Burn Marks

They had told her to be careful.

After a successful three days in Seoul, two days in Japan then the show two days ago in Madrid, AG had finally made it back to Paris. It had been years since the girls were in the city of love for Breakthrough’s music video shoot. This time, thankfully, no creepy guys or horrible managers were in sight.

The members got to enjoy a day on the town before a stage rehearsal later that night. Immediately, Moxy and Aurora dragged their other members through the streets until they reached Miss Eve’s bakery. The older woman was beyond happy to see the girls again, this time all grown up. Juno and Hannah understood why the youngest member couldn’t stop talking about the pastries. They all tasted heavenly. While eating, they filled Miss Eve in on what had been going on since she saw them last. They even brought more posters and memorabilla to line the bakeries walls.

“I know you all getting big. Every year, more and more fans stop to admire my posters. I tell them ‘I meet AG before becoming famous.” Miss Eve's bragging had the girls falling out of their seats.

Before they left, the girls invited Miss Eve to come to the concert, her eyes light up in excitement, “I bring niece! She big fan.” Miss Eve wouldn’t let them leave without bringing more food for their staff at the venue. The girls waved at Miss Eve as the car pulled off.

It’s been a long rehearsal. AG would be lucky to be in bed by 3am. Being at a smaller venue meant, readjusting every single performance so they stayed safe. Fortunately, the end was in sight. The director wanted to run through five more songs, but first was Cannonball. In the Seoul stadium, Cannonball had huge balls of fire going off all around the stage. Because of the size the girls were free to run wild. In smaller stadiums, everything was shifted and restricted for the girls' safety. The director would rather be safe than sorry especially with Hannah and Aurora since they were closest to the pyro.

Everything was going smoothly until they spread out for the second verse of the song. Everyone was tired. The lethargy creeping into their bones had everyone acting silly in an attempt to make it through the song Aurora was jumping along with her group of dancers near the left of the stage. None of them paid attention to how close they had gotten the pyro until it was too late. The maknae flung her arm out just as her previously recorded voice screams “Let’s Go!” into the empty arena.

Aurora smelt it first. She couldn’t place the exact smell nor could Aurora describe it. Can one really explain the smell of burning.

Then the pain set in.

Aurora's terrified scream halted everyone. Her three older members all flinched at the sound, taking a moment to realize that sound came from Aurora before they surrounded her. Encircling her between them.

“What happened?”

“Aurora what hurts?”

“Do you need a doctor?”

Somebody's finger grazed the burn spot on her arms causing another shrill scream to echo around the venue. “It hurts unnie, it hurts.” Aurora whimpered, clutching her arm close to her chest. Hannah catches the eye of their leader nodding her head toward backstage. Nodding, Moxy takes off to find the doctor. Without prompt, Juno turns her attention to the dancers.

“Did you see what happened?” Juno asked. One of them, a female dancer that has been with AG for years, nodded.

“I guess we got too close to the pyro. Aurora-ssi flung her arm out just as the fire went off. Her arm was only in it for a second, Could that much damage happen that fast?” The dancer asked.

“I’ll be able to tell you in a moment.” The voice of the on-site doctor answered as Moxy followed behind him. He walked onto the stage with his first aid kit toward the two girls and kneeled down in front of them.

“Hi Aurora-ssi. It’s nice to meet you. I had hoped it wouldn’t be this soon but that's neither here nor there. I’m Doctor Choi and I’ll be traveling with you for the duration of your tour.” Doctor Choi placed his first aid kit in front of the quartet, opening it so they all could see inside.

“Now Aurora, Moxy-ssi has informed me that you’ve burned yourself on the pyro. Could I see your arm? I won’t even touch it. I just need to see how serious the burn is to determine if you need to go to hospital..” Aurora looked to her unnies first. At Moxy’s nod, she held her forearm out in front of them for Doctor Choi to examine. Compared to her complexion, the burn mark stood out. The skin had turned red, some places puffed up and bumpy.

“Good news, Aurora-ssi doesn’t need a hospital but we do need to move her backstage for me to treat her.” Doctor Choi closed his case and stood up. Worry grew between all four girls.

“Why backstage?” Hannah asked while helping Aurora stand without putting pressure on the younger arm. The doc was already walking to the back, the members forced to follow.

“Because she has second degree burns. They need to be treated properly and I don’t have all the supplies in need in my bag..” At the doctor’s answer, four pairs of footsteps sped up. Doctor Choi led them to his makeshift treatment room and enlisted the girls' help in patching up Aurora's arm.

Through each step he explained what he was doing and why. First, they rinsed the burn under cool water. “This’ll get the pain to stop.” Next, Doctor Choi had Hannah gently wash the area to disinfect it. Pangs of hurt ripple thru the older girls every time their maknae hissed in pain.

Then, as carefully as he could, the doctor spread petroleum jelly across the entire burn. “This is to keep the area hydrated while it heals. I’ll also get some gauze with petroleum jelly already on it.” Lastly, Doctor Choi wrapped the burn snug enough not to move while Aurora dances but not tight enough to hurt.

“Now, as long as you wash it every day and keep the wound hydrated with an ointment or more petroleum jelly, the burn should heal in three to four weeks. You’ll have to wear the gauze during performances though. If that’s all, I’d suggest Aurora-ssi sit out the rest of the rehearsal." Before she could argue, Moxy agreed.

“Actually, we're all heading back to the hotel until closer to showtime.”

Aurora shook her head, “Unnie we had four more songs to run through.”

“Four song rehearsals don’t take priority over your health. Thank you for your help Doctor Choi.” Moxy bowed while Hannah pushed the group out the door, through the stadium and to the parking lot where a car was already waiting for them.

The ride back was quiet, all the girls were rocked physically and emotionally from what happened to Aurora but nobody felt that more than the maknae herself. Now that the painkillers were kicking in, the pain was ebbing away. But the sight of her bandaged forearm was an ugly reminder of what happened. Finally the familiar front of their hotel greeted their eyes. Slowly, all four women dragged their bodies through the ornate lobby to the elevators. The maknae knew after everything that had happened, there was no way her unnies would leave her alone. But she just wanted a second to process. Aurora tugged on her leader’s sleeve. She mouthed the words, Code: Alone Time. Migyeong pursed her lips but nodded, everyone in NCT respected the codes. When the elevator opened, Moxy herded Juno and Hannah to her room leaving Aurora to enter hers. There was a bit of push back but one look silenced them. Aurora closed the door and flopped onto her bed finally able to breathe.

With nothing else to do, Aurora took a nap, taking care not to lay on her bandaged arm.

Aurora didn’t know how long she was asleep until she felt fingers running through her hair, gently undoing the slight tangles. Aurora could tell it was Hannah. Her other members weren’t ones for gentle wake up calls.

“Eunji-ah? You awake?” Hannah murmured. Her fingers were pulling away but the maknae pushed her head back into her unnie’s palm. A soft smile grew on Hannah’s face, fingers continuing their mission. It was rare for Aurora to let her maknae tendencies loose.

“You gotta get up. It’s time to head to the venue.” The elder got a hum in response but neither moved to get up. Hannah wasn’t in a hurry to rush the younger singer. Aurora was strong but that didn’t mean she was immune to shock or pain. If she wasn’t ready then they’d postpone until Aurora was.

“I wanna inform the fans…about what happened.” she sat up, stroking her arm softly, “I don’t want them to worry when they see this bandage tonight.”

Hannah reached over ruffling Aurora hair, “I think we can make that happen. But first we gotta visit the doc and get that gauze changed.”

The group was originally rumored to have 9 members because of the pre-debut group that was originally formed for their debut, named IN-SYNC, but two were cut out of the lineup before debut and their identities are currently unknown, not much has been revealed about them other than clips of the group pre-debut that may have showcased these ‘hidden’ members. After the release of their first song ‘in my dreams’ starcrush spiraled into a period of success and fame, that quickly turned into one of a darker path.

INFATUATION PART 2

SUMMARY: After an icy encounter with Tan during the Intergalactic festival, LJs infatuation causes some tension within the group.

A door slams shut and LJ was pushed towards a chair forcefully. The two figures practically holding him hostage stood in front of the study room door, arms crossed and faces pinched with anger. "What was that shit you pulled, Jaehwan?" Alexander growled.

Van stepped forward, chewing the inside of his cheek as he tried to choose his words carefully. "You embarrassed our group. And you disrespected a junior. Can you not let your fascination with Kay go?"

Alexander scoffed, rolling his eyes. "He has a thing for girls who are off-limits," he waves his hand in the air. "We went through this with Jihye, remember? And Jieun-Noona! You think you're hot shit, right?" He snaps.

There was a history between the two that left a sour taste in Alexander's mouth. The sneaky flirts and constant comments about Jihye had caused tension between the two members. And LJ even had the audacity to come at his own Hyung about dating another trainee at that time.

"Can't I just have a little fun, Hyung? There's no harm in it." LJ mumbles, not bothering to look his members in the eye. He was like a cat playing with a mouse.

"Don't be dumb," Van says, his voice raising an octave. "What you're doing is weird, bordering on sexual harassment. Do you really not see that? Why did you touch her after being explicitly told to back off?"

During the final artist performance at the festival, LJ had stood particularly close to her and at one moment, his hand brushed her back when he walked behind her. "I told you! She lost lost her balance and I was reaching out to stop her from falling!" He says loudly, the usual smug look on his face was gone. It was the truth - Kay's heel had hit a bump in the stage and caught her off guard. He instinctively reached out, not even thinking, and had no nefarious intentions.

Alexander sighs, sitting down before speaking. "Then why get all cocky about it to her boyfriend, huh? Do you get off on that crap or something?" He wanted to keep his cool but it was hard. All he could think of were the times he went around flirting with Jihye. Even after he found out the two were dating, he still made some comments to Alexander here and there.

"Its just harmless fun. That Tan is annoying and thinks he's all that."

Van snorted, rolling his eyes. "Hi-larious coming from the man whose ego is bigger than his own dick." Jaehwan tilts his head, a snicker leaving him as he leans back in his chair. The boys often ribbed each other like this so he took no offense.

"Jai is too nice to ever say these things to your face, so I'm taking the initiative right now: you're going to stop this crap. Stop messing with girls who deny your advances. Stop thinking you're hot shit who can make any woman leave their man. You're a better person than this and I fucking know it. I'm going to Yuri and the others about you because you need to be knocked back a few steps." Alexander was stern and his furious gaze dug into Jaehwan like hot fire pokers.

"What? You know what will happen of you do! We have a comeback soon!" He says, his voice raising in frustration and disbelief.

Van gives him a sympathetic look. "Yeah, I know. It blows - but maybe use your time off to think about how you've been acting. How your actions affect others, yeah?"

Jaehwan huffed, growling softly as he stood up and began to pace. "You make me out to be a predator!" He yells, though shame was starting to consume him.

"You're used to fans accepting every little wink, thrust and flirt that leaves you. It's gone to your head. Not every woman wants that." Alexander says, surprisingly calm. "You ruined my relationship with Jihye, you know? Your advances made her so uncomfortable that I had no choice but to break up with her so you'd leave her alone!" It seemed foolish at the time, but LJ had only started moving in once he realized she was off the market.

"Hyung -"

"No," Alexander intercepts, standing up as the younger boy spun around, "I don't want anymore excuses. My mind has been made up. This is your final chance to redeem yourself otherwise you will be gone and we'll make sure of it."

The left Jaehwan standing there, stunned. He paced the room a bit more, releasing a frustrated growl before finally calming down and leaving the room a nearly a half an hour later.

It didn’t take long after that for him to receive a text from his manager demanding he visit the CEOs office at once.

Say hi to Chohee! Born in Jeju, South Korea, she worked under her father at his restaurant, then at the farmers market. Chohee grew up helping to support her family, placing them before herself. Her father wasn't supportive at first but decided to let it go when her brother offered to work twice as hard to take her place and in return, she had to put him in a house by the sea when she made it big. Whenever something sad happened while she was training and she wanted to give up, she would call her brother who would show her support and tell her to keep going for the both of them. When she was added to Adora, she was ecstatic.

Summary: April didn't mean to come in between Soobin and Arin, but now that she was, she didn't want to stop

April wasn't opposed to the attention she was getting.

She loved the attention and thought it was funny that everyone all of a sudden wanted to be around her. It was like ever since she stepped into the spotlight, everyone all of a sudden thought she was the diamond of the season.

Now there is someone's attention she wanted.

"Ah, April. I brought you some water from the break room. I heard you couldn't find it so I brought it for you."

April smiled at the boy walking towards her holding a water bottle with a smile on his face. He wore a simple blue sweater and jeans, his black hair framing his eyes well. She thought he looked so cute; cuter than any of the boys that had been flirting with her, cuter than any of the trainees in her company that she had dated.

"Thanks, Soobin. I really appreciate it," April smiled as he handed the water to her, his eyes bright as he listened and told her it was no problem. April wondered what was behind those bright eyes; maybe he was so sweet and innocent. Maybe it was all a cover.

She had met Soobin when the group's promotions began. He was an MC for the Music Bank, so she saw him around a lot. He would stare at her during interviews and when seeing her around. So, after a few days of noticing his lingering eyes, she approached him and he had been glued to her ever since. "Do you have any plans for the weekend?"

"My group had this trip planned out for this weekend but we decided to move it." Soobin nodded as April spoke, listening fully and ignoring the words of the people walking through the hallway. His eyes moved to the ceiling lights as he thought about something, then returned to her immediately. ''Would you like to hang out, then? I know of some great shops we can go to." He sounded so nervous, like a boy asking out his first love after hurriedly confessing to them. It made April smile, which then made Soobin smile. Before she could respond, a hand came to hold Soobin's, making her smile drop. The perfectly manicured hand squeezed his as her frame came from around him, Soobin's smile only widening as she looked up at him. April could feel her lip twitch as she watched the girl steal the attention of the boy she just had, plastering a smile on her face to say "Hi Arin. How are you?"

Arin was the other MC of Music Bank and Soobin's girlfriend. She seemed to be very possessive of him and would be attached to him at the hip. April assumed that if she could have Soobin handcuffed to her for the rest of her life, she would. Arin smiled at April, leaning to let her head rest on Soobin's chest as she pouted about how much she missed her "Soobinnie" and wanted to come see him.

'That didn't answer my question bitch, and honestly, I don't care about how much you miss your soobinnie' April thought. She tried to keep up her smile as she decided to make her exit, waving goodbye before leaving the two in the hallway. She made sure that she was farther away from the hallway before throwing away the water bottle, her smile dropping as she returned to her group's waiting room. When the girls noticed her annoyed appearance, they all asked what happened. April plopped down onto the couch before laying her head back against the back of it, sighing as she talked about Soobin and Arin. Naeun scoffed, flipping through her magazine as her stylist finished her hair. "Arin keeps her little Soobinnie around her fingers like he's a ring."

"She is downright obsessed with him," Amber laughed. Their manager came into the room soon after Amber finished laughing, telling the girls that it was time for them to head to the interview area. April notably sprung up, knowing that she was going to get to see Soobin again and see his eyes on her once more and not Arin. As the girls walked down the hallway, their manager tapped her back. "Be careful, April. I know the game you're playing and trust me: it might not end the way you want this to." April nodded at her manager's words, the words repeating in her mind until she saw him; then the words left her.

Nothing was wrong with playing a few games, right?

She smiled as she walked into the interview room with her members, standing at the side of the line closest to Soobin, which Arin noticed. She noticed how Soobin's eyes lit up when he talked to April and noticed how he smiled at her the same way he did to her. Call her jealous or possessive, but she didn't like how close those two were.

And April couldn't blame her.

It was obvious that she and Soobin had some chemistry, which some fans later noted on social media; they looked good together.

They looked like a couple.

April loved reading the comments and tweets fans made about it, the words boosting her ego as she went to meet Soobin that same Sunday. She saved some of her favorites and then placed her phone into her pocket as she reached his dorm. She knew it sounded crazy, but she believed she and Soobin looked better than him and Arin.

And in the entertainment industry, appearance is sometimes everything.

"Ready to go?" April nodded as Soobin joined her outside, putting on his cap and mask as they began walking to the shops he had been talking about. The conversation between the two flowed so easily and jokes kept the two laughing. It made April feel so connected to him, and he had no way to deny that he felt the same way.

After a day of getting Ice Cream, Cafe hopping, clothes shopping and more, they returned to his dorm, where they danced and chilled in his room. April sat on his bed as he put on some music on, then joined her by sitting next to her. They had begun to get close and slightly touchy throughout the day, which April didn't mind. As they continued to talk, they slowly moved closer together and soon were touching via knees. He had one hand resting behind her that he was leaning on as he told a joke, April looking up at him as he spoke. He paused mid-joke as his eyes met hers, a small smirk coming onto her lips as she noticed his eyes flickering to her lips. His bright eyes slowly darkened as she moved closer to his lips, Soobin only closing his eyes. April wanted to know he wanted this; that he wanted her.

She paused so that their noses were touching, her eyes opening to meet his. The two paused in their positions before Soobin closed the gap, kissing her softly. April smiled into the kiss, her hand moving to cup his cheek as he slowly moved her so she fell back, his lips moving with hers in perfect sync. He had no thoughts about Arin, only about April; just the way she liked.

After a few minutes, he pulled back so they both could breathe, Soobin's eyes staring at her lips before he hastily cupped April's face, pulling her close to kiss her once more. The music in the background drowned out as he pulled her so she was on top of him, her hands moving into his hair.

"What about Arin?" She asked breathly as Soobin let his lips move down her neck, the boy asking a muffled "what about her?"

"You two are still together" she hissed softly as he left a small hickey. "She's still your girlfriend."

"Do you want me to leave her for you?"

April pulled back at his words, Soobin's head falling back against his pillow to stare up at her. At that moment, she could tell what was behind his eyes; desperation, want, need.

She said nothing as she reconnected her lips to his, her actions telling him what to do as he flipped the two over, caging her in.

"Ok, final interview for this promotion so make it good."

April nodded as her members got ready, lining up before the camera as the MCs entered. Soobin bowed to the girls before saying a small hello to April, which she returned. Arin had begun to avoid the girl, finding her closeness with Soobin to be annoying.

After the interview was done, Arin immediately came over to ask Soobin if he wanted to come to dinner. April didn't say anything as she passed her and followed her members out of the room, pausing by the door to turn and face Soobin, who met her eyes then returned them to Arin. "I'll meet you outside in the car. I have something I have to do real quick." April smiled as Arin pecked his lips, skipping out to go outside. April packed up with her members, purposely dropping her phone to be on the ground next to the couch before walking with her members outside to put everything into the car, pausing to "check her pockets." She told them she had to run and find her phone real quick, her members and manager all understanding. When April returned to the room and picked up her phone, she turned to face Soobin coming in, closing and locking the door behind him. He had a smile on his face, opening his arms to let April rush into it, kissing him softly. "Did you find your phone?" He teasingly asked, taking your phone hand to tap against your side, which made her laugh. "Maybe. Or maybe I just wanted to meet up with you and see you before you head to dinner with your girlfriend."

Soobin noticed the tone of her voice, kissing her softly as he slipped her phone into her pocket. "Just until we're both no longer MCs. I'll break up with her the day we're both done so we can get together."

Appearance is everything.

April joined her members in the SUV with her phone after a few more minutes with Soobin, no one the wiser as they began to drive back to the dorms, past Arin's car that Soobin was getting into.

Dizzying Thoughts

In Osaka

“Unnie-yah, You ate right? I didn’t see you grab anything.” Juno sat down with her full plate in catering. The younger barely missed the leader's wince. Moxy’s face snapped back into a neutral position when Juno looked up.

“Yeah I had some food earlier.”

In Madrid

“Migyeong-ah, I didn’t see you eat today. You’ve had something right?” Soonjae asked her charge while Moxy adjusted her mic.

“I ate a granola bar Unnie. You know how my stomach is before a show. I promise to eat after.” Before Soonjae could respond, The stage director started rehearsal.

“What did you order last night, Gyeongie?” Hannah luckily was lounging on one of the beds in Moxy’s room while the aforementioned leader was finishing up her skincare in the bathroom. It’s lucky cause Hannah missed the flash of panic that racked thru older’s body while she thought of an answer.

“Uhh…..I got a……burger?”

“Really?” Hannah sat up, “I got one too but Kenji-oppa never mentioned getting you one too.”

“He must have gotten mine earlier than you.” Moxy walked out the bathroom, praying her face didn’t betray her.

The members of AG and their tour crew were crowded around two long tables with piles of food lining each one. The group was celebrating ending the European leg of AG’s tour with a final show in London tonight. While her members and staff sat around talking jovially and devouring the food laid out for them, Moxy sat hunched over. Moving the food around on her plate, illuding that she was eating. But Moxy had been doing quite the opposite for a while now.

See, our precious leader has an anxious stomach. Sometimes things get so severe that the sight of food nauseates her. Leading to the rapper going on stage with nothing for her body to feed off of for three hours of vigorous dancing and exhausting singing. Nervousness mostly affects her before big moments in her career. Her first stage of Limitless. The first time she sang You Don’t Know Me. Her first recording session for Something Like A Party. You get the point.

It was never something she couldn’t manage. Once her worries were disproven, she’d take the time to eat and everything would be right with the world. Noone would be none the wiser. The first time it got real bad was during 127’s tour, Neo City - The Origin. Moxy was so nervous. Anxious over how each crowd would receive her. Everytime the boys offered her food she shrugged it off, promising to eat later at the hotel. Then she’d there and a whole new batch of fearful thoughts crept into her brain, taking her appetite with them.

This went on for a weeks. Regretfully, all of 127 were just starting to get along. So the boys weren’t tuned into Moxy behavior until it was too late. After the group's show in Phoenix, Moxy collapsed as soon as she made it backstage. Nobody had a clue what was wrong so Soonjae made the decision to call an ambulance. She was diagnosed with low blood sugar and was forced to spend the night for observation. The managers knew they had to get to Houston. They all could tell getting them to leave would be like pulling teeth so they rebooked flights. Migyeong got the scolding of her life from Johnny when she came to. She proceeded to get smothered within an inch of her life between the arms of Doyoung and Taeyong.

127 had a serious talk about what Moxy had been going through after the next show. Jaehyun and Doyoung paired up on ways to help the rapper get past her nerves before they got on stage and it worked. As the tour went forward, with her members help, Moxy was able to stomach small meals and snacks before performing. Anytime another attack came, she knew her members would be right there to help even when Moxy had to fly back to Korea for AG’s debut.

Before AG left for their tour, Johnny talked to her about keeping up with meals.

“I’m seriously Migyeong-ah. I do not want to hear about you fainting while I’m here and you’re across the country.” Moxy grabbed Johnny’s hand. She felt the same concerns but she was better now.

“It won’t get to that point and if it does I’ll tell Hannah. You know she doesn’t play with any of our health.” Moxy continued to pack. She missed her oppa’s concerned gaze.

Now almost a month later and it was worse. Moxy was lucky to fly under Hannah's radar while the second oldest fretted over Aurora and her healing burn. As she looked around at the others happily shoveling food into their mouths, it nauseated her even further. Moxy pushed her plate away, ready to escape the stuffy restaurant into the sweet silence of her hotel room. But her actions caught the attention of her dongsaeng.

“Unnie have you even eaten anything? Your plate still looks full.” Juno stole a piece of the elders chicken. The leader had to fight off the look of disgust. Then the question registered in her brain. If Moxy was in an anime, that one sweat drop would be right next to her forehead.

“Oh! That's just because….. I grabbed more food than I can handle. Don’t wanna be too bloated before tomorrow.” She rubbed her stomach to sell the lie.

“Are you girls excited?” Soonjae interrupted, “The crowd last night was crazy. I swear they’re the loudest we’ve heard so far.”

Hannah snorted, “Yeah lets hope we don’t get another crying session courtesy of Aurora.” Aurora reached out to smack Hannah’s shoulder but the elder ducked out of the way. “YAH! I told you that was because my nanan was in the crowd.” Happy to have the attention off of her, Moxy slumped down in her chair.. The nauseous feeling dulling down. Maybe once she gets to the hotel, she’d be up to eating something.

Yeah, she could do that. Just make it to the hotel.

/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\

That hotel meal didn’t happen. After dinner finished, Moxy had every intention of ordering something small but the girls were called to the venue to do some testing and last minute rehearsals. They didn’t finish until 3am. By that time, food was the furthest thing from the leader’s mind. She crashed as soon as her body hit the bed.

Breakfast and lunch didn’t cross Moxy’s mind either. Even after a flawless show yesterday, Moxy woke up worried. She didn’t want to underperform especially when their fans had paid money to see them at their best. The leader went through the motions all day. Time passing in a daze of anxiety. She blinked and the group were being ushered to their places. During the entire opening, Moxy fought off several bouts of blurriness. The rapper was lucky her spots were drilled into her brain. She could find a formation blindfolded.

Nobody questioned if something was wrong……at least until the dizzy spells started.

Come on….not now… Moxy thought as another wave of dizziness washed over her after the girl group cover section. The results of her mistake had been growing and growing all night. Honestly, the stories of adrenaline doing crazy things to the human body was a fact to her now. Moxy had no idea how she made it through this much of the concert with passing out.

She couldn’t wait until the show was over so she could finally eat.

In the middle of the cordi noona’s helping her change for the next stage, Moxy felt her legs give out for a moment before she caught herself. The noona’s around her shared a look but Moxy waved them off. “Just lost my balance.” reassuring everyone

Come on girl……two sets then you’re home free.

Everything was moving in slow motion. Every step felt like it took minutes. Moxy barley felt the hands ripping clothes off and replacing them with the ones she needed for the encore.

The noise around her turned into sludge. The rapper was incapable of distinguishing what anyone was saying around her. She didn’t even notice when her members surrounded her.

“Noona?”

“Moxy..can…..you…..hear……”

“Is…..-thing…..on.”

The world around her felt far away. Like she was floating into a dark abyss. The arena’s backstage a small box as she lifted off.

Moxy didn’t even register when she hit the ground.

Her eyes opened to the concerned eyes of Soonjae.

Moxy’s brain caught up before her body. The memories of the night coming like photos in her brain. Skipping meals. Feeling sluggish just as the concert started. The dark spots in her vision as she looked out at the thousands of fans. The dizziness giving way to exhaustion finally taking her out. Confusion, recognition then panic rattled through her. She sat up but another sudden wave of dizziness almost sent her back down. Soonjae tried to push her back but Moxy twisted away.

The director ran in, “I don’t know how much longer we can stall.”

Hannah’s eyes snapped over, anger blasing, “You better find time. Migyeong’s not awake yet but when she does there's no way she’s going on stage yet.”

“Actually look who's joined us.” At Soonjae’s voice, three faces snap to Moxy’s place on the couch. All wearing different expressions: one pissed, one of concern and another of relief. They crowded around the leader but instead of assuring them she was ok. Moxy went against Hannah’s words.

“Yes….I am.” Moxy was finally able to say after the dizziness faded. She tried getting up but Hannah pinned her with a dark look.

“Moxy you just passed out. No way are we performing the encore.” Hannah was ready to argue back but Moxy glared.

“Good thing you're not the leader.” Four pairs of arms reached out as Moxy stood up, wobbling a bit in place but quickly steadying herself, “I was only out for a couple minutes. We’re going out there and finishing this show.” Everyone tried to object but Moxy just held her hand up. “I’ll take it easy but we are going out there and that’s final.” Nobody said anything. Well nobody had the courage to.

Hannah, Juno and Aurora worried over the leader's condition but they all knew she wouldn’t change her mind. Slowly everyone resumed their tasks. Three women surrounded Moxy to fix her makeup and clothes. Practically erasing the past four minutes from reality.

The girls ran to reenter the stage while the music started up for Our Time Is Here. Several mangers followed behind the eldest, making sure she made it to the stage safely. Before Moxy walked out, Soonjae grabbed her hand.

“Answer me one thing? Have you been eating?” Moxy’s silence was answer enough. She couldn’t even look Soonjae in the eye.

If looks could kill, Moxy wouldn’t be walking into a stadium full of cheers from the crowd. She’d be in for an earful when they got back to the hotel.

Moxy stayed back to get checked by the doctor while her other members left for the hotel. Maybe I won’t get chewed out tonight Moxy though as the car pulled into the hotel's parking lot. The dread built as she walked through the lobby to the elevators. The leader dragged her body down the hall, feet sliding on the carpeted floor. She swayed on her feet, fumbling with the key to unlock her door.

She could feel the embrace of her bed close by but instead of a blissfully cold bed, there sat Hannah with a full bag of food and holding a phone, Moxy sighed knowing what she was in for.

“Oppa’s on the phone for you.” Hannah held the phone out for the leader to take.

“Taeyong-oppa?” She said, hopeful.

“No…..Johnny-oppa.”

“Shit…” Hope’s shattered, Moxy plopped down on the chair across from Hannah. The dancer focused on taking out the food while Moxy braced herself for a pissed off Johnny.

“Yeobeoseyo?”

“........Thea Marie Thompson.”

“Oppa before you start—”

“Don’t even try it, Thea.” Moxy’s mouth snapped shut. She could feel Johnny's anger through the phone.

“I can’t believe I’m talking to you about this. You promised me we would not repeat what happened during Regular promotions. You promised me you’d eat, Thea. But now not only am I getting calls from Soonjae but from Hannah about you passing out and still going back on stage.” Hearing Johnny’s retelling of what happened tonight made Moxy feel worse than she already did. Maybe things had gotten bad and she just didn’t want to acknowledge it.

“I did and it wasn’t going that far. At least I didn’t think it was. I…I was only skipping food before the show. I tried to eat after..…but things got hectic. And that's on me. My nerves have been getting to me and I felt like I couldn’t stomach anything. So I kept going because I had to” Both sides of the line were quiet. “I’m sorry for not calling for help.”

“Tell me why I shouldn’t fly out to make sure you’re eating before every show.”

“Hannah’s already got food sitting in front me.” Moxy looked out at the impressive spread Hannah was able to put together between the ending of the show and the car ride to the hotel.

“You should have told Hannah beforehand.”

“I thought I could handle it okay! I’m not some little kid Johnny. I’m a young adult who made a mistake and went past her limits” She heard Johnny sigh on the other end.

“You’re right…..You’re right you are an adult. But can you blame me for being concerned? Last time this happened, you landed in hospital with no one knowing what was wrong. I never want any of us to go through that again.” Moxy didn’t like to think about her last stretch of not eating. All of her memories revolved around the worried looks of the 127 members as they surrounded her hospital bed.

“I’m sorry Johnny. I promise to keep a closer watch on my food intake.”

“And I promise to help her.” Hannah chimed in, making Johnny and Moxy laugh. “Don’t worry oppa, we’ll get our leader back on track.” Hannah placed a container of food in front of Moxy and a fork. Before he hung up, Johnny told Hannah to take photo evidence of Moxy eating and send it to him. To ease his worries.

Moxy finally dug into the delicious food Hannah had ordered. It’s not weird to cry over really good food, right?

“So what happens?” Hannah asked between bites.

“What do you mean?”

“When it feels like you can’t eat. What runs through your head.” Moxy blew a raspberry trying to think of how to answer that.

“I guess….I overthink about everything. The performance and my vocals. I want everything to be perfect for the fans. I don’t want to disappoint them. Those thoughts…..they run through my brain like a hamster wheel. I get overwhelmed then my stomach gets queasy. You know what happens next.” Moxy took another bite of her food.

The members of 127 set up a code word to help Moxy through these anxious moments. Code: Underwater. Anytime her emotions took over, Moxy could text one of the members at any time. They in turn would help calm her down and get a couple bites of food down in Moxy’s system. The more she thought about it. The more the truth behind her regression became apparent. She was AG’s leader. Calling her older members for help with her anxiety felt like she was being a baby. Someone that wasn’t fit to lead a team, especially when they were away from home.

Luckily, she has the greatest members on the planet. Who would never think less of her for having anxieties.

“Even if you made a mistake you could never disappoint anyone. Not us and much less the fans, okay?” Moxy nodded. It would be difficult reaching out at first. But she never wanted to worry her members again. Not when it can be stopped beforehand. Taking Hannah’s words to heart, The oldest began to eat with earnest, savoring every bite.

As they ate, Aurora and Juno joined them with their own food. The four of them crowded around the small table, sharing what they had between them. Moxy knew the younger two wanted to be close after she scared them today.

The members decided to screw bedtime and just stay up. They scrolled through instagram, played music, danced and even caught up with some of the members. They all needed a night like this. After all, the tour just started. AG had a long way to go.

⋆ ׅ ، ࣪ STARCRUSH is a fictional seven member co-ed group under Melody Media. Starcrush debuted in 2019 after the formation of their pre-debut group, IN-SYNC. Below are the profiles of the current members of STARCRUSH.

𖤐 ˖ ࣪ I WANNA BE, HIGH ALL THE TIME ── wang shanyuan

Wang Shanyuan, more commonly known by his stage name, Yuan, is the leader of starcrush. Born in Hangzhou, China, it was always somewhat of a struggle for Yuan growing up. The only reason they were living in Hangzhou, was because he had other family members there, who had offered to support his family, when in need. Yuan was only fluent in Mandarin and didn’t have much knowledge about any other languages in the world which was a struggle when he moved to Korea later on in his life.

Despite his home life, Yuan was extremely popular at school, due to his likeable personality and supposedly ‘good looks’ that were said to be charming to many students. This was the opposite for his sister, Wang Liling, who was constantly bullied for being the worst ‘Wang Sibling’. Yuan chose to ignore his sister’s wishes for help, not wanting to bruise his reputation until she ended up in hospital because of a damaging incident. This was what soured the relationship between the two and caused them to grow distant, Yuan still attempting to fix the relationship from time to time with no success or progress.

March of 2017, was the last time Yuan saw China, as a few days later, he moved to Korea for undisclosed reasons. During his stay, he ended up making a few friends, without knowing much of the language. He quickly started to learn the language, in hopes of being a translator in the future when he stumbled across being an Idol as a career. Yuan had never thought about it before, but he had always excelled in music during high school and he also happened to be a good dancer. So when he heard Melody Media were holding auditions close to his home, he took the opportunity and landed a spot in the pre-debut group IN-SYNC.

IN-SYNC soon disbanded as a pre-debut group in perpetration for the confirmed group’s initial debut. After many altercations and changes to the lineup, Yuan debuted with STARCRUSH on April 12th, 2019 with the viral song ‘In My Dreams’. He is currently the group’s leader, sub vocalist & lead dancer.

𖤐 ˖ ࣪ HOPE YOU DON’T REGRET IT ── kang haesoo

Kang Haesoo, more famously known by her pseudonym, Star, was born in Changwon, South-Korea to two wealthy parents. Haesoo was an only child and was constantly given money and attention by her parents since they had no other children. This would make Haesoo seem spoiled and ungrateful to the other students that attended her middle & high school so they gave her the nickname of 'Kang Princess' to both make fun of, as well as annoy her. Haesoo attempted to ignore the constant teasing by her classmates, but it was extremely hard for her, especially when she knew what they were saying was true, she just didn't want to accept it.

When she was younger, Haesoo had already been heavily involved in child acting, her parents thrusting her into the spotlight at an early age with commercials and a few roles in tv shows and movies. This continued until she quit acting in Early 2015. She often spent time alone, being wealthy was one thing, but having zero friends was another problem. Nobody wanted to be friends with a 'spoiled rich girl' and because of this, Haesoo stayed home most days, never going out like normal teens her age would.

Spending all her time locked away in her room, studying, writing rap lyrics, or doing absolutely nothing, is what caused Haesoo to become increasingly more interested in the idol industry, and when she did, she was very eager to be apart of it. Previously, she had heard and watched many idols perform, but she didn't think about what it would be like if she was up on stage, always on camera. But when she finally did, it seemed to become a huge dream for her and she would not stop mentioning it to her parents. However, Haesoo struggled to find an entertainment that accepted her. Some offered to let her in without an audition, due to her parents wealth, but she insisted on passing with her own talents to do things without always involving money.

The last company she auditioned for, was Melody Media, and it was her last hope. If the audition didn't go well, Haesoo decided that she would just have to quit her dream and continue focusing on studying every other week. Fortunately, she passed her audition and started her life as a trainee in the middle of 2016. Shortly after, she was added to the lineup for the pre-debut group, IN-SYNC, and started training with the rest of the group until she debuted in STARCRUSH as the group's main rapper and sub vocalist.

𖤐 ˖ ࣪ WISH I DIDN’T DOUBT IT ── cho michae

Born in 2000, Cho Michae was born in Perth, Australia along with three other siblings. From a young age, it was clear Michae was going to have a career in music. She had always dreamed of playing an instrument and was exceptional at both singing and dancing. This is what led Michae to start playing the violin as well as the guitar throughout Elementary and Middle school. Nearing the start of High School, she still stuck to the violin and dropped guitar once she realized that she was struggling to keep up with both, and she had just recently joined the school’s choir. Michae then transferred to the Australian Performing Arts Grammar School, in Glebe, Australia, for better education opportunities for her to pursue a musical career.

During her High School days, she was part of a popular band named ‘DAYDRUM’ where she was the lead guitarist and occasionally featured in the vocalist role, but since she had stopped playing the guitar a while ago, it was difficult for her to learn how to play again. A few years after the band was created, Michae realized that it just wasn’t for her and officially quit, still pursuing other interests and instruments in her spare time. This was around the time where she was emailed by Melody Media after they watched her final performance together with the band when it went viral after its upload on youtube, with it being plastered on every single social media platform. This email is what pushed Michae to attempt to enter their online global auditions, in the hopes of being accepted.

In Winter of 2015, She was accepted into Melody Media and immediately placed in the trainee group IN-SYNC. Without her family’s consent, she moved to Korea, ready to start training whenever she could. Despite her place in IN-SYNC she was later sent to participate in the M-NET produced survival show, PRODUCE 101. Michae placed 14th overall in the show, which didn’t really matter to her as she was promised a debut either way. The company expressed their thoughts on Michae being a rapper, which she shot down very quickly as she had no experience in rapping, but Melody Media insisted and she then took classes to aid her in grey areas up until debut. She then debuted in STARCRUSH as the group’s main rapper & main dancer.

𖤐 ˖ ࣪ IT DOESN’T MATTER IF WE’RE NEVER RICH OR FAMOUS ── kim theo

Kim Theo’s parents had disappeared and left him at a young age, so, he had always lived with his Aunt and Uncle, along with his cousins in Leicester, England. Ever since he was five years old, Theo had always been interested in being an idol as soon as he saw 2PM & SHINee on the big screen. But, his legal guardians were not very supportive or appreciative of the idea. Theo often felt isolated inside the home and it felt as if he didn’t belong there, or as if he was intruding on them constantly. He was taken care of and cared for properly, but his Aunt & Uncle refused to let him audition for any entertainment companies, explaining that it was a waste of time and that he could be doing bigger and better things in life than just one unattainable job he had wanted since childhood.

Something else that had stopped him from pursuing this dream, was an injury he sustained when he started to play football professionally for his school. Theo had severely fractured his ankle, meaning he wasn’t able to play for a year and it halted his plans to audition for entertainment companies that same year. During his recovery period, his parents finally decided to reach out to him, which angered Theo immensely and he refused to speak to them, despite their pleads for him to come back and live with them. At this point, Theo had given up on both football and being an idol. It seemed as if neither careers were going to be attainable after his injury and it felt as if everything in his life was going completely wrong, recovery was just too much for him.

Despite all this, his parents had still not given up on convincing him to live with them and decided to take it upon themselves to check him out of the hospital and tried to convince him to go home with them, which failed and a restraining order was immediately placed against the couple. Exactly a year after Theo’s incident, he had fully recovered but had clearly given up on being an idol when he was scouted in England by Melody Media after they had decided to look for more global idols for their company image. They scouted Theo mainly based on his looks, not asking for anything else during his audition and he was accepted through to the trainee section of the company.

In 2017, Theo was added to the lineup for IN-SYNC and soon after, he debuted in STARCRUSH as the group’s lead dancer & main vocalist.

𖤐 ˖ ࣪ I DIDN’T KNOW THEY WOULDN’T MIX WITH YOUR EMOTIONS ── hwang daehyun

Hwang Daehyun, better known as Dae, had been born into a very strict and professional household with a family full of successful people who were positive Daehyun would be successful too, and he was. Daehyun had plans to become a lawyer and was constantly throwing himself into studying and education so that he wouldn’t disappoint his family. This gave Daehyun a lot of stress and he lost a lot of free time just hauled upstairs and locked away, in order for him to impress everyone he knew. Whenever his friends or other family members asked him to hang out with them, he would always have to decline to make sure he didn’t fall behind on his studies.

He kept this up until he suddenly became sick due to the lack of nutrients he wasn’t getting, and he wasn’t eating any other supplements to help this out. Instead of being worried about his condition, his parents brushed it off and told him to keep working. They claimed the reason why he fell ill was because he ‘wasn’t working hard enough’ which sent Daehyun over the edge and he decided that he had to quit, even if it meant disappointing his parents. But surprisingly, they were supportive of him, realizing that they were a little too harsh on him and that they couldn’t control everything he did in his life.

Daehyun’s friends would often joke around about being an idol and that’s where his sudden interest sparked. At first, he played along joking about the idea but then it began to intrigue him, so he then started to research about it, which further catapulted him into a spiral of questions about the industry. After a long time of thinking, Daehyun finally realized that he was set on becoming an idol and introduced this idea to his parents. This took a lot of convincing and pleading since his parents were extremely surprised that he brought this up, and weren’t extremely sure if this was something he should go for. But, they finally caved in and allowed him to start auditioning for different companies. Daehyun had been constantly practicing and this meant that a range of labels were reaching out to him and accepting his auditions. Daehyun ended up choosing Melody Media as it was one of the closest to him and he didn’t want to have to separate from his family.

He was one of the last trainees to join the IN-SYNC lineup, being added last minute in 2018 just before the disbandment of the pre-debut group meaning he only spent a few months practicing with them but still managed to stay apart of the lineup, avoiding being cut off. In spring of 2019, Daehyun debuted in STARCRUSH as the lead rapper and lead vocalist.

𖤐 ˖ ࣪ I JUST HAD TO REACH MY GOALS ── yoo bonnie

Life in California was everything but peaceful for Yoo Bonnie. Her family were also extremely rich, but often neglected and chose to ignore Bonnie and the rest of her siblings, meaning that they had to focus on raising themselves & each other. Time together was barely enough for the family, and their Mother began to realize how unhealthy it was and took off with the four siblings. Things continued to be the same and nothing changed drastically, they were all still being ignored by the only parent they had left, so Bonnie got used to the same routine everyday. Bonnie and her siblings left their Mother to live with their Aunt in South Korea for the next 3 years.

This was where Bonnie gained interest in music, and a musical career. The idol life was all everyone talked about in Korea, especially in school and Bonnie wondered what it would be like too, after watching a few performances of SNSD most days when she came home from school. But she couldn’t speak much Korean at the time, and it was a struggle for her to communicate with her friends, teachers and other students, let alone sing in a whole other language. Bonnie was not exceptional at singing either and thought did a very long time, that her lack of vocal skills would be her downfall.

At that time, Bonnie’s older sister, Melanie, was taking dance classes and she had decided that she desperately wanted to join her as she had always found dancing fun and an interesting hobby to pick up since it didn’t seem very difficult. Bonnie was completely wrong, she often came home with bruises from continuously falling over and even sometimes, sprained limbs when she tried too hard to match her sister’s pace. A year since she had started dancing, was when Bonnie could finally keep up with the rest of the class, and began to go further than most each week. A few months later, and she had already been performing at festivals, and occasionally at her school.

It wasn’t until late 2017 when both her and her older sister, Annie, were scouted at one of Bonnie’s festivals where she was currently performing in along with Melanie, their aunt cheering them both on. One of Melody Media’s scouting crew persuaded her to audition for their company and after a long conversation, she finally gave in. Bonnie was accepted into Melody Media and joined the lineup for STARCRUSH in early 2019 as the last pre-debut member of IN-SYNC. She then debuted with STARCRUSH as the group’s main dancer & lead rapper.

𖤐 ˖ ࣪ I NEVER MEANT TO HURT YOU, THOUGH ── narumi miura

Miura Narumi, also known as Darling, was always a positive & vibrant person, even since birth. Narumi would always help out her family members and even her neighbours whenever they asked, this however, did not put her in a good spot. She was often picked on in school for being ‘naive’ and too ‘trusting’ when it came to who weren’t and who were her friends. This made Narumi often feel isolated from others and as if she didn’t have anyone else to talk to or simply just be around, since no one wanted to be near someone like her.

Narumi had always loved growing up in Japan, she loved her hometown and loved the fact that it was so easy to see her extended family members, but when it came to the time for her ti start thinking about her career, Narumi knew she didn’t want to stay stuck in Japan for the rest of her life. She didn’t have many options though, there wasn’t anything she excelled in or liked enough for her to make a career out of it, expect music. However, Narumi’s parents desperately wanted her to become a Doctor or a Teacher of some sort, which was exactly the opposite of what she wanted to be but they just would not let the idea go and continued to pressure her into it.

That was when she decided that she just couldn’t be near them anymore, and decided to go to South-Korea, alone. This decision was extremely hard for Narumi, because it meant living away from her family and going into a foreign country she knew nothing about and had no idea how to speak the language for a long period of time. Luckily for her, the rest of her family had soon followed behind her, not wanting to leave their daughter alone at such a young age. Whilst out with a few friends she had made in her short time in Korea, Narumi was scouted by Melody Media after they had heard a short few minutes of her singing.

Narumi was the last of the group to join the lineup and was a late addition, only being introduced after the disbandment of the pre-debut group IN-SYNC. She debuted in April, 2019 as the group’s lead vocalist & lead dancer.
