the keeho of the group. alayna's humour is for the elite only 😭 everyone's either scratching their heads or embarrassed whenever she opens her mouth 💀 definitely a shuhua kind of idol, enjoys messing with the fans and occasionally fights with them purely for amusement 😭 i do think alayna is a really good dancer though, good at popping and locking as well as great fluidity 🫶

Watching the MV to Bon Voyage last week. Not the first time, but then I turned the translated subs for the lyrics on and noticed some very lovely details and the story just. WHAM! hit me.

Sadly not! One day.

5. What’s the first thing you notice about people?

Vibe - usually based on their smile, I think, but general body posture and tone of voice does a lot, too. I’m sensitive to the energy people put out into the world.

15. Dream job?

I like what I’m doing right now - working with disadvantaged kids and traumatized parents. Not gonna do it forever, but I definitely wanna keep working in the social field and ideally with kids!

[struggle-but-its-all-ocean-floor]

This isn't a hate post toward LSF (I know this is the third critical post about them this week), but this is something I say about most kpop groups. I hate the idea that choreographies have to look hard. You see this the most in 4th gen groups, since compared to previous gens they are above average dancers but probably below average singers, so the focus is always on choreo. Their companies probably think: they're young, they're powerful, they're good dancers, so they must break their bodies every time, regardless of the song, or even if the choreo is good. I don't get it. Most choreos are intense for no reason. The boys just jump around a lot like they're doing a HIIT workout (debut era TXT, I'm looking at you especially), while the girls have to jump less and hop and shuffle across the room more, and also twirl around and drop to their knees and keep their hands up all the time, like they're in a Zumba class. I say this a lot but I really feel tired and lowkey stressed looking at them. They're exhausting themselves and breaking their bodies for mediocre choreos that could fit any group or song (it doesn't help that most groups share choreographers).

Now, regarding LSF, pls, explain to me in what way the Blue Flame choreo fits the song? Maybe it fits the lyrics but I didn't even watch the whole video because I found it so exhausting to watch the girls move nonstop for no reason while keeping a fake smile on their faces like they're not tired. It's obvious they're not meant to sing the song, because they couldn't sing and dance it well even if they wanted to. A good choreo tells a story that is unique to the song, and to the group, and has moments of tension and relaxation so that the whole choreo doesn't blend in together and so that the audience has the chance to take it in and be impressed. It should also highlight each member and the group's strengths and weaknesses. Yet, many gg choreos make the members look awkward. I mean, who the fuck OK-ed After Like? I swear IVE's team really needs to give them choreos they can pull off. Kitsch is too difficult for them imo, but they still did well, and look at how well they pulled off I AM? After Like made them look bad and it's genuinely mindblowing that no one thought to change the choreo...

Anyway, kpop is all about the performance for some people, but the best part about it to me is still very much the music and the idols themselves.

I think the physical training I'm going to is starting to work, I think my stamina is a bit better. I used to get really tired after like 15 minutes of dance workouts and today I did three times that no problem. I think learning a few parts of kpop choreos also helped with my rhythm, ability to follow the instructors and grasp the moves quicker. I danced to a video that I vividly remember struggling with and not being able to get it right like a year ago and now it was really not a problem, not only with a certain part but also with enjoying myself.

Today also rekindled my love for zumba and reminded me that I could be an instructor one day and I dunno, the thought was comforting because I've been recently having those thoughts of not being able to find a job in the future. But there's so much I can do, I'll figure something out

Who is Ma-Anne Joyce?

Ma-Anne Joyce Y. Santos, my family calls me Ma-Anne or Ma-Anne Joyce, but my friends call me "Ma" cause sometimes Ma-Anne is to long for them.😅

Fun fact: She is the youngest in their family and she is the only girl. (STRICT PARENTS ALERT!!)

One of my hobby is doing TikTok dance videos, it helps me lessen my stress and sadness whenever I feel down and unmotivated. I also love to sing and listen to different genre of music.

Fun fact: She love BTS, a Kpop group that helped her to overcome her anxiety and to keep moving to reach her dreams.

Let's talk about my college life. I am taking up Bachelor in Physical and Health Education. I'm on my last year at Philippine Normal University - Manila. PNU-Manila was my dream school ever since I was in junior high school and luckily and thankfully I passed the exam and now I will be part of the graduating class of Batch 2022.

Why did she choose teaching?

Why teaching? Teaching is the profession where I see myself grow and improve. Sharing my knowledge is what I want, teaching is what I love.

Ever since I was a kid it is my dream to be a teacher. My heart flutters whenever I see kids having fun while learning.

I see teaching as my passion where I would help my students grow and discover new things about them and they could help me grow and improve myself as well. For me teaching is not only a job, but it is what I love and I see it as my purpose in life.

Practice Teaching Journey

I was deployed at Victorino Mapa High School, under the supervision of my Cooperating Teacher, Ms. Kc-Lyn C. Sahagun. We are also observed by the MAPEH Department Head, Ms. Menchie Portento and supported by the principal, Mr. Robert P. Velasquez.

We were task to lead the V. Mapa's Zumba Exercise and it felt tiring yet refreshing. It has been 2 years since we have experienced this and it is one of the meaningful things that we had at V. Mapa High School.

One of our project that made us feel refresh, tired and happy.

This was my final teaching demonstration, that was observed by my CT, Ms. Kc-Lyn C. Sahagun and my Supervising Professor, Mr. Enrico Richard Urgelles.

This experience was memorable, since it is my first time handling a face-to-face class. It may not be done as what I expected but still I delivered it well and full of confidence.

My partner and I both handles the face-to-face class of Grade 7 - SS1, and we divided the remaining sections for online class. I'm handling the remaining students of SS1 for online class and also I'm handling SS2 and section 5 of grade 7 and I've teached them Physical Education and Health subject.

Fun fact: This set-up was really hard since the connection is not that strong and stable, but I felt relieved on surpassing the challenge was priceless.

Handling three sections in two (2) different modes of teaching is difficult but seeing my students enjoy the class made me feel happy and relieved that as a teacher I've done my role effectively.

A Glimpse of Her Realization

In this journey, I've realize that being a teacher doesn't stop from imparting our knowledge to our students, but that is only the beginning of it. The process is still on the run, whether our students has the retainment of the lesson given to them.
