Kuroo and Yaku only had a few days left before march break was over, they hadn’t really done much it had been rather rainy and cold so they mostly stayed inside until Kuroo randomly decided they needed to change that immediately and that’s how they ended up hiking for two and a half hours to go stargazing

It was corny really, one of those things you only see in romance novels and disney channel originals but Yaku was weirdly excited anyways.

They finally got to the top of the hill they picked just as the sun was setting they got out a lantern and the sandwiches they packed for dinner and talked for awhile about whatever came to mind until it got dark 

The two laid down, turned off the lanturn, and-

“Woah..” Yaku said under his breath, the sky was jaw-droppingly gorgeous, it was somehow black and blue and purple and pink all fading into eachother with little stars everywhere there wasn't even any clouds or light pollution disrupting the view it was just.. perfect

Yaku spared a glance at Kuroo and he looked about as mesmerized as Yaku felt, he smiled fondly, Kuroo looked adorable when he was excited by something his eyes seemed to sparkle as much as the stars in front of them.

“Hey, Hey look!” Yaku was startled out of his thoughts by his boyfriend yelling and pointing at something frantically, Yaku’s eyes followed where Kuroo was pointing and saw a small reddish-orange spot in the sea of stars

“I think that’s mars! And over there’s aquarius..” Yaku hummed in acknowledgement as his boyfriend rambled about different constellations, he had never been very interested in space but he loved hearing Kuroo talk about it, it never failed to make Yaku smile.

“-and did you know the word “constellation” comes from a Latin term meaning ‘set with stars.’” Kuroo asked looking at Yaku and smiling 

Yaku shook his head, a goofy grin plastered on his face. Kuroo leaned in and pressed a soft kiss to his lips before pulling away. Yaku's heart fluttered and he blushed slightly, his heartstrings tugged as Kuroo chuckled.

“You see any cool constellations?” Kuroo questioned turning his focus back to the sky, Yaku stared at the clusters of stars for a few minutes trying to find shapes before pointing at one

“that one kind of looks like a turtle?” he offered. it didnt really but he obviously wasnt very good with finding things in millions of stars.

Kuroo looked to where he was pointing “that one? Nah thats obviously a dick”

Yaku looked at it again and immediately started dying he was laughing so hard he feared he might actually suffocate

Kuroo stared at him for a few seconds before bursting out laughing as well. for a good five minutes they were just lying in the grass rolling around and literally crying from laughter 

It was a great night.

I finally arrived at yns village glancing around amazed at what she's accomplished "neteyam" my gaze quickly moving over to Norman "I can't believe my eyes" he smiled as he came closer "yn is gonna be soo happy when she gets back" he laughed "yn you mean my mate Norman" I turned to the unfamiliar voice my eye twitching as he said 'my mate' "who the hell are you" I muttered straightening up "oh look so tough" he mocked "the names krykan best hunter of the clan and the future chief" he grinned sticking out his arms gesturing to the whole village "yn already has a mate she doesn't need a new one" I muttered and hissed he smirked as he got my reaction but a yns call got our attention my breathing hitching as she lands jumping off her ikran and froze as she saw me "neteyam" she murmured I was about to say something but a punch was landed on my lower draw sending me a few steps back "she's mine" krykan hissed as he went for me again but swiftly dodging and kicked him in the ribs making him fall to the ground I quickly punched him in the nose surly breaking it but also sending his head back against the ground hard making him scream in pain "next time don't go for someone else's mate dickhead" I spat before running to yn and wrapped my arms tightly around her as she cried into my chest "I thought I lost you I thought I lost you" she hiccuped as her hands gripped my shoulders "I'm here yn" I smiled sadly kissing her head as I turned to take her to her hut after asking norm for directions "wow" I murmured as I entered her hut, her crys finally settling, her hut was like the one she had at home except for a few extra things here and there "I'm gonna lay you down yn" I whispered into her ear and made my way over to her bed, she whined as I layed her down "don't leave me" I chuckled as she made grabby hands towards me "don't worry I'm never going to leave you again" I murmured as I layed down beside her.

random KRYK headcanons

their tastes in practically everything is completely different (this one is technically canon but whatever) kuroo loves horror and yaku hates it, yaku likes strawberry ice-cream kuroo likes chocolate, kuroo hates snow and yaku finds it pretty.

kuroo often has to remind yaku to take breaks since he's the type of person to stay up all night practicing vball or studying, get roughly an hour of sleep, forget to eat, show up to practice, and faint.
