What OTPs in your fandom(s) do you just not get?

Considering there isn't a solid plot where all the characters interact? A lot actually. Some big ones include:

Any ship with Barnaby bc child

Any ship with Ghor bc teenager

Any ship with Sylas bc Sweeney Todd Otter

River and Thane bc there's too much sibling energy in there (I blame the Blight fancomic)

Ships outside of those that are reasonable though? They're fine.

Ornstein, raise your hand!” “Why?”, Ornstein said, still feeling himself raising his hand, after that whole fighting he could need a little stretch, only for Artorias to clap his hand with Ornstein’s with such a force and noise that made not only his ear rings but also his arm tremble.  “Artorias, what the hell?!”, Ornstein complained and looked at the guilty face of the wolf’s knight. “Sorry Ornstein.. it is called a high five and you do it when you want to celebrate success...”, he said sheepishly. “Well, can it be not as loud and painful next time?”, Ornstein said.  There was some surprise in Artorias’ eyes before he smiled and said: “Of course, captain!”

so how did V and hunter meet each other ? was it on a mission? also how did they get together? (sorry if this was in a comic before)

Hunter and V’s story can be divided into two main parts: pre Chosen!Hunter events and those that follow his ascension. Initially, both of them met when V sought out the Reapers to ask for temporary help in defending their haven against ADVENT retaliations that seemed to have increased drastically. She was careless in her curiosity to find the faction that ended up overrun by the Lost (her sniper rifle is rather loud). Dallion (Reaper!Hunter) was there too (on his own tracking mission) and he helped her fend them off. They (though reluctantly from his side) combined forces and got rid of all the lost.

Bio parts:

“-Even though at first Dallion was mostly annoyed with V, by the end of the skirmish he came to respect her skills and bravery to a certain degree. V tried to convince him to help their haven in exchange for the medicaments, supplies and a place to stay. Dallion reluctantly agreed to lend a temporary helping hand. V offered him a place at her house. Dallion warned her that his staying won’t ever be long due to him always being on tracking missions.

Slowly but surely, V fell in love with the mysterious Reaper who amazed her with his resourcefulness, talent and a special sense of humor. He seemed to be that ideal soldier, shooter and a master of disguise, who she wanted to be. V attracted him as well, though Dallion was more reluctant to show that openly.”

Dallion was also the one to almost completely rework her rifle so it would work almost soundlessly. We don’t have any comics that only focus on that time of their relationship, but we do have one that takes places after Dallion was assigned a mission and he parts with V and they both make a promise (however, he later gets captured by Warlock in order to be turned into Chosen and thus eventually V moves on and joins XCOM as it was before the Commander return).

The moment of his disappearance is the end of the first stage/part of their relationship. The second one starts when V meets Chosen Hunter for the first time during a mission about five years later just sometime after Commander’s return. She is unable to recognize Dallion in him due to not hearing from the last one for years and assuming he is dead + forgetting certain things about him to see Dallion’s face in Chosen features.

You could say she got rather fascinated with him and his behavior (on the primal level she was attracted to Dhai IL the same way she was to Dallion, because they are technically the same person), which caused her not to shoot him when there was a chance. She avoided shooting him on purpose and it awoke Hunter’s pry, as in none of the calculations he made had her not taking an obvious shot. Hunter took her captive, and upon closer examination, foggy bits of his past life started to leak in. It appeared V’s face was somehow kind of familiar to him, but he couldn’t recall anything (and if something started to kind of clear up, a sharp pain hit his head and forced the repressed and twisted memories to stay the same)

This made Hunter’s interest to grow even stronger, so he decided to keep V to himself, until his desire to know WHY he feels like he knows her is satisfied. That strange connection of familiarity and V being able to see past the Chosen title eventually led to them both growing closer and closer. We don’t know those exact events yet, because initially this ship was made to create some romance with him, so there weren’t THAT many thoughts put into details. There we had some nsfw stuff along with V learning about that tattoo on his chest and some more about his connection with the Elders.

It will all be (hopefully) fully explained in more comics or me actually writing things. ]

“Engineering!” Mordenna replied chipperly. “Ain’t nothing like throwing things at the wall and seeing what sticks. Have you ever built a gun wrong for fun? It’s a riot.” He gestured vaguely. “I suppose ‘murder’ is still on there, but… that’s more momentary than anything else. Woo. I killed someone. Where’s my medal of honor? On the other hand…” His face set, and he rubbed his mouth. “–maybe there’s one or two fuckwads that’d be nice to kill, yet.” Someone wasn’t quite liking what he saw in Jax’s Stronghold.

Fal-Mai blinked at the question. What was her hobby? When she was not acting as a blade of… XCOM now, what did she do? “… I suppose ‘weapon maintenance’ would be the closest approximation. I do find some measure of satisfaction in making sure my blades have been sharpened and polished–” as much as she could sharpen the Katana, anyway, “–and that my gun has been cleaned out.” Surprisingly, Fal-Mai taught herself how to disassemble and reassemble her gun so she could keep up the maintenance on it herself.

As for Jax? Well. Jax’s favorite pastime was playing music, especially in conjunction with his sermons. Though he has more skill with the piano, the violin is more of his favorite. Also a favored way to spend time was with his Priests, whether that be sitting in on their conversations or watching them create art, sometimes as the model. He’d tell you this himself, but, well… after last chapter he’s not feeling so hot.

Aconite, I have some advice for making friends (I'm not saying it's good advice). Get really, really drunk with whoever is up for it, since people tend to be a lot looser and more open when sloshed.

How excited are you for elden ring?

To be honest, not much. That doesn’t have anything to do with me not wanting the game though, I just have played video games for almost 30 years now and well... over the years I learned to keep my expectations low. Almost EVERY overhyped game turned out a major disappointment, so I just look for games where I think “I would enjoy this.” I think Elden Ring could be one of these games. That being said, I will wait patiently for its release and look forward to include Elden Ring headcanons in my headcanon blog.

hey uhhhh.... is the v viklund x hunter thing images only or is it an actual fanfic? if so where can i find it?

[ You have no idea how happy you made me by asking this. Well, I do have a few drabbles with them that I never posted because they are half-done, but for now there is no fanfic as it is, mostly comics/pics + bio that covers ups not only her but her and Hunter. I just know that I won’t handle writing a whole fic even if I really want to ;A;A few fanarts went to hell with the Tumblr purge as well, which makes me sad, but me and kawakona (who draws all the pieces) are planning to make more comics that explain all the things about them. Feel free to ask anything about her or them though. ]

She got a bit more serious, gesturing vaguely. “If it got down to brass tacks, I think I’d say ‘I wouldn’t be surprised,’ because given ADVENT’s track record? Given the Elders? These kinds of recruitment numbers aren’t so out of left field. It’s textbook, really–treat your forces like shit and they’ll start eyeballing the places where they won’t be. I’ve gotten flak for how ‘lenient’ I can be… but.” Her face set for a second, but it turned back into an easygoing smile. “I’ve learned the carrot always works better than the stick. It’s not like I’m actually in the military, anymore! I think I can make a few rules now.”
