cuddle you today but his son had other plans.

Sanemi went to bed a sigh left his lips, he was REALLY craving for that affection cuddles you usually gave him. But not today, tomorrow who knows, but the point was he wanted it TODAY. So he resolved with hugging you from the other side. Even if his son was right smack in the middle, his long hands reached to you and caressed your hair.

Already, the boy was a snoring mess. We all know he snores, but that’s ok. Because that’s cute. He was already dreaming of cuddling you but suddenly. He felt something punch his face and DINGLE. REAL HARD, LIKE B0i. Did demon somehow find it’s way to the room. Sanemi was ready to go sicko mode. This mofo went to grab his katana which was already right beside his bed so he grabbed it quickly and jumped. You were still there sleeping, not knowing anything. And your son was just there sleeping hugging you. Because, sons hugs mama.

He stared at the room and scanned the room while he was at it. And here he was swinging his katana around the room. What if the demons invisible, what if-

Sanemis thoughts were cut off when he saw you calling his name. “Nemi, go to sleep. It’s late,,,, don’t you have a mission tomorrow? There’s no demons in the room. Not today” a sigh left your lips as you stared at this man you call your husband. But a sly smile still spread across it because, he was swinging his katana around the room. He was really paranoid.

So he resolved to sleep back, and went to sleep.

Did Sanemi really think he was gonna get a good night sleep well, welcome to world war 1.

Another dream he was enjoying just to get another SmAcK, like Sanemi grabbed his katana and jumped and the process repeated. You calling him back to sleep and him grumbling, knowing that the demons ready to jump any time.

Now. As much as you Called him to sleep, he still did not sleep. Sadly this process of unknown smacking kept on happening for at least 4 more times. And sanemi was going CRAZY. He was ready to fight so here he was.

In the corner of the room, scratching his hair in frustration about the ‘demon’ attacking him in his sleep. He was ready to pass out when he saw a swinging motion through the dark he was ready to jump, but. It wasn’t what he thought it was.

It was actually his son, kicking and swinging his hands and legs everywhere. But not at your side no. He was kicking at sanemis side of the bed while his sons other hands was hugging your arm. Sanemi wasn’t angry, no. He was just relieved to know it wasn’t a demon. But he sure was annoyed. He didn’t know what to do. Was he supposed to laugh, get angry, smile. He just had his lips pressed together forming a straight line, as he stared at his son aggressively moving. He must be beating up a demon, just like Him, he thought.

So to resolve the problem, he somehow removed this punching machine aside so now, HE was in the middle. And he hugged you while his legs were at the other side on top of his sons waist, basically a hug and his son. Just hugged his leg and beat the other side up. No demon can touch this little punching machine NOW. This isn’t a family no, this is a protecting you from any sort of danger club.

The next morning he told you all about it, and you had a good laugh about it and told him how funny it was that he was swinging his katana in flipping air like a crazy mofo he was. He enjoyed his day and he actually thought his son some few moves so, now his son can’t protect himself and you. You just enjoyed looking at their little training session. As you made them some ohagi.

some dadmight-centric BNHA AUs

take two of my “summaries of dadmight/probably vocaloid-inspired bnha aus” post because the first one accidentally got deleted like 8 seconds after i posted it

because like two people were supportive of me talking about my unfleshed aus here i have written up bullet-point summaries of them under the cut for your viewing displeasure to hopefully encourage further discussion :]

(TW for child abuse/death)

the cliche’d Experiment Izuku AU that doesn’t really have a name thus far so i’ve been calling it “labrat” in my notes (even though that just makes me think of that disney XD show) EDIT: its name is No Matter What now -- this is my Big Fic Project that i have been working on (loose term) for months and haven't really talked about much with anyone so i'm honestly really excited to throw it at everyone lmao basically it's:

izuku is kidnapped shortly after he finds out he's quirkless and experimented on by All For One And Co. because god knows we don't have enough of THAT au

he escapes the day all might, still recovering from his big fight with AFO, just so happens to be taking a nice walk and stumbles into izuku and naturally, goes into dad mode in about 3 seconds

this is the story of izuku and all might learning to love themselves and accept being loved by others after what they've each been through and it's just got a lot of feelings okay

phantump!izuku au -- bnha but there are pokemon. this whole thing started as a "lol what if izuku was a phantump wouldn't that be sad" and then it grew into this

so basically izuku gets lost in the woods as a lil kid (bakugou: "lol he'll be fine he can't be THAT dumb") he's not fine he dies all alone in the forest and his spirit possesses a local stump

all might stumbles upon izuku-phantump and puts two and two together and oops! now he has a phantump baby

it's just kokoro but with izuku honestly. izuku's a robot made by toshinori and izuku doesn't realize how much toshinori loved him until centuries later after he's long gone (please just listen to the song if you haven't already lol)

robo!izu exists because the real izuku died when he was a student or maybe a lil older and toshinori became a hermit who built a whole robot in his likeness to distract him from the grief and ultimately cope in a rather unhealthy

the prequel song "goodbye, thank you" (favorite vocaloid song honestly) just gave me all might feels in general and that's how we got here babey

theater au -- the only not-angsty one in here it's literally just ua but as idiot theater kids because i am an idiot theater kid who likes to project

so like ua implements theater bc nezu thought the kids were (justifiably) stressed and thought they could use a fun creative distraction (nezu have you been anywhere near a theater it is the opposite of calming in there)

literally like all of 1a joins + the other important students with mic and midnight supervising. everyone is an idiot theater kid now, even you

this started with me mixing tododeku + a bit of shinkami and theater when i was really bored during a show last spring so that's kind of a focus but not really

listen there's just something very soft about someone sitting in a light booth staring gayly at their gay crush who is on stage doing whatever like Sigh,,, I Am Very Gay

shinsou and kaminari are two stupid light techs; tokoyami moved to sound as soon as he saw kaminari because he just knew the bakusquad was going to involve themselves in that somehow; izuku is put on the headset backstage exactly once and his muttering nearly drove shinsou to insanity; iida is appointed as stage manager and no, he is not okay

there are like 5 more aus i didn’t include because they were mostly just vague concepts and i wanted to keep this brief F

Cast Celebrating:

-New years is probably one of Yoruko's least favorite holidays, because every year she and Setsuka host a huge party and every year without fail, it's a mess and a half-

-It's all fun and games until Mikado finds the alcohol they had hidden and tells everyone about it

-I can't figure out a good way to organize it to where it won't look crowded so bullet point time babey !

-Kanade and Syobai end up in the middle of the living room, Yoruko holding Kanade back so she doesn't stab Syobai over something rude he said about Iroha

-Setsuka's running around with Nikkei and Teruya, all three of them yelling and laughing WAY too loudly

-Hibiki's off to the side, crying because of all the noise. Meanwhile Iroha's attempting to comfort her while also trying to keep Kanade from hurting somebody on accident (or on purpose if she actually manages to get to Syobai-)

-Shinji and Hajime both get really touch starved when they’re drunk for some reason??? Yuki eventually gets them to stop making out every two minutes, saying something about how 'kissing now will make the midnight kiss less special,' but they still need some form of contact. Luckily for everyone there, that usually just means they'll go cuddle on the couch. Yuri always somehow gets pulled into the pile of warmth and cuddling, despite his initial protests about how they'll make him smell like alcohol. Eventually he just gives up and decides to enjoy the time with his bfs (Yuri/Shinji/Hajime rights!)

-The people that are still sober that aren't stopping a fight, cheering someone up, or cuddling are Mikado, Yuki, Sora, Emma, and Kokoro. Emma and Mikado aren't any help at all when it comes to making people settle down, but everyone else is trying their best

-By 11:30 almost everyone that was loud previously are already asleep, getting shaken awake by the people that hadn't used all their energy earlier in the night. After everyone finally wakes up (which takes 20 minutes within itself-) they'll all put something warm on, grabbing Kokoro's Ipad so they can still watch the live footage of the countdown thing from outside

-Wait for context: In this Yoruko and Setsuka's house is near the place the city shoots off their fireworks from- Also I've never watched one of the shows/live streams that cover the countdown so please don't quote me on any of this-

-After they all lay their blankets on the grass, everyone sits down and stares over Kokoro's shoulder, watching as the few remaining minutes tick down. The almost complete silence is suddenly interrupted by fireworks going off once the clock finally hits 12am, everyone cheering before becoming preoccupied with their midnight kiss to celebrate the new year

-Which is an amazing transition into part two: New Years kisses

Kanade/Iroha:

-They try to keep themselves from doing anything more than a forehead kiss, that way the start of the new year’ll be even more special!

-Iroha's not the best at staying up late, so she'll always take a nap earlier in the day before they go to to Yoruko and Setsuka's. During her nap, Kanade’ll steal her phone, setting the time an hour back, that way when midnight hits Kanade can give her a kiss, which’ll make Iroha be like 'It's 11??' Then Kanade just says something along the lines of 'guess that just means we'll have to kiss again in hour.'

-Advantages of having a smart gf: she'll make plans so she can kiss you more

-Disadvantages of having a smart gf: She's too caught up in her plan to realize she can kiss you at any point in time-

Teruya/Nikkei:

-Do you know that one thing that's like:

"3... 2... 1... happy new year! [Starts kissing]"

"Guys it's not even midnight yet, can you stop making out every time the microwave goes off??"

-Yeah they're basically that. It's a little annoying at first, especially since they're usually making out right in front of the microwave because they wanted to make sure they could hear it, but eventually people either stop using the microwave for the night or they just learn to ignore it

-They still kiss at midnight though, you can’t properly start a new year without a kiss from your incredible bf can you?

Kokoro/Emma:

-Emma tries to do that with Kokoro, but Kokoro always mumbles something about the tradition being important and how they need to respect it

-All the denied kisses only makes Emma more determined to make the most out of their midnight kiss though, so the kiss lasts as long as they can make it before they pass out from lack of air. Kokoro gets 'mad' about it, but she still gives Emma an extra kiss on the cheek once she catches her breath so Emma’s pretty sure it’s fine-

Yuri/Shinji/Hajime:

-I've never written an Ot3 thing before but I want them to have at least a little more content so this'll be fun-

-Depending on how drunk they are, Shinji and Hajime've already kissed anywhere between 3 and 472 times by the time midnight hits. Yuri manages to get out of anything more than cheek kisses since he doesn't like the taste of alcohol, but he supposes he can make an exception for midnight kisses-

-Once the clock finally hits midnight Shinji and Hajime are already showering Yuri in kisses so they can make up for the ones they couldn't give him earlier. Whenever Shinji and Hajime have their midnight kiss, it isn’t technically midnight anymore, but they couldn’t think of a better way to start the new year than kissing their tiny bf so it’s more than okay with them

Mikado/Yuki:

-Yuki never knows when Mikado’ll appear and kiss him. All throughout the night, Mikado’ll just randomly show up in front of him, giving him a quick dip kiss because he’s extra and then disappearing again

-Even the midnight kiss is a mystery! Yuki’ll turn to give Mikado a kiss to celebrate, but he’s nowhere to be found. Then Yuki blinks and boom! Mikado’s right in front of him, already kissing him before he can even open his eyes back up. It’s odd, but it adds a fun element of surprise, you know?

Syobai/Sora:

-Syobai isn’t a fan of pda, so when Sora goes to give him a quick kiss he’ll act all ‘fine but only because you’re gonna make do it me either way’ but he’s happy he gets to start the year off with his lowkey epic gf

-These’re getting worse and worse as I go but I don’t wanna get these out later than needed considering it’s already the 2nd here-

Setsuka/Yoruko:

-“Babe! Yoruko! The love of my life! My Angel! I love you! Happy new year! Gimme a kiss!”

-“Setsuka you’re drunk and you reek of alcohol, maybe a kiss wouldn’t be the best right now,,”

-“It’s a special day! Exceptions can be made!!”

-In the end Setsuka wins, only because Yoruko wanted her to quiet down though, definitely not because she wanted to kiss her gf or anything like that haha-

The shower was a collaborative effort; Glynda inspected for injuries while Cinder sat in the tub, warm water pelting down on them both.

Glynda gently roused her own, pressing a tender flow of it through her palms, offering it to Cinder.

Cinder’s Aura was hollow and hungry. Her soul lapped up everything it was offered. Cinder leaned back slightly, like that would help the boost go through faster; or maybe like all she wanted was a kind touch. She didn’t look back. Slowly, the various cuts and scrapes that littered her body erased themselves.

Cinder peered out owlishly, her face a far healthier color despite the purple bruising that remained around her eyes, telling plainly of her weariness.

There was a gulf between them in the hotel bed.

It wasn’t at all like their nights at Cinder’s house. This was closed off. Distant. A thousand questions and answers hung unspoken in the air, heavy like the rain clouds themselves. The two of them were warm and dry, but not much else. There was little comfort to speak of.

Cinder, in her sleep, started crying again. It came and went in disconnected pieces, until she finally cried herself awake, startling out of her dreams.

When Cinder didn’t answer the question, Glynda held one arm out, lifting the blankets between them. “Cinder.”

Glynda didn’t know which surprised her more: that she had offered, or that Cinder accepted.

OH???????????

She settled quietly, face pressed into Glynda’s collarbone, her breath flitting warm over scar-marked skin. Glynda’s arm, curled around her back, weighed her down. Cinder did not hold on to her in return. She was folded up around herself, fitting into the space Glynda had made for her, taking to warmth and shelter like an abandoned child.

The fear was eating her alive, and bit by bit, her skin seemed to unravel, every layer of her body sloughing off into just meat, rent through by that light—it felt like teeth, like destruction, like being twisted apart in some giant’s hands like an insect having its wings pulled out. It held fury like she had never felt. She quailed before it, and it bared its teeth, black tar and grave-rot spilling from between yellowed fangs.

Glynda tried to close her eyes, to look away, to run away, but it seized her like a bear trap sinking its jagged teeth into the wrong prey, snapping a much more fragile deer bone with ease. It sieved her being out from between her ribs, drinking only the cacophony of her soul, lapping up every part of her inheritance—all the while she was fighting, struggling helplessly in its grasp, her mind mere shatterings of bright-red pain, with only slivers of meat and fragments of bone remaining of her body—torn apart by lances of sunlight, burning like fire, a dawn that came with the sound of a scream.
