I relate to this on a painful level.

I think the best way I can describe it is that I came in on the tail end of the first era of social media. Communities were much more interactive, much more easily supportive, than they are now. They still had problems, obviously, but there was a lot more support there. So I got a taste of that when I was a super newbie artist. But now that we’re in a new era of social media where everything disappears in a hot minute and everyone is to afraid/busy to give feedback that support isn’t as easily accessed anymore, even though my art is MUCH better. It’s exhausting.

Holy shit....I kinda wanna play this game if these shenanigans are possible. I have no idea what it is, but sign me up!

lol! I was thinking this was just a random bit of unintentional hilarity, but I have run into a few dumb blockages like this (I had a robot furiously running into a block that I had to drag and, well, it wouldn’t move because the robot was there!) Anyway, the game is called Nier Automata (a sequel to Nier, which was a sequel to Drakengard). These games are my all-time favorites, nothing beats them in my book. They’re definitely not everyone’s cup of tea, and they have their share of issues, but damn...if you like dark, tragic, strangely thought-provoking, and insanely bizarre stories then I highly highly recommend the series 8D

Happy Almost 2024! Very pleased with these three new prints for 2024!

Three new designs: - My annual Loki Kintsugi print for 2024 encompassing the idea that we can root and flourish. - To ring in The Year of the Wood Dragon- a dragon coiled about a beautiful tree- its horns mimicking the branches and its tail curled in the roots (I'm a dragon myself so I'm pretty thrilled I got to do this :>) - Lastly a devotional print for Bast featuring some of her symbols- onions, hibiscus, perfume, kittens (for children)- and of course Bast herself loosely based off an Egyptian Mau :> You can find them at biolumenpress(dot)com :>

🛰️ - what’s the most poignant image you remember from a dream?     I don’t know if it’s poignant, but the one image that’s always stuck with me from a dream over my many years has been this static image of a giant, big-headed pair of children - similar to Phil and Lil from Rugrats, but not them - standing on a wood slat floor and using a magnifying glass from way to far away to successfully stare at ants.

I don’t know what it means, but I had that dream as a child and I think about it a lot…

🕹️ - what video game(s) hold the most nostalgia for you despite no one else feeling the same way?     Baldur’s Gate would be one because it was my first experience with gaming. The Pokemon games are another because whenever I was at sleepovers as a child and my chronic inability to sleep would rise up, I’d be able to whittle the night away playing it on my handhelds. It kept me going when I’d probably have panicked from not understanding why I couldn’t sleep.

👤 - what would you say is your symbol?     My symbol? Well, funnily enough, I have a symbol. It wasn’t one I chose for me, but it’s mine nonetheless: a shining jewel

🌌 - what are some themes in your dreams?     Mostly the theme of my dreams is a blurring of reality: funny encounters that could feasibly happen in my life, things of a mundane nature that I’ve let run through my head being acted out, nightmares of normalcy, and the like

🎒 - satchels or tiny backpacks?     Ahh, this is difficult as typically I’d say satchels, but my all-time favorite bag is a backpack.

❄️ - what gives you chills?     The desperate finality of hopelessness in the face of change

🌈 - what tends to make you step back and appreciate things?     When people surprise me. It’s nearly always a positive thing for me to be surprised by someone, and it just makes me step back and for a rare moment appreciate the variability and unpredictability of humans
