This Golden Pairing

So re-reading the manga and there are just some moments that I can’t help but feel that Koushuu sometimes acts like a jealous/upset lover that Sawamura always rushes to give an explanation to. It’s just so cute watching them.

Slightly peeved Koushuu because you’re boyfriend specifically told you that he’ll trust you and listen to whatever you say and then had then gone and shaken off your game-calling...

Scenario where miyuki’s gf is a national level catcher and constantly helps out the others on the team and koushuu, sawamura, etc. Always come to her for advice and pitch calling and pitching and miyuki gets rlly jealous. Thanks!

They met because she played for Seido’s softball team and had been asked if she could come and help catch for the baseball team due to one of the other catcher’s being sick.

She had been willing to help and gave tips to whoever was pitching to her and soon after just about all the pitchers and some of the catchers came asking for her opinion.

After Miyuki and her started to date, she was around a lot more often than not. Everybody from the managers to the players loved having her around because of her knowledge and her willingness to help anybody with anything.

The only downside was the couple rarely got tons of alone time due to players asking for advice. It was mainly Furuya and Sawamura, who would race each other to find her and asking for her to catch for them. She’d also stay after practice sometimes to work with Koushuu on which pitch sequence he should consider calling based on the way the batter stands in the box and the knowledge he has on the batter from previous at bats.

The offseason is when Miyuki really made sure the two went on dates or just hung out, telling his teammates that eventhough she loves them, she needs some rest and plays for a team as well. 

She thought it was nice she was that he cared for her wellbeing, but also detected Miyuki’s want to spend time with her without worrying about baseball. She totally went to their next practice and told them that she’d be happy to help as long as it wasn’t too late or too early and promised that if she was already in the middle of something when they came for help, she’d schedule another time to go over whatever they needed.

This led to some players setting up times in the day to work with her and she and Miyuki got some more scheduled free time. Miyuki has totally asked her for advice too.

I’ve said this before, but I truly believe Koushuu isn’t really the jealous type

If he ever does get jealous over another person he’ll talk with s/o about it in a sensible way

He’s more likely to get jealous over something that takes his s/o’s attention away from him for multiple hours at a time while he has nothing to do

In which he will get clingy af 

He only does this if they’re alone tho, if they’re around his team he’ll just hold her hand and keep her close to him

When they first got together Sanada would get jealous from time to time over how easily she got along with his teammates

Then realized that nothing’s going to happen and that it’s actually a really good thing they all get along so well
