Now it's finally time to study Linear Algebra!
I'm gonna have a test this weekend and I'm panicking because... err... I haven't touched anything about Algebra since classes re-started........... but that's ok, I still have a few days which I'll be able to study so even if I can’t cover ALL the test's content, I’ll still be able to learn something.
Actually I started to study for Algebra before the pandemic was declared and after reviewing these exercises I did in March it seems that now I learned the content better! So it’s a good thing!

These days you’ll see me posting a lot about Calculus, because I’m going to have my first exam next monday so I’m dedicating myself to Calculus whenever I can. It’s a lot to study, but everything is easier with my kitten around ♥

2020.1 Subjects
Yeah, I forgot to list the subjects i'm taking this semester heheh 😅
This semester will be a little bit hard cause I already did all my favorite subjects (from Chemical and Biological Oceanography - not much by choice, but because I didn't fail any of their prerequisites hahah). So let's go with the math ones:
Linear Algebra
Calculus 3 (Vectorial Calculus)
Transport Phenomenon
Fishery Ecology
Marine Mineral Resources
I did Linear Algebra once (back in 2015), failed and got trauma of it... but at some point I was going to have to do it again, right?
Transport Phenomenon is the Physical Oceanography subject I mentioned earlier;
Fishery Ecology I had already mentioned, it’s my last biology subject;
Marine Mineral Resources is a Geological Oceanography subject, not really sure why it has Physics II as a prerequisite..... (I’m just a little bit scared?)
And Calculus 3, an old acquaintance; It seems like those people who come to visit us and we can't wait for them to leave...?
Anyways, wish me luck!

Days of productivity!
Hello people, I hope you're well and healthy!! 🌟✨✨
So, I have a little problem with "productivity"...... I'm kind of obsessed with it, I'm always aiming perfection so I end up leading myself to exhaustion, and also not recognizing some of my victories.
In fact, I've been dealing with burnout after burnout for years, but at the end of last year it was different: I tried to follow my therapist's advice to prioritize some "non-productive" activity that I like to do. The results were incredible! In addition to being happy, I even felt more motivated to do things that previously made me anxious and that therefore I procrastinated. No guys, you're NOT understanding, I mean, I failed Physics THREE times in a row, and when I followed this advice I not only passed, but I passed with a B average (!!!)
So the point is, well, I intended to continue doing these things, except that at the beginning of the year my personal life turned upside down, the pandemic came, and also a long 6 months' period without any school activities... so I kind of went back to the old habits...
When the classes started again I made my schedule of activities, and again I filled all my free time with "study time"... Needless to say what happened, right? Last week I had a burnout, started to have some paranoia, and also tendonitis... so I decided it was time to follow that advice again and give me free time to do what I like to do!
So we finally got to the reason why I'm writing this post. As I live on the internet all the time - and I'll continue to live, because online classes - I thought about using my "addiction" on tumblr to my advantage, and start keeping an online record of things I did in my day, as a reminder to myself that having a rest time is also productive!
Aaaand that's it! Maybe I don't come here every day, but at least now you'll know why ^^ It’s for my mental health.

I have a new table! It is much more spacious than the previous one, it even has drawers!
I'm still trying to get used to using the table instead of the bed, but I can say that I'm making progress in this regard: I'm only studying in bed when I have to turn my camera on in online classes, because my move from my campus is huddled in the wall opposite my study desk and I don't want this to appear on camera hahah

It's been a long time since I posted original content heheh
Several tests have passed, and fortunately I got good grades in all of them. The photos above are from my first test of Linear Algebra of this semester; I was quite anxious because, honestly, this is a subject that I have some trauma, buuuuuut I'm extremely happy to say that I got a B in this exam!
Now it's time to take the second (and last) Algebra exam.
... ummm... I'm not proud to say that, once again, I left to study at the last minute......... heheh
And now it's going to be a little more complicated because I'm going to have a simulate + exam of Vector Calculus for the same day as my Algebra exam, so...
yeah, wish me luck!

I must say that due to how many times I wrote numbers, my numerical handwriting has improved a lot.....
By the time this post is published I’ll be doing my Calculus test. I hope everything goes well, it’s raining a lot right now and it’s threatening to lack electricity... hopefully the light will not go out during the test!

Yesterday I was trying to solve a list of Calculus exercises and I ended up finding an online calculator website that plots graphs in polar coordinates, like?? perfect??? You can play with the equations, so it’s easier to understand what each thing corresponds to... Needless to say, I spent more time on that website than I needed to 😅😅
Here’s the website: https://www.desmos.com/calculator/ms3eghkkgz?lang=en

Oh this week was a tiring one
My plan for this week was to catch up on classes in a new subject I enrolled in last week, to study calculus, to do an assignment in another subject, and to do a seminar for fishing ecology.
But the seminar wasn’t as simple as planned so I couldn't do anything but it. Our professor gave us a very open topic and only 1 week to work on it; but when we met with her in tutoring she said that we were doing it wrong, and basically we had to guess what would be the right way to do it...
We redid this work about 4 times and today, in the presentation, she still said it was incorrect.... and guys, we really did our best! We were working on this seminar since tuesday nonstop, we even did webconferences 4 nights in a roll, we presented very deeply every single possible interpretation for the given topic and still............ all I can say now is that, regardless of our assigned grade, [so far] we were the group that researched the most!

I miss being on the university campus. These are some photos from when I last visited my campus before returning to my parents' house 2 weeks ago.
On that day there were only a few people and it was so calm. I took the time to enjoy the moment, I played on the tire swing, I was admiring the lake in the middle of the campus where there’re some ducks, feeling the light breeze...
Everything is so different from last year, when everything was so hectic and there was a student strike (the government cut education funding), you can still see the protest graffiti on the buildings... it seems that it happened in another era.

Hi! For the I'm not from the US ask game, 15
Hi dear anon!
15: a saying, joke, or hermetic meme that only people from your country will get?
Oh lord, there’s literally a bunch of them, brazilians are indeed a very creative people hahhaha
Well, one that I can remember now is the medicine named "Semancol" hahah Whenever someone needs to "se mancar" i.e. realize they’re being or doing something inconvenient/unfortunate, we recommend them the Semancol remedy hsuashhs
But the most legendary joke was definitely the "Cala a boca Galvão" back in 2010 shdasuhjdasihdshd We made the whole world believe that this was a campaign to protect an endangered bird, when in fact we were just complaining about a soccer narrator (called Galvão) who used to talk nonstop (”Cala a boca” means to shut up)
