“At the beginning we watched some interviews, testimonies of people whose faces were blurred, people who were talking about their everyday life. I quickly realized that I didn’t want to go down that path. The most significant part of my preparation was running every morning, like meditation. While running I was asking myself questions to which I had to answer, like why I was making this film, so as to be able to answer the questions journalist and the audience would ask about this film. And this is how I found answers. I also wanted to completely avoid any cliches. It was important to me to do this person justice without betraying him, to understand how he feels so that the audience wouldn’t be afraid of him but rather understand him. And of course it was good to have someone who trusts me. For me the most important thing was the confidence I felt in that situation. I don’t have the technique, I haven’t been to drama school, it’s always about a situation that you work out together (with your director). As long as I have trust I’m willing to do anything and open myself up.”

头痛欲裂 / Kopfplatzen（2019）

要命了的北欧电影，看得人如坐针毡，坐立难安，作为导演的第一部作品，非常工整，完成度也高，镜头语言和符号的隐喻指向都那么明显，笼子里的兽性，折射在窗外的落叶纷纷，男主自始至终暗色的着装，暗房里隐晦肮脏的红光。作为一个有基本良知的人，男主的出路似乎只剩下了去死或化学阉割，残忍，却无可奈何，导演提出了的问题尖锐又颇具风险，但没有答案，但提出问题总比装聋作哑要好一些。

Ich Weiß garnicht mehr was mit mir los ist ich fühle zurzeit garnichts, aber zugleich auch soviel, ich weiß nicht mehr weiter wie ich mit dieser ganzen Situation klar kommen sollen. Ich lege mich schlafen um mal wenigstens mal eine kleine Pause vom allen zukriegen doch mein Kopf lässt es nicht zu. Ich kann seit tagen einfach nicht schlafen, obwohl ich so müde bin Tags über setze ich mir ein Lächeln ins Gesicht damit mir niemand anmerkt wie kaputt ich eigentlich bin, weil ich diese Situation nicht erklären will oder überhaupt kann ich finde keine Wörter für diese Leere innen mir ich will einfach nur mein Kopf abschalten und an nichts mehr denken müssen.. Ich will einfach wieder mal durch atmen können, weil ich langsam an all dem scheiß hier ersticke.

Thanks to our collaboration I knew I had someone I could absolutely trust, I knew I was talking to a friend and when he showed me the script it was important to know that I could rely on him. In general I had many doubts, I didn't know how this would be received, it was a big taboo, and yet I had a feeling that I absolutely had to do this."
