Restless in his pursuit of sleep, Kento tosses and turns in bed. The nightmares have left him gaunt, sleep-deprived, sporting bloodshot eyes and matching eye bags. Frustrated, he sighs and reluctantly gets up, heading to the common room for a some water. Expecting solitude at this hour, he’s surprised to find another student sprawled on the worn-out couch.

Initially, Kento had no intention of disturbing Shigeo, prioritising the value of any sleep he can get. Even if it’s bound to lead to a sore back and a crick in the neck the following day. That changes abruptly when a sound reaches his ears, causing all the dormant parts of his heart to constrict in sympathy.

After waking his underclassman, Kento steps back, his expression carefully blank. “It’s alright,” he says, voice slightly hoarse. When asked about the time, Kento pats the pockets of his sweats for his phone, and comes up empty. “Late,” he answers unhelpfully, with a light shrug. Yawning, he ambles to the nearby cooler to fill a cup of water for himself. After downing it in its entirety, he returns with a cup for Shigeo, nudging it into his hand.

“If you want to talk about it...” It’s not an offer he extends often, and he doubts Shigeo will take him up on it, given his reserved nature, but that’s okay. These days, Kento struggles to muster the capacity to truly listen. He turns his fading attention away, rummaging through the cupboards, and retrieves an old throw. Settling into an adjacent armchair, he leans back, eyes closed in another attempt to find rest. “You’ll sleep more comfortably in your room.”

rip!mc is generally on friendly with everyone if not a bit distant. she is notorious in jujutsu society not bc she's well known or anything but the few times her name does come up it's usually together in a sentence with gojo's 😭 plus she is known for being a little...odd at times. but most ppl don't even notice. she probably would have more friends if gojo wasn't in the picture though LOL

when utahime visits tokyo, the two of them + shoko always go out for drinks and karaoke (which i know utahime is amazing at). they are friends!!! they 100% have a girls group chat which gojo is always craning his neck trying to look at. rip!mc will take the secrets in there to the grave.

every time meimei comes around she tells rip!mc she could bleed gojo dry of his money and rip!mc is like ....? meimei also tells rip!mc that if she ever decides to marry gojo she could make BANK in the divorce settlement. yes her exact words are divorce settlement and gojo is sweating at that one. one of the only wagers meimei has ever lost has involved geto and rip!mc rip.......

nanami and rip!mc are pretty close and nanami actually respects her ! though he refuses to touch gojo and rip!mc's relationship with a ten ft pole. rip!mc is the only one he calls senpai (which gojo complains about all the time) even as adults although she is always trying to get him to call her by her name. nanami still maintains that formality. they kept in touch when he left jujutsu sorcerery which unfortunately meant that gojo wasn't too far behind.

rip!mc met maki and mai young, aka not too long after she met megumi. gojo was negotiating megumi's release (lol that sounds like some hostage situation) and specifically told her not to wander and get lost in the zenin compound (spoiler alert she did) and met mai hiding in the bushes from some curse in the middle of one of the gardens. maki came and rip!mc gave both of them the candy she usually kept in her pocket to shut gojo up. the rest is history.

the rest of the students i'd say she probably met when they enrolled in school. except panda. i have no idea how old panda is or when he was born but yeah

I got COVID-19 again 😩 i don't feel so bad yet, but i got tested today because i started with mild symptoms and one of my kouhai was positive. Since i don't feel that bad i lie here wondering why i have stuffy nose, and occasional coughing, why my joints hurt and i feel so tired. And then i remember that I'm sick ಥ‿ಥ

Last time the fever was the worst part and i really hope i dont get that.

I got 7 days off of work but after sleeping the first days away i guess it will mean I'll have to find how to spare isolation time

starting to realize I'm going to have to work on climbing the government worker ladder if I ever want to be able to afford top surgery or minor ffs things.

I wonder how hard it is to get in on federal work with no specialty work experience.... I mean 2 or 3 years of struggle as I'm at rn, pay off my car, then try for a fed job.

my goal is the better pay and mandated pay raises and job security. plus maybe I'd be able to bully their insurance into covering trans stuff? my current job is like... they don't know I'm trans. the insurance doesn't know I'm trans. and it's literally illegal for my insurance to cover trans stuff because Florida is a trans hell zone legally, but federal insurance should maybe be able to cover it?

only thing I can think of otherwise is going public sector and trying to get into a tech support role somewhere but their industry is kinda imploding right now and I've got no experience so 🤷‍♀️

“oh are you gojo-sensei’s student too?” he was excited to meet another student, it was such a big school for just a few people.

“gojo… sensei” you repeated confused.

“oh you must be utahime-sensei’s student then? from kyoto?” he tilted his head, like a puppy.

“utahime…” you whispered, “is geto here?” you asked with a certain urgency in your voice, “geto suguru.”

“who? geto?” he scratched his head, trying to remember if he heard about a sensei called geto suguru, “i don’t think i—“

“itadori!” megumi called from outside, yuuji saw him die below through the open windows of the second floor he was at, his classmate probably saw him as well.

“ah fushiguro!” he greeted his friend and turned back to you, “i’ll ask megumi, he’s been here for longer than me.”

“who you talking to?!” megumi shouted.

“her!” he pointed, you were in front of him, right by the opened window too, he couldn’t see you?

megumi even moved a bit, “itadori, there’s no one there. stop playing, we got to leave!” megumi scolded him before entering the building.

“eh?” yuuji was frowning.

“sorry, i think i’m in the wrong place” you bowed and turned away running.

“wait!” he ran after you, turning corners he thought you could’ve gone but after a few ones he reached a dead end.

“oi, we’re waiting for you, let’s go” megumi came from where he was, grabbing yuuji by the hood of his uniform and dragging him away.

gojo watched through a window as they walked down the staircase until both boys walked out of the building.

“that was weird” you murmured from inside the classroom he was in, “that boy called you sensei” you put more rice into your hungry mouth, “does yaga know you’re pretending to be a teacher here?”

satoru closed the door, lighting another incense on the table that you used to sit. where every year on the anniversary of your death he built a shrine with food you liked.

“i thought haibara was in a mission but i saw him by the tree” you pointed behind you with your chopsticks, where, outside the classroom and behind the building remained the tree you always had lunch underneath during hot summer days.

he undid the blindfold, letting his hair fall as he sat in front of you, admiring how you never aged a day. after all, you couldn’t.

in fact, it seemed like you didn’t realize how much time has passed. every year you appeared and every year you thought it was still 2006, when you had two kouhais that did everything you asked, a girl best friend that insisted you smoked with her and two boys that were helplessly in love with you. the last year you were alive.

“is suguru not coming?” you asked with your mouth full.
