about nitearmor and her friendship with emily

i loved it! emily and i texted each other and we’re like “that’s an awesome moment! did you see them flying next to each other?” […] it was awesome, emily and i have such a good time together. we’re both such dorks, you put us in a room with nothing on the walls and nothing to entertain ourselves and we will have written an entire musical by the time you come back.

when asked about shipping, she said

i love the shipping, it’s hysterical! they’re shipping bo and the armorer, they’re shipping bo and din […] they would have to be post coital as close to the living waters as possible, just to roll back in and get redeemed all over. (she laughed a lot talking about it she’s so silly)

the interviewer mentioned the trauma bo has gone though, seeing viszla executed by maul and satine’s death

i think that emotional complexity of that character, those losses, absolutely plays into who she is now. those things are definitely things that i thought of - specially this season - the entire time that we were filming. the loss of satine is such a huge part of her life, part of her trajectory. i think the moment she lost her sister, it changed her direction for forever. […] i wish that we could talk about satine!

in conclusion: we need katee sackhoff to direct a bo-katan solo series. i didn’t transcript the most exciting parts because i want to encourage you to watch the whole thing, katee knows bo so well and said she wants to come back and explore more of her character.

idk, i feel like it can’t be overstated that satine kryze /would/ be so proud of bo-katan especially right now. she’s unifying the people, she’s gaining respect and loyalty beyond that which lies with the darksaber, and she’s doing everything in her power to keep her people safe and well.

she even gave up and surrendered everything, taking huge risks to ensure the safety of her people, and while it backfired her intent was so good and pure. she’s come so incredibly far from when she was in death watch, she’s living with kindness instead of hate, and i think that’s everything satine would have wanted for her.

i see people say that satine would blame bo-katan for what became of mandalore but i couldn’t disagree more. satine knew how hard ruling mandalore was. she’d never hold it against bo now, especially with everything bo did to save it, and with everything she’s doing now to get it back.

satine would be so incredibly proud of her and i won’t hear any different.

The House Kryze Sigil and Flowers

So I just learned today that we now know House Kryze Sigil.

And this definitely looks like a heraldic flower to me, in fact I'm pretty sure it's this lily like flower Satine Kryze wears in her headdress.

Her flowers were meant to represent native flowers to Mandalore. Her flowers resemble a cross between a pitcher plant and a Calla lily.

The symbol shows the funnel shape of the bloom with the style and stigma at the top. Leaves flank the side of the bloom.

I can't see it as anything else, and given Satine's love of Mandalore's natural life, it's a fitting sigil for the family.

And it's funny, because I thought for a while the symbol between Bo's helmet eyes was the owl's beak, but after looking at it and the sigil, it's not. I think her helmet incorporated the owl and the Kryze stylized flower.
