❛ — HEADCANON MEME

♡ ROMANCE HEADCANON

dick is pretty confident when it comes to romance. he can be quite flirtatious when he wants to, however although to gotham dick grayson is perceived as quite promiscuous because of this and his charm, dick isn’t the type to sleep with somebody unless he really did have feelings for her. so, as far as one night stands go with strangers, they’re pretty unheard of. if he is in love with somebody it will be obvious, his countenance completely betrays him so if he’s trying to keep it subtle with what he says its pointless, an emotion like love radiates off of somebody like dick grayson without him speaking a word. so as a boyfriend, this means corny pet names and back rubs, warm embraces and an inability to not have his hands on her both in public and private, intense and stupid heart eyes in the morning and surprise gifts every now and again. the latter he may end up doing quite often, since his hectic lifestyle means he’s not exactly a very present boyfriend and when his mind is very busy he might distance himself, completely unintentionally, just because he’s so mentally preoccupied. thus, this guilt he feels means a lot of very expensive necklaces and dresses. he wants to make her happy, that is all. if he’s in love he’s completely whipped.

♦ QUIRKS / HOBBIES HEADCANON

he’s very double jointed; in his fingers, wrist and knees. he also has a very strong allergy to nuts, which he discovered at the age of thirteen and literally could’ve died so he’s usually carrying his epipen around –– usually, because his risk perception means he stupidly doesn’t think he’ll need it. he sneezes like an old man ?? and makes stupid noises when doing everyday things to make it more dramatic like ‘ POW ’ and ‘ PEW PEW ’ because he’s a five year old ?? when it comes to hobbies, he’s addicted to anything related to computers and constantly testing his hacking abilities, but also computer games preoccupy ALL his time when he’s actually got some to himself. during high school, he also loved to play chess and was, of course, president of the club for a good three years.

▼ CHILDHOOD HEADCANON

as already mentioned above, dick was a big supporter of gotham academy’s chess club. he was also very involved in a lot of other extra curricular activities, which made him quite an all-rounded student. football was never his favourite, but he did enjoy tennis and baseball greatly and played for his school’s team, as well as being on the school’s swimming squad. however it goes without saying that gymnastics was obviously his favourite thing to do in p.e. he dabbled in art club, but never really did hack painting so quit after the first semester as a freshman. dick did pick up the guitar too and achieved a grade 8 distinction and diploma by the time he turned twenty.

♒ COOKING / FOOD HEADCANON

since he moved out of wayne manor when he was eighteen into his own apartment, dick was sort of forced to be able to cook to keep himself alive. at first, he did rely solely on take outs but eventually he was able to cook a decent meal ( chilli con carne being his favourite ). he’s not amazing, but decent, and when it comes to baking he’s absolutely useless.

☼ APPEARANCE HEADCANON

if he’s wearing civvies, his usual outfits consist of a simple pair of black trousers and a variety of button up shirts and sweaters, but when he’s in the comfort of his own place he’s normally wearing nothing but briefs or his grey sweatpants. he has a black overcoat and green bomber jacket you can always expect him to wear since they’re his favourites, along with his black converse or dc martens. his raven hair is never really styled, usually left untidy atop his head unless he’s attending an event in gotham, which always involve a lot of cameras, forcing him to actually gel it into what looks like a decent, contemporary quiff. he shaves quite regularly so there is always stubble on either side of his face. his officers uniform is one of his prized possessions, so when he’s wearing his badge and cap he looks more pristine that he normally does. his scent is a mixture of his dnky aftershave, his peppermint toothpaste and coffee, but he also has quite an earthy odor since he's outside most of the time.

RESULT: ON YOUR TONGUE. your love is language. it’s the way you say goodbye, good morning, how was your day? love for you is less something to talk about and more something that weaves itself into your speech without permission ( and, of course, with it .) love comes out of you everyday in the easiest way to understand; what’s the point of feeling it if you don't say it? sing it? scream it? it bubbles up and spills over anyway.
